Visited on a Thursday evening with no reservation. Only 1 other couple there. Waitress at Monkey Mash helped us locate Red Frog. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in recommending drinks based on our likings. We ordered 4 drinks and really enjoyed them all. They are served/paired with an edible component to complete the experience. The drinks are complex, delicious, and unique. They also make a lot of the ingredients/mix-ins themselves and have a "laboratory" in the back where the creations are made. You can tell they are passionate about what they do, and we would definitely recommend this speakeasy style bar!

This bar was one of the highlights of my holiday! You had to ring the doorbell to be let in through a secret door which I thought gave a great touch to what the bar is. Was quite dark in the bar which made it feel like a very intimate setting. The cocktails were very strong but very good. I only needed 2 before I started to feel it in my head! The bartender was very friendly. He spoke to us a lot and made the experience very enjoyable. Overall one of the best bar experiences I’ve had

We loved the place, the ambiance and the uniquely crafted cocktails. I got a mocktail that was truly delicious. My husband got to try the American gangster (whiskey) and really enjoyed it as well. The server explained very well how to proceed to relish the drink to its full potential.

A cocktail experience rivaled by the clubs of Porto. There was nothing spectacular about this speakeasy, but the people watching is exceptional. The cocktails are either gimmicky or saccharine. The bartenders are both aloof and unhelpful. The cocktails are accurate to their descriptions, but lackluster or unhelpful in both presentation and taste. The most alluring aspect of the spot is its clandestine nature, but even that is overproduced and contrived. It may be better to stay above ground rather than descend.

Fun speakeasy with a nice combination of classic and modern decor. Service is excellent and the drinks were beautifully crafted. We asked for recommendations and the bartender steered us to drinks that fit our palates perfectly. Visited a second time and had an even better experience chatting with expert bartender Lara & enjoying more of the delightful menu.

An amazing experience! I have visited a lot of cocktail bars (as well more than a few of Top 50) but this was an extraordinary bar. The place decoration is really well thought and designed, you can see that details matter - furniture wise, the light in each table, how the bar is built. The cocktail menu contains classic with twists and the bar crafted cocktails. I highly recommend to get one of the bar created cocktails before ordering a classic! The cocktails are really special and has story and unique taste. Service was on spot! The staff make sure water is poured at all time. The knowledge lf the mixologists is amazing, every drink is well explained and you can ask anything regarding cocktails to suit the best drink for you. Also the staff was kind and friendly which upgraded the whole experience. Prices are a bit higher than other bars but considering the ingridients and the work lut through each drink i really think its worth every dollar spent. Make sure you reserve a place in advance!

I got 2 cocktails at Red Frog and both were absolute perfection - the American Gangster and the barrel aged Manhattan. The drinks were bursting with flavor. Only about a dozen people fit inside - which makes it intimate and special - and the decor is lovely. I highly recommend coming here when in Lisbon.

Hidden Speakeasy inside Monkey Mash, fantastic renditions of 1920’s cocktails with just the right amount of flare! We had a great time with our host - we had the American Gangster, Martinis, Daiquiri and few others - we were feeling Amazing 🤩 when we walked out of there!!!

I loved the Speakeasy experience, as they presented it from the start. Once we got in, they showcased what hospitality means. The bartenders are exactly what bartenders should be. Professional, kind, sociable. Shoutout to the team! The place itself is small, typical cocktail bar. The atmosphere, even tho the place is small, is very private and dark. The drinks were very good. Complex cocktails, subtle notes, won’t find many sours so you must be up to what cocktails mean. Definitely deserves that spot in World’s Top 50 bars.

What an amazing place! Due to construction and other impediments, we were running late for our reservation. They kindly held our table. The evening was full of great drink recommendations, laughs and great times. The staff were wonderful! Friendly! Knowledgeable and engaged. What a great time. The Red Frog is an elite Speakeasy and a hidden gem , which is a must visit for anyone in Lisbon who loves cocktails. The staff are so friendly and Ricardo the manager looked after us so well. The only problem is choosing a cocktail from the masterfully created selection. I personally loved the Alfarrabista and the American Gangster. But I have to return to indulge in some more of these incredible libations. I would suggest to try and book early as they get full up very quickly.

Red Frog is a very cool bar with amazing drinks, but extremely hard to find. In order for you to find it you actually need to go to Monkey Mash bar and from there ask to get into the Red Frog. We visited Monkey Mash and had a few drinks there we asked about Red Frog and they took us there. Its a very small speakeasy bar. Very nice 1920’s style. The drinks are very good. Totally worth visiting.

We come to this speakeasy everytime we visit Lisbon. It's a secret hidden bar with no board displaying its name. They changed to a new location and it is now in the same building as the Mokey bar. There was a lady waiting outside the door of the main building and she let us in. Red Frog is one level below the ground level. The place was very cozy and nice. The drinks were exceptional and it's a must visit place when you are in Lisbon. The mixologist made a drink that was not on the menu based on our request. All the drinks we tried were very good but our favorite was the American Gangster. The service was great and our glasses were filled with water without having to ask for it.

Probably the best bar we have ever tried! The combinations of ingredients are just so not obvious and insane, but the taste is just beautiful! Amazing presentation, amazing taste, amazing service! I highly recommend visiting)

This may be one of the best mixology experiences that I have ever had. Not only were the drinks excellent, they were crafted like nothing you will ever try anywhere else. I mean it. Distilled chocolate? Check. Tongue-twisting flowers? Check. Home-made wine? Check. Beyond the unparalleled drinks, the staff were excellent. Extremely knowledgeable about the drinks, and ready to explain every single aspect of it to ensure you make the right decision. Because let me tell you, it’s hard to choose from the large selection of magical concoctions they have there. The atmosphere is great too. Your low-lit speakeasy vibes matched with comfortable seating and good decor. Highly recommended.

I’m a huge cocktail person, and I have a sommelier certification, and my partner is a cocktail bartender, and I travel constantly for work, so putting all that together I have tried amazing cocktail bars all over the world. Red Frog was recommended to me by a top bartender in Sāo Paulo on a recent trip, and that’s how I ended up here. I think these are my favorite cocktails I have ever had, anywhere in the world. They were super creative, but also well balanced, distinctive tasting, and delicious, not just a pile of hipster ingredients, as so often happens. The presentation was gorgeous and not pointlessly over-fussy. They pay attention to texture and temperature as well as flavor, and the interplay between all three of those dimensions. The service was friendly and flawless. I really was blown away. The atmosphere is a bit visually bland but I really appreciated that they keep it from being overcrowded and one could have a normal conversation without shouting or jostling, and I was very comfortable. Not cheap, but I’ve paid double this price for high-end cocktails in more expensive cities that were not as good as these. Extra shout out to the umami sazerac, maybe the best cocktail I’ve ever had, though everything was amazing.

I had a fantastic experience at this bar! The Apple & Plum and Bubbles & Trouble cocktails were perfectly balanced and delicious. The ambiance is moody, and the staff was very attentive. If you can make it, try to get a reservation ahead of time!

Went there with a friend and we had no booking, they were fast finding us seats regardless and introducing us the menu. The menu is long and appeals to all sorts of palate, from sweet to salty to bitter. The staff were absolutely lovely and always ready to help.

Such a cool spot. As a big fan of speakeasies this is one of the top. Inventive cocktails. Great space. Great entrance. A must stop.

You have to head to Monkey Mash and press the buzzer. Red Frog is hidden. Red Frog is a small and cozy space. It's a quieter / more intimate space than Monkey Mash. The drinks aren't cheap, but the people here will make you a drink based on whatever flavours you're looking for. The best part of this space is the service that Diogo and João offer. I'm grateful I found this space.

This is my first year visiting the top 50 bars and unfortunately Red Frog did not live up to the hype all around. The cocktails were admittedly great but the atmosphere was lacking character. My party was told to “lower our laughter volume” which I was honestly speechless after the interaction and immediately asked for my check. In the United States, laughter, cocktails, and hospitality all go hand in hand but it didn’t seem to be the case at Red Frog. Great maybe for couples looking for a quiet night but definitely not the hospitality bar I thought it would be reaching top 50 - Hard skip for my hospitality friends.

Loved the concept of a secret bar. Drinks are fantastic, service is exceptional and a speakeasy atmosphere was great. Definitely should be on your list of bars to grab a drink in Lisbon.

Just wow, well deserved reputation. Cocktail game absolutely on point, menu is creative, innovative and offers a large selection of drinks for everyone! Perfect place for a date. Staff was really helpful and gave us good suggestions. Price point is not too bad, more expensive compared to the average drinks in Lisbon, but this is way above that, for this quality I would say Is actually cheap! Again, AMAZING.

It's a good place to taste interesting and creative cocktail, and the bartender is really nice, I even took a photo with her.

If you are into cocktails…. Let me change that, if you are into creative cocktails and wouldn’t mind spending few extra € this is a place to go to, I recommend making a reservation. It’s a beautiful setup. Service is amazing, my mixologist has so much passion that you can tell by the way he explained every details of flavour profile and pairing recommendations. If you don’t see anything you like on the menu, which is nearly impossible, you can tell the mixologist if you like Gin, Rum, Tequila, Vodka, citrus, sweet, savoury and they will come up with something for you. I do recommend giving the menu a chance as they work hard creating it. Love the drinks, atmosphere is cozy and friendly. They do serve food here more like small bites, I can’t rate this place for food as I did not have any. I was focused on cocktails over food (I had dinner right before I come to red frog).

What a hidden gem and a must visit if you are in Lisbon! Cozy and intimate setting and the drinks were incredible. I love that their menu has ice breakers, we really enjoyed going through them at our table. Bubbles and Troubles was a hit...I didn't have a cocktail that I didn't like and I had a few 😆

Drinks are perfect. reminds me of this bar I had been in Zurich (Old Crow). You enter from Monkey Mash, there is no Red Frog sign in sight. Later the host will walk you to a wall, which is the door to the bar. The space feels a little tight. The drink I had is Red Poison with strawberry skin - just perfect!

Far from top50 award they once received. Bad: - no bar seating (what kind of bar is it? More like lobby); - they serve local tap water, which has distinct smell / flavor (for cocktail price you could serve decent water). - price/quality is bad, our drinks were 14-17 Eur each. Good: - Service was really good.

Really glad to had the opportunity to try out this bar. The atmosphere is is great. The cocktails are amazing. The staff around the counter are really professional, helpful and polite. I suggest the old fashion from the house.

So much fun! Can definitely recommend making a reservation but we were SO grateful to them for squeezing us in. We had one drink at Monkey Mash and one at Red Frog. Both places were amazing and the service was brilliant. Definitely a fun night out in Lisbon and would recommend to anyone wanting to have an amazing cocktail or two in an amazing spot.

On itself, this establishment and certainly the staff (Joao & Lara) deserve FIVE stars. If it weren't for my visit to Nightjar in London, Red Frog would've gotten it. But the ambience, the cocktails, and most of all the service is really awesome. Best Speakeasy in Lisbon and a must visit when you're there

This being a best bars in the world entry, I had high expectations going in. A mixed offering broke down as follows on a rainy night in December 2019: Beautiful space. Fast reception. Creative and well executed menu. Despite having bar seating, it was reserved for the wait staff on this particular evening, meaning customers couldn't consult with with bartenders and the waiters were not caring for customers. Worth a visit with a small crew.

LOVE this bar. It's so cool. They nail their aesthetic and the staff all wears the most stunning red, which pairs well with the dark speakeasy's more sensual and underground atmosphere. Lots of presentation for the drinks. Delightful for discovering new things. Expect to pay at least 11€ per drink. Honestly though it's worth it if only for a nice date.

A very good place to enjoy well presented and executed cocktails, not many, if any of the type in Lisbon. Creative and unique experience with serious and ho eat service, laid back and stylish. Tried few cocktails and left very happy. The wait at the door can be annoying on a weekend.

Very cool bar with unique and creative cocktails. Location: It identifies as a speakeasy but it’s not very difficult to find. Look for the red frog on the wall and the buzzer that reads “ring for cocktails”. Price: Pretty expensive for a drink but they are very creative and elaborate.

Very cool venue with a very nice “bouncer”. The music was not too loud and the drinks were great. We also loved the cake for dessert. Great spot for an after dinner drink.

Had an incredible experience with Lara and Diogo. Lara is a phenomenal bartender and the first to create a truly bespoke, interesting and of-my-taste cocktail when I asked for a surprise. Diogo was fantastic company as I visited alone. Will absolutely recommend.

You need to book weeks in advance to have a drink here, even though this is supposedly a secret bar and a "speakeasy". This kinda ruins the whole vibe. Also pretty sure the red frog which is meant to be above the "press for cocktails" button has disappeared so you had to look for Monkey Mash which is really an entirely different bar. All a bit of a mess.

A real speak easy bar!! The bar is beside another bar and it's really difficult to spot it. It is really small bar, there are just few seats so you have to make a reservation. The cocktail list has many options for house and classic cocktails. Everyone of the staff were helpful and professional.

First of all, you need to reserve well in advance, otherwise you need to get on the wait list asap. On the day you might be lucky enough to wait in Monkey Mash while sipping a lovely cocktail or two and then they let you enter. I won't give away the location of this place, but all cocktails are €14 or more. They are good quality and arrive with a sense of theatre.

It depends. If you like and understand the mixology scene it might be for you. They have rules of behavior and fancy cocktails. Speakeasy style bars were never to my liking so take everything with a grain of salt. After the pandemic it is now located in a closet next to Monkey Mash. Very little air conditioning if any with no windows. 2/5 cocktails were liked. Again the presentation is good however taste wasn’t too good according to our group. No parking around or very little. Best to get a reservation if you want to try it out.

Amazing speakeasy bar with top unique drinks and great chat from bartenders (Lara and Diogo). They have their own lab in the bar where they experiment to create new drinks. One of my favourites.

Smack. Perfect cocktails. It is a place you need a reservation at, or hang out at the other bar in the building until there is an open spot (which is rare). These fellas know what they're up to, and whatever you get will be amazing. As always, stay with the bars specialities and you'll be more than happy.

This speakeasy lives up to its reputation! It has a cozy and intimate atmosphere and the staff is very professional and friendly. I want to give a special recognition to Leo who made our experience very special. He was kind and attentive to our needs. I’ll be back for future visits in Lisbon.

After visiting so many high end cocktail spots over the world, i have to say that Red Frog is by far the best one! I not only enjoy amazing discoveries on the cocktail world, but i also feel 100% at home! The team is amazing and friendly and the atmosphere couldn't be better, a true speak easy vibe!
