    Waited in the dine-in line for 30+ minutes, only to get to the front and have a manager openly tell an employee not to take our order and focus on the drive-thru line instead. The employee obviously felt bad that we (and everyone else in the line) had been waiting for so long and tried to help us anyway, only for the manager to yell at him in front of everyone for doing so. Having worked in food service like many, many others, I understand the struggles of being understaffed, but in my opinion, there is no excuse for someone in a position of leadership to show such incredible unprofessionalism.

    Slowest "fast" food restaurant I have ever been in! They stopped taking orders because they wanted the kitchen people to catch up. 🙄 people were lined to the back of the restaurant. It still took us 20 minutes or more to get our food. Definitely don't go here if you are hungry or in a hurry!

    As far as fast food restaurants go Wendy's is my favorite. But this location sucks. The self serve kiosks are ALWAYS down, I walk out if that is the case. I encourage everyone to do that. And the tables are never cleaned. Going through the drive through is not an option, because I can place literally any order and I will get something else or the order is completely wrong. Level this place and make a parking lot. As much as I like Wendy's, Boone needs a parking lot more than the garbage they serve.

    This is an unusual Wendy's with an upstairs. Stopped in later than usual and was pleasantly surprised the staff was super fun and friendly. My order was correct and cooked perfect. Made for an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

    We stopped by for milkshakes and a sandwich to eat and the staff was very quick, even with 10 or more cars before us we only had to wait about 15 mins before we were ordering. Unfortunately they only have 2 flavors for "Frosty's", Strawberry and Chocolate. The Chicken sandwich I ordered was done right with the correct toppings and cooked thoroughly. I was pleased with the food but disappointed with the limited milkshake choices but that is a corporate decision not a store one. I know it makes it easy for the kids to choose which shake they want and for Wendy's to cut back on inventory but if I was not hungry I would go elsewhere for a milkshake.

    I can not believe the lack of customer service at this Wendy's. They get a 10 out of 10 for lack of concern to take care of the customer. I have never seen such slow service. I got in the drive thru at 10:17 to order breakfast on Sunday 11/7. There were 3 cars in front of me. I got up to the speaker to give my order simple order 2 bacon egg croissants and a large diet soda. I was told they are no longer serving breakfast. It didn't matter that I was in line before they stopped serving and they didn't care. Their response was we are no longer serving breakfast. Had they been moving faster I would have ordered before 10:30. We'll guess what Wendy's I will no longer be a Wendy's customer. They are plenty other places serving breakfast that are a lot faster. They will now get my money.

    Stone cold hamburger was served to me at the drive through. The bun feels like it came right out of the refrigerator. It was cold completely through. I did not even get a receipt in the drive-through to be able to go back and get a refund. Tried to call the store and they pick up the phone and just hang up so that I don’t have to talk to anyone

    Sigh... Where do I begin. Do I start with the fact that they were out of orange juice? Or that it took 10 minutes to get my French toast sticks? Maybe I should start with the fact I bought two orders of 6 French toast sticks and I only got 1 thing of syrup. The staff was friendly but I would never visit this Wendy's again... Thank the Lord I'm not from Boone.

    Two story Wendy's? Yup. Pretty nice and clean. Food was a little meh but mostly because they were so busy. We waited almost 30 minutes for our order.

    Just left drive thru crispy but with no cheese or tomato. Still came with cheese and the bacon was extremely burnt. Sub par even for fast food standards.

    I've been here about 3 times and I've had to throw out my drink and go out of my way to buy a new one every single time. You'd think sweet tea would be easy, but on my most recent visit I got handed a large tea that was clearly watered down. The lady at the window didn't have enough sweet tea for my drink so she just filled the rest with water. I'm not picky, so I try to drink it anyways and it tastes like straight soap water. They do not care at all about the quality of the product handed out the window, and if they don't even care to fix what the customer can see you can only imagine the things they do without you seeing. Hopefully this review will make them care about quality control but I highly doubt it, if you want a good meal with a drink and nothing raw, don't go here.

    Just because you send 5 different cars to park and wait for their drive through order DOES NOT make you a better restaurant. You may be fooling corporate with your ticket times, but the customers are being told to wait over 20 minutes for chicken nuggets you throw in the fryer for 5 min tops. Can’t really expect good service at restaurants anymore I guess

    Out of all the years in Boone I’ve never had to park and wait for my food. Especially when it comes to just a sandwich. I had to wait forever just for a sandwich. What did y’all have to do go get the cow and prepare it yourself?

    I had to go through the drive through twice to get my complete order, and the 🍟 had the ghost pepper sauce on them.I 'm finished with the Boone Wendy's.

    Normally I wouldn't post a bad review, since I generally enjoy eating at Wendy's. I'm a bit frustrated because of how simple my order was, and how easily they messed up my order. I ordered a sausage biscuit combo on my way to work and the line wasn't even busy. When I got to work to eat my breakfast, they had put a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit in my order instead of a sausage biscuit. I wouldn't be so frustrated if I could just remove the ingredients, but the cheese is all melted. I can't eat dairy, because I get really bad GI issues from eating dairy products. At this point I can't even return to the store to get the right order because I've already made it to work. In summary, check your food to make sure your order is right. It's more important to get the orders right than how quickly you can get the line moving.

    Arrived at the store at 10:30 p.m. after placing an order on the app. Sat in the drive-thru line until 10:50p.m. and during that time they only had passed food out to two cars. Quickly realize that they were taking 10 minutes per car and I still had six more cars in front of me. Cancelled my order and left

    We love Wendy's, but at this location the Dave's Single patty was overdone. It was tough and crunchy on the edges. The chicken sandwich was very good though. We will give this location another chance.

    I came through here last night and waited in line for 40 minutes (I checked when I placed my order online to make sure I had the time right). When I said how long it had taken at the drive thru I was told in a very demeaning voice that they're shortstaffed. What? I worked fast food, and there is no excuse for taking that long. There were probably 10-12 people in front of me, and several left, so you're telling me it takes 5 minutes per order to get out to people? If that's the case they need to hire more people. Don't go here.

    Slowest Wendy's I've ever seen in my life. Especially the drive thru at night. It wraps around, and many customers end up driving off. This is especially difficult for Doordashers who are trying to make money and have to sit in line for over an hour.

    One soda machine only dispensed ice and one soda flavor, while the other one dispensed soda and no ice. Most of the flavors were unavailable. The food was good but the drink situation wasn't great. The drink and cup station in general was kind of a mess. There was a pile of ice under the machine that was making ice. You had to keep pushing the handle in to get 2 cubes at a time before starting the process all over again. Restrooms weren't the neatest, either. The staff working on food and serving were friendly and the food was fine. I just feel like they're not concerned with what's happening beyond the kitchen and order counter.

    Fast service at the drive thru with 4 orders and everything was correct. The French fries were skimpy…very skimpy. Ordered the Ghost Pepper Ranch Chicken Sandwich and I’m happy to say a fast food restaurant has finally made a legitimate claim. The sandwich is spicy. Not to a ghost pepper level, but maybe a medium hot jalapeño level. I hate American cheese, however I like their ghost pepper American cheese on the sandwich. Keep it on the menu. Only thing that could have made it better would’ve been a full container of fries.

    Please never go here! Never have been discriminated at a Wendy’s establishment before today. The manager of this Wendy’s was very inefficient instead of solving the problem of the guest that made a mobile order through drive through and decided to do a dine in. They neglected the order for a dine in, and instead of the manager helping they should’ve helped remake the order, and the money was already taken away from the bank. This was a terrible service to the guest. The manager and their cashiers need to be re-trained in their respective jobs.

    Like all fast food places, this location was understaffed and struggling during the lunch hour. But our food was all made correctly, tasted great, and was hot. Make sure you take the time to eat inside and enjoy the second story. As a former App State student, it was amazing to see the first time I visited Boone, and I still enjoy blowing people's minds with tales of a 2 story Wendy's.

    The food wasn't too bad. The place was nasty. The bathrooms were nasty! Some girl walked around with a broom and poked at trash on the floor. There was food spilled on steps. No toilet paper in one restroom. So nasty in dining room I'd be willing to bet the health department would have fun in this restaurant. See attached pics!

    Honestly ridiculous that every time I order Wendy’s online that I never get the sauce that I ask for. Not that hard to include sauces and actually get my order right. I never post reviews but it’s happened consistently where my order has either been messed up or I don’t get what I ask and pay for. Don’t recommend the Wendy’s in Boone at all. Ridiculous.

    I went to Wendy’s this evening and it was packed. Super busy, while it took awhile to get through the drive-thru, the staff were very kind! Chad specifically had amazing customer service!

    The Wendy's in Boone, NC, has awesome hamburgers. We ordered a double and it was delicious, made from only fresh, not frozen ground beef. My wife did not burp up the meat because they were non greasy and low in fat. The patties were square and so big that they were jutting out from the bun. Even the bread was freshly baked and had a nice sweet flavor. Roy Rogers, look out. Wendy's has improved dramatically and is giving you some serious competition.

    The store was understaffed. Those who were working should be commended. This is a busy location. Both drink machines were out of drinks and they were out of ketchup. They said they didn't have packets available either. What??!! No ketchup for a place that serves fries?

    The food is good and stuff but I cannot tell you how many times they have messed up our orders, forgotten drinks and etc. But recently I saw the cookers (in the drive thru) touch food with their bare hands. No hand washing or anything, just touching raw chicken then moving on to the fries. No hand washing no rubbing hands against a towel or anything. I was in disbelief.

    I ha e been to this Wendy's since I was a kid it has always been nice and clean and good service ... for the first time I was shocked and the mess and how not so good the food was. I can say maybe they are short handed or just having a tough time but one thing is for sure they need some help. HOPE THEY CAN FIX THE PROBLEM

    The only reason I give 4 stars instead of less is because they redeemed themselves. My family went in for a meal and the kids were super excited about the second level. Our order took forever, because they gave half of it to a GrubHub order (by mistake of course). So they had to remake most of our order. The only saving grace is that the girl behind the counter (I wish I remembered her name to give her credit) was friendly and that the food was super fresh and correct when we finally got it. We will probably stop in again when we are back in town.

    This location was short of help so we tried to take this Into consideration when we stopped for breakfast. Biscuits were hard. Sausage probably had been sitting under a warmer for a while. My wife's gravy on her biscuit was very thick and barely warm. Dave would roll over in his grave knowing his restaurant served this low quality food to customers. At least the employee in the drive thru was nice

    Good food, steeper prices- I like the food here, especially the Baconator, Frosties are always something I get when I go by Wendy's. But the prices on sandwiches and other menu items aren't the greatest, paying upwards $10 on a meal for one person. Very good quality and staff demeanor otherwise, wouldn't be a regular location I'd visit.

    Was very disappointed with today's meal. Burger bun cold, meat Very Luke warm, ketchup cold, cheese never lost its shape from square. Fries were warm, But very salty. Drink was perfect. This is not normal for this location, so I'm even more dissatisfied because I chose to wait on eating until I got to town to get a burger from here .

    Clean and comfortable! Very accomodating for us and our dog, without any outrageous fees. Staff is extremely friendly. We so enjoyed the hot tub after hiking to a couple of beautiful waterfalls. Rooms are spacious and they have anything you could want or need.
