The food here was absolutely fantastic! Easy 5/5 no doubts in my review. Our waiter Dinesh was a cool dude. I love and can handle spice. I ordered my lamb dish extra spicy. He calmly explained that he will put the extra spice I wanted on the side as to not take away from the flavour. It was perfect and spicy. The cheese naan was good as well as the vino. Really a lajawab place to be. It been 5th Day at Lisbon and I was craving for Indian food. After searching many restaurant who claimed to be serving Indian food I landed at this place and really the place lives upto expectation considering you are this far from India. The place is run by Nepali friends and they did a justification with food, Chapati, Butter and Kadai Chicken, Yellow dal Tadka i tried ah one more thing the flat Samosa.... and this is quite good in taste. Since many foreigners also visit this space so the food is less spicy but still this place is good to fill your craving up. Really well manged space, neat and clean, staff is very friendly. So if you are there in old city of Lisbon and need Indian taste so do give it a try.

Excellent food, kindest waiters!! I've only been in Lisboa for a week in July, but still decided to eat in this restaurant twice. The food was DELICIOUS. The waiters have been extremely kind - one helped us choose the right dishes, based on our tolerance of spiciness, our curiosity, etc. It was worth every cent and wasn't even expensive! I definitely suggest the Chicken Everest (stewed chicken in cashew sauce and milk cream with fresh cheese, dry fruits and veggies). Many of the stewed dishes come in lovely mini-pots which are kept warm by a small fire underneath. It saddened me to notice that both times the place was almost empty - not because of the quality (everyone gives excellent reviews), I think they've just been hit hard by the lockdowns. Also, I happened to find out they were open even when Google said otherwise, and this might be another factor (I suggest making a phone call if you wanna make sure - anyway, the opening hours online seems to have been fixed). I can't stress enough how much I'd like everyone to take this place in consideration - it's so good and it deserves many more customers!! If I visit Lisboa again, I'm eating here again!

Amazing food at cheap prices! New Himalaia not just has a great service and very friendly staff but authentic Indian taste. We ordered: 1. Chicken Tikka masala 2. Lamb curry 3. Shahi paneer 4. Dal tadka 5. Garlic naan 6. Rice 7. Mango Lassi The chicken Tikka masala and the lamb curry were so authentic tasting that we ended up visiting the restaurant twice in our one day visit to Lisboa (unfortunately take away pics attached since couldn't control it in our first meal). additionally they have special offers for lunch as well at extremely low prices (6 eur for a chicken dish!). Highly recommend this place to everyone. Special mention for Dinesh. He not only helped us with dish recommendations but provided us with a lot of complimentary things. We were given papad, sauces and mango lassi shots (yes, authentic mango in portugal!). Must must try for anyone who is looking for good quality food at a reasonable rate. Loved this place!!

We ate dinner here for the first time last night based on the rave reviews. It did not disappoint! Let me start out by saying that the service is impeccable! When you are finished eating or drinking something, it is not long before it is off of your table. The atmosphere is charming and there are pictures of Nepal and surrounding areas throughout. Then there's the food. I got the Chicken Everest and hubby got the Lamb Everest. He had white rice with his and I had the zeema (SP?) Rice. Both were very flavorful and the meat was tender. We split a bottle of house white wine. At the end of the meal, we had a "shot* of pure mango juice. It was thick, not like a shake, but thicker than juice. It was delicious! In addition, when they brought the bill, they included a small dish of what I believe to be candied herbs? They were different, but good. They also included some coffee candies. All of that for 40€! There was plenty of food for the two of us.

We passed by here in a cab and my husband said, “Hey look Himalayan food.” So we took a chance and went back for dinner later that night. It was such a fantastic find! We started with veggie pakora, which had a delicious, flavorful batter. For our mains we shared vegetable korma and the spicy lamb, with the mixed (cheese and garlic) naan (fluffy and so good). Both dishes were incredible! The korma was creamy and delicious and the lamb was tender and full of flavor. They needed more spice, but the extra spicy sauce served on the side was a perfectly flavored way to mix in more fire. With our check came two tiny mango lassis, which was probably the best mango lassi I’ve ever had. The price was great for the quality of food, and the staff were so friendly and gracious. I would 100% recommend this place. My only regret is I wasn’t able to eat more of it.
