BEWARE OF THIEVES! I'm pretty sure the people at the checkout in BAR DO RIO cloned my credit card. After a party on the 4th of December, I believe the staff at the counter where you pay your bill cloned my card. My card had not been used for more than 20 days. Then I used it once at bar do Rio, to pay my bill at the end of the night. Next day I started to get weird payments that increased progressively in value until my card got blocked by the bank. A complaint has been filed with the police.

I don’t recommend this place if you want to have fun with your friends. The stuff were very arrogant and did a really bad job. I paid for my own table with 3 big bottles and food in the terrasse, and after coming back from the rest room they started fighting with me and stopping me from going to a table that I paid for.

I was surprised that this place had such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Was definitely not expecting a friendly greeting, clean toilets, crispy chilled beer and tasty starters (hummus and peixinhos da horta)...with a great view over the River and the ferry boats right next to it. I will be back...

Came to check reviews, I see many people are experiencing the same thing. I've already filed a police report. This place needs to be audited and deserve to be closed down.... I did a pub crawl via Airbnb experience last night (2023.04.15), our last destination was this dump of a place. We were given some weird card upon entrance, no explanation what it was for and our Airbnb guide didn't mention anything about 50 euro bounty if you lose the card. I didn't even get or use the card and the security tried to harass me to pay 50 EUR and WOULD NOT LET ME LEAVE. I said call the police, because at that point I'm being held hostage. I even told the guy, I'll pay 10 or 15 but never 50 EUR, because I didn't have or use some stupid card. I eventually found a card a paid 8 euro. Then on my way out, a security guy sucker punched me to the side of my face, in a poor attempt to try knock me out. He ran like a true coward when he saw I didn't go down. I'm sure they've had some lawsuits on their hands, if not, their days are numbered. The day someone dies, all you need to do is read these comments.

Most racist club in Lisbon. If even one person in your group is of color, they will not let you in. Will blatantly allow others to go ahead of you and pretend it’s a matter of who is a “regular”. White tourists were allowed to enter even after they told the bouncer they were just visiting. There was not a single person in line and our group was still turned down for having a single Black person.

This place is absolute garbage. Nightlife in Lisbon isn't exactly great, but this place honestly takes the cake. The guards will lie about the prices. They'll give you a card with credit on it for drinks and then make you pay atleast twice the amount. It's a scam and not tourist friendly. Will never come here again

The worst club in Lisboa. Don't go there. The security staff is rude and punched some guy right into the face for no reason. The drinks are way too expensive and pretty small as well.

Music was pretty cool and the location is okay. Dangerous if you’re drunk as the Security Guards do not hesitate knocking people out. Also pricing strategy is unclear but there’s no way they would answer your questions on the price you pay when you get out

Its a nice club open until the morning hours! If you wanna really enjoy probably this is right place for you. There are 2 floors and both of them you can smoke, drink and dancing… Cheers to all🥂

Had the clams and salad and absolutely loved both! I would highly recommend coming here. Staff were super friend and it was such a nice atmosphere A+ PS - went here again and had the Tuna and Prawns again couldn't be happier with the quality

Be careful with the cards given at the entrance. I lost mine and I had to pay 50 euro. For sure, I am not going to come back again. As said in comments below, they are not clear with the payments.

Keep attention, security staff will kick and hurt you without reason, just because some people they know and are more familiar will tell them to do. It's good place to chill out till someone they know tell them they don't like you.

My experience at Lisboa Rio Club was extremely negative. During my visit, I was a victim of racism, abuse, fraud, and misogyny by the security staff and the club owner. Additionally, we were held inside the venue for three hours and suffered physical assault, racial slurs, and theft. When we finally managed to leave, I was brutally attacked by four guards and the club owner, until the police intervened. This place is dangerous and it seems like these situations occur frequently. I advise anyone to exercise caution if they decide to visit Lisboa Rio Club.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Security guards are so aggressives and assaulted me and my friend. As a man the bouncer should NEVER lay his hands on a women let along 2 young foreign women. Absolutely shocking that management would allows this to happen considering it was run by women. By doing this he is suggesting to other young men that it is acceptable to use excessive force against women. very unwelcoming and everyone should avoid especially young women, unless you want to be physically assaulted and traumatised.

Will try to scam you by giving you a free drink with their club ”credit cards” bit then forcing you to pay to leave the club. They also charge you 15€ more if you want to change floors (the floors are very small) Also extremely empty, although it was a wednesday so kind of expected.

Mindest Consuption needed was 30 Euros. I was never informed about that, when I entered. So when I want to leave, I had to pay 30 euros, for nothing. That‘s a complete rip off, I will not recommend this club as there might be cost, which were never announced. This is just a really bad club management and a shame for the manager allowing to conduct this payment principle, which can be considered as a rip off.

I made friends with people standing in line outside. They charged us €15 per person and gave us each a white card. They said do not lose it, or you will pay €100. You use this card to pay for drinks inside. Music was techno upstairs. Bartenders were good. There is a patio outside that gives you a view of the beach. I would recommend coming here for sunrise or sunset!

Lisbon rio is one of the best places to go out at any day of the week , the team is so good that they will always help you and let you feel home . Every day is different kind of music with dj from all over the world , I really advise to try it out believe me u will not regret ( techno , nostalgic , trans, Latin )

The security system is really rude, they are really shitt, I went there with some Portuguese friends then they gave me to go in, but when I went there with some friends who can’t speak Portuguese, they didn’t gave us to go in. What kind of facility is this? One more day I went there with some friends and with reservations as well then they said we don’t allow except regular people. What is this can anyone explain? I said don’t go there, really never recommend someone to go there.

It's one more of those clubs in Lisbon where bouncers judge you with prejudice and feel free to block your entrance because either you're black, not from Portugal, have tattoos, died hair, whatever they can possibly think that is justification for not let you in. Also super sexist way of attracting man, it's like 20 for man and usually 10 or even zero for woman. Don't recommend

The experience at the place was quite unpleasant, to say the least. The staff members were highly unprofessional and unhelpful, leaving no stone unturned to make us feel unwelcome. When we asked for assistance, the security personnel, in particular, were exceptionally racist and uncooperative. They were not willing to provide us with any answers to our queries and seemed to be more interested in creating problems rather than solving them. Despite queuing for almost 20 minutes, we were left without any proper guidance or support. To our surprise, the man in the video who was responsible for handling ticket sales refused to speak English and told us that we should speak Portuguese since we were in Portugal. He allowed numerous people to enter the club without paying or having tickets, while he was quite aggressive towards us, which was completely uncalled for. We only wanted to have a good time, but the behavior of the staff members ruined our experience completely. Based on our experience, we wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We were two girls and the personal were very mean to us. You get a card when you get inside and when you go out you have to give it back but a friend didn’t find her card so two men literally hold here back (very rough) and didn’t want her to get out of the club. They were verrrryy rude to her and wanted 50€ as a deposit for the card. The whole club was also super crowded and too much creepy guys. I definitely would NOT recommended it !

Came here a few times on a night out, since it works as a Bar/Disco all night long. Had a really great time every time I came here to party, so good that I only left around 8am. The space itself is really pleasant and the way the organize the nights is damn smart. Good variety of music. Drink prices are really high for the standard Portuguese but that's expected when going out in Lisbon. Overall I really enjoy this place and will come here more often

We came with friends and it was very hard to find a place to seat and if they have only a table for two, don’t let you grab a chair for a third person even if you seat at the end of the balcony, where there is nobody walking. And then, you need to seat only inside, where is very, very hot. The waitress is very impatient and a little bit rude. Anyways, the drinks were not bad.

They wanted to charge my male friends 30€ per entrance because they were guys and girls payed 10€, then when we stayed only at the corridor they didn't want to let us out even though we didn't really went in. When the girls decided to drink the drinks for the 15€ that they promised we got for the entrance card and after we got out we got to know that we somehow need to pay for all the drinks because we drank more than 10€ (??) but we didn't pay the entrance fee. A rip off club.

We had petiscos: bruschettas with tomato and with champignons, shrimp, tacos with octopus. They were all delicious, the service was friendly, lovely view of the river, nice atmosphere, and surprisingly good prices for the touristy location. Highly recommended!

Went into this club where they trap you with a card system—lose it and owe €50, keep it and still pay €20 as an exit fee. No warning at the entrance, just a surprise bill. Felt like a hostage, not a guest. Staff were rude, the atmosphere hostile. It's a money grab. Steer clear!

Its a nice place to have fun definitely, its a late club, also after party from 6am!! To me the problem is that people its allowed to smoking inside in Portugal, so they have open area to smoking in take a fresh air dont need to smoking inside!

Great venue, great music, great people! Rute was an excellent host (and an even nicer person), super helpful and accommodating - always made sure our table/group was looked after. Will definitely return if I’m ever in Lisbon again.

They didn’t let us go in because we were 3 man and even if you are in the guest list, after that groups of 4 and 5 man came and they let them get inside, I think it was so racist and if you want to talk to the bouncers they don’t want to explain you why, btw we were dressing better that some people inside so I don’t think it was a dressing code

We had dinner at the restaurant, and then we had a VIP table booked as well. The service was really good. Correct in the restaurant and better than expected at the club. The staff was friendly and set all perfectly for us. They kept coming to our table to ask if everything was great, even via whatsapp. Note that the club was really crowded so it was good we had a VIP table. No issues. I’d recommend.

Coward bouncer who doesn't know his job. If you go for the dancefloor, keep in mind the rating is relatively fine because in the day it's a restaurant. Scammy business with card that they hope you will lose or will refuse to get 50 euros from you.

Hey, Unfortunately i am so disappointed, yesterday me and my friend went to your club and we already reserved tickets for yesterday. We were waiting more than hour for opening the club around 22:30 to 23:55. Club open and we’re on cue and before us have alots of people were gone inside and when then our turn is there then your BOUNCER said take aside you can’t go inside and he didn’t even see our TICKETS, it’s happened just because of we’re ASIAN (brown), so much disappointments and racist people. Worst place to be in lisbon, bouncers showing you why they shouldn't do this job. In a group of 8 friends, they decided that 1 shouldn't enter. This is how bouncers work, knowing the language gets you to pay 20€ less, all what we work for, here in portugal they forget about that, expicially in lisboa rio.

Me and my friends had a good time thanks to Samatha and Bruno that was really attentive to our needs. We think she deserves a promotion❤️❤️❤️❤️

Went for dinner as a couple, booked for 8h15 on the Fork app, it was closed when we got there but they opened for us pretty quickly as they were expecting more groups later in the evening. Started off with some great tasting drinks and some nice entrées, the view on the river was very nice, but it's next to the ferry station so it was pretty noisy. Otherwise the food was great, not the cheapest priced food in lisbon but an overall great experience that I would recommend!

SERIOUSLY DONT GO THERE!! They fraud all tourists, please pay attention to the opinions in here. The comments are not lying! I had already placed a complaint at the police station to the manager of the club and a guard, the guard pushed us to the exit with violence and without any explanation, meanwhile you are kicked out of the place with violence they stole our money, our cards and the pink card they gave us so they basically stole our money and cards and at the end they force us to pay 100 EUR for the lost of the pink card that the guard took from our bag and pockets!!! Unbelievable!! Never happen to me before in any other country!!! Even police was outside of the bar as the police station is in front of the club back door and they saw everything and DO NOTHING! Once the guard saw the police with us, they gave us back 1 of the cards that they just stole from us!! All of our money and the other cards we never got them back!! And police just asked us to go to the police station to denounce and obviously we did!

Such an amazing place and atmosphere to go party with your friends ! Bottle service and was treated very well by all employees and security . Do recommend to not loose your card to get in and out not that hard to loose !
