Hello today on 11th of september 2021 we were 6 people and we went to that restaurant to try some Nepalese food. The waitor at the beginning was friendly but his attitude quickly changed from friendly to aggressive as we did not want to order what he was pressing us to order. We ended up ordering some Chamucas and Chicken chaumin (noodles with chicken) and some beers. He made clear face expressions of his disappointment that we did not order what he wanted us to order. Nontheless, after waiting for 1 hour for our dishes we kindly asked him if something was wrong. He told us that we serve the dishes after the starters and since we have ordered more starters (because the main dishes hadnt arrived) he was not bringing them, a thing that he did not inform us about. We asked him kindly to bring the dishes, and what he brought was burnt noodles (as seen in the photos) that you could feel the burnt taste right from the first bite. We called him and told him that those dishes were burnt and not eatable and we asked for the check. That's when he became aggressive trying to argue the opossite and when he brought the machine in order for us to pay he was telling us “Be quick I cant waste much time cause I have other customers too”. This was exetremely rude, we were totally disappointed. TRULY WE NEVER COME BACK THERE. Photos of the dishes and the receipt follow bellow. If i could give -10 stars i would have given.

We highly recommended this place to visit! Not once, several times, at least! It was really awesome food! And low price. You must try shrimp with mango sauce, it’s our top. Also, chilly chicken, chicken saag, dumplings with chicken. And sure, the best spicy sauce here 🔥 I wanna add, there is perfect service, friendly waiter with great sense of humor 😁

Strangely one of the best curry restaurants I've ever been, and it's located in Lisbon ! The restaurant offers many types of different curry with plenty of side dishes. They also offer local Nepal beers. The owner himself is super friendly and makes wonderful white-wine sangria. It's a bit out of the core but it's totally worth visiting. We will definitely return again when we are in Lisbon the next time.

We are tourists in Lisbon but were getting tired of overpriced, overrated restaurants in the city center. We decided to try something closer to our Airbnb and happened across Rose Stupa - so glad we did! Their specialty appears to be curries and rices but they have a large assortment of dishes on their menu. We tried the Stupa special (which is some type of curry), I tried the chicken and my partner tried the lamb, both were amazing. I actually don’t think the chicken is on the menu but I told the staff that I don’t eat lamb and he offered to make a chicken version. We were recommended to try the chamuca as well. We ordered two as they are only €1 each, and they were AMAZING. A must try for sure. The chicken dumplings (MoMo) were also great and I highly recommend them if you’re feeling hungry! I think the overall bill was under €40 which I felt was very fair for the amount we ordered. If you’re not hungry tourists like us you certainly won’t need this much!

Rose Stupa offers outside and indoor seating! The Food and Drinks Menu is varied with lots of great options. The Indian and Napalese fusion makes for a great variety of dishes albeit curry, noodles or rice dishes. We opted for the Chicken Karai and Chicken Korma for our mains, which was accompanied with rice. The meal started with complimentary Popadums with a curry dip which was delicious. For starters we were recommended veg pakauda (Napalese traditional dish) which did not disappoint. We also got frango MoMo and Prawn Pakauda, which were insanely good! Would definitely order again - Especially the Prawn Pakauda. The meal ended with a Porto sweet wine which also was complimentary - and ended the meal on a positive note. The service from the staff was incredible, very attentive and offered many excellent recommendations 👏 This meal was the perfect ending to our trip in Lisbon - Thank you Rose Stupa 🌹

My friend and I came for a dinner because of the high reviews, and we were simply astonished at how delicious the food was. Not only was it extremely tasty, but the owner is extremely friendly and gave excellent menu suggestions. I would recommend this place to anyone in town! Food was very reasonably priced, too. We really enjoyed the chicken dumplings!

We went there to try this place as I saw 4.8 on 1.4k reviews so it must be GOOD right??WRONG!! PLEASE AVOID IT FROM A MILE AWAY!!! The owner was really friendly when we entered and tried to make space for us even though it was already really crowded. After we sat down, he chatted with us a little bit and after we ordered their butter chicken and a plate of prawn fried rice he was pressing us to buy 2 samosas as appetizers so we didn't say no. The samosas were really ordinary. When we got our main dishes the butter chicken was almost tasteless with a few pieces of chicken which was really disappointing. Even on my first attempt at making butter chicken I did a better job than this. Furthermore, the prawn fried rice was very salty with only a few pieces of shrimp on this big plate full of rice. Me and my gf were drinking water after every bite of it and left the plate half full. After we were done eating, the owner was always asking "Did you enjoy it" after our meal and before we paid and we just said yes because we didn't want to cause any trouble with how busy he was. To top it off, he even asked each of us to write good reviews on Google and we said yes no worries we will. And here you go there's my honest review of this place. The good review is most likely the people who really didn't care about the food and got away with his good personality.

In the quarter of Arroios this little unassuming gem awaits those who cherish Indian cuisine. Location 4/5⭐️ Good Accessibility from the metro station (5 min walk). The place itself looks unassuming but it’s cozy. Outside seating available. Food 5/5 ⭐️ The food was an excellent introduction to authentic Indian / Nepali kitchen. Jalfrazi Chicken is highly recommended. Also try the little dumplings as a starter. Service 5/5⭐️ The chef himself had a chat with us, talked to us in our language and was truly enthusiastic about having us as guests. He even recognized us when we came back! Service was really attentive and friendly, we were given recommendations and extra spicy sauces to garnish. Pricing 5/5⭐️ This place has a very very good price/ value ratio. Thank you very much!

The food was not disappointing but not really as amazing as the other reviews. I was very satisfied with the service I have received despite the amount of time it took for my order to arrive when there were only 3 customers and not big groups. Many backpackers and tourists eat here. Located in a quiet street so outside dining is really pleasant. I just did not understand why that time the staff who took my order kept discouraging me from ordering the rice that I wanted to go with the momo saying it will be a lot already.

We went out for dinner and found this small place. We didn't expect much, but our night was really amazing. 🥰 The waiter was really lovely and tried to speak with us in German, as this is our mother tongue. His German was actually quite good. We had the Chicken Samosa and the dumplings as a starter and then the Chicken Curry and the Mango Chicken. All in all very delicious. We recommend this place a 100% and try to come back! 😊

A really cheap but tasty restaurant. The portions were big and the owners really nice. Best value for the cheap price!

I usually don’t give 5 stars. But considering what you get for the low price and the very friendly service and the extra rice without an extra charge. It can lift it up to a 5 considering the context it is in. Of course it isn’t fine dining. But the waiter is kind and takes time to talk to his customers in a very kind and respectful way and if there is anything you need he gets out of his way to accommodate your request. Therefore I highly recommend this restaurant. I had: 1 Samosa €1 1 Nepali Lamb Thali set €8.50 and 2 Nepali beers on bottle. €2.50 x 2 The total cost came to €14:50

Great indian/nepalese restaurant with a decent variety of food. Strangely one of the best chow meins I've had in Lisbon. It's quite hot inside during hot summer days, so try and get a seat outside if available. Seems like this place is quite popular as people were coming and keeping the place full. Great service and friendly staff. Can definitely recommend this place for a nice cheap meal.

Tolles Lokal. Von außen sehr unscheinbar aber das Essen..... Wahnsinn. Sehr, sehr lecker. Absolute Empfehlung!

Came with no expectations, the place was quite humble looking aswell, but quite full of people! The menu has about 6 vegetarian dishes, and i asked the waiter if the one i wanted was vegan (the chana masala), to which he was very nice and said it could be made vegan so it's better if you communicate it first! Really no stress about asking it because the waiter was super nice through all the night and kept making vegan suggestions and reinforcing it to make sure!! super good experience As for the dish it self it was quite conforting and tasty! I also had a vegetable samosa

5 stars for both food and service! I had dinner here: lamb curry, and had veggie cakes as a starter. Both were amazing. Curry was buttery enough, and I was asked how spicy I want it, so it turned out to be perfect. The service is fantastic! I got recommendations on the food, spiciness, and wine. I will def come back. Great food, great people!

We highly recommend Rose Stupa as a hidden gem. We were new to this Nepalese and Indian cuisine and were happy with the owner’s help. The prawn curry and all the food was excellent. We definitely would go back here!

Terrible, curries that all taste the same and are full of dry old meat. What's worse? The guy who gets really angry when you don't like it. Never seen anything like it in my life. He badly wanted an argument that we wouldn't give him. He refused to bring us the bill when we politely asked. He just wanted to keep telling us how wrong we were for not loving his bland, tasteless food. Was shocking. Again and again insisting that his food was amazing. We simply didn't know what to tell him as he held us hostage. We are Indian food freaks who eat curry all over the world, happily munching down even mediocre versions. This was BAD. All we wanted was to pay and leave and he just wouldn't let us. Bizarre.

Best food, best price, best service. Our server was enthusiastic, honest, and charismatic and food was delicious as promised. The pictures don’t do it justice as they were taken at night. For a main course, appetizer, and wine I paid 16€. Will be coming back without a doubt

My husband, baby and myself were in the area and decided to stop here for lunch. I was hesitant at first however once we were seated, the owner was super friendly and recommended the food options that we try. He was very caring about my baby too. We ordered the chowmein, Nepali thaali and the chicken momos and honestly, the food was excellent. The owner was so concerned about my baby that he got my baby’s food first before our food comes. No one has been this concerning ever at a restaurant as it’s usually the parents who are. He also provided halal options to my husband knowing that my husband is Muslim. I highly recommend this place as the food was amazing, price was so reasonable and the owner is very humble.

Highlight: The hospitality of the Owner. We ordered Momos, Nepali thaali, Prawn Curry, Special chicken and Kulfi and gulab jamun in desert. They were all great. 10/10 for food. 10/100 for the sauce that came with it. Would definitely go again.

Food was amazing. We ordered the mint lamb and the chicken Kari, lamb was super tender and the chicken was with such a flavourful sauce, it was amazing. Samosas and mo:mo were super good too, better than I have ever tried beforev The waiter cares for the food they are serving and the service was very caring and good, he also spoke Spanish I would recommend coming here

Unexpectedly, I had one my best curries here. If you're used to spicy foods and lamb meat. You will absolutely love Lamb stupa special. It was full of flavour and the meat was so tender. The service was the cherry on top. I would definitely visit again.

The food is okay but the fried rice was too oily. Dumplings were okay only. Its a small restaurant with limited seating, probably good for a quite bite or take away. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

This is a laid-back outdoor- indoor dining in Lisbon with delicious Indian- Nepalese food We have eaten there several times and each time the food is delicious and very tasty Our server, Anil, is very friendly and helpful in describing and recommending different dishes My wife and I highly recommend it to everyone .

Great food with fantastic service! This seemingly unassuming place packs many surprises: very diverse menu from dumplings and samosas to traditional Nepalese dishes and interesting desserts and affordable prices. The biggest delight is the extraordinary service: humble chef who really cares about the food and your experience. He introduced the dishes in detail and customized them to our taste even when we were not asking for it.

The food was really yum! I ordered momo picante, chicken karai and borrego. Chicken karai was perfectly tasty that a guy recommended it to me! Also they had mango lassi, one of the famous nepal drink. They didn't put it on the menu, better you ask directly.

No wonder this place is such highly rated! You won’t find luxury interiors, but something much more valuable - warmth, cozyness, best human service ever and of course amazingly delicious food. The owner of this place is the main point to visit Rose Stupa - extremely friendly, respectful and kind, he helps to pick the right meal in the menu, which you love 100%. Highly recommend!! And it’s not too pricy, by the way.

100% would give this restaurant 6 stars if I could. We visited because we saw the fantastic reviews on Google Maps, and it did not disappoint!! Probably one of the best meals I’ve had in my life. The service was super welcoming and friendly, and the waiter helped us by recommending some of their best dishes according to our preferences. We had two samosas, momos, a chicken tikka masala (to die for!!!!) and a typical Nepalese plate. Would definitely recommend! From outside, the place looks like any other cheap restaurant in Portugal. But the food is just on a whole other level! The flavors, textures, aromas, and generally the entire experience were absolutely on par with what you’d expect from a fancy and expensive place. Except, it’s super affordable! It was a true pleasure to dine here. Stop thinking about it and just come to this place!

Amazing food with a welcoming, helpful owner. Take his recommendations! Had the pork momo, pakora, butter chicken, and special lamb curry. All were great, but the lamb was the star. Spicy, tart, sweet, but all perfectly balanced.

The food here was absolutely INCREDIBLE! We had excellent service and the staff made some great suggestions on what to try. It was tough to decide which dish was our favorite because they were all so good. Definitely recommend if you are in Lisbon!

Nice service and Good and affordable Food! I can only recommend to eat there during summertime. In the wintertime it is freezing cold. They leave the door all time open at 9°C. That means inside it is not much warmer

Great food!! Great service and staff! Great prices! This place is sold out at night, you have to have a reservation and for a good reason. We are there more than once, and will eat again when we are in Lisbon again.

Being a lone traveller in the area for last 2 weeks I would say this is the best lunch spot in Lisbon. Food is delicious, wine is exceptional and the service is outstanding.
