This place is unreal. I would suggest visiting at different times of the day depending on the weather as well. If it's been wet you will clearly see the prints. If not then perhaps don't visit when it's midday. Morning or late afternoon is probably best. We felt pretty lucky here. We were the only people to be here. You can get up close and see clear dinosaur prints which have been excavated. Parking is free. The area is roped off. Respect the boundaries. This area and prints date back 200 million years. It's a hidden gem. There are no facilities on site. Access is possible for most with limited mobility. There is a small set of steps. The nearest towns don't have much in the way of coffee or toilets. But you are no more than 20 mins off the beat and track. It's well worth visiting. Please respect the boundaries and leave the area rubbish free. Enjoy a unique experience for free.

The rock layer is flat, with a gentle SW dip. It is therefore best to visit when the sunlight is at a low angle and the footprints' relief is nicely shaded and clearly visible, Many prints are too shallow to be seen during the high sunlight hours, so take my advice and go at the right time of the day. Over a thousand individual prints can be seen, and many tens of trackways criss-cross the entire slab. There are footprints and trackways everywhere you look. Absolutely mind-blowing.

Amazing place by the number and quality of the footprints! It's not 5 starts because there's no support information to guide the visitor.

There are a lot of footprints of bipedal carnosauruses. But there are no explanations, no infrastructure and a very bad road.

The footprints are amazing and everywhere! It's just a shame that the place seems almost like abandoned and I wonder if with any kind of preservation. I would love to have more information about the dinosaurs that walked trough there. There should be restricted areas and a path where people could walk through and along which there would be info about what you are looking at.

A quick little stopover. It has wooden walking ramps and places to pull off the road nearby. We saw it after some rainfall and the prints were nicely visible. (It's free to visit.)

Not very well maintained. So I would not come unless you are nearby.

Great for kids and adults. Although there is no information in other languages or depictions of how these dinosaurs could have looked. It would be incredible to have some augmented reality tour.

A free stop over where you can see some very clear dinosaur trails. There are even some on the outside of the roped area so you can see the size close up.

Magical feeling here- an old quarry in a giant and beautiful national park. Site now has rope paths & walkways, which is vital to protect these treasures. We’ll dove Portugal!!

This was a superb outing with our Dino mad kids. It really is quite magnificent. Just wish it was better looked after although to be fair it does look like they're putting in new board walks. Let's hope with that comes a way of preserving the prints for future generations.

Seeing the footprints of dinosaurs here makes it worth a visit. They are all over the site. There is nothing else there so be warned.
