Very nice seafood! Super fresh and the good selection of seafood! Staffs are not really talkative but super efficient on serving. Visited twice during 5 days visit of Lisbon. Must order the giant ruby prawns, giant tiger prawns and razor clams!! Only 12 euro for plate of ham which it was quite a lot for 2 and perfect to share for 4.

Bustling seafood place full of locals and tourists who probably saw it on Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. I’d advise booking by email in advance to avoid the long queue. It took us a bit of time to work out the menu and how much to order but you can always order more. Everything was fresh and delicious! Best to go with a group so you can try a lot. We liked it all, especially liked the grilled tiger prawns :)

Return here on each visit in Lisbon. Nowadays, upstairs is for reservations (€25 pp no refund) and ground floor for walk-ins. Spider crab cream was a bit on the salty side, our neighbours had the same experience but for the rest all good. In case you opt for drinks: white wine, half bottle is too dry (no choice unfortunately) and cidra was sweet and not sour type

Not cheap, but food quality is great. Servers were highly skilled in getting customers seated, ordering food and cutting the scarlet shrimps if ordered. The only problem is there are too many people coming to eat so don’t expect a fine dining experience.

We went as a walk-in around lunch time. It seemed busy, but we were in luck and were seated almost immediately. We were sat down at our table and it was certainly loud with lots of people bunched up together enjoying the food. After a short inspection of the menu, we ordered some bread, cheese, shrimp in butter sauce as well as some tiger prawns. The food doesn’t take too long to arrive despite the busy nature of the restaurant. The staff are clearly very busy but also attentive and friendly. The dishes were unexpectedly amazing. Such simplicity in the way the food is prepared yet full of flavour and super tasty. The quality of the shrimp and tiger prawns used is great. The combination of the bread and cheese dipped in the butter sauce with the shrimp was particularly beautiful. I strongly recommend for any seafood lovers to head down to this place and enjoy a fantastic meal.

I cannot describe how great this place was. One of the best seafood in my life. Superb service and really fast food as well. Need to try cold crab, tiger shrimp and goose barnacles. Desserts cannot miss here is mango and lemon sorbet with vodka.

Super little spot for excellent seafood. We had the garlic clams and prawns with urchins to start. They were all amazing. They have gluten free bread and beers available. I would highly recommend this restaurant! The bread is very buttered so a lemon sorbet is a must after the meal

Overrun with tourist, yes. Hangout for locals, likely not. Cheapest seafood in Lisbon, nee. I was skeptical. But, this place has become popular for a reason—the seafood was killer! Everything we ordered was super delicious. Our server was super lovely and friendly. We came on a Saturday night with no reservation. Wait was 30 min. Left happy and didn’t regret our decision to come.

Best seafood I’ve had in Europe! Don’t miss out on the edible crab 🦀, garlic shrimp, scarlet shrimp 🦐, and giant tiger prawns. May not fit the theme - but also order the steak sandwich. You won’t regret it. “Dessert” was lemon sorbet with a shot of vodka, a refreshing way to end the meal. 👍🏼 Line was crazy long, but definitely worth the wait. If you can, make reservations very much in advance. If you have a long wait time, there’s a bar on the left side of the building that serves beers and wines as you wait. We hardly go to the same restaurant more than once during a trip. We were in Lisbon for a long weekend and we went twice! Another great Bourdain rec, and will be back.

If you like sea food this is the place to go. They do not serve fish just crustaceans and they are top quality. The vibe is laid back and convivial and our waiter was super efficient and funny which made the experience even more enjoyable. Even our guests who come from one of Italy's areas with fresh fish agreed that the quality was very high. Been a few times to Ramiro already and it never fails to deliver!!! Word of warning do book in advance otherwise the queue is huge.

Maybe expected much. Very big size of restaurants with long history. But I felt it was too touristic place with many staffs who tried to sell more food and wines. It was good that we could try many different types of seafood with reasonable price, but not impressed quality. Generally okay.

Excellent shellfish as usual. Full of history and tradition this place doesn't let you down if you are willing to pay their prices. An eternal and super friendly staff. Great decoration. Best seafood!

Saw this place recommended on ‘Somebody Feed Phil’ and several food blogs. Can confirm it is worth the hype! This was one of the most enjoyable meals I have ever eaten! We ordered clams in garlic, barnacles (bizarre-looking but tasty) and a giant tiger prawn between two. Oh yes, and oysters. Everything was delicious but the highlight was the prawn, meaty, flavoursome and huge. The atmosphere is bustling. The staff are efficient, attentive and friendly, and the service is super quick. It feels like an absolute institution. A well-oiled machine with a team of people who love what they do. Probably best to reserve to guarantee a place, but we chanced it at 3pm on a Friday and were seated straight away.

Grilled shellfish was excellent. Service was hurried but attentive. Bread gets plopped down for €3.50. Lots to choose from...shrimp, crab, clams and lobster. Ice cold beer. Well organized and clean. Washrooms were well attended to. Would return.

Great fresh seafood! Yes, it's not cheap, there are more tourists than locals but worth the visit cause the food is good. My first time trying gooseneck barnacles and I think it was my favourite out of the three seafood dishes (be careful when eating as juices can squirt out). It was a good lunch paired with wine and ending it with a lemon sorbet with vodka dessert (which was also my favourite). I went in alone and the staff were so kind to give me suggestions, how much to order (calculating the price for me without pressuring me to order it), and showed me how to eat the barnacles. Attentive and patient despite how busy it was.

Just go, make a reservation and go, they'll deduct the deposit from your bill. Get everything, it's all good but the Giant Tiger Prawns are a particular delicacy, the one absolute can't miss. We ordered almost everything at once and it started coming quickly and kept coming at a good pace. Attentive staff happy to help you with anything you need or want to add to your order. They even changed our table cover between plates lol. Highest possible recommendation.

Fine dinning of shellfish minus the suite and tie. Food is fingers licking good. If you are hungry, then be willing to wait if you don’t have reservations. Long wait, but you can have appetizers and drinks while waiting. Waiter was super helpful and nice. The shellfish was nicely cooked and wonderful bread to soak up all the goodness of the shellfish.

If you enjoy eating shellfish, this restaurant is for you. It’s very popular, so unless you have a reservation, make sure you arrive before 7pm. My favourite dish was the tiger prawn. Meaty, succulent, and tasty. Great service too.

Visited July 23, 2023 It was fairly easy to get a seat around 6:30pm. The staff were extremely friendly. The food here is amazing, especially the barnacles and giant tiger prawns. They have so much staff that the food comes super fast. Only thing I would not recommend is the spider crab, was to difficult to open and eat. Overall amazing restaurant with good prices!

Insanely good!! Shellfish paradise! Ramiro doesn’t have meat, not even fish! They only sell shellfish but they’re just all fantastic! Love the razor clams and the prawns. Service is great, they’re simply busy but the crew is friendly! We went 12pm for lunch so basically no queue but just waiting for them to open. Will definitely come again next time when we are in Lisbon

Deliciously, fresh seafood, and beautiful ambience! The barnacles were extremely fresh and tasted like they had just come off of the rocks in the Atlantic ocean. The tiger prawn was absolutely decadent and accompanied very well with the butter sauce at the bottom of the plate. The clams and garlic were superb. The shrimp and garlic butter were my absolute favorite of the evening.

Ramiro was bustling and crowded when we visited, but that’s a testament to its popularity, and we loved the vibrant atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and went the extra mile to help us navigate the sometimes tricky task of eating crab - their guidance was appreciated and added a fun twist to our meal. Speaking of the meal, the food at Ramiro was simply amazing! Not only was it delicious, but the service was lightning fast, ensuring we didn’t have to wait long to savor the incredible seafood dishes. We wholeheartedly recommend Ramiro to anyone craving exceptional seafood and a lively dining experience. It’s a must-visit!

Great for seafood lover. Crustacean heaven. Grilled to perfection and not over cooked. Will be back. The barnacles are tasty as is the spider crab. The crab juice are a little salty but the crab meat is so sweet and tasty. Tiger prawns are good too.

It was probably the best seafood experience I have ever had. They have interesting items that are all prepared to the perfection. We went twice and sitting on the main floor is definitely the best. So go early for that. The servers are very efficient. They bring you a new fork at the sound of you dropping yours on the floor by accident, and that's literally what happened to the table next to us. The guy had not even realized that he had dropped his fork that the server was at his table with a new fork.

We enjoyed the food. All seafood was perfectly cooked. The only thing is that we didn't know the restaurant only served seafood and bread! nothing else. We would have loved a salad or some starter options. This is probably my fault for not checking before. They did offer ice cream to us as a dessert, which was very much appreciated. This restaurant was recommended to me by a Portuguese friend.

Disclaimer: I waited an hour, the place is hectic and service is robotic. However, that's the character of this place. It's a well oiled machine service, mostly, top quality seafood to hungry customers. The food is great with lots of butter and salt - say goodbye to the diet for a while! The waiting area staff are rude and they only serve waiting customers Heineken beer in a supposedly Cervejaria 😬

The sea food here is very fresh and super delicious. We ordered the shrimp with garlic, tiger prawns and open crab with meat. The crab dish was cold and the other two were hot and buttery. The prawns in the garlic were a bit sweet (that comes from fresh prawns) and salty with garlic pieces. It's a must try dish here. They give quite a lot of bread on the side. We made a reservation one month ahead to make sure we have a spot. There were a line a people standing both for the restaurant that is downstairs and for the one that is upstairs. This is a must go place in Lisbon if you love sea food.

Super fresh, live and very good selection of local varieties that you don’t typically get so fresh in the southern hemisphere, it’s not super expensive not cheap, but for a good feed it was a good deal in my opinion. Service is great and typical of the restaurants we visited. The downside is it’s way too popular and the wait is insane. There’s booking online available but we didn’t use that so I’m not sure if you really get a table for the time you booked. As everyone that eats here surely takes there time and is in no rush to leave. Our ticket was close to 3 hour wait…..

The ingredients are fresh, and the location is decent, although not exactly in the city center. The taste is good, although the prices are a bit high, they are still acceptable. The dining environment is crowded and noisy. We went there for lunch at 12 o'clock and waited for about 20 minutes. The waiting area was their takeout storefront. When our number was called, we were led into the main dining hall. The restaurant is neither big nor small, but due to many tables, it feels crowded. I suppose this is a characteristic of Southern European restaurants, which is different from Asian countries' restaurants, and the dining experience is average. There are also tables in the basement of the restaurant, facing a water tank, with the adjacent room being the restroom. I don't think this should be a designated dining area.

I can see why everyone recommends this place. Just be warned that the queue is really long if you don't have a reservation, we waited in the room next door for 1h15 before getting a seat. Once seated we ordered crab, scarlet prawns, garlic prawns, garlic clams, beef sandwich and everything was great, especially garlic prawns and scarlet prawns. All of the seafood was fresh and tasted amazing. Service was very fast. A mu's ttry in Lisbon!

The food is overrated and overpriced. We started out with oysters, and we then ordered a crab followed by a lobster. The oysters were yummy. The crab was too much work for little meat. The lobster was chewy, and it too was a lot of work. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was casual but too noisy, especially if seated outside. It's also too touristy!

Loved this restaurant- the best we visited while in Lisbon! 🤤 The ambience, the food, the service- everything was perfect! Lots of seafood options. Everything was delicious. Reservations are helpful but they also take walk-in… though they have very regimented seating times. For lunch, first seating is 1pm for example, and they don’t seat you until that exact time. They will also bring a mountain of delicious buttered bread to your table, which you should absolutely have but it’s not free.

The space is huge and the food is really amazing. It’s pretty much seafood-only, but all freshly made, and great quality. We had a birthday lunch here with a group of friends and were all happy that we came. Prices are on the higher end, so not a casual lunch spot from our perspective, but I’m definitely coming back when friends/relatives from out of town visit.

We came here because we follow Mark Wiens. This place in Lisbon is the ultimate seafood destination. We tried to cover this on our Youtube Channel 'NaanAndLuchi Travels' video is called 'Cervejaria Ramiro..'. This place has some of the best tiger prawns to offer. Also the scarlett prawns were a highlight of this place. The first i liked a seafood not only because its exotic but it tastes so good. Even the butter smeared bread was so good. No doubt this is a legendary food outlet. They had made sure of temperature checks being done in these challenging times. Some real giant lobsters in the fish tank made it look like a no nonsense seafood place. The staff was amazing.

The food was fresh and taste amazing just like everyone said. Down side was that most of our orders ran out of stock :(. The menu could have been better explained with what choice of cooking to go with each dishes. Overall it was a good experience but given the price I have to take off the last star.

They literally let you pick the seafood you want to eat before cooking it! As you sit down they serve you super tasty buttered bread. Reservations are highly suggested, because the restaurant is very often full. We had spider crabs, delicious garlic shrimps, giant tiger prawns which were beyond exquisite and crawfish. The service was impeccable, very friendly and caring! Overall an outstanding experience.

Ramiro was easy to get to and normally full by 8/830pm. I had dinner by myself ordered one half bottle of green wine, garlic clams and a spider crab. My server was friendly, as soon as he took my order, the melted butter garlic bread arrived right away. The clam dish was delicious and very fresh. The crab came shortly after the first dish. My Uber driver whom pick me up back to my hostel told me Ramiro is probably top2 best seafood restaurant in town and priced reasonably. Definitely recommend!

We came for lunch. Service was good. Fresh and tasty seafood, especially with Champagne. Absolutely one of the best seafood restaurants!

The seafood is cooked simply and really is magnificent. The manager/owner? is a gentleman. They were full, we were late but they were kind and helpful and we got a table in the end. Service is professional and generally excellent. We are looking forward to going back soon (when life returns to normal).

Ramiro is a landmark seafood restaurant in Lisbon. Serves mainly shrimps, lobsters, crabs and oysters etc. Don’t expect to get any normal fish at Ramiro. No other items non seafood items on the menu. Be warned not to overeat the excellent bread which is served before the main entrées and then during the meal also. The restaurant is famous, so reservations are a must, but the ambiance is relaxed and even though there are lines of hungry customers outside, the restaurant won’t try to nudge you out when you are finished with your meal. Garlic prawns got my vote as the favourite.

(Translated by Google) I loved it! First, Ramiro should already be a landmark in Lisbon. The seafood is excellent, as is the service! If you can, be sure to visit! (Original) Adorei! Primeiro o Ramiro já deve valer como um marco em Lisboa. O marisco é excelente, tal como o serviço! Se puderem, não deixem de visitar!

Perfect place to try Barnacles (Perceves/ Pollicipes pollicipesh) in Lisbon, I think they have it all year long (even in winter)! Staffs are helpful especially English speaking

(Translated by Google) Of the few things that the pandemic has brought, Ramiro was with clients in an acceptable quantity without having to wait in endless lines. The best seafood in Lisbon. (Original) Das poucas coisas que a pandemia trouxe de bom, foi o Ramiro estar com clientes em quantidadade aceitável sem haver filas intermináveis. Do melhor que há em Lisboa em mariscos.

We had such an amazing meal here. Be prepared to get your hands dirty. Crab, oysters, prawns...all amazing. Not to mention the garlic butter shrimp. That garlic butter sauce was delicious. Perfect for dipping with the bread. Nothing but seafood, so I'd avoid if that's not your thing. You definitely want a reservation in advance.

This was the number one restaurant on my list when we visited Lisbon and it did not disappoint. I mean how can you beat a seafood restaurant where desert is the best steak sandwich you ever tried. By the time we left this has now been put on my favorite restaurants in the world list. The wait to get in seemed to take forever but one cool thing about waiting is that they have a beer venting machine. As you can see from our receipt we tried a little bit of everything and our bill was still less than 100 euro. The service here was excellent and they get your food out so fast considering how many customers they have coming in and out. Seafood will never be the same after visiting this restaurant. It will have you always missing Ramiro's and the day you get to go back.

Great fresh seafood! No wait time if you booked your table, otherwise you will be craving in a super long line. Super fast service after ordering. Their butter breads are very well combining with garlic shrimps. Edible crabs without peels is a cold dish, don't be surprised by that (with my ignorance, I didn't expect it... ). Giant tiger prawns (attached pictures) are awesome. Though some parts of the prawns had a lot of salt, you probably want to clear it otherwise it will be too salty.

Wow. Just wow. The seafood here is truly incredible, no wonder this is a Lisbon institution. We came back three times during our week long stay in Lisbon. João was our waiter each night, and he was lovely and so knowledgeable on all the dishes! Highly recommend the garlic clams and grilled tiger prawns (taste even better than lobster, although similar, and you get even more meat). Highly recommend! Go early though to avoid a long wait!

Been there, was ok, but never available and waiters at the entrance are more like disco bouncers.
