Arrived at 1845hrs with a couple of tables occupied. Smells great when walked in. The service is great ... With good English speaking assistance from the waiting staff. Salmon is stacked atop sweet potato, with a home made sauce which compliments the meat very well. And the white wine tops it off nicely. The food is really good. Will revisit.

The food was very good (we had fish-based dishes), albeit with an excessive use of onion and garlic. The tuna tower (in the picture) is the speciality of the place, and while it's very good, the coriander sauce covers the tuna and makes it taste kind of like meat. The sweet potatoes with ricotta and salmon are a 10/10, very much recommend getting that. Now to the wine. We asked for white sangria and it was made for us on the spot. It had a little amount of fruit and it was obviously tasteless because they didn't let it sit. The Porto wine we got suggested for to be paired with the desserts was very good but very expensive, so watch out for that. The 2 star rating is 2.5 really, and it is because of the service (not at the level of the food, I got Porto wine spilled on myself) and the TheFork discount, which is only applied to the food. While it is specified on the app, it's very much unclear (its a small text section that you need to click to open). Edit: forgot to add the music choice was very questionable

We ended up eating dinner here twice during our stay in Lisbon because we were so impressed after the first time we went. The owner/waiter was fantastic and made it feel like more of a dining/food experience rather than just a standard dinner at a regular tapas/wine bar. They have a very reasonably priced wine pairing option which we took on both occasions (9€ for 3 glasses or 12.5€ for 4 from memory). Once you order which dishes you would like, the waiter suggests the wines to pair with each and sometimes will bring around a couple to taste with each dish to see which we like the most. This was honestly one of the best dining experiences I have ever done. The setting was rather casual and the waiter was able to make suggestions to twist some of the menu items to be more to our liking which we really enjoyed. Go here with an open mind and feel free to ask the waiter for suggeations either for food or drinks - you won't be disappointed. The staff were also all very friendly and happy to have a chat, we never felt rushed which is a contrast to many other restaurants who don't always make time to talk to their customers. We would have come for a 3rd time if we were staying for longer!

Great restaurant with attentive service and fair prices. The fondue (you cook your own food) experience was awesome. About the food everything was great, the portions are big enough for 2 people. Cocktails are from next door bar (which is an awesome bar). The tiramisu was to die for (this is a must… if your stomach is full, remember desserts go to the heart). Credit card accepted.

Finally a place deserving of more than 4 stars, it seems that Lisbon is rife with places with high stars and terrible food. The service was nice, we were seated quickly and our waitress knew English which was very much appreciated. The menu is also helpful for English speakers, there are English translations throughout and it is divided into sections for veg, fish and meat dishes. We had to ask about the lunch special as they did not tell us automatically despite there being a sign about it outside. The salmon and tuna ceviche are very flavourful and were shared with everyone on our table which worked well. 2 people ordered the lunch special (1 veg option - lasagne and 1 fish option - cod) but this may be subject to change. The lasagne portion was reasonable, the sauce was rich and the cheese was gooey and harmonious with the dish. The cod was also delicious, it was served on a hot plate above a bed of sweet potato slices and slowly cooks as you eat. The veg puree was also tasty and did well to not mask the flavour of the cod. The salmon was served in a similar way however it had direct contact with the hot plate meaning only the first bite was perfectly cooked and became more and more overcooked over the course of the meal. The atmosphere was nice, there were wine bottles all over and I would recommend heading here in the evening for drinks as they have clearly put in effort to curate a wine tasting and a cocktail menu (happy hour too!) The only issue was how warm it was inside, we asked to move the fan near our table and they were happy to oblige. I would recommend this place to others, just note that their booking system seems...lax? We made a booking for that evening for a different group of people and the restaurant mistook the time as 20:00 instead of 20:30 so when the party arrived expecting a table they were told there was no space. This last incident and the cooking of the salmon are why I have not awarded 5 stars. Pics: 1. cod dish, 2. bruschetta, 3. salmon, 4. fish tacos 5. lunch special we tried

The food is good and you can share it with your freinds. They make their own wine and olive oil which is very good. (You can buy it there). Good price to quality ratio, great place to eat small and big quantities as all the dishes are reasonably sized so you can order as many as you need!

Our final night in Lisbon we decided to eat somewhere different and after a bit of research found Eating Bear. The restaurant was quite busy but we were able to get a table and make our choices. The menu had some interesting options and the choices were certainly different. Our food arrived in several waves, giving us a chance to finish one tapas before starting the next. From memory we had a figs and cheese dish first, followed by tuna salsa tacos and then two fantastic desserts - ultimate chocolate brownie and panna cotta. The food was all beautifully presented and tasted delicious. What made the evening a real experience (a much overused word) was the engagement with both the waiting staff and the chef. We had a great chat with the head chef, from Nepal, and it really elevated the evening. Prices were excellent for the food and alcohol that we had and it is definitely somewhere I'd recommend for a special dining destination.

Last Saturday and Sunday we visited Eating Bear. On both occasions we had a fantastic evening. The staff did an excellent job in providing us twice an evening to remember. Fantastic food, Salmon with avocado, Tuna tartar, Apple crumble are some of the fantastic dishes they serve. And they do a great job in providing a very nice wine assortment to match the various plates. So if you are in Lisbon don't miss out and take a trip to Eating Bear.

Not the best food, but the best sales pitch. The owner pitched us hard outside on his delicious food and wine. The "famous" tuna tower arrived with 2 pieces of overcooked tuna, layered on some warm sweet potatoes, some cold sweet potatoes, and some uncooked sweet potatoes, although well seasoned overall. The wine is all made by the owner and the red, at least, was nothing special. Glad we decided to grab something small and go elsewhere afterwards. Friendly servers and fast service. Warning: tourists abound. Have opinions; Will Share.

I was so satisfied with foods here. The staffs welcomed me so warmly, friendly, good at English and was patient to introduce foods for me. Finally I selected octopus salad and tuna with sweet potato. Perfect concept and the price was affordable too.

Lisbon is a beautiful city with lots of walking up the street so you will eventually feel tired and hungry. Eating Bear is a great place to soothe that hunger feeling—originally a wine place but you can also grab a beer and enjoy the amazing tapas choices they offer. The Figs and Cheese tastes like a dream. We tried also their selection of Portuguese Sausages, which includes a blood pudding sausage. For 2 people: If you add a little Roasted Potato next to this, you’ll definitely be full. Everything is prepared fresh here so do have some patience to get your food but it’s really worth it. An average dish is between 10-15 Euros and they have a special DIY barbecue where you can frill your beef on the table. Costs around 33 Euros for 2 people.

I have the best salmon experience ever here. Also, the wines were extremely good: three types of fine portos were served as degustation. The service was fine, fast and kind, the place has a friendly ambience. I recommend this place for every tourist.

I had an absolutely delightful experience at this restaurant! The saumon tartare and saumon tower were the stars of the show. Both dishes were bursting with flavor and incredibly fresh. The saumon tower, their specialty, was a true masterpiece, beautifully presented and satisfying. The staff was friendly and attentive. I can't wait to return and savor more of their delectable dishes. Highly recommended!

Had an amazing lunch at Eating Bear. The service was top notch as well. We both ordered wine flights and got to taste two options before selecting which we like better for the glass. The food was impeccable and the fish was cooked perfectly and juicy. We ordered the salmon and cod at the recommendation from our server. Both amazing. Thank you Eating Bear for an amazing meal!

Best meal we had in Lisbon! My partner loved his " Octopus Punch" and I enjoyed the palm hearts (vegetarian). Lovely desserts as well, and don't miss their house wine cocktails.

Wow! This surprising find was delightful! The service was kind and uplifting, making it an enjoyable experience. The cocktail was creative and perfect. But the food! Oh my WOW! Incredibly delicious tuna ceviche was layered with interesting spices, capers, and I got some delicious whole grain bread to put it on. Amazing! And while it was not cheap, I needn’t have worried that it would not be enough for a dinner, as I could not eat it all and took a quarter of it home with me (and ordered extra of that incredible bread to go). I would return for any of these reasons alone, but all together, it is now a top place in my Lisbon book.

We ordered a few things and nothing was very good. We ordered a veal hot plate for 2 complete and everything that came with was over cooked. The sausage, the shrimp, etc. They total forgot our tuna tower until we asked them. We asked for water three times before they brought it. What made it worse is that there is no fan or AC inside the restaurant and it was so hot

Me and my partner had just arrived in Lisbon and needed somewhere to eat and had seen the reviews they did not lie. The waiter was amazing and his English was great he recommended we try 3 dishes, and we both did the 3 wine taster for an unbelievable price €9 for 3 extra large servings. Was 100% a great visit and a must go to when in Lisbon.

The best I've eaten in a long time (and I eat a lot ;) ) We had the seafood tacos and they were out of this world 🤤🤤🤤 creamy, spicy tuna tartare... I had a foodgasm. The rosemary steak with the variations of smoked sausages completed the perfect dinner. The staff was also super friendly, the dinner was worth every cent. Thank you Eating Bear.

I had a wine pairing which was inexpensive at nine euro for three glasses of very good wine. Also enjoyed the arugula salad and an amazing piece of vegetable lasagna that was well crafted and delicious. The place is modern cleaners would love to enjoy more of their food.

We spent one week in Lisboa and around and this one was the winner ! How delicious was the food !! Wine pairing was well prepared and adjusted to food (French speaking) and the Peruvian accompanying me liked the Ceviche. Definitely a must-go while visiting Lisboa !!

Delicious, fresh, great service and good value. Only caveat is that, as a single guest, I was recommended two plates and the portions are HUGE. It was far too much for me but great if you're sharing

If you've ever wanted to dine at a Michelin restaurant before it's discovered, this is it. Service is top-rate. The dishes are inventive twists on beloved classics, like the bruschetta with tomato and mozzarella, yes, but also oranges dipped in sesame seeds. That may sound fancy for fanciness' sake, but the nutty taste of the seeds (without the firm crunch of actual nuts) compliments the moist tomatoes. The orange squeeze gives a refresh to the normally plain dish.

Wow what an amazing restaurant. Great food and excellent wine. The iron plate tuna was so juicy and flavorful, best tuna I’ve ever had in my life!

Would not recommend this restaurant at all. The first waiter clearly treated us like trash possibly because we were black/ or because we had a voucher to eat there. There was nothing special about the food really and I would never recommend anyone going here whatsoever!! Avoid at all costs

The food is delicious and the staff is very helpful and pleasant. You can tell that the food has a lot of love and detail pit into it, from the smallest details like small drops od colour, or a vinegrette heart in the olive oil. Honestly, it was an amazing place to go to to eat high-quality, fancy food that does not make the wallet cry.

The food here was really good. The service was not quite on point but maybe they were having an off night. Highly recommend the salmon & avocado tartare and the aged prosciutto platter (I forget the name). The wine was good but the wine cocktails were not a hit with my partner.

The cod and beef Fondue was absolutely delicious. Nima explained the menu well and made the best recommendations. She was lovely and personalized our meal. We are very impressed and recommend it truly.

Food was good. But I had to wait half an hour for some tacos. While waiting their asking you if you want something in between to kill waiting time. But 14€ are definitely overpriced for 3 tacos.

Everything we had here was phenomenal. Highly recommend asking for their recommendations because wow! Everything was amazing! From the service to the food and wine, it was unreal. Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in Lisbon!!!

I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant and had a very special experience!! The food was amazing and we also had the wine pairings! The owner of the restaurant made sure we were very happy with everything, told us a bit about the wines (the restaurant has its own wine), and I even had a birthday cake!! It was excellent from start to finish! Really recommend this place to everyone

Great variety of tapas. Liked the tomato/cheese dish. Loved the codfish with sweet potato. Tacos came highly recommended but were underwhelming … too much Mayo and smaller pieces of fish than they used to serve. Lava cake was just ok.

What a great place, especially with such friendly staff and great food! We went there for lunch and had the menu of the day, 3 courses and wine for only 10€!
