I do not recommend. The food was not good and there is nothing traditional about it. The menu included only a slice of meat (various types) and fries. The veal and pork were terribly tough and the fries very greasy. Service very unpleasant.

I tried to eat here several times, since it was recommended by a local. The first time we were literally put it out, fully booked they claimed, although only a couple of tables were occupied. At the 2nd attempt we finally got a table. Staff not much friendly, personal discussions and comments on loud voice were unwanted and unprofessional, food so so, nothing special. The 3rd time, in a larger group, we were told to wait at the door, completely ignored for ages, and we left after a while. To never return.

Very traditional place with a nice and relaxed environment. Very good local food and meat! A bit slow service but the quality of the food pays off!

Such a nice, small local place! Delicious food from Alentejo, and a very friendly owner who was willing to help us despite our lack of Portugese. We loved the Migas here! Just to note, the octopus day is on Thursday :)

The Maître d'H speaks Portuguese. He is very patient in explaining the menu with gestures and examples for guests that don't speak Portuguese (yet). Great local food and ambiance

Taberna A Pipa is an absolutely wonderful place that left us thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, setting the tone for a fantastic dining experience. Very friendly place. Tipical food with daily plates. We passed from algarve to Lisbon and had luch at Taberna Pipa. Price is great for the quality. We eat Bochechas de porco preto estufadas with Migas. Red wine. Will return again.

What a lovely lovely restaurant - owned by husband and wife team - the food was simply delicious, well prepared - decor is typically alentejo which I love - service was superb - this is a definite go back to place - a hidden oasis not full of tourists but locals so it's really good food

Excellent food at fair price. Even though it need more more varied dishes, especially daily menu and soups.

A very folkloristic experience, just like going back in time. As it was a group dinner we couldn't appreciate lot's of option in the menu. But the staff was nice and surely we need to get back!

Waited ages for our meal. No roast or boiled potatoes with the lamb chops. Just boring chips from a bag.. .
