(Translated by Google) We had made a reservation with Google and upon arrival they told us that they had almost no food and that the reservation we had made had not been accepted ... Is it possible that after the confirmation email can a reservation be canceled? I have made many reservations with Google / the holder and such a thing had never happened to me. Of course, they invited us to be well received on the site so as not to have dinner.

(Translated by Google) We don't like the food or the concept, but we like the restaurant. The restaurant seemed to be all reserved but empty nonetheless we got table, the boards were quite simple and poor the sausages and cheeses were normal from the nearest supermarket, the Francesinha was dry and gravy looked like package, the overpriced wines the restaurant It seems careful but it is not a tapas restaurant, they are lost in the concept of their cuisine. When we leave the empty tables are still reserved.

We had a very pleasant experience from start to finish. A friendly manager confirmed our reservation and brought us to our table outside where we were served by our nice waitress Carole. The menu is meant to be shared by the whole table. They recommend 2-3 plates per person, we had 2 main plates and 1 dessert plate per person, this was enough. The food was excellent. It is quite experimental with special combinations, but I conclude this must be top 3 restaurants I have ever been. The chefs have a kitchen outside so we could see them at work. The environment is very cozy with the light colors giving of a pleasant warmth. One could say the food is expensive, although for 2 people we paid 60 euros, which included our drinks (2 non-alcoholic cocktails). For this high quality food/ unique experience, this price is acceptable to me. I read other reviews mentioning unfriendly service, however this was definitely NOT the case for us, we were very pleased with the pleasant staff. I would not recommend this place for kids, as the food and mood are likely a lot less appealing to them. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any couple or adult friends/family who would like to have a fine dining experience with a casual mood but still high quality food that strikes just the right combinations and taste. Thank you to the restaurant for this experience.

Waited 1 hour for a tapas plate... and it was terrible. The wine they serve is a big no-no.

What a super nice experience! The sourdough bread was *chef’s kiss* amazing and tasted very fresh. Also a very big fan of the fried chicken (prob one of the best I’ve ever tasted anywhere) and the lamb! The dessert we got (compressed cucumber & merengue) was kind of weird on paper, but when we tasted it, we were so pleased with how good it tasted and how well the ingredients worked together. You definitely have to make a reservation though - we went on a weeknight and it was still super crowded!

Great restaurant with excellent selection of dishes. We had the duck and the ox tail and both were delicious and really well presented. Suggest booking a table ahead of time as we got the last one on a walk in and it was packed. Service was quick and very good. Really nice area with a panoramic viewpoint in the park across the road.

I did not expect to have a life-altering meal here, but I did. The staff provides not just excellent service, but a true experience. They genuinely want you to enjoy your meal and you can feel it in everything they do. The food was exceptionally well done. Classic options but with their own style and Portuguese flavors. While it’s in season, I highly recommend the fried chicken, the smoked lamb, and the ribeye. As I told the staff, “the ribeye could convert someone to Christianity (or whatever religion you practice for that matter)”. The dessert, their lemon bread, was the most unique dessert I’ve ever eaten. I’m emotional about it because I don’t think I’ll ever eat it again and I don’t have a recipe. It was beautifully made and left an impression on me. Please eat here.

This restaurant is a Lisbon MUST. We had one of the most delicious and memorable meals of our lives tonight. Not only that, but the staff are courteous and kind. Paolo and Gonzalo are absolute rockstars when it came to suggesting dishes, and the chef’s menu is honestly something to write home about. 10000/10 recommend — get the Confit Hake and the Compressed Cucumber dessert, you won’t be disappointed.

I've been meaning to come here for a while now and heard some good comments about it, and it didn't disappoint. The decoration is nice and the staff where friendly. The cocktail wasn't too bad, but a lot of ice. The menu isn't too extensive, but I usually find that to be positive. The food did take quite a while to arrive after the starter, but it was Valentine's night .. and quite busy. Would recommend for dinner or just for cocktails and "tapas".

The food was perfect, the suggestion of drinks suited really nice with the choice of food. Edit: about a year later. And the food is still awesome love the pica pau! The beer choice got a bit smaller. Maybe something to thing about :) other drinks have a nice amount of options.

We had a lovely meal with very personal service. Not crammed in like sardines, as in other restraunts of this type in Lisbon. Friendly owners, with great customer service.

Last Sunday: extremely satisfied. Best experience in Lisbon. Steepest part of town. Sit inside or outside. Pity that Lisbon is that far away! We had different Tapas meals: sausages, cheese and beef due to very personal and interesting advices from 'Captain Cook'. I felt in love with the Portwine which was the perfect combination with the food. The chef and his lovely Danish wife had a perfect timing in their service, never too much. If we were the only guests. Warmly recommended.

We just had dinner here and it was absolutely fantastic. There is so much love and attention put in the food (the kitchen is almost run singlehandeldly which is admirable by itself) and the service was amazing. All in all this made it one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had (ever!).

Lovely little place on the top of the hill. Worth the walk to get here. The owners were both lovely people, very friendly and keen for you to have a good time. We really wanted to come back here, but sadly ran out of time.

Exceeded all expectations. We loved eating here, the cocktails were great and very well priced. All the mains were delicious and the service was warm and friendly. It’s helpful to know that if you would like to some they have tables outside that are covered and heated. It’s worth booking if you are coming in season.

Creative food, great atmosphere and very friendly service. We loved all of the dishes we ordered. The cabbage dish and the fried chicken with that amazing coriander sauce were outstanding. Also, don't skip dessert, you will taste something that you have never tasted before. We can only recommend!

First of all this restaurant is inside of the hotel so just push through past the hipster style interior setting. We had a great table inside but there is also a nice conservatory style seating - but more important : just great food and good, friendly service All dishes are more “to share” = contemporary excuse for small sizes that you can fight over with your table mates … but in this case - prepare for some fight as the quality is great! It started with the “sourdough bread with smoked (!) butter” that surprised us with truffle taste and a splendid bread composition. The “decadent fried chicken” was just superb. Soft and tender in the middle, crispy crunchy on the outside with a beautiful spicy coriander piri piri sauce. Wow delicious! The “smoked beef tartar with egg and flowers” had a bit rough taste to it so not totally my liking - but was greatly served with high ambition in the display. “Squid from Azoren with Caldo verde” had some unboxing experience to it and was good but was not blowing our brains out like the following dishes … As “main” we had “smoked grilled sea bass cozido broth and Iberian pork chorizo” - wow what a great dish with all the exploding flavors you get And the final orgastic climax was the “compressed cucumber black Pepper merengue with lime and vanilla granita” - wow what a feast, sounds awful but I tell you you will Remember this dish for ever … glad we listened to the recommendation of our waiter. But also the “caramelized lemon bread with lemon infused oil” was just great So Book ahead and come hungry to Enjoy this laid back place of joy

Amazing vibes. Love the ambience! Incredible staff also!! 5/5 The food lacked slightly on the flavor, but was exceptional with presentation! Here is what we ordered: Sourdough and smoked butter, and it really wasn't special. The butter didn't have much smokiness, and the bread was quite dense. Charred cabbage: this was the star!!! Highly recommend it. It had everything perfectly; delicious charr flavor!!! Beef tartar was also very good!!! We didn't order cocktails but they look great! Although our bottle of wine was very good as well!

We came across this restaurant the day before when visiting the Mirador, we checked the reviews and we were convinced seeing how positive they were. We booked a reservation for dinner. The restaurant is really original and cosy, the service is excellent, they really want you to have a great experience. I recommend sharing multiple plates, we loved the fried chicken piri piri and the hake confit. The food is frankly one of the best you can come across in any restaurant. If you seat in the inside you will be close to the bar where all the mojitos are made, it is quite the show!! The desserts didn’t disappoint, my personal favourite was the pressed cucumber. Our waitress patricia helped to make our experience a memorable one! I wish this restaurant was in my hometown and eat here everyday, it is really a must see in your stay in Lisbon!!

A dessert with leafs that are not sweet? Really pretentious and all in all not good food. Also, one of the worst tartars I had in my life. Good ambience though. Maybe for ONLY some drinks I would recommend.

Visited the Decadente for our last night in Lisbon. From the delicious fare to attentive and thoughtful service, it really made our night memorable! I will be thinking about the Croaker with Smoked Seaweed Broth, Iberian Pork, and Caramelized Lemon Bread Dessert for a long time! Great cocktails too. Thank you!

I recently dined at this restaurant, and it was simply amazing! The open kitchen added excitement as chefs prepared dishes with flair. The staff were friendly, described each dish in a fun way, and introduced me to delicious orange wine. Every dish tasted fantastic! A must-visit for a memorable dining experience.

Cocktails were good but unfortunately hamburgers were not satisfactory (meat was overcooked). Starters are ok (i took the schrimps and the sauce was really good). The red wine was disappointing. I would come back to try the sirloin (my friend had it) and for the drinks but not for the menu. Service is great and the restaurant decoration is beautiful.

Very good food and very friendly staff. Had to wait quite some time to get the food though but bery tasty! Ordered aspergus, only 5 small ones in the mug. You should either serve more, serve them in a smaller dish or just take them out of the menu. I do recommend this place in Lisbon!! Cheers guys !

The food was nice, but compared to the smaller / authentic places we had eaten it was not comparable. We were seated too close to another couple who came in after us, basically sharing the same table, it was quite awkward. The chorizo and cheese platter was very nice, the chicken wasn't anything amazing

Molto buono il pastéis de bacalhau e ottima la bistecca cotta alla griglia e accompagnata da una salsa fatta con il succhi della carne e chorizo

Just lovely. A small, cozy unassuming restaurant off the beaten path. Service was wonderful, food delicious, a charming little bistro for a casual meal.

Super delicious Portuguese food. Slightly more expensive but you get the quality that you pay for. We came for dinner and had amazing seafood/Portuguese options. Cocktail was good too. In the former Swiss ambassadors home so there's fun and upscale surroundings. The little backyard/courtyard has been turned into outdoors seating with the bar on the side. Will definitely return to try the 13€ brunch and for lunch or dinner one day. Edit: came back for the 10€ weekday lunch special and was blown away. Highly recommended. Busy for dinner and on weekends, but not busy at all for weekday lunch.

Located near the top of one of Lisbon’s tall hills – and well worth the walk or the ride up the funicular Elevador de Glória – The Decadante was the highlight of the meals we had in Lisbon. The chef draws on traditional Portuguese dishes, but adds a global flair in spices, sauces, and preparation. Two of us shared a variety of dishes, including grilled and smoked oysters over seaweed (the oysters were perfectly smoked and tender); steak tartare; fried chicken with coriander and piri-piri sauce; and shredded, smoked lamb in a lemony sauce (the flavor combination was astounding, with some likely “secret ingredients” in the sauce since the lemon was only one of many savory and acidic notes I detected). We don’t know very much about Portuguese wine, so the sommelier – a young winemaker himself – explained the various wine regions, as well as the expected grapes used in each area. At his recommendation, we chose a Quinta do Convento 2018, which was a blend of grapes from the Duoro River region. We’ll be hunting for this delicious when return home! For dessert, I had an “abade de priscos pudding, with a Port wine and orange reduction. It was a thick custard with a caramel sauce in addition to the wine-orange reduction – delicious. My husband had a caramelized lemony bread, floating in a vanilla-smoked cream and an orange curd and lemon-infused olive oil. This dessert was the “star attraction,” with its unique blend of flavors and textures. The server noticed how much we were enjoying and discussing the meal, so she asked the chef to come to our table. He was delighted with our positive feedback. We raved so much the specific flavors of the food that the head chef came out to talk with us his about his inspirations and some of his techniques. He told us that it took many attempts to develop the fascinating and complex lemony bread dessert. We heartily recommend dining at The Decandente in Lisbon. Reservations are highly recommended.

This place was incredible. The food was marvelous, very different to everything I’ve eaten before and a lot of reimagined traditional portuguese dishes. The chef was coming after every dish to ask how everything was and explaining the elaboration of each plate. I specially recommend the hake. It was a rollercoaster of tastes. And you go outside and you have the mirador De San Pedro de alcantara, which is like the cherry on top to a perfect dinner.

With Miguel the most dazzling dishes were conjured up on the table. Rome wasn't built by one person, and 'The Decadente' shows that "creation" requires a collaborative team. We went here twice and had a fantastic experience of the full menu with the accompanying wine list. Every dish stimulates and surprises the senses, from the taste to a touch and from the smell to how it looks. The taste of the product is the essence here, while the appearance and texture excite and suggest completely different. 'The Decadente' focuses on shaping new cooking techniques!

Great place for a cocktail in the afternoon/early evening. Stopped by here after exploring Principe Real and sat in the back terrace reading and sipping some port! Lovely, chill atmosphere and not too busy - great place to unwind after a long day before heading out to dinner. Pricing is decent - they have a happy hour (a few drinks are included in the special) and wine per glass is about 3-4 euros.

5/5 STARS - Exceeded my expectations (went here for a birthday dinner with friends) - Incredibly friendly and attentive staff - Lovely decor, plates, wine glasses etc - Amazing food, perfect for sharing and trying new things - Great wine selection and super affordable! - Amazing cocktail selection - Music was not too loud and the vibe of other people dining was very nice This restaurant understands what it means to go out for friends for a meal. We never felt rushed and we were looking exactly for this type of place. We wanted to wine and dine, take our time ordering bit by bit and seeing where the night takes us. We ended up having cocktails, almost every item on the menu, all of the deserts and 2 bottles of wine between 4 of us. It was amazing! Thank you so much for spoiling us and making this the perfect place to celebrate ;) I don't have any photos of the food because it didn't even occur to me to take photos because I was having such a great time! I will tell everyone who visits Lisbon to eat here!

The hostel has a good value... Clean, staff very kind, many options for the breakfast. They give us a welcome drink. The restaurant is a bit expensive, I paid €16for the room and €43 for de dinner. But the quality it was amazing.

Really good experience. The spot is really special. Service was good and so were the wines! Not giving 5 stars as the food could have been a little better. I understand the team is still refining the menu and being ready, it leaves good room for improvement, which is good! I will definitely come again and I recommend it!

The place is really cute. And a nice cosy rooftop. The staff and food is amazing. I loved tapas style but with deluxe touch. U didn't know they have 2 restaurants. I tried the one on the left For sure i will go back.

The flavors were well developed but everything rushed out at once. It would have been lovely to have enjoyed our cocktails before running out of table space for wine and all of our entrees.

If you are looking for a more foodie experience in Lisbon definitely grab a reservation here! The Decadente was located in a very walkable location in a super cute hotel. Every dish we tried was unique, beautiful and delicious. The staff was incredible - fantastic service! Our very favorite thing was the lemon bread dessert, unlike anything we had tried before with layers of textures and flavors and delicious!

Walking in through the hotel lobby and beautiful tiled floor you will find Decadente. It’s an interesting and contrasting mix of decor compared to the lobby but it is one that stimulates culinary excitement. We sat on the back terrace (which can get chilly at night!) and had a nice table where we can see the inside and the bbq chef outside. Cocktails were really delicious - not over complicated and not big, yet really full of flavor. We had the house “mule”, the whisky sour and the caipirinha. The food is sharing plates and while some were more flavorful than others they are all very delicious and artfully presented. There’s also a great balance of vegetarian, meat and fish options. Highly recommend the fried chicken, asparagus and shrimp tartare. Delicious combinations! Desert was also fantastic - we got the lemon bread and I think I could have eaten 3 in a row! Waitstaff were super friendly, always checking in and available. They made the experience complete! In front of the hotel is a small outdoor park / square area with amazing views over the city too. Definitely worth a stop on any trip.

We had a really lovely dinner. We had 3 plates to share between 2 as well as some bread and 2 oysters each. (I wish I didn’t eat as much bread to allow some space for a dessert.) The dishes were surprising. Portuguese tapas style with a twist. It was delicious! The Hake was stunning. The cocktails were beautifully served and very tasty. A friend of us who lives in Lisbon recommended this restaurant. Great choice! We’d definitely recommend and come again!

The best spot in Lisbon! This hidden gem has become my go-to in Portugal. The food is both unique and affordable, with top-notch quality. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the outdoor seating offers a view of the chefs at work which let me tell you, is worth the visit in itself. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the chef even takes the time to come to the tables and explains how he created the dishes. Don't miss the seabass – it's incredible!
