Best meal I had in Lisbon! Honestly every single dish is beautifully done, the balance of flavor and presentation is top notch. I especially enjoy the Asian elements Alma blend into Portuguese cuisine. Like all type of arts, food is all about exhibiting creativity with harmony and without boundaries. Kudos to the team. The wine paring is also very nice, I learned so much about Portuguese wines. This is not a complain but minor point they can improve. My friend went to the bathroom forgetting about her mask and was told harshly “put on your mask.” She’s a gentle Japanese lady and was a little taken aback by the attitude. May be it’s a communication issue, but would be better if the waitress can be a little gentle when reminding guest their etiquette. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. The food and wine is phenomenal, and would not hesitate to come back again!

My wife and I were lucky to get slotted in the last minute on our trip to Lisbon. We had the Coast To Coast Tasting Menu, and we are blown away with this unique dining experience. This 2 Michelin star restaurant is totally amazing. The food is out of this world, and the service is unparalleled. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. The door to this restaurant is locked, so you do have to buzz yourself in. However, the minute you walk in, you can feel that they have a rhythm. The food comes in a pace that is just perfect. You don't wait a minute too long, yet it gave you just enough time to digest and savor the dishes. The sommelier also gives very good wine recommendations that pair very well so the courses. You got to try it.

I was blown away by the tasting menu. The whole experience is amazing. Love my Sommelier, the bottle he recommended is amazing. Love all the chefs. Love whole team, actually watching them working is quite enjoyable, so harmonic. Don't be afraid to call them and see if it's possible to squeeze you in while you are in Lisbon, we've been lucky to get one table one.

We were very excited to try Alma, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we entered, the service was top notch. The staff were friendly and accommodating and were sure to tell us what we could and could not eat based on our dietary restrictions. We went with the seafood tasting menu and were blown away. All the food was light and refreshing, and I honestly lost track of the number of courses we had. Finally, at the end, they surprised us with a chocolate dessert custom made for us with not gelatin. Overall, yes, it is pricey, but you can tell why they have 2 Michelin stars. A great meal with great service.

When you go to a Two Michelin Starred restaurant it is hard to go in without any expectations. I went in trying to be as neutral as possible. With the exceptions of the kind service by Sommeliers Pedro and Filipe, also with the snacks that came as a part of the bread service our experience was really disappointing. Forgetting Michelin status it was subpar based on regular standards. We ordered all mains and appetizers and also had dessert. The roasted vegetables lacked salt, there was blood oozing out of the foie gras, the Bacalhau à Brás was quite underwhelming in flavour yet overwhelming in size. Most annoying each dish was plagued with a crowd of excessive elements. There was a lack of simplicity or curation of flavours. On top of all this the servers were quite awkward and the bathroom door didn’t lock. There are somethings you can overlook but stars or no stars our experience was subpar. If you’re looking for a innovative and flavourful experience I would suggest you look elsewhere.

The best meal we've ever had! Attentive and prompt service, incredibly delicious food and very nice atmosphere. We ordered two menus- Alma and Costa a Costa and enjoyed the flavors (many of which we have never tasted), the textures, the colors and the compositions of every dish. I would also recommend you to taste at least one of the wines they serve. It is an expensive experience, but it sure is worth every penny.

Amazing experience!! My first Michelin Star restaurant. Other than the very enjoyable flavours, it was just generally inspiring dining at Alma. The creativity and artistry of each dish opened up new thoughts of how to treat different ingredients.

Loved the food here. We got the Costa a Costa tasting menu and thought it was overall very good. The restaurant definitely deserves the two Michelin stars, and we found the staff to be quite friendly and helpful. We liked the atmosphere of the restaurant at lunch because it was not quite as formal as a dinner time experience. The entire experience lasted for about two and a half hours with many surprises at the beginning of the meal. The Turbot and Scarlet Shrimp were some of the highlights of the meal. All the fish was extremely fresh and nicely prepared. In comparison to Bel Canto, I found Alma to be much better and would definitely visit again next time I am in Lisbon. Update: While writing my review, I noticed that the staff forgot to give us one of the courses on the menu. I emailed the restaurant to confirm this was the case, and it took them a week to respond. I am extremely disappointed that the staff forgot a course, and I find the situation extremely unprofessional.

It was our last night in Lisbon and a huge exclamation point of our trip. I tried to book 4 weeks ago but all sold out. When I called, they were able to give us a spot - and the best kitchen side table. Because our last meal at a Michelin starred restaurant in Athens was not that good, we went for the ala carte menu and ordered all items + desert. What an exquisite visual and pallet experience. Everything was perfect. Kudos to the Alma team 👏👏

Wife took the "Coast" menu, and I took the "Alma" menu, so we were able to try nearly all the restaurant's dishes. Unfortunately, the complexity of flavors was severely lacking and we chose to skip desserts. My wife described the food as "like the InterContinental restaurant" which, while a ringing endorsement of the hotel, is deeply concerning for a Michelin **.

Alma, goodness! This exquisite 2-star Michelin establishment did not disappoint me and my friends! Our gastronomic voyage was nothing short of epic, a symphony of textures, flavors, and aromas that danced across our palates. And the impeccable libations - each cocktail and wine a testament to artistry - honestly, some of the best I ever had. But of course, the exceptional service, and the unwavering hospitality bestowed upon us by the entire staff, elevating the evening to a true epicurean delight! "Alma," as its name suggests, embodies the essence of soulfulness in every bite. This culinary journey was a heartfelt testament to the profound connection between food and the human spirit.

Amazing food experience. Best meal in Portugal after many great restaurants in Lisbon, Porto and elsewhere. Service is spot on and wine list extremely good for Portuguese Wines. Definitely pricey but also worth it!

SUPERB!! Having eaten in restaurants owned by chefs such as Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal, I can easily say that Alma is my favourite restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food is stylish and delicious. Henrique Sá Pessoa’s menu is playful with Portugue classics, without being gimmicky or tacky. Dishes are effortlessly inventive, occasionally experimental and always beautifully presented. The service was excellent - without being stuffy. Our waiter was really attentive - but cracked a few jokes (mostly around knowing which bits of the more elaborately presented dishes were edible - ‘don’t eat the pebbles!’). The sommelier was knowledgeable and picked a perfect wine for us based on a few preferences we gave him. This is an amazing restaurant. With 2 Michelin Stars it is, of course, not cheap. But it’s an experience that‘s quite unforgettable.

Alma is a world-class, outstanding restaurant. The service, food and atmosphere are absolutely amazing. Bring someone special because you will be sharing an incredible experience. My wife chose the Alma tasting menu while I had the Coast to Coast local seafood-inspired tasting menu. We shared many bites. The presentation was beautiful, thoughtful and mindfully composed. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. It was and is a true treasure for the city of Lisbon.

Had a wonderful meal here recently and it was an absolute joy. Beautiful venue, wonderful staff who make you feel very at ease. What I was immediately impressed with was the fact that, though my partner and I both wanted the tasting menu, we were each allowed to have different ones, so that we could try bits from each other's and have even more of an experience then if we had both gone with the same one. The food, I thought, was SO creative. Flavour combinations that were unique, with fantastic results. The wines were really good, maybe not the best I've had with a wine pairing, but a fine celebration of wines from the mainland and Madeira. Maybe a wee quibble about the coast to coast menu is that the dishes could be quite samey (a lot of white fish), but the other menu gave more variety with fish and meat. Standout dishes for me were the gazpacho (I could drown myself in it 😂), the amberjack & dashii, and the foie gras. The restaurant became really busy later that evening and it did appear a bit frantic, got a bit noisy, with the staff having little room to manoeuvre at times, but their service was always impeccable. A really wonderful experience and I would highly recommend.

First of all, don't forget to knock! It's part of the experience. We had both tasting menus (Best of & From coast to coast) and it was truly great! Come hungry because you can expect some surprises from the chef :)

We were both not feeling too well hence did not opt for the course meal. Had two starters and a main. staff service was great and accommodating , even plated the mains separately for us. complimentary petite fours also served. Will hope to be back to try the full course menu!

This is our first time in Portugal and we were blown away by the Chef’s tasting menus. The service was nothing less than perfect. Wine recommendations were paired very well with the start and end of our meal, and the cocktail our waiter made was delicious. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an amazing dining experience. Thank you, Alma! We won’t forget this night.

Magnificent. The Alma Tasting Menu was a culinary and gastronomic delight, with impeccable service. I was actually a bit unsure about booking, but am so glad I did. A great mix of traditional Portuguese, contemporary cooking and a dash of international influence, while still being a personable experience.

9.7/10, an exclusive masterpiece in the heart of Lisbon. For the tasting menu we got 5 bites and 6 courses plus a delicious mini dessert. We'll worth the high price tag, but book well in advance as it's reservations only. One of the best tasting menus I've had.

Our visit to Alma was our first fine dining experience and we were not disappointed. Fantastic service from start to finish by the charming and attentive staff. A great menu (we opted for the Alma menu) with a wonderful wine pairing. We even had an extra dessert combined with a 50 year-old port wine. Alma doesn't compare to any casual restaurant. It is indeed an experience and not just a simple diner. Worth the price and highly recommended!

Great dining experience, and no issues with getting a vegetarian alternative. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. For locals (and for tourists), it is probably not something you'd be willing to afford every day, but I'd say if you like fine food, it is completely worth it.

Beautiful experience! One of the few Michelin Star restaurants that are cosy and down-to-earth. The servers were extremely friendly and helpful, and the food and wine were both excellent! The portion sizes were perfect and the artistic presentation really draws you in to another world. Definitely a restaurant to try!

Best restaurant in Lisbon. I've been to all the 2 and 1 star Michelin restaurants in Lisbon as a local and must say that they shine brightly above all else. The food is classic but exciting new luxurious, yet not pretentiously avante garde - it's incredibly down to earth, hearty, tasty and delicious. Just wow. The costa to costa menu was spectacular and will be back to try the classic menu. The service was exceptional and the tasting menu came with surprise after surprised from the chef. I especially enjoyed the pork crackling starter and I assume based off their observations around my enjoyment, sent an encore of the same dish. Lot's of lovely and thoughtful touches such as this is the standard you can expect here. They are clearly pushing the bar and not settling simply for just two stars. I expect this to be the only three star restaurant in Lisbon to emerge over the coming years. It has been a pleasure and privilege to have dined here. I will be back.

Dining at Alma is an amazing experience from start to finish. My partner and I opted for the "Alma" signature tasting menu with wine pairings. The attention to detail in each dish was perfection. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. The sommelier was particularly knowledgeable and made the wine pairing a memorable part of the evening. Each wine was carefully selected and perfectly matched each dish, enhancing their flavours. While Alma may not be the most affordable dining option in town, the experience you get is worth every cent. The quality and quantity of the food exceeded our expectations, leaving us fully satisfied. I highly recommend it if you want to experience a Michelin-starred restaurant. I would gladly go there again to try the "Costa a Costa" menu.

We came here to celebrate our wedding, first dinner as husband and wife. And wow. It's really a whole experience. We dined for 3 hours! The service was outstanding. The service team brought us many "surprises" since we told them it was our honeymoon. They brought about 5 snack courses before our actual meal started. Come hungry!!! My husband got the Alma pri fixed and I got the coast (seafood) one and we shared which I recommend. Neither of us are into foi gras so they let us sub that dish out. All around a perfect night. So many complex flavors and art to enjoy. Would recommend to anyone in Lisbon!

Absolutely AMAZING dinner!! Would Bolt driver was running late so I called Alma to let them know & they called me right back after missing my call. They told us not to worry & to take our time. Everyone was so accommodating with my allergies & told me what I should avoid. My husband & I chose the a la carte menu mainly because of allergies & we were so full because of the portions but also little surprises throughout the meal. Would go back in a heartbeat!

I have so much to say about this place… The food was amazing - we enjoyed every single meal - it was delicious, creative, super tasty and felt healthy and fresh. Even we got so much food we still felt great. They even baked sweet potato bread to me as I mentioned I avoid gluten and it was incredibly good and warm. They even arrange a small cake with a candle because my boyfriend was having a birthday that day. The atmosphere was very casual though very special. People working there were so sweet and did everything for us to have an amazing experience. Prices for menu were really good too. Big thanks to people that made our lunch special ❤️

Absolutely spectacular, amazing, best Michelin star experience we've had. Course after course just blew us away with incredible depths of flavors! Service was beyond, reaching for the stars! They were very accommodating with my nut and fish allergies, where you can see each dish was substituted well. The octopus, baby suckling pig, chicharrones, my mocktail, the desserts, all highlights of an absolutely divine Michelin dinner. The plating, the presentation, breathtaking! We had a perfect view of the kitchen seeing the chefs work their magic. Definitely a must when in Lisbon!

Alma undeniably sets up a beautiful setting that captivates the senses. The service and food at this restaurant are amazing, which, in combination with a lovely atmosphere and delicious wine, makes this place a must visit. It's needed to make a reservation weeks prior, even for a couple, since they are always completely booked. The tasting menu is breathtaking, and I do recommend it with the wine paring. The stories the sommelier can tell about these exclusive wines they choose to pair with the food are worth a visit by it's own.

What a special place and experience this was! Hands down the best service I’ve ever had. The food was phenomenal, the wine even better. It’s called soul (Alma) and you can see why. A modern take on some traditional Portuguese flavours.

The best food experience of my life. From the moment you are greeted at the door to when you leave you are treated with care and professionalism. Alma has a wonderful team who all play their part in making this an exceptional experience. The food is amazing - special shout out to the young professional group of staff in the kitchen you all do an amazing job and with a smile on your face. Special mention to the team who looked after us Gonçalo our sommelier and Francisco and Alfonso who looked after us.
