👍👍 The best coffee, cakes and pastries I have ever tried. Very very popular place with the locals and always busy. Nice to sit outside and just watch the world go by. The cafe is very traditional and drowned in rich history. Definitely worth a visit. Nice atmosphere and great experience. Pastel del nat... People often mention service, good, pastries, nice, coffee, cafe, great, Lisbon, delicious, classic,

The best coffee, cakes and pastries I have ever tried. Very very popular place with the locals and always busy. Nice to sit outside and just watch the world go by. The cafe is very traditional and drowned in rich history. Definitely worth a visit. Nice atmosphere and great experience. Pastel del natas are beautiful from here with a nice espresso to start your morning the right way. Cafe opened in 1922 so is now more than a 100 years old

Fantastic pastries shop and coffee bar with a large variety of sweetnesses! We had our breakfasts during our trip in Lisbon and we tried different pastries everyday, all tasteful! Pastel de nata included! The choice is very challenging! Staff is kind and service is fast.

Famous patisserie, many tables to eat in. Prices are hidden next to the door, they don't even label items but they can help you when you order. Waiters are often chatting to customers so try to be patient when you want to pay (some don't speak English). Prices are reasonable, very wide range of sweets even in the afternoon and live up to their name.

This place has been here since early 1900s and I have friends that have been customers for decades. Great old fashion carved woodwork and mirrors with an ornate ceiling. Waiters are professional and have been there years. The food isn't fussy, it's straightforward Portuguese fare and you won't leave hungry. It's well cooked, well presented and delicious. I will being going back that's for sure!

Nice place inside with great selling. Nice variety if cakes! However, the cakes may not always be fresh... asked for one and if it had been baked on the day and the waiter was honest and said no. Eat a croissant, but nothing special honestly... A bit noisy.

Old world charm and loads of yummy pastries to choose from. Like the mix of locals and tourists and the fact that you can have a bite no matter the time. If you want an authentic, local experience far from the tourist crowds this is the place.

This cafe is very traditional and historical and definitely worth to visit. We had a nice experience and it made me think of my life in Paris. The atmosphere is a nice mix of locals and tourists.

I’ve been visiting this place since I was a child, and not much has changed. You’d think this is a bad thing, but far from it. The same care is given to the customers by the long standing waiters and the food/cakes/pastries as still as good as I remember from my childhood. Try the Garibaldi for a chocolate overload.

15€ for the worst meal of my life. Food is disgustingly bland and served cold. Service is fast but very unpleasant. Only come here for sweet, not food!

I was quite excited to try this place as the reviews. However, the place fail to live up to my high expectations. The cafe has an old school feel to it, and they had a wide range of pastries available. However, the pastries we tried (pastel de nata and coconut tarts) were average at best. Overall, there was nothing wrong with the experience but nothing stood out such that it'll make me want to come back again.

I knew that it would be very tasty here, but it turned out that I tried the most delicious pastries in my life. I'm not exaggerating, just stating a fact.

Service to American customers is not very good. Did not receive the attention and service that others were receiving. However the food was delicious. Compared to services in other places in Lisbon I rate this service low, will not be going back because of the service.

The past pastel de nata in Lisbon! Buttery. Flaky. Smooth. Velvety. Rich. Enticing. Espresso not perfect, without crema and taste too bitter.

Lovely service. Food was absolutely gorgeous and tasty. We had steak with coffee sauce, Portuguese style steak and steak with eggs. The mango juice was fresh, as were the desserts. The location was good and easy to find if you’re just wandering around. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

They have the best Pao de deus (bread of God). Similar to a coconut bun found in Asian bakeries. Light and fluffy and not overly sweet. Their pastel de natas were also delicious. Tried the bolo de arroz, shrimp patties and brioche croissant, but my preferences were for the Pao de deus and pastel de nata. Very busy inside, but staff are very efficient.

Very nice cafe-restaurant in the old Viennese coffee house style. Beautiful decorations, professional friendly service and delicious food at still acceptable prices. We recommend the omelettes with asparagus or shrimp, the ice cream is delicious and also the apple pie!

Authentic classy lunch restaurant for locals. Queuing seems common, if you're alone of in a pair, you can stand and eat by the bar/counters. We were ushered in within 15min at 2pm. We ordered from an English menu, but prices were high, though portions and quality were average at best. We tried their fried offerings as they were the cheaper of the lot. Drinks outside of wines were not on the menu but can be requested. They have extensive fruit-based desserts and baked goods. However for non-Portuguese speaking tourists, asking for info/prices for these items will be seen as a chore. We did not bother with this as we were not ready to invite more stares from the mostly non-English speaking staff.

Great local place. Old architecture and original design. You can have your classic espresso at the bar for cheap and the (mini)pastel’s are delicious!

The whole family enjoyed this place, lot of options and great food! The service was excellent, we met Luis who was very patient with the kids and all of us as we were trying a little bit of everything. We are planning to come back the next time that we visit. Luis also provided a lot of recommendations that we enjoyed a lot.

Classic restaurant caffe. A good ambience and nice classic decoration, the staff was friendly and helpful. I was there for coffee break, the coffee was great but the pastry not really my taste.. they are somehow too sweet for me.

This beautiful pastry shop is one of my favorite in Lisbon. Started going as a kid with my grandmother and it has become one of those special places that always carries good memories. I usually have a mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack or order some pastries for take-out, but there are always several good options for lunch or dinner. Service is top notch.

Great food and drinks for a cafe. BTW, I always ask for chocolate; it comes in the right temperature and sweetness, not much, not less. Take a look at some 3D pics I’ve added. So well decorated place. Must visit!

One of the best cafeterias in Lisbon... and Portugal! A classic almost 100 years old. Great old style atmosphere with 1st class service. The quality of all products is excellent! A must to go!

Traditional 'pastel de nata' and coffee. We asked the waiter to choose other sweet pastry for us and we got a selection of three different ones. Very nice and classic atmosphere. Large selection of bakery.

Historical must stop place. Have a seat and take in a Lisbon classic or just stand by the bar and enjoy a quick espresso with a pastel de Nata.
