I was so excited to go in because it was Sunday and I could get the Sunday pot roast. We typically order from here on a Friday when we decide to have it. The pot roast was delicious and I got a smothered sweet potato which was okay. It was hard to get through all the marshmallow. My sister had the roast beef and we had had the hash brown casserole tot things too. All the food was good. What wasn't good was the service from our waitress. She only ever said anything when she was taking our order and asking if we wanted refills. She stopped by at one point to say something but never did. She left the check without saying anything or asking if we wanted boxes. She literally dropped it on the table as she was walking by. I waited at the table for a box for a good 15 minutes because she never came over. I finally was able to stop her after she chit chatted with one of her other tables and when I asked for a box she made it like it was some mysterious thing that I wanted one. At this point my sister had already paid, went to the bathroom, and got back. To top it all off, when she was taking our drink orders, I asked for the huckleberry tea. She said they were out of. Ok, no biggie. Except when she was chitchatting with her other table, SHE GOT THEM A REFILL OF HUCKLEBERRY TEA! I honestly think our lack of service was because me and my sister are younger and she thought we wouldn't tip. Jokes on her because I used to be a waitress and now tip them very well (based on performance) because I know what they go through.

On 12/30/23 at 644 pm we were seated at table 151. Our server took our drink order fairly quickly. She returned with the drinks and took our food order. Approximately 15 minutes later she returned with two entrees neither of them were ours. Turned out they belonged to the table behind us who were seated before us. We waited another 15 minutes and she returned with two entrees, again neither were ours. They belonged to the table across from us, who were seated after us. By now our drinks were empty, and we had no food. Our server was nowhere in sight. We stopped the host told him the issue and asked to see the manager he called on radio and said the manager was coming. The manager never showed. It was now over 50 minutes since we were seated. Our server showed up again this time she had our entrees. As she put down our food she said the kitchen was messed up. I don't know if the kitchen was messed up because I didn't see that operation to make a comment. I can comment on service and management both were sub par. How can a server not know where the food is going everything is electronic. I knew I was at table 151 it was on the timestamp receipt the host put on table it's not magic. Seems like they always know where to drop the bill. The manager show extremely poor management skills by not coming to the table to at least offer an apology. Perhaps it's time for better customer service training Cracker Barrel. I have to take a minute and update my review. Cracker Barrel did contact me and offer a gift card to have me back to show they can do better. Thanks Cracker Barrel I have posted a lot of reviews with no response. It's nice to see a company that has accountability and pride in their product.

I have only been to a Cracker Barrel restaurant a few times (at various locations). This particular visit and location (on a cold rainy Friday) was special and different. To say it was warm and welcoming is an understatement. It was actually warm since they had their fireplace lit and a blaze. We were seated facing it, so we were able to watch it flicker while they continued to monitor it by stoking and added a log as needed. Since it was a Friday, we ordered the Captains Catch (only served on Fridays). It comes with fried fish, shrimp, hushpuppies, biscuits and 2 sides. I went with turnip greens and grits. Everything was served hot (not greasy) and fresh. When I think of Cracker Barrel, I think breakfast but now this visit has changed my mind.

It feels like an authentic American experience. As a Dutch guy I’m not used to (the size of) breakfasts like they serve at this restaurant. Let’s say you will not need any snacks until lunchtime. The waiter was really nice and helpful. We had breakfast at this place a few times during our stays. In my opinion the best thing I had was the Bacon n’ Egg Hashbrown Casserole.

Great place for food and history. The antic, rustic feel really adds to the atmosphere. Our server "Daniqua" forgive my spelling slim lady that had the tables to the corner did a fabulous job in taking care of us.

That's the place for breakfast lunch and dinner. 10 stars if possible. Where to start: super nice people, very friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious. Price is unseen anywhere else. I tipped 'em well. Can only recommend.

Josh was the best. He was so quirky and on top of everything. Who knew dining could be so fun! The food was great, and the atmosphere all festive for the holidays! 11/10

I haven’t been to cracker barrel in so long so I figured I would give them a try. Parking was great. I was on lunch break in my big work truck and was able to park in the bus parking with no problem. The service was great, I really didn’t like the watermelon lemonade something was off. The fried fish was great no complaints. The fried shrimps were small but good. I love broccoli was steamed perfectly. The biscuits were really hard so I couldn’t enjoy. Overall I was dissatisfied because I had great service. I would give them another shot for breakfast. I’m

Update My family and I went back to Cracker Barrel after being invited by the general manager to hopefully have a better experience. The service was prompt and they had us seated quickly and were very attentive. We had our drinks quickly, our food quickly, and it was hot. We didn't have to look for anything or ask for anything and the manager came out by the end to see how everything went. They were proactive with fixing the previous experience and had a great time. Definitely will go back as usual. My wife, her parents, and I went to cracker barrel as we routinely do for Sunday dinner to enjoy a good meal but it didn't turn out as planned. We had a small wait to be seated which was not a problem and we were seated for a reasonable amount of time. We sat down and begin to talk and about 5 to 10 minutes in we realized our server has not been to the table we tried to catch someone to ask them but he finally came out. He took our drink orders and we requested to make our food order at the same time, our server Benjamin took our orders but never came back from the back for at least another 15 minutes with our drink order and biscuits. He was spilling water everywhere from his carrying board but no one complained we just asked for plates, jelly, and napkins but once again he disappeared to the back for another extended period of time while our table was wet. He finally returned with napkins but no plates or jelly to eat, which we reminded him and he returned to the back for another 5 minutes. He finally came back with the plates but brought two grape jelly containers for the table, which we asked for a few more to have at least one for each person. Benjamin returned 5 minutes later to another table which we caught him and he gave them to us. We sat and waited and realized all of the servers were active but ours and the one or two other tables he had they also we waiting. We realized we have been waiting for food for about an hour and saw people that came in after us recieve their food or were finishing up to leave. I had to find someone to ask to get our server and after a few more minutes he came with our food. We asked for condiments, a knife, and a refill but he disappeared again. I ended up asking someone else for a knife and finding the condiments on another table. My father-in-law expressed that something was wrong with his meatloaf and his ham which we asked for someone to get our server, which he came out after about five minutes to say he will get the manager. John the manager came out maybe 10 minutes later after we almost finished our food and my father-in-law was waiting. We explained the situation to John which he didn't seem concerned about how long we waited or the service. He also didn't move urgently in reference to the issue with the meal which he mentioned about something else being ordered but by then we were over it and ready to go. We have been frequent customers on Sundays for years and it is often apart of our tradition but this has been the worst experience we have had there and is unacceptable.

I love Cracker Barrel, it's the best! The amount of food they give you for the price is awesome. It's got a nice atmosphere, and there's a fun little store at the front. Their chicken and their biscuits are so good. I also highly recommend the peach iced tea.

Always enjoy Cracker Barrel, it’s comfort food. The service is always friendly and good. Food is sometimes a little bland but nothing a little salt and pepper can’t help. Chicken and dumplings are pretty good.

Steak was nicely done as were the sides. Chicken and dumplings were plentiful-- an extra large portion, but dry. Wait staff mentioned that kitchen was "running slow" and "We're behind". It happens. Our waiter was friendly and professional. Overall, a good visit.

Grew up going to Cracker Barrel when traveling with family. Walked down memory lane with a visit today. Still the same as ever. Home-style, simple, stick-to-your-ribs goodness.

The food is truly homemade. People of all kinds were in here. It is family friendly and has a cute gift shop inside the place. The bench I'm sitting on you can buy and take home. Overall I had a good experience here.

2 mice running around the dining room. I decided not to finish my meal and asked for a manager and still got the bill! He mentioned that he appreciated me bringing it to his attention and he would call the pest control company. Never offered to clear the $10 bill even though I left half the food. At least three other tables took good videos as I did of the mice just running around like it was their natural evening events

Went around noon today and got breakfast with my girlfriend. Service was ok Food and drinks weren't. Her first cup of coffee was cold when it came. Second was hot but in a dirty cup. I ordered the grits and they were tasteless. Had to doctor them up with salt, extra pepper and extra butter. My biscuits were hard and semi warm. Eggs were cold. My chicken fried steak and gravy were the only thing that I liked. Her food was good. No complaints. Don't think I'll be going back.

The store was absolutely cute! I ordered the fried turkey and it was delicious! The fried okra and turnips were delicious as well. Only thing, was the biscuits weren’t as fresh, otherwise it was good. I’ve never been to a Cracker Barrel before till now.

I came here to visit a cousin that lives in the area and although it was very busy on MLK day in the late morning/early afternoon, my party was seated immediately. Our serve Renee was great, especially with our cousin who has special needs. The food wasn’t amazing to me, but the overall customer service experience was great!

Good ole country cooking. Often busy during holidays and/or weekends so call ahead. Busy crowds means busy service so expect to wait sometimes but the wait staff does its best. I took a break from the usual breakfast meals and tried the catfish. I was very pleased!

Ordered chicken tenders & they were not all the way done. See the video & the pictures. My 1 year old granddaughter wouldn't eat the chicken. My daughter threw out the food as I had to for the 1 year old. My lil guy ordered the burgers kids meal & he enjoyed it. He said the burger was tasty. I ordered the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes & gravy. I didn't really care for the gravy, but the mashed potatoes were pretty good. The broccoli tasted more hydrogenated than steamed, but with some flavoring I was able to get it down. See the pics & video below. A waste of almost $80.00 for our dinner tonight.

Was greeted by the host with a nice smile. Once seated, Soo warm and cozy. We sat by the wood burning fireplace and hearing the wood crackling was super cool. It definitely added to the element of the holidays. Crystal, our server was the bomb. So friendly and patient. The pancakes were nice and buttery and with the warm syrup, sheesh, super yummy. My sausage was good but a little over cooked. Grits were tasty. Eggs were eggs. My husband's steak was yummy as well. Can't wait to return.

I was really impressed with this Cracker Barrel. It was probably the most modern one I’ve ever been to and I worked at a few different locations. We had really good service and the food was exceptional. Fried turkey was amazing with all of their homemade sides.

Food was good, servers were nice. It wasn't too busy so they were fine with us hanging out. Prices reasonable, would definitely go back. I had breakfast for dinner, Momma's Pancake Breakfast I think it's called. Everything cooked perfectly and was tasty. Coffee was good too!

As a longtime patron and frequent traveler, we have enjoyed dining at many Cracker Barrel’s. Tonight was one of the most enjoyable. We experienced fast, friendly service and excellent Food. Our server, Lisa, was especially attentive to our needs. We like to reward people when They provide great service. Thank you, Cracker Barrel. Why don’t you open one in Delaware? June and Tom

Good food for a good price. Very attentive waitperson. Only issue was a longer wait for our food than expected. It wasn't overly busy, so I'm not sure what happened. Will definitely go back, since it is nearby.

This is a recent experience, yesterday in Ridley Park. I went there for a birthday party. The two waitress there were awesome. We had over 9 tables. The food was good, but my sourdough French toast could have had more eggs and less toast taste, and my eggs were very runny. I asked for soft and not runny. I ordered a fudge brownie to go, which was chocolate cake with fudge icing. The rest of the party enjoyed everything and ordered more food to take home. The bathrooms were disgusting, extremely unkept. Will I return? Yes, I'll return looking for the same waitress but I'll order something different.

I hardly ever complain about CRACKER Barrel but. We were looking forward to a great chicken and dumpling dinner. The dumplings are usually very delicious but this time there was so much pepper on them I had to add more ketchup than normal still didn't help. My wife who likes pepper also was disappointed. The waitress said that was how the cook prepared them. We have not been back. We will try going back shortly.

Light right in my eyes where I was seated needs fixed.table to the left of the fireplace. (When you are facing it)Food was great! Eggs were not cooked over med they were like soup. Renee my server was rude , never refilled our glasses. Never asked if we needed anything else. Brought the check right after our food was served like she was done with us. She needs a lesson in proper waitress etiquette. It’s quite possible she didn’t even know how mean she sounded.😳still tipped her 5 bucks. Please retrain her. Alex at the register had to make me a Dr Pepper to go! Thanks Alex Thanks Cracker Barrel is always top notch 😊

Came in around 7:30 pm. Restaurant was pretty much empty. Twice as many empty tables as full. Hostess said it was a 20 minute wait. They supposedly had only 3 servers who apparently could only take care of two tables at a time. Meanwhile the hostess is sitting on her backside and the manager is no where to be found. No wonder store revenues are down... guess what? We won't be back.

Positives: Wood-burning fireplace in restaurant provides a setting for a romantic lunch or dinner, reasonably-priced food, friendly greeters who take reservations in the cute storefront Negatives: Nene was my server for lunch yesterday. After she gave me my order, she walked away without providing me utensils. I had to request them. She gave me a dirty look when I also asked her for a napkin, so I did not tip her. Because of her attitude, I will not come back.
