👍👍 So grateful we found this gem of a restaurant! Amazing food and atmosphere, at super low prices. Easily the best place to go to dinner in Lisbon. A delicious bottle of the house wine costs 4,20€? How, I ask whilst ordering another. People often mention restaurant, service, Portuguese, grilled, local, prices, Lisbon, delicious, busy, wine,

If you are in Lisboa you “MUST” try this mom and pop restaurant run by a family so sweet and incredibly nice family. the food is out of this world and the prices is so so so cheap for such a high quality food and did I say yummmmm….We have been in to many restaurants in the past few days in Lisbon and twice here already… I am sure we will stop there one more time before we leave this wonderful town in 5 days…

Fabulous authentic Portugese place. So cheap! Amazing food, friendly service and clocks everywhere. You will wait but it's worth it.

Amazing food at absolutely unbelievable prices. Step away from all the tourist restaurants and visit where the locals eat. Simple yet tasty Portuguese meats and fish. Delicious. Very busy and can't book so be prepared for a wait. We'll worth it however.

This was such a great restaurant! It what such an authentic vibe. The fish was delicious and unpretentious. This is where you want to go when you want fish prepared simply. The mackerel with Spanish sauce was a favorite as was the grilled sardines.the restaurant is always busy but they are friendly and will get you in.

This is a beautiful restaurant with outdoor seating. We ordered the Grilled Codfish with Potatoes and Vegetables (Bacalhau Cozido), Grilled Sardines with Potatoes (Sardinhas Assadas), and Boiled Fish with Potatoes and Vegetables (Peixe Cozido). Some of these were the daily specials. The Grilled Codfish was very tasty. The waitress took great care of us. This place gets really packed. Come early!

It’s one of my favourite restaurants in Lisboa , maybe the best. I really love the restaurant, it’s a very traditional local restaurant, the food is delicious and worth the price, the staff is so friendly and very caring. You can enjoy the real Portugese food here . I totally recommend it! Go early because it’s very very full!

The food here is very tasty. The menu is a bit cut and the decor is from old times, but the food makes up for it all. The prices are very low! You will pay only 5-6 euros for salmon or other seafood. Sometimes you have to wait in line so I think it's better to make a reservation.

Great food at a very reasonable price. Although just be aware that it gets extremely busy here, there might be a little wait for the food. Perfect place to get some great food if your on a budget.

This is a tasca worth the wait. Food excellent, service excellent, atmosphere busy. This tasca was closed until 8th August so we made sure to go on this date. We had a 30 minute wait & the queue which you couldn't leave unless you wanted to lose your place only got longer as we waited. The food is typical Portuguese done well. There is a set menu plus dishes of the day. We had grilled cuttlefish, chicken sausage, vegetarian omelette & Bitoque. All were eaten until plates were clean. It is busy, the seating area is tight but this adds to the ambiance. There is seating outside the tasca which can be accessed by wheelchairs I assume. Desserts are also available but limited as it was the 1st dinner service since it had re-opened & didn't detract from the dining experience. Both alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks are served here and the father/daughter team along with the cook cover all aspects of the service. Make this a stop on your visit to Lisbon, you won't be disappointed.

Extremely cheap and tasty family cuisine. You come here for the warm welcome outside of touristic tracks. Everyday 4-5 new fresh new options. The house wine for only 4€ the bottle is also really good! Be prepared to queue if you don’t come at the opening.

We came to this restaurant based on Google and Tripadvisor ratings. We had to queue for 30 minutes before the 7pm opening time. The dishes are very fresh but very average Especially the soup, served barely warm The bill was interesting, as it cost 47€ for 4 people. To tell the truth, we were very disappointed with the quality of the food.

Waiting for a short time 10m to be seated.while queueing 10mins even before the place opened was not bad. The waitress was nice, speaking english and smiling all the way. I found comments here very unfair for service. Cheap house wine 4€ for a 750ml bottle. However the food was plain. Bacalhau was tasteless and the sardines although Very tasty they were served with guts (ok you are in portugal) and SCALES 🤮. i had to remove the skin to be able to eat. Also you sit in a jammed packed small space with the next table literally 2cm away so when u are lucky enough to get a fighting couple just next to you it becomes uncomfortable 😣. How often this can happen? Not sure but i prefer privacy and social distancing 😆

The simplicity and the tradition on the table. As simple as such. Do not expect a luxury service… but: line up your get in… and be patient (no booking is possible 😎). Get your table and choose from the list the fish or the meat you like and… be surprised by the simplicity and the taste either if grilled or stuffed. We had stuffed cod, grilled sole and squids, all served with potatoes, grilled vegetables and onions. Spectacular. I do not say anything on the bill… but ratio between quality and price is… unbeatable. The central position, clocks on the walls and the bohemian and genuine style inside makes this place iconic and a must be!

Most of the restaurant was closed during their holiday on 1 Nov. We just walked pass and found the decoration was so nice and people eating pork knuckles very nice. We ordered pig knuckles and sandries.... Very delicious with the local homemade red wines (I think). Very good match. Highly recommended and very lucky we tried this before leaving Lisbon.

This place serves inexpensive traditional Portuguese food. The place is packed with patrons due to its affordable prices. Food is all right, space is tight, kinda reminds me of a college date night with my family.

Excellent food!!! We ordered sardines and octopus and soup. They were all very tasty. Feels very authentic as well as I could see lots of locals there. The queue was short, we waited about 5mins only. Highly recommend!

We were looking for an authentic experience of Portuguese food in Lisbon and it was very hard, because most of the restaurants are tourist traps. This is a little gem in the middle of the city center with traditional dishes, very cheap prices and lovely service. We ate 2 fish mains, 1 shared cheese platter, 1 coke zero and 1/3L of local wine for only 24 euros! Strongly suggested!

Delicious! Quick service once seated and super friendly! Make sure to have cash because they don’t take card. No reservations and got there right after they opened at 7:05pm and they were already full so came back an hour later (and there was a line)so get there early to snag a table. Two entrees and wine was about 20 euros which was awesome!

We just loved our lunch at this family run restaurant. Everything was delicious and served with a smile. The sardines were perfect and the orange roll cake was just outstanding. We will definitely eat here again 😋

Amazing place to have authentic Portuguese food. Family run, with lots of jokes and hospitality. Have to get there early, to get a spot when they open. It's a must visit in Lisbon.

We ate four times in Provinciana, it was delicious there! Especially we recommend grilled octopus (it was so soft and really fresh 😋), grilled cuttlefish and mix of meat and mussels a la Alentejana. In general, highly recommend to try options from "pratos da dia" section - dishes of the day. Sangria is also good and homemade red wine :) If you want to come for dinner, arrive at this place around 15-20 minutes before 7pm because queue could be long ;) Nice service and family atmosphere. If you want to eat local dishes at a reasonable price, go there!

Long queue during lunch time and only one waiter. 30min waiting to get lunch is not so impressive. After seating, service was quick, kind and attentive. Very affordable prices and food was ok quality. Nice and authentic feeling in very central location.

A taste of Portuguese food in a typical spot. No luxury, just food in a small alley - dish of the day (either meat or fish) and some classics on the menu. Friendly service (don't expect a quick one). Can't go wrong with any choices. However my dish was not properly cleaned: squid bones and mouth. The plus: finish with a homemade dessert.

Great local food and well worth the queuing time. Had the best grilled squid and very fresh grilled salmon, a bottle of wine, bread and olives, and dessert, all costing no more than €20 per person. It feels neither touristy nor a trap unlike some central restaurants. Best to go when Google Maps says it's not busy.

Great authentic portuguese food with even better service: one funny lady taking care of the whole place very efficiently. The restaurant is extremely tight and in peak hour you might need to wait a few minutes but it's worth it. Prices are excellent especially since this is in the heart of Lisbon.

Great, simple Portuguese food. Arrive 10 minutes before opening to avoid a queue. The food was simple but great and incredibly cheap.

It was very busy on Saturday night. I waited around 20 mins to get seated. The food okay( I expected more delicious food due to the reviews) They forgot to give me a soup as a starter and they gave me right after they served the main dish. so by the time I started eating the main dish, it was already cold…
