After reading so many overwhelmingly positive reviews, my wife and I were looking forward to eating tapas here. Boy, were we disappointed. Which made us wonder if the owner has paid people to write so many positive testimonials about his place. • The service alone is absolutely terrible. • The food is unremarkable and the prices are ridiculously high for super tiny portions. Which is very unusual for most Lisbon restaurants. • The owner is arrogant, argumentative, bossy and not service-minded at all. Despite several available tables, he wouldn’t allow us to sit where we wanted (in the sun, it was February and a bit nippy). He then forced a couple, that ended up leaving his place, to move closer to us, despite an ongoing pandemic. • It took 20 minutes before our few tiny tapas plates arrived. Then another 20 minutes for our beer to be served. After paying almost €40/$42 for a tiny bowl of tasteless guacamole with toasted bread, hummus with more toasted bread and a small cheese plate with a few herbal olives, we obviously felt robbed and disappointed. We've mostly had really great experiences in Lisbon and throughout the rest of Portugal. The owner just smiled at me as I handed him the money. He only takes cash and we all know what that means... I strongly advise against supporting Graca 77 and recommend choosing other local places where portions are generous, service is friendly and the owner is humble and thankful for the business guests provide him with. This is clearly not the case at Graca 77. No matter what you read here, this is a classic tourist trap.

Lured by the impressive interior though hubs wanted to eat outside (which I think was more expensive despite less atmosphere) we sat down for dinner. I saw sweet potato chips on the menu which was disappointingly perhaps a cultural difference as I expected fries not literal crisps you could get from a packet. The main failed to impressive though potentially the fault of bland ordering (four cheese risotto and four cheese gnocchi). Lacking in flavour and texturally not quite right. Might have been better off with something more traditional from the menu

Try to avoid. Orange juice mixed with water. Vegan burger very low quality with chips from supermarket - 14.5euro, tomato salad was just 1 low quality tomato cutted - 5.5 euro. I took octopus with potatoes and vegetables, I clamed there was no vegatables and got answer "spinach is vegetables"... The food was not healthy at all, we paid 50 euro, left food. Then we went to 5* hotel nearby and got excelent 3 dishes + 2 drinks + excellent service for another 50 euro.

Once upon a time.... There were five people in their twenties meeting in good old Frankfurt, Germany. They had been through a long, cold winter, and were now looking for an adventure in the sun. After a turbulent flight they landed in Lisbon with a great lust for life and for Pasteis de Natas. When they had gotten enough of the latter, they stumbled upon a romantic looking restaurant. They were in desperate need of some pasta and wine. And oh, they were not disappointed! After being greeted by the most charming team you could imagine, they served us with delicious pasta (Tagliatelle with Prawns), drinks and desert. The hunger that had built up after a long day of strolling and exploring, had been satisfied in every way possible. What a perfect way ti end a perfect day. Thank you! In detail: Amazing smokey chorizo with olives and bread, hummus and tomatoes as a starter. Tagliatelle with Prawns as main dish - the prawns being buttery soft and delicioussss - honestly probably the best prawns I’ve ever had. All deserts from the menu (chocolate cake, carrot cake, lemon cake, and vegan panacotta) with espresso. Thank you again for taking the time and making us feel so home!

The food here was fantastic. The cod was fresh and tasty, if a bit heavy on the oil. The vegetarian curry was packed full of flavour and hearty. The cod lasagna was good as well. We probably would have preferred the lasagna without the cod, but we wanted to try it. The tomato salad was great, but it wasn't really much of an actual salad, just a tomato sliced into wedges with some oil and fresh herbs. It tasted great, just not what I was expecting and overpriced for a sliced tomato. There is seating inside available, but we sat outside on the fantastic patio. Note that you will have to pay slightly more to eat outside, but that is known upfront and was worth it for us. Staff were friendly, but nothing stood out as outstanding. Overall, a good place to eat, but quite pricey for what you get.

Beautiful little spot. We had a very late lunch and there was no trouble with getting food. All yummy and a nice variety of vegan options. Such lovely interiors, would love to try it in the evening too!

(Translated by Google) Nice place, on the other hand, very long wait (over an hour!), Almost cold dishes and unfriendly staff and no commercial gesture for this long wait. We are very disappointed and therefore we do not recommend this restaurant. (Original) Bel endroit, en revanche, très longue attente (plus d'une heure!), Plats quasi froids et personnel peu aimable et aucun geste commercial pour cette longue attente. I had the codfish lasagna and it was amazing. I generally don't like code fish, so that is saying a lot. This is a wonderful place just across a square from the Ingreja de Graça.

Our experience definitely matches the other bad reviews here: the food is bad and way too expensive for the low quality, service is slow and the owner is super weird and unfriendly. When we entered the building to pay he asked us to remove our masks and made fun of us when we refused. Please do not go there!

Lots of vegan options at the restaurant, though the vegetarian lasagne could have done with a few more vegetables. The Bacalhau lasagne dish was not lasagne - it was huge but probably why it cost €19. Service ok but a bit impatient.

The restaurant is very well presented. The host is friendly and charming. Everything we tried, and we tried several dishes, was excellent. The wine recommendation was great as well. We were there in the off season and got the last table on a Monday night so I expect the restaurant to be full most nights.

We had a great lunch here with a family of 4 with 2 kids. The food was really tasty, the decor was really beautiful and atmosphere was warm and pleasant. The staff was very friendly. The owner recommended a great bottle of white wine and helped us pick dishes for our kids. The entire place is decorated from napkins to chairs and tables with a great taste. We just discovered this place by walking and ended up with a pleasant surprise. Check the water dungeon room they have for the water storage in the Middle Ages.

We went as a group of 10 for a dinner and had a fantastic time. With 3 vegans in the group, we were looking for somewhere that served Portuguese dishes with vegan and non-vegan options and Graça 77 did not disappoint! We were seated in a lovely private area with more than enough space for all of us and a beautiful atmosphere. Everyone loved their food, the cod lasagna and the clams were particular favourites! The wine Antonio reccomended was delicious. I thought the prices were very reasonable for what was offered. Antonio and his wife were very welcoming and friendly. They were happy to chat about the dishes and answer any questions for us. Antonia also took a lovely selection of group photos for us. The restaurant was also in a beautiful location next to an observation point for the city which made a lovely place to go after the meal. I would definitely go again and definitely reccomend for people looking for a mix of vegan and non vegan Portuguese food. Thank you, Graça 77!

(Translated by Google) We asked before entering if we could have some coffees and they said yes. While we were drinking it, we heard the waiters making fun of us ... and when we went to pay the two euros with a 10 bill, they did not accept it because they did not "want to open the box". My partner went to ask for change in a nearby store and I was listening to how they turned us green I do not know why. Anyway, rude and very careful.

unfortunately a very unpleasant experience. Extremely rude owner and staff, our food was served to another couple on our table so had to reorder, as we watched them eat our food, then had to wait another hour for our mains - veggie spaghetti which was cold and watery and a mushroom risotto with an overpowering taste of wine. No apology from the restaurant owner, and on paying had my money snatched away from me and shouted at by staff member because they were “closing” despite there being another 3 tables still enjoying their drinks. The behaviour was picked up by other customers, including the guys on our table who had been served our food originally. They however had consistent service all night, whereas we couldn’t even get the waiter to come over and take our drinks order. Bland, cold food, stinking attitudes and terrible service, the experience as a whole was quite honestly the worst I’ve ever had.

As a vegan diner, this restaurant ticks so many boxes for me. They have enough options on the menu that I do often have trouble choosing. The style and ambience of this restaurant is a little more traditional in nature, which is a really great contrast from the multitude of more trendy looking places albeit they also have good food too. Antonio is a fine host. Great to chat with and his wine recommendations definitely to be trusted. I ended up with a hummus option and then a vegetarian lasagna option whilst might sound boring were in fact absolutely delicious and done with a special twist that I’ve never really seen before or tasted before. I was tempted by the vegan Lime pie, which was simply amazing. bravo! Graca77 is definitely a a serious contender when you visit Lisbon, it’s got the trifecta: ambience, food and value for money! bon appetit!

Fresh & tasty food, very welcoming & friendly staff & very reasonable prices. We went on Sunday evening, having just seen the sunset & views over the city from the viewpoint which is two minutes walk away. We were part way through our meal when a guitarist & saxophone duet set up to play jazz, turning this from a great to a magical evening.

Nice vegetarian restaurant : tables are ornamented with traditional tiles, food is good and owner is really friendly ! He speaks at least fluent English, French and Italian. The chef of this restaurant used to be the personal chef of Pavarotti for over 10 years. Apparently Pavarotti had a good taste, the meals and the wines were really delicious. If you are really hungry though, you might wish for a slightly bigger portion. In that case maybe you can try out the carrot cake. It was really good and had a absolutely delicious chocolate topping that was one of a kind. See you next year :)

Great local restaurant in the very vibrant area of Graça. The food is cooked with a lot of love and from recipe's that have clearly been passed down generationally, it is also extremely good value. The service is excellent and very entertaining, I would strongly advise taking the wine recommended to you by the owner, it's sublime and lends itself very well to the food. I would come here time and time again.

The place looks cozy and with nice interior. The waiter was nice. BUT.. the food was bad and the attitude of the owners was the worst. We got a non cooked salmon (tasted like they just defrost it in the microwave) and the rice was mainly salt. I told this to the waiter and later the owner, they offered to put the salmon back on the heat, but I lost my appetite completely so I asked to pay and leave. The owner called me to settle it at the cashier, making small talk and distracting me. He didn't give me the bill, just told me the amount and because I was so sure they won't let me pay for the salmon I just paid without asking questions. Later I realized that he sneaked it in to the bill. I normally don't write reviews but that kind of behavior made me feel so humiliated and mislead that I wanted to warn about it here. The owners acted like they cared (after letting us wait a long time when we had complained), but it the end it's just the same as many other people shared in their reviews. I strongly recommend not going to this place, but if you do end up going there, pay attention to what they put on your bill. They know all the tricks. Awful.

Food was fine, the place is nice (even it’s not vegetarian or vegan, it’s pescatarian so it has fish dishes and vegan/vegetarian dishes). One important detail: you can’t pay by card and there’s no sign notifying you about it, so we had to search for an ATM and get the cash, so that removes some stars.

Excellent quality of ingredients in this place and very well cooked. The staff is very polite and Antonio always there to ask if we are satisfied. It is one of the few places left that you get the experience you deserve. Cheers for the água ardente!

We enjoyed our time out on the square on a warm autumn evening. Very relaxed atmosphere spread by a hosting couple that makes you feel welcome. Definitely not a perfect service, if that is what you are looking for (one of our orders got lost and arrived quite late therefore), BUT authentic, friendly and making you feel to be right where you should be.

We randomly came across this restaurant after visiting the Graça Mirodouro and what a pleasant surprise! We arrived around 7pm to an empty restaurant, but only because it was an early dinner - by the time we left all tables were full and we can understand why! The food was delicious! We loved the cod lasagna and also had the shrimp tagliatelle which was great. Don’t miss out on dessert as well - the lime tarte and chocolate cake were AMAZING. The owner was charismatic and greeted all the guests. Would def recommend if you’re in the area!

Wonderful restaurant for those seeking a more traditional dining experience at an affordable price. There are several options for vegetarians and vegans - I had the gnocci which was very tasty. My partner had cod and really enjoyed it. The staff were attentive and friendly. We also had some excellent sangria!

What a charming find. We wanted an authentic quiet Lisbon dinner. This beautiful quiet spot checks all of the boxes. Run by a charming couple this bright clean restaurant caters to locals and tourists. The extensive vegan offerings are complimented by ample fish options. The fresh cod was ridiculous as were the vegan gnocchi. Nice wine selection (For a third of what you expect to pay in the US). Go and enjoy

I gave this four stars due to its location near the overlooks and on a nice big open plaza. We were here for a month and went a couple of times and depending on what's going on you may be able to get a table (or be turned away). Sometimes it's a little confusing to figure out how they determine that as you watch them with others (and experience it yourself). If you are able to get a table order a drink and enjoy the people watching. The couple of tapas that we tried were decent.

Very welcoming and attentive service. Menu is very accommodating for vegetarians. The vegan burger is balanced, sweet and salt and nutty character from beans, but not at all greasy. Non vegetarian options also available. Vincent is brilliant with customers and we'll be coming back if come back to Lisbon again. Love from Gloucestershire!

I didn’t eat there but went for a drink with some friends. The hot tea I had was nice. The owner is a very charming guy and super friendly. Not only that, they have beautiful souls! After I paid for my bill, my wallet fell out of my pocket and dropped under the table/chair. The waiter found it when he cleaned the tables after we had left. He handed to his boss, who kept it for me. What a relief! They saved me from going through what would have been hell a lot of trouble and time. Imagine if I had to apply for a replacement of my ID card and bank cards… THANK YOU SO MUCH again and GOD BLESS YOU!!!

'The jewel of graça' Excellent food, and the manager, family, and friends who are all involved with the business are lovely!! Not a tourist trap, with a vegan and vegetarian option! Very nicely decorated and well worth seeing. Be patient and prepared to order everything at once!!

I have been living in Graça for 3 months, and today I had my first visit to this place. The owner welcomed me right from the entrance, and was very polite - the overall service was very good, warm and friendly! I had a light breakfast with an octopus salad, a lime pie and a glass of wine. All food was really good and wine was delicious. Prices are a bit higher then avg, but the atmosphere, location and service definitely worth it.

We 100% recommend this excellent restaurant— as a starter, we had guacamole with toasted bread, and as the main dish, vegetarian Lasagna and Bacalhau. We enjoyed the charming atmosphere. Also, the staff was amicable and courteous.

We had the most INCREDIBLE dining experience here. The food was incredible, the wine was delicious, and the staff were so lovely and kind taking care of us. The back dining room is a must see for groups bigger than 6 ♥️

Went here after a walking tour of Lisbon. Decided to have a light lunch which included a salad with tuna described to have olives on it. The salad was okay, but did not have olives on it, instead it had black beans. It wasn't bad, just not as described or expected. There was a lot of canned tuna on it in proportion to the amount of lettuce. Service was good, and the atmosphere was nice outside the restaurant in the afternoon.

We came here based on a recommendation from our tour guide and we were happy with the outcome. We had the cod and it was very flakey and flavourful. Excellent dish with generous portions and beautiful presentations. Not a lot of vegetables as part of the dish but I noticed that this is standard throughout Portugal. Service was prompt and efficient and it was a nice place for lunch. Prices are slightly higher if you choose to sit outside.

Fantastic little gem! Good food is hard to come by in Lisbon. We were so pleased with everything we ordered. Cooked perfectly. Not over salted. Everything was great. The ambience is so pretty too. Great service and great drinks! I would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing meal here. Staff were all friendly and helpful and provided brilliant service. The food was exceptional, we are vegan and had the tempura and sausage croquettes to start and the lasagne and gnocchi for main. All were brilliant and we were served very quickly when we mentioned we had to catch a flight so could not stay too long. Highly recommend and will be returning if we go back to Lisbon.
