To access the library you need to slay a dragon, find the Philosophers’s stone and save Middle Earth from the forces of Sauron. Then you must search for a cave in the high Arctic to find a secret phrase that will persuade the non-english-speaking librarian to grant you access, for she preerves her books from curious readers like a dragon guards his hoard of treasure…

It is a "very" small art library which is quiet and with a fine view to the garden. The staff is very friendly. The last times I went there I found it to be over packed. I see many people complaining and even in rage because of not being able to use it since they don't study Art. I think considering how small the space is it is fair that only people connected to arts could use it. Very close by there is a large and beautiful public library that can accomodate much more people. It is called Biblioteca Palácio Galveias located in Campo Pequeno. Check it out!

Unfriendly staff. Ugly dark library. Extremely exclusive for art researchers, even difficult to get in as an art student. Conclusion: elitist policy strengthening Portugal's extremely unequal society. NO ACCESS FOR THE MANY. Farewell, never again

Basically is a great place with sun and large garden , the issue is students out of ART Spesialty are not allowed to study in the bibliothec, which is not fair at all regarding a student life , overall the woman that works there claimed that is the case since 2016/ 17 , hopefully it will change soon !?

It is said to be a library open to the public, but it does not allow access to professionals and students who are not in the Arts. They require registration and ask what area you work in and exactly which works you want to research in the library.

Biblioteca dedicada as artes bastante completa.

An excellent library and very competent staff and librarians. Access was restricted, it's true because years ago the Serbian library was used to date, to chat and to study subjects that had nothing to do with the library as these students didn't even make loan requests. I think these restrictions are very good because those who want to study go to their colleges. The library is for checking out books.

It's a joke!! Students who are not studying arts such as architecture and the like cannot study there because the space is only for these students. RIDICULOUS

I'm just adding a ⭐️because there is no other smaller option!!!!! Lack of organization of security staff. And it doesn't explain things well!!!
