Perfecto! A small, authentic local bistro with delicious dishes. The quality wine, the good service and the chill atmosphere are the perfect place to enjoy quality food and good evening. The location is just Infront of the sea, with sits outside and indoor. Enjoy 😊

Awesome bar/restaurant in Alfama 👌 Here you can enjoy delicious small plates, wine and artisanal beer. The staff is super friendly and speaks several languages. Don’t hesitate to come here, you won’t be disappointed 😉

My wife and I came here while on a guided food tour around Lisbon and it was my favorite restaurant! They made us an unbelievable cod ceviche served on toast with fresh arugula and tomato.

I tried for the first time in my life the octopus salad and it was so delicious! Not chewy at all. You can also ask for their signature cod sandwich which is great! Don't forget to order some beer or gin - you can choose from many.

Service was very kind - cozy wine, beer and snack bar. We made a late dinner out of it and enjoyed our evening very much. Highly recommend the goat cheese taberna and toasties. Stop by!

Really nice staff, very welcoming and warm cozy place. The food is tasty, authentic and genuine, although it can be improved. The air inside the restaurant was warm and smelled of food as if the air conditioning was pulling the air from the kitchen or something; warm and unpleasant. Overall, great idea and place to be. Just needs some tweaks 😉

Great tapas place with craft beer. This was one of our stops on a food tour. We were served iberico ham, cod ceviche on toast and octopus salad. The octopus salad was one of the best I tried in lisbon. The food was all paired with a half pint of Sagres beer. Recommend a visit!

Excellent Portuguese snack bar! Quality food, great variety of craft beer. Very nice and friendly personnel. Totally recommended for a real Portuguese experience and not a touristic one!!!

SUCH friendly staff. I was solo traveling Sunday night and I could feel the waiters were absolutely wonderful. Geniunely so kind. Got the Mediterranean salad which was nice and refreshing and their tiborna (like (?) bruschetta) with goat cheese and alheira ild w consistency like pate) which was alright but glad I got to try smth new. Cosy ambiance as well!

We had a lovely dinner at Maruto after a day in the sun, this tapas restaurant was everything we needed, delicious food and enough variety to please our 3 children who are quite picky!

Nice and small and off the grid, good sangria and nice pricing, but moderate dishes. Good food, but nothing special.

Tasty food in decent price ❤️ but sangria doesn’t taste like sangria. However Highly recommended ❤️

Best value for money place we visited by far. Got a lovely little bread basket with olives, cheese, garlic butter, nuts and marmalade for 4 euro and a delicious little chicken sandwich for 5, along with a great craft beer selection, cheap but lovely cocktails, including a cool rum hot chocolate and a jar of mango mousse. Staff were unbelievably nice too. Not exactly hidden but an absolute gem of a place.

Excellent food drinks, and service in a relaxed vibe. It had multiple vegetarian-friendly options (bruschetta, salads, cheese plates, etc.), good drink options, and had availability even without advanced booking midweek. The service was excellent - helpful, efficient, and excellent English (which we very much appreciated).

Initially visited Maruto on a food tour and had to go back. Great Tapas! The bacalao with tomato and arugula was excellent. The service is great. It is easy to find nearer to the water in Alfama.

Great bar with awesome food, friendly and informative staff. Place is named after three owners: Ma-Ru-To and has a very cool decor. Menu consists of tapas only but selection is vast. Be prepared - cash payments only! Before you leave, try to guess the number of corks for a shot of ginginja 😉

Oh dear... What can be said about this amazing little gem??? Food is so great and the team are so friendly!!! Not to mention the good books available to clients. I ended up reading a poetry book by a Portuguese lady who wrote her poems when she was in Law School, so some of them are about her classes. Very alternative!!! There’s an impressive selection of craft beers and the music is just spot on. I’ll be back and all my friends and family will visit it in the near future.
