After reading so much about this place, we have it a try. We came here in a busy day, and we were surprised with how quick and efficient the service is despite how busy it can get. I was told that in a busy day they sell up to 6,000 pastéis de nata!! Prepare to make a line. Don’t worry, it will move fast! About the pastel de nata itself, we wrote out comente below: *The crust was impressively flaky, snapped when you bite. Very scrumptious and buttery! *Filling: reminded me of the creamiest cuts I’ve tried, I could taste condensed milk, vanilla, he egg wasn’t strong at all. Velvety a bit liquify. Almost difficult to eat the few bites. *Top layer: it is fully set, torched to perfection. No burnt taste whatsoever! *Size: bigger than the average I’ve eaten. With 2, you’re already very full!! Price: fair. good price/ quality ratio ! Extra remarks: - the coffee was very nice - the service was EXTREMELY efficient and fast - The staff was attentive. Sweet, responsive and kind

In my top 3 of Pasteis de nata. They were crispy, warm and the filling was sweet but not too much. Just lovely!

Went there after dinner since it’s next to the hotel. Line up wasn’t too bad. The crust is amazing and not too sweet. Definitely recommend to give it a try.

Tried this after seeing such positive reviews and was let down. More descriptions below: The texture of the crust was off to me. It had no layers and is not crispy or crunchy at all. It’s somewhat “fluffy” that it falls apart in your mouth easily. Some may like it. Though, I’m pretty sure the crust is made from croissant dough that’s flattened. The custard was good. It’s very soft and had slightly watery texture (not necessarily bad). The top of the custard is nicely caramelized. I’ve tried several different spots in town whose custards either had hints of cinnamon or ginger. The custard here is not bad and not very special.

This place is pretty good for the pasties but it isn’t significantly better than any other pasties shop. Make sure you put cinnamon sugar on top. The service here is alright and there can be a line depending on where you go. No seating inside but there is a standing bar

The place is small and pretty busy but the line move fast. You can watch them make the custard tarts in the back. The Custard tarts were flaky and sweet on the inside. It was so good. You definitely need a 6 pack

Perfekt!

This is my favorite spot in Lisbon. The pastries are always perfect and fresh, the crust is flaky and just right and there’s a little bit of cinnamon inside that enhances the flavor (I don’t think any of the others I’ve tried has cinnamon inside). Don’t think, just come and eat some of these delicious pastries!

The dough is crispy and the texture of its cream was very smooth. Not my favorite pastel de nata, because I enjoy more dense flavors in desserts. But if you are prefer light flavors, this one might be the best for you!

Excellent for a morning Pastel and coffee! All for less than 5 euros! The place has a kiosk inside located Time our Market and also a front store with chairs and tables facing the Cais do Sodre train station. If you're having a quickie you can easily munch and sip your coffee on the counter inside or you can lounge on outside seating! Also cool to see the bakers through the clear glass and learn how they do their magic!

4.5 stars. This place is so popular that the tarts are always freshly baked. The crust is crispy, full of butter and delectable. The custard is reminiscent of creme brûlée but much ve sweet. I’ve had these Portuguese egg tarts for over 40 years, mostly in Hong Kong, Macau and various chinatowns in the US, and it’s usually less sweet, perhaps adapted to the Asian palate. I’m not a fan of sprinkling on cinnamon but that’s how the locals eat this. Nov 2022

No doubt, the most delicious Pasteis de Nata in Lisbon. Trust me, we have tried many, including the ones from Belem. Tip: Order one of the excellent espresso or cappuccino alongside with it, then you know what I mean. The consistency of the dough and the cream is just perfect. The flavor of the cream wonderful, as the sugar does not slay everything, but gives the other ingredients room to develop. Wow!

One of the best if not The Best pasteis de nata I tried in Lisbon!! The place is very small and specifically specializes in Pasteis de nata❤️🥮 You can grab a coffee along with your Absolutely Lovely Delicious Warm crispy Portuguese custard tart🌹🌹You can either take it to go in their lovely presentable packaging or enjoy the experience of squeezing among other excited tourists to enjoy your mini sweet and coffee break!! The coffee I didn’t like at all, but I had to order one to accompany my beautiful sweet cinnamon pastei de nata❤️ I advise them to use different coffee beans and milk!! The staff were busy but they were handling the customers promptly! Luckily when I entered we were only two customers, but after a few minutes I looked back and the queue was coming out of the shop!! Overall, Absolutely recommended!!

Not sure how to feel about the egg tarts from here. It is an acquired taste, rather sugary in nature and very crispy on the outside. On the inside, it is soft and flaky. I can’t decide whether I like it or not but it is still worth a try given that it is only €1.2 for an egg tart and there are many raving reviews on this particular egg tart.

Shockingly delicious. Walking in, I expected a good dessert to have before going somewhere else. Ended up having to get a second and some extras for the hotel because they were that good. Please do yourself a favor and try this spot out if you’re looking for this type of pasteis

€1.2 each, I hope I could give 6 stars….I tried 5 different pastel de nata in Portugal, this one is the best of best! It is so delicious that I literally lined up again right after just to buy more!

I could eat these all day if it weren’t for the calories. During my stay in Lisbon I tried different shops and these are without a doubt the best I have eaten. I also took home a box for my family and they fell in love. I wish I could have some right now at home. Worth the price!

We ate more pasteis de nata while in Portugal than I care to admit. The truth is that they were all delicious, except for the one we had at the airport when leaving. If I had to pick a favorite though, it’ll be Manteigaria. For whatever reason they weren’t on my list of nata places to try, but we passed by, there was a line, so I knew we had to check it out. We ended up going to their place in Porto as well. Their iced drink is also very refreshing. Don’t skip this one!

I don’t need to say more but my pasteis was still warm and fresh from the oven. SOOO good. Also they give you some cinnamon or chocolate if you want to sprinkleOn top. That was a new thing for me, I liked the cinnamon tip.

Best custard tarts in the world! I've had them in Macau, but these are really delicious! Crispy flaky pastry and soft creamy filling. Tea and coffee very reasonable prices. You can watch them make them by standing by the window.

Very good Portuguese egg tarts. Crust is thin yet flakey. They have cinnamon shakers on the side which you can sprinkle on top of your tarts. Don’t forget the cinnamon! After trying this one, you should try the tarts from Pastéis de Belém to compare!

There are several locations including one at TimeOut Market. The Natas are very good and fresh, we found on the sweeter side but the crust is super nice.

Oh my god. Hands down the best pasteis I’ve ever had in my life. If I lived here, I would come here every single day. The custard is insane, I want to eat everything in the store! The queue may be long but it’s quick and so worth the wait!

This was “by far” the best Pasteis de Nata we had in Portugal, (including the one from Belem) We got addicted to the taste, in our last day in Lisbon before going to Porto, we walked here to get a couple of more packs. A must visit spot for us in Lisbon

We ordered 3 pastel de nata, 2 latte and 1 orange juice. We finished it in 2 min. There are not many indoor spaces to stand and eat, so many chose to take out. We were there late and they are almost sold out, so not too many people are waiting in line. Pastel de nata is somehow oily compared to other pastries store.

Pastel is delicious. You may not notice the entrance due to construction on the street, but this cafe is open. Cheap and tasty 👍🏻

Best Portuguese tarts in all of Portugal. Fast, efficient and admirable service from the staff. Highly recommend! Ideal to eat when served warm and fresh.

I found it way too sweet for my liking - although it is very, very soft and just unlike any other pastel de nata that we tried. Probably best enjoyed with espresso or coffee to balance it out.

One place you have to try out when in Lisbon and loving Pasteis de Nata. Very soft, a little sweeter than in Belém, massively delicious. Hint: no long waiting line in the evening, I finished my day through the city here. No matter what time of the day, you will certainly not be disappointed.

My very first Portuguese treat and OMG!!! So delicious! I am a big fan of going to a place where they make one thing! It means they have clearly perfected their dish :) Raving reviews here!!! We now have to try others to compare! So far, this is the one to beat!

The main difference with the Belem store was the cinnamon flavor which already mixed inside the tart! Personally not a big fan of cinnamon but people are gonna love them if they do! The service was a little bit slower than other shop but they are kind and friendly!

I have been buying from this store since 2016. I love it. They are good. However you have to beg them to get burnt ones. And i did in my last trip to Lisbon. Walked 20 minutes w a roll-on bag on cobbled streets. Bought 4 packs. Then I come home. This is what i get. 1 out of 6 and they made me thank them SO MUCH! Well, thanks for nothing and congratulations for being so smart in your own account and disrespectful to people who make such effort to come to you. Time to change!

Very popular Portuguese egg tart. Staff were all radiantly smiling and enthusiastic about their craft. I would definitely recommend stopping here. Don’t get me wrong, their egg tarts are absolutely delicious. It is hard to not give them a 5*, because the crust is absolute perfection. The flaw I found was that the custard was too sweet and lacked umami (egg yolk flavor). The cinnamon garnish that came with it helped balance it out, but I almost wanted to put some flaky sea salt on top to balance it further.

👍 Bakery that has been around since 1829, used to serve royalty directly (if I remember my guide correctly). The sweets, such as the God's Bread, were definitely good and worth a try.
