Great location looking out onto the square. Friendly staff and extremely fast service. Decor inside is fabulous and there is a place inside where you can see them making the codfish cakes. However we where not impressed with there codfish cakes. They where cold and nothing to write home about. The beer was served in novelty glass which was cool. But for 2 beers and 2 codfish cakes we where charged €31. Absolute rip off. Would not recommend! I'm certain you can find better codfish cakes elsewhere.

Tourist ripoff, you'll pay too much and you'll finance the facade they are putting up. A quick explanation We had just eaten the stuff in the last two pictures. 4 different fried pastries (filled with different flavors, meat and shrimp). Also one lemon creme Tarte for a total of 9€ in a regular cafe like there are lots within the beautiful tiny streets. That's the regular price and believe me they tasted awesome. Then we saw them advertise this weird cod cake with sierra cheese. It looked like a big deal at first and I love to taste local specialties so I went inside to buy one. They had a little show set up inside of a women in a mechanic cyberpunk box making the cod cakes. She of course was not actually making any it looked more like she stood there for show as she continued to form a ball of dough with two giant spoons for the entire time I stood there. I however didn't realize that right away but went ahead and bought one for 6€ the piece. Yes that tiny potato shaped cake with some kind of mashed potatoe cod outside and a sierra cheese inside did cost 6€ to go. Well it's a once in a lifetime thing right... Money is easily spent when on holiday. I took it with me and ate it a few streets further on a bench. It did taste unique and it wasn't half bad for a unique experience. However the reason why most haven't tasted this sierra cheese before is simply because it's not actually that good. Dou yourself a favor and don't get it. This isn't a local specialty. It's a way to rip off tourists. Locals Couldn't and wouldn't afford it even if it was a thing. Tourist's however see the marketing, sit down, order their expensive beers in a fancy glass and this thing for 6 €. They are trying to make a quick euro because they know that noone would come back anyway. As others said the service isn't that good either. Do yourself a favor and go into any decently looking cafe instead. From my experience many Portuguese actually speak enough English to explain everything you need to know. Enjoy 😊

The museum was incredibly underwhelming. It was super cheap, only €5, but it was not worth the horrible tour I was taken on in portugués. We asked to have a tour in either Spanish or English, we were offered a tour in Portuguese. I would recommend staying away because this was a tourist trap, to say the least. We walked through 5 different rooms each worse than the one before to finally get a local beer that was just ok.

Interesting to know the history of beer and Portugal and how it’s been made in the ministry. A good place to visit for a quick 30 minutes to followed by a beer tasting. Vantur with one beer tasting course €15 on the tour with three kinds of beer tasting would cost €20.

They have various local beers that are not available in stores. We went on a beer museum tour inside the restaurant which explained how beer was distilled throughout history. At the end of the tour, they let you choose one beer from their selections which are not all featured on the menu. The museum ticket costs the same as a bottle of beer, and each ticket comes with a one free beer. So there's no harm in taking it. Tour guides usually recommend good ones. It’s recommended.

Great food and place. It's overpriced, but you pay for the beautiful view. Compared to different places, you don't need to make reservations, and they always have seats. It's gorgeous inside, but the whole point of eating there is to be outside. They have three vegetarian main courses and one vegetarian soup. My wife had fish, and she loved it a lot. My vegetarian food was okay.

A place that you should come to hang out with your family. The service is very good. The waiter also very good too.He is very eager to recommend us a very good wine. And we were impressed! An octopus dish here is very awesome. We love it so much. It’s fresh, tender.Very delicious. Outside atmosphere is very chill. And inside is more luxury and formal.

My visit to the restaurant at the Lisbon Beer Museum was truly exceptional. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the elegance of the place and the attention to detail in its design. The ambiance was sophisticated and refined, creating the perfect setting for an unforgettable meal. The quality of the food exceeded all my expectations. Every dish I tried was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing a dedication and passion for gastronomy. Fresh, top-quality ingredients were masterfully combined, resulting in an explosion of flavors with every bite. From the appetizers to the dessert, each dish was a delight to the senses. Furthermore, the service provided by the staff was impeccable. Their professionalism and knowledge in the art of hospitality were evident from the very beginning. They were attentive, friendly, and always willing to answer any questions I had about the menu or the craft beers that accompanied the food. Their commitment to excellence made the experience even more gratifying. Special mention should be made of the beer selection available at the restaurant. As a beer lover, I was delighted to see such an extensive variety of options, both local and international. Each beer paired perfectly with the dishes, enhancing the flavors and creating a complete sensory experience.

Great location. We just stopped by for a beer and a codfish cake as they were promoting them pretty heavily. We loved the view and the service but the codfish cakes weren’t great. They really needed some type of sauce . They present them very nicely though

Stopped over for a beer at the little but one of a kind beer museum as we were exploring the Praca Do Comercio. So glad we walked in to check out the museum itself as a 5 bucks ticket got us a tour through the museum, quick history lesson and a bottle of local portuguese beer! Wish this place had more reviews as it deserves to be on the top list of things to do in lisbon, especially if you are a beer lover. And BTW, the place also offers a good selection of food. We tried their specialty, the codfish cake and would absolutely recommend that as well! #cervejaistheanswer #beerpairings

Turistic place to eat and drink BUT on a venue found on the "must see" list. Prices in sync with the location, extremely good looking inside and perfect view and exposure. Waiters easy going, friendly and polite. Would definitely come again in the future

I expected a place called "museum of beer" to have more than a "light, medium, dark and beer of the week". Friendly staff, interesting serving glass, nice view of the landmark. €7.50 for a 600ml generic beer. If you're a real beer lover: skip this one.

A short and interesting beer museum tour with a local beer included in the price. We stumbled upon this museum by accident when strolling through the city. It was clearly labelled on the outside that it was a beer museum, but it was not as clear on the inside on how to purchase tickets. We asked a staff who helped us. The tour costs 7.5€, which includes a tour of the museum and a local beer of your choice. In contrary to what another reviewer said, we were offered a tour in English and they also have written descriptions in both English and Portuguese throughout the tour. The tour is pretty short and is mostly about the history of beer in general and the development in Europe. In the end of the tour, you get to choose a beer of your choice from a Portuguese brewery. The tour guide provide guidance on the beer styles and some information about the breweries and their geographical location. All in all, a pretty short tour, but I think it is worth the price, considering that you also get a bottle of local beer.

Came in for the beer tour and loved the history and our tour guide! Lovely staff and decor with a little bit of history add dinning mixed altogether. Large indoor seating very clean and fresh. Fun and unique well worth the visit for just that. Cheers!

The decor inside is pleasant and interesting, they also have a very nice patio outside. Service was adequate. A good selection of beers to choose from. Their cod croquettes were good and they didn’t skim on the cod! Great place to grab a beer, have lunch or a snack and people watch!

The place is famous for its beer and Cod fish, however, the Cod fish is not the best I had. The Octopus salad on the other hand was amazzzzzing, the best I ever had anywhere in the world. Considered as a must try when visiting Lisbon / Lisboa

Was a quick decision to step in this museum but so glad we did! Was a fairly quick tour with such an entertaining host and history. Also the choices of beer at the end was great. If you have a little bit of spare time and are interested in Portuguese beer would highly recommend!

Went with my partner for a tour of the beer museum and a tasting, our tour guide Lucas was friendly and nice to talk to, happy to answer questions and tailor the tour to what the group was interested in. The tour itself was interesting generally about beer and how Portugal fits into the global history of beer. Concise and fun tour that is suitable for novices as well as those more knowledgable. The staff were all helpful and chatty and we enjoyed the beers Lucas picked out for our tasting.

I recently visited the Museo de Cerveja in Lisbon, "Beer Museum" and I can honestly say that it was an incredible experience! This beer museum is truly a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves delicious food and great beer. We had codefish cake and it was absolutely fantastic! The beer was also perfect. The terrace was my favourite spot to enjoy the sun and soak in the stunning views of the city. The authentic Portuguese food was to die for, and the beers were top-notch! The staff was extremely helpful, providing great suggestions and making sure that we were happy throughout our visit. As we ventured inside, the fantastic decoration left us in awe. The intricate designs and historical displays made us feel like we were stepping back in time. The cherry on top was the immaculately clean restrooms. Being in the middle of the city and close to the river made it easy to access. Overall, I think that Museo de Cerveja is definitely worth a visit and should not be missed. It’s a great spot to hang out, relax, and enjoy some delicious food and beer. I can't wait to come back and experience it all again!

For the second time I've been there and they refused to show the museum with pretext of "today we are not planning to have visitors in museum" though on their board it's said it is open every day. It does not feel right to be refused to enter the museum two times in different situations. I'm not sure if I'll try again but it's a pity because I've visited all museums in Lisbon

Tuna fish steak with mushrooms, fennel root and orange works somehow amazing as a combination of tastes. Good light beer and awesome "reverse bottle" shaped glasses :) All the staff speak a good fluent english and Service timing was also great. Prices could appear a bit high but consider that venue is placed just on Pc. Comércio which means indeed high rent costs etc. The outside areas and the internal restaurant made it look as two totally different places (maybe the inside area is too bit "elegiance" for a beer museum). Anyway, if you're in Lisbon not only for taste wine, this is indeed a good place to stop for a beer and a snack. I absolutely recommend it!

A must see place is Lisbon for beer aficionados but also for those looking to try the famous fish (cod) croquettes made right in front of you. Service available in English and Portuguese with payment accepted in cash or card. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Great view of the plaza and arc.

The vibrancy of gold color hits you when you enter through the doors. For €5, join the tour that ends with a choice of the many craft beers available in the refrigerators. Tour is a bit rushed. It feels like the guide would just like to funnel you towards making a beer choice and sitting you down at their dining tables. For the price, it is well beer and the mini tour. All in all, it's about 30-40 min

Good food, great beer and wine! Two out of three waiters were friendly, serviceminded and provided good recommendations from the menu. 3rd waiter was quite arrogant while explaining that: “look, orders are with my colleagues, ok?”. I mean that’s fine, but could you at least alert that one of your colleagues so that it’s not my problem to catch the attention of the other waiter and be polite and smile while you say that? That would be great.

Wasn't really sure what I would see at this place, but I had a great tour by Amanda. She exactly knew how to get the right tone for this tour. The tour itself was not very long, but it had all the information I needed. After the tour there was a chance to try a beer, which I liked. I recommend this place.

The museum was closed when we visited so we had light and amber beers in the spacious covered area out front. Worth visiting inside just to see the wall of beer. The glasses are unique, service excellent and the prices reasonable. Will be keen to revisit.

Museum of da Cerves. Very nice restaurant with interesting decor, very nice staff. Characteristic yellow fence. It is located next to the Praca do Comercio square. I recommend that you stop here for a while, have a coffee, a cold beer or a glass of good wine. You can eat very delicious dishes that are always served hot and fresh. The restaurant and the garden have a great atmosphere, nice and interesting decor. Toilets kept clean. I recommend that you stay here for a while and enjoy the nice view of the square and eat tasty at the same time 👍🙂😊

Very touristy but the sandwiches were good, the shady spot outside was nice and they had many options for beer. For a very busy place, the service was surprisingly very fast! We didn’t go into the museum tho we looked into it, I thought we’d be able to walk around it but it looked like the day we went they were only doing guided tours.
