On booking they said, that they have air conditioning, but there is no any. I was searching specifically for room with AC, and couldn’t sleep all night bc they lied and it was too hot

The hostel is strategic location. The room is clean. Bath , toilet are in separate area. I like their kitchen with utensils and also some leftover seasining, oil by previous travellers. You will have music every night.

:P if it's Thursday, Friday or Saturday and Sundays you won't sleep in there. The main club is right under the floor and it has a huge subwoofer. Luckily music stops at 3:00 😜🤦🤣

Awesome music....gets very busy but is the best place in vitro alto for listening live music. The band is really good and you can see enjoy a chill and at the same time cheerful atmosphere. Totally recommend!!

One of the worst stays ever. The room wasn't ready when we came, so we had to wait. All the cleaning was done in 10 minutes though, which you can easily see from how dirty the room was. Towels were covered in stains. Zero soundproofing and extremely noisy both on the streets and in the hostel. You basically won't be able to sleep until 4-5AM at all. If that's the plan anyway, then it might be an option for you, otherwise stay away. They've got a second pair of keys locked in a box in case you drink too much and lose the main key (it's a bar area, yeah), they have codes from these boxes all on one piece of paper, that they offer you to take a picture of. So you automatically know how to get keys to all rooms, and so do others.

Super unique place with live music, in a very intimate setting. We sadly just missed the music the evening we dropped by, but stuck around for a couple of drinks. Music ends at 2300 due to noise regulations. Staff were great and the environment was inviting. I’d definitely return, but would ensure I was there in time to check out the show, as it looked like a lot of fun.

stayed for only 1 night but it was pleasant. we stayed in a quad private room and they provided free towels which is AMAZING. I love that it's RIGHT at bairro alto so if you're looking to party on ur vacay this is deff the perfect hostel to stay. it will get loud of course!

A beautiful old building with both private and dorm rooms. Shared bathrooms were small but never busy, and same goes for the kitchen. They theoretically have a bar but it was closed the whole time we were there - sad! Otherwise - grateful for the staff recommendation of O Trevo for breakfasts, and happy to have stayed in a beautiful and bustling area of Lisboa.

My experience staying at this hostel was pretty bad and it´s a shame because the hostel is quite nice BUT the bedroom STINKS really bad! The smell was so hideous that gave me nausea every night, it was an odor like putrid sewer. When i asked for a solution they only suggested I should open the window... Every day I had to open the window and the door wide open so the air stream washed away the smell. The worst part was that when I closed the window at night (because of the noisy street) the odor came back, so either way i couldn´t sleep well because of the noise coming from the street or from the nauseating odor... I even bought a face mask thinking that would cover the odor but it didn´t help. The kitchen was nice and the bathroom was ok. The atencion was ok, the brunette girl was really nice.

Leider gibt es in der Bar auch keinen Livejazz mehr nach Corona. Sehr schade.... hoffentlich geht es irgendwann wieder weiter mit dem Jazz. Hote u Bar war ich nicht, kann nichts beurteilen

Absolutely incredible. Had the greatest time enjoying the life music. We went there twice and were entertained by band “The undercover time travelers” and “Groovelanders” - both extremely talented. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. One of the best experiences in Lisbon! Thank you!

Good band performance

Really good place for listening live music. I spend 2 evenings in this bar and the bands were amazing (people were dancing and giving tips). Definitely i ll go back here.

Really nice bar with every day life music! Really amazing sessions and lots of different people there. If you like good music you have to try out!

This place is unbelievably cool and you can listen to some cool cover bands too while sipping your portoghese wine or cocktail. The pub is a bit small and most of the people are standing but I guess it is part of the unique artistic atmosphere. Cocktails and wines prices are “tourists oriented”.

It is just a nightmare, the hostel is just above a nightclub. So... vibrations, noises... Really forget about it... It seems okay About the price but definitely not worth it. If you dont want to sleep that's perfect. Worst expérience ever,

Top!! Great atmosfere and the band had lots of energy. This is a bar that is using a very hold space, with plastics covering the seeling, and a mezzanine very peculiar. So many places, with design and fancy decorations but none had the vibes of this one!!

Really great band playing the night I visited. The staff were friendly, attentive and the place was buzzing with people from a variety of age groups .

Very rude staff, specially the older lady at the hostel. She is loud and obnoxious, makes you feel little.

Property did not refund me after I lost time managing rebooking a new stay after my flights were delayed. The management was not accommodating, understanding, nor was I given any more options for services or rooms.
