My friend and I were so excited to dine here - everyone who has visited Lisbon has recommended this restaurant for us. Don’t get me wrong, the food was great and the experience was awesome but both my friend and I woke up with severe food poisoning after dining here at 8pm on 9/24. Posting pictures of everything we ate here for reference. I reached out to the restaurant to flag getting very ill just hours after dining here and I have yet to get a response. If you or anyone you know also got sick from eating here in this day or shortly after, I apologize and hope you also didn’t get as sick as we did.

The room is beautiful, service was outstanding and the food was delicious and playful. They experimented with a lot of different flavors and styles. I’ve been to quite some Michelin-recommended restaurants, and I have no idea why this place doesn’t at least have a Michelin Plate recommendation. We absolutely loved it!

Mini bar is accessed through a hidden doorway behind three other head turning restaurants in the same venue. Charming, cool, decor and great atmosphere, we had cocktails, followed by the tasting menu and wine pairing. The food was inventive and surprising in the best way. The evening would not have been so special if not for the warmth, humour and well judged gastronomical advice of the staff who welcomed us, made us laugh and expanded our minds. To me our visit to Mini Bar will be a defining moment of our first visit to Lisbon and we wish the lovely people we met tonight well and well-deserved success in everything they do. (Apologies for the sentimentality, I blame the wine 😋)

Special evening in the bar. Great food. Get reservations and be sure to stay for the show after 1030 pm. DJ and live show. All food is prepared by Michelin chief

We booked a table at 11pm for drinks and dessert. The waffle was okay but the cocktails were really good. Around midnight a show started with two dancers and singers. In between the dj was playing great and enjoyable music. A great place if you’re looking for something different and entertaining.

Very nice experience. Super friendly staff. Amazing well balanced cocktails ands a very special setting. Cosy romantic with a touch of burlesque. Fantastic place and tasty food. I hope one day to see someone play the piano live in this surroundings. Would be magical.

You must have been here at least once! The entrance is magical as you step into a closet and a whole new world! The atmosphere, lighting and ambiance of this place is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised of every dish presented by the chef. It was an evening to remember! Although I don't think we'll be coming back here anytime soon (because the magic is gone.)

The bar is incredible. Its a secret place in the back with an amazing wall. The food is fun and different but it isn’t amazing by any means. Id go again for a drink and an appie but not the tasting menu. After conversion to CAD did not feel worth it.

Booked not knowing what to expect. From entering to leaving we loved every second. Stunning building, entertaining staff, superb food and cocktails. Our waiter Thiago was perfect. Friendly, comical and entertaining all in a not overpowering way. Would highly recommend this restaurant and hope to visit again.

José Avillez never disappoints, I always love all his restaurants. Mini Bar’s food is spectacular and the team there is great. I have been two times and looking forward to my next visit. I’m still dreaming about the tuna cones.

Exquisite dining experience. Appetizers such as tuna tartar was divine and drinks phenomenal - entrees we're good but left a little bit more to be desired. Amazing ambiance - must visit restaurant for anyone visiting Lisbon!

This is informal dining at an exquisite level of detail. I decided that I would focus on the small plates and I wasn't disappointed with everything I ordered. Even the bread came with a long stemmed rose with an edible petal, and you had tweezers to extract the petal once you've found it. The El bulli olives are a classic and is almost like the original. There wasn't anything that I wouldn't have given a 5/5.

This is a great place to go for drinks and apetizer-size dishes to share. From the moment we arrrived the service was just perfect - we were treated very nicely; the service staff was very accomodating, and without having to wait long stretches for our drinks. Great place to visit anytime you are in Lisbon for a few days or passing through.

A really incredible space to have some phenomenal cocktails. Michelle was very kind welcoming us and helping us get seated. Adler was one of the most fun waiters we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back to Lisbon and Mini Bar

Cool space, great drinks and service. The whole "everything is not what it seems" theme is WAY overdone and comes across gimmicky and misleading. The drinks were straightforward as was ALL of the food. Their signature "roasted chicken" appetizer (essentially dried chicken with ricotta and avocado foams) was tasteless unfortunately. The low temp egg yolk w artichoke, parmesan, and truffle was delicious but not sure where the grand mystery was - and the mushroom risotto was exactly that - so again, while very good, there was no surprise creativity in the experience. So that's the basic summary - most of the food and all of the drinks were great - but I really really really didn't get the theme of everything not being what it seemed - so I was ultimately disappointed by that lack of creativity (for the price and the expectations set, you should see something special at every turn).

Such a great experience! Thanks to João - probably the best waiter I've ever had. A last moment reservation upon first ever arrival in Lisban on my girlfriend's birthday turned out to be a great night and an unforgettable experience! The food and drinks were amazing, each and every one. The meals were both delicious and creative. Great choices of the head chef. And João - cannot describe with words the level of service and attention to deal that man has. Brilliant. Made the lovely atmoshere and great food even better. What a gentleman and true professional. Would highly recommend! Worth the visit!

Second time coming for the tasting menu and just as divine as I remembered! The service and food are truly impeccable and the ambiance is incomparable. I’ve recommended this place to so many visitors. If you’re going for the tasting menu one tip: pace yourself with the seafood course so you’ll be hungry for the meat course; you’ll get a ton of food!

What a wow experience! The food was great. Initially my husband thought we would be hungry (we didn't get bread) so we added more foie gras starters as that was SUPERB! But we were too full by the end. As we went at 10, there was a surprise performance that started at 11ish, which made this place so entertaining. Best to have reservations or else you will be eating at 10 like us! The service was excellent too.

The superbly good value tasting menu and wine pairing was one of the highlights of our trip to Lisbon. Innovative dishes that meant dinner was an adventure. Fabulous ambience and decor, despite some of the "here to be seen" crowd. Service was impeccable.

Fantastic food but the service was definitely lacking - seemed very chaotic and we had to keep asking for the waiters to come over (they also forgot about some wine we ordered which we ended up cancelling). Lovely tasting menu with some interesting dishes

I loved everything about this place! It’s like a speakeasy but more classy and elegant. Theatre and bar feels at the same time. Everything on the menu was superb. I personally liked the tuna tartare temaki cone and the meagre and flower ceviche. Food was presented artistically and I loved the attention to details. Portions might be smaller for our liking but overall, food was delicious. Special mention to Thiago who’s been very accomodating to us. Definitely 100% would recommend!

We absolutely loved this place. We did their tasting menu, which was an unforgettable experience and absolutely delicious! Definitely a meal we will talk about for a long time- every single course was delicious and interesting, truly a gastronomic experience that I would recommend 100x over. The building and secret entrance were stunning. Even more amazing than the food and atmosphere was the service- our server Adler was absolutely amazing!! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, so personable, and made our experience so much better with his charisma, kindness, and recommendations. We truly cannot say enough good things about Adler- I hope everyone gets to experience his service!

Excellent tasting menu experience here in a very unusual (and interesting) setting. Food was all excellent, particularly the tuna sushi, beef and the desserts - the weird and wonderful textures and food disguises is possibly not necessary but is quite fun. Staff here were very friendly, and service was good, they were also very attentive and helpful with allergens Only slight criticism is that to go to the bathroom here you have to leave the beautiful old crypt that minibar is in and walk through a busy pizzeria, which is a bit jarring.

Went to mini bar with a group of friends as we were visiting Lisbon. Unfortunately while the vibe and venue was great, the food was poor, over salted and extremely small portions of everything. Our server was also incredibly slow and made quite a few mistakes with our order including charging us for the most expensive vodka on the menu when we had specifically asked for another. I wouldn’t recommend if you enjoy a punctual service and value for money.

Absolutely delicious! The space is very decorative, with delicious food, very small dishes but every bite is a dream! The corn bread they serve as Appetizer is to die for, and the tuna tartar inside a seaweed cone is the best I’ve eaten!

Truly, a remarkable place. Unfortunately didn’t take pictures of everything. While I don’t eat too much meat, the curry with vegetables was spectacular. I could’ve had a second serving. The seared tuna was amazing. The drinks were phenomenal although service was slow. Be patient and I highly recommend.

We went here with a group of girls and loved it! The food (bites) were fine, some better than other but overall nice. The waiter was friendly and ambiance was nice! We went there for drinks and bites

If you’ve been to Tickets in Barcelona, you’ll love Mini Bar too. The food here is presented in the same ingeniously fun and creative manner, with your first bite served in a rose, unexpected pairings like cotton candy + foie gras, salmon + meringue, and playful ideas like beet root “lipstick.” The restaurant is tucked back deeply behind 2 other restaurants so it has a speakeasy vibe. Definitely do the full tasting menu!

We really enjoyed the ambience here & the decor, it felt very intimate. The food was very tasty but the portions were quite small for the price you pay. We had just as good food for half the price at another restaurant on our first night. The service was also quite slow with only 3 staff serving the whole restaurant.

Really enjoyed the food, staff and the atmosphere. And from the beginning till the end everything was lovely. The staff is very friendly and correct. They have a good knowledge of the menu and food. The presentation of the food is very nice! Take the tasting menu! Recommend everybody to go here when you visit lisbon!

An amazing experience while in Lisbon! Literally a ‘hidden gem’ you are transported to a speakeasy-style venue with a sophisticated and trendy cocktail bar vibe. We loved the opportunity to eat and drink late into the night (our table was for 10:30pm and we stayed until nearly 1am) and in such a cool place. The playful menu and fantastic cocktail mixing compliment each other well. We enjoyed a selection of a la carte dishes but there is also a tasting menu option where you can try some of the best selection. Not the cheapest but we thought good value for the menu and a few cocktails. Saw some posters for live music which would be awesome to see next time!

The food and experience was exceptional. The vibe in the Mini Bar area with the live DJ was great. Each item was different and had great creativity. We did two tasting menus. I would definitely come back here again
