I skipped lampuyang Temple because of long wait and came here. I am super happy with my decision. There are gates here as well and a person clicks photo for you with mirrors image with no price (you can still donate him as thank you gesture). The pics are amazing. And the view is beautiful. Would anytime recommend this. The roads are bumpy but we went by scooter to the top. It’s doable. No parking charges. Entrance ticket is needed. There is no need of taking jeep if you have bike and can drive on slope.

A great place to enjoy sunrise and mount Agung view 🌄. The road there is maintained well, but be careful because it is winding and uphill. If you go by car, you need to hike for 800m from the car park. There are options to rent a jeep or motorbike taxi to go there too. If you go by motorbike, the parking lot is further up so you don't need to hike far. The view is amazing, especially when mount Batur is touched by the sunrise light ⛰️. It's very windy up there so bring your jacket if your wind defense is low 😁. Tickets are affordable, 60k for international tourists, 40k for domestic tourists, and 20k for local citizens.

Very stunning spot to watch the sunset, I would say though that I found a better and more photogenic view from the parking lot and I could have saved the 50k they charge nowadays to foreigners (40k if you’re on Kitas). On the top there is some human made tree platforms, and some other staff to take pictures if that’s your thing. Not worthy of the bumpy road and the entrance fee in my opinion… it’s quite windy as well up there. Anyways, it’s very impressive and well worth it to get here:)

Amazing views, highly recommend! It’s not far from gates of heaven and way less crowded. There is an 800 meter walk up to it but it’s not bad and definitely worth it!! Staff was super friendly and showed us around. They offer a sunrise camping experience which I wish I could return for

Most beautiful viewpoint in the whole of Bali! Soo happy it’s still not that known amongst tourists. The road up is doable by scooter, but you have to be confident. But it’s totally worth it! You have 3 minutes to take pictures at the tree but it’s more then enough. The locals there, help you out massively to pose and have good pictures. But not only the pictures are a beautiful memory after but also just the view is massively one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen! Do watch out for the clouds though, I would say it’s not worth it to go up if it’s cloudy. But even for us, it started out really grey and when the sun was setting everything disappeared in a second. We took the most beautiful pictures!

Entrance fee is 30k rupiah for locals and 75k rupiah for foreigners. The view was really nice up there, you can also take some pictures in their selfie spots, there also some locals that can help you to take a really nice picture, and they’re really nice. You can tip them as you want. But the thing is, the terrain to get to the place is not easy, they rented out a jeep to climb up for 50k rupiah per person, or you can just walk for around 15 minutes or 5 minutes climb with your motorcycle. But the problem if you want to ride with motorbikes is the road is so sandy and surrounded by cliffs, so you need to be extremely careful, otherwise you’ll slipped. When you get up there, the view is worth it

The most incredible sunrise views, the sun rises and illuminates mount Agung in the background for some spectacular scenes, pictures don’t do it justice! Careful if you ride the bike to the top of the mountain it is slippery as they water the ground, otherwise park your bike and hike up for 5 mins, the road is very well maintained and easy to navigate on bike, scooter and car, you will see the entrance where there is a fee for 50k - totally worth it!

Awesome views. Great place for creating memories and taking very memorable pictures. We arrived by car late 6pm and sky is turning dark quickly. Advised to reach latest 5.30pm and enjoy a few moments here. Need to hike 20mins up or take the local motorbike rides (one way 30k rupiah). 4WD can reach too.

If you’re in the area and headed to the temples, this is a MUST DO stop. So far, not heavily trafficked so still good. The road is unpacked and steep, and not recommended by bike, and be sure if using a vehicle that it’s not a large van. Views are incredible!

My highlight in Bali!! Went there for sunrise and it was magical! I recommend taking the jeep, especially when it’s muddy. Jeep ride both ways was 50.000 and entrance another 50.000. There were only about 10 people there when I arrived. The view is absolutely breathtaking! You’ll be able to take some unforgettable pictures! I can highly recommend it!

Lahangan Sweet was definitely the highlight of our entire trip in Bali. We arrived at around 5pm while waiting for sunset around 6pm. We went with the expectation of just another instagrammable photo spot but when the view unveiled before our naked eyes - it truly took our breaths away. The view overlooking the majestic Mount Agung is just spectacular. The terrain up the hill was not an easy road. Luckily we had a skillful driver who was able to navigate through the twists and turns of the slopes steadily; and then from the car park, it is another 800m up to the viewpoint - two options available: going up with a jeep at 50K IDR per person or hike up (but not for the faint hearted as it’s definitely steep). Traveling to this place is also far from town, we took around 2 hours from Kintamani. However, it is totally worth it!

I went on my last day in Bali for a sunrise experience with my wife. We got there about 20-30 minutes before the sun came out. We did not buy any tickets before arriving to Lahangan Sweet. Our experience: we went late October in 2023. We were the first people to arrive before sunrise. 4 more groups arrived after us by the time we left. Before sunrise it was about 55 degrees (in Fahrenheit) and windy at the top. Do make sure to bring a blanket and warm clothes!! The weather got warm after the sun came out. Clouds can get in the way of your view but wait 30 seconds to 5 minutes and the clouds will move. Once the sun came out the staff of Lahangan Sweet come out and offer to take pictures of guests. The sunrise was great, the combination of colors and trees and the landscape were phenomenal. Pictures came out great. The photo locations mostly have Mt. Agung as the background. There was one location with the east as the background. Getting there: our driver picked us up from Amed at around 4:30 am and it took about 1 hour to arrive to the base of Lahangan Sweet entrance. The drive from Amed was fine for the first 40 minutes. The last 20 minutes were going up the mountain on a dirt road with stones and potholes, also some parts of this road are steep. I would make sure your driver/vehicle is fine driving up the mountain. Once at the base/bottom of Lahangan Sweet, you are given the option to walk (hike) up to the main entrance (for free) or take an off-road vehicle (we paid 50k IDR each). This off road jeep took about 3 minutes and drops you off at the actual entrance and there you pay an entrance fee of 50k IDR per person.

Awesome If you tired by walking climbing up then you can using local motorcycle to going there in parking car area. Just left side before security asking where do you want to go,lempuyang temple or lahangan sweet. Dont to late afternoon,or you got dehidration. Bring some water, and make sure the weather is good, not raining. Sometime cloud covering the mountain and it will look just regular place,so find your best moment there. Ticket price is 30k and swing is 20k For motorcycle is 80k for a couple go and back, but if you love walking and little bit tired walking to up,its fine. But please support local people there😊

The most fascinating place in Bali! It absolutely worth it to spend some time to get there, because you are able to have the greatest time right on the top and take gigabytes of photos 😅 The place is quite far for tourists so there were like four more people at the same time (and it was Sunday morning).

Well worth getting up early for sunrise. Chatting to people who also went for sunset, looking at their photos would be worth 2 trips if you have time. We enjoyed sunrise, quiet and brisk breeze making the clouds dance.

There is nice cafe at the start of jeep transfer with a nice views. 50k for a jeep or 1km by foot to reach this place. No idea if there is another cost at the top

This place is stunning! Met some nice locals, and even though today was a bit cloudy the views were still really nice👍 Costs just 30k to get in and honestly it was really clean here compared to some tourist spots so I was happy to support them. I drove here from amed and the road is good. I'm sure it's a different story in the rainy season but for dry season you can drive a motorbike all the way up.

This marker is the entrance to Lahangan Sweet, it is not the actual peak. From this location you would either walk another 800M or use a 4WD jeep ferry which are running frequently. It's also possible on a motorcycle yet take care as I did slide on both wheels coming down, without incident, just a few laughs from the Jeep in front of me. Lahangan Sweet was up there with my top Bali experiences, the journey, the wonderful ambience on top, to see the rural regions in a great loving departure from the urban areas. Don't visit Ahmed and not see this....

One of the best views you'll get in Bali. We can see the magnificent Mount Agung and ocean view and the sunset is damn pretty. It's best place to spend evening. It was not crowded when I visited.

On the top of the mountain. Fresh air and nice cold wind . Huge panoramic view , a lot of nice spots for beautiful photos or just chilling . Not so many people , that makes it more enjoyable. The mud path is doable if you have some off road experience and strong arms . Be careful when it rains it’s very slippery and the way back to Amed on night time can be hard .

Great spot for impromptu photoshoots. Perfect place to spend time while waiting for your turn at Lempuyang Temple (Gate of Heaven). It's a 15 minute ride from the temple. Lovely place. Stunning views. Less crowd as it is barely a year old. The people working there are very friendly and help you take photos. Worth travelling the rather bumpy steep road by bike with the people working there.

Great spot for photoshoots. Had i known this place before i would have skipped gates of heaven, which was overhyped. We had several photoshoots here with reasonable rates. Also it is a very scenic and romantic place. I would recommend to all who are looking for good photoshoot and a scenic view.

Beautiful, recommend to everyone! No waiting, no crowds, great price!!!! AMAZING VIEWS & AMAZING PHOTOS !!! Recommend walking up or paying to get taken up the 800m hill by car DON'T do it by scooter extremely dangerous on the way down. I learned the hard way. Off the beaten track but when the locals recommend something there's a reason why. Well worth the visit 10/10 👍

The observation deck offers an unparalleled vantage point for viewing the majestic volcano and other nearby attractions. Its affordable entry fee and beautifully maintained grounds are added bonuses to the breathtaking panoramic views. The staff members are the real stars of the show, going above and beyond to assist visitors. They expertly guide you to the perfect viewing angle and are even willing to help capture these memorable moments on camera. One word of advice: bring enough cash for generous tips. I regret not doing so, as their exceptional service certainly deserved more. Don't repeat my mistake - come prepared to show your appreciation for their outstanding assistance. This viewing deck is a must-visit for its remarkable views and commendable staff.

Amazing view points. Very well maintained grounds. Convenient jeep shuttle up to the main area. Would suggest unless you’re in the mood for a 15/20 min steep hike. Getting to the base camp is a bit of a tricky drive so make sure you have a strong enough scooter to get up the steep hills, or hire a driver.

I thought it’s just another tourist scam but it’s not. You should definitely visit this place. There is entrance fee, but they don’t want to sell you anything after that, there’s no plus money for the pictures. And yeah that is a viewpoint. That’s it. And doesn’t want to be more than that. And i like it. However it could be really cloudy sometime and those times the view is not so great. 😂 the guys said the usually the mornings are better.

During good weather this is superb viewing point on both sides of the mountain. I bet views are even more stunning during sunrise and sunset. Place is clean and big and has a lot of spots for photos. Only swing is for additional pay. Road here is fine except for the last 800 meters. The point on Google Map shows you the beginning of this 800 meters stretch (goes away and up from the pawed road). You can use motorbike but it will be quite a bumpy ride. So you better walk on foot or take a car ride (50k per pax). During rainy weather the road becomes too bad. Entry on the top costs 30k without the swing.

Great place for meeting sunset. There are several photo zones there on next hill. Don’t miss it. Possible to camp there. The last part of road is without asphalt but possible to go on good bike. Otherwise 15 minutes walk from warung on the turn.

This is not in planet earth.. its look like on heaven. ooo man, you will not imagine how beautifull is this place. Soooo pretty and amazing. Located is on hill, not far from Lempuyang temple the gate of heaven. I have no words to explain how beautifull this place is. The scenery remind me about western movie, The Last of the Mohican. The car parking is downside because your car can not going up because of the road condition. Especially after hard rain, its gona be very muddy and slepery. But from all of the effort, it worth to visit.. you will be look like fly to heaven.. come and visit.. trust me..

I was here last year in October. I took a gojek motorbike to get up. Unfortunately it was windy and very cloudy when I was there and unfortunately I couldn't see Mount Agung. Nevertheless, the view was stunning and beautiful ❤️

This is one of the most beautiful places in Bali. You can see sunrise and sunset. You can see Mount Agung. You can see Mountains and Sea. Lots of photo spots as well as the famous Bali swing. The ticket is 30k for all photo spots and the beautiful place. Swing is 50k additional if you want to do it. Not many people, so you can enjoy it peacefully.

Not many people know about this place, including our local driver. This location provides amazing views ie. the nearby Amed town. Entry was IDR30,000 per person. We took their jeep up, which cost IDR50,000, it was super bumpy 🥵 we saw many people walking up on their own though! They allow you camp overnight as well, so that you can catch the sunrise/sunset :)

  • 5/5 Sebastian 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely crazy spot to view either sunset or sunrise. The view on Mount Agung is phenomenal. On a rather cloudy day in amed we drove up to the Lahangan Sweet with no expectations and we were impressed by the clear view. The hight of the viewpoint makes the view less dependent of clouds which is great! The drive upwards at the end is very hard by scooter (still was manageable to get there). We loved it and the feeling was incredible. A must if you’re in the area! Price was 30k per person. The view was just good enough for the price. Instead of paying 100k p.p at Tirta gangga I‘d definitely get here for the view.
