A group of friends have had this on our radar for quite some time and we finally spent a Friday AND Saturday evening here. Why didn’t we go sooner during our regular visits to Lisbon!! The owner, Jair, is absolutely amazing: an accomplished and notable musician well respected in the global Lusophone/African music community. His relationship with other musical artists means they may make impromptu, guest appearances which is an unexpected and surprising treat. Jair is also a welcoming host who treats you like you are his personal guest and family member. Between the fantastic food and live music you have up to get up and dance between bites and sips!!! His staff is great and special thanks to Carla who is such thoughtful and dear person. Food: delicious!!! We had appetizers such as a fish pasteis and entrees such as chicken and pineapple curry, fresh prawns in a curry sauce, fresh fish with this tasty sauce, etc. served with rice and you order other side dishes. Drinks: besides the traditional Vinho Verde our group also loved the mixed drinks from gin and tonic to my favorite which is maracujá (passionfruit) caipirinha Would I return: Absolutely!!! And I have recommended DJairsound who will be visiting Lisbon over the coming months.

Food with great taste. I chose curry prawns and I couldn't have made a better choice. Very tasty. The atmosphere of the space is super welcoming and relaxing with super special music... I wasn't lucky enough to find live music because today it was very rainy and there were hardly any customers but the playlist was special. (Cesaria Evora). My friends' dish was also delicious. I will definitely return to this special space. Ps: the food was very quick 👏🏿

Typical African restaurant with live music. Inviting for those who appreciate African music, particularly Cape Verdean. It's not the best place to hang out because with live music it's not worth talking over. The only negative thing (apart from the parking which is almost non-existent) that I have to point out are the tables and chairs which are not very comfortable and do not look like they belong in a restaurant/bar but rather more suitable for a cafe. Extremely friendly staff.
