For a business trip we stayed in the Intercontinental for 5 days and had a big room and a nice view. Also breakfast was really delicious. But there is one thing I can’t get out of my head and that is the reason for my rating: Two weeks later I still feel bad about how unsustainable our stay was at the hotel. My colleagues felt the same. Every day all towels are changed, even if you hang them clean. The cosmetics are replaced as soon as they were opened, even if they were far from empty. The only way to avoid this is to refuse room service. At breakfast, plates are pulled out from under your nose before you have fully eaten. If you want a refill, you have to use new plates and new glasses. On that point, one has the feeling the hotel is still a few decades behind. Especially such large hotels that accommodate so many people have such a big impact on the environment. It is very sad that even in times of frightening insights regarding climate change, there are still no contemporary concepts and I could not help but calculate in my head every day how much waste is produced in this hotel at this very moment. I think there are already great concepts to learn from and I wish that the Intercontinental will find the courage to step into the 21st century and finally make a difference. Until then, to be honest, I would not recommend a stay even considering the comfort.

In the craziness of travel these days our flights were sadly canceled for our trip to Lisbon. We contacted the hotel right away about the cancellation asking for a refund on our room (a full 48 hours in advance) and they refused to give even any kind of refund or compensation. Seriously avoid booking here especially if you’re looking for reliable and flexible places to stay.

Inclusive and a Equitable 👏 We had a function to attend but I was concerned as I was unsure whether the hotel can accommodate the needs of a physically disabled guest who is wheelchair bound. I decided to take the plunge with a wheelchair accessible room offered by the hotel. The bathroom with an open shower is large and convenient for people with physical disabilities. The room amenities met our needs; the charging station is conveniently located on the table top where we were able to enjoy the tea and coffee services and charge our phones at the same time. We like the bed and bed linens except for the pillows which are too large to sleep on but very huggable. :) The services, that left an impression were the concierge, breakfast and room services. They were awesome. The concierge team was very helpful; going out of their way to assist. The breakfast team was prompt and helpful; the breakfast spread was good. At the breakfast area, there is an open elevator for the disabled. This is very convenient. The bottled water available in the room was a boon and complement the tea coffee service, as the tap water has a rather off-putting chlorine taste. Kudos to the staff who came up with a door wedge that was big enough to hold the room door open. This allows the seamless movement of the wheelchair to and from the room. This is indeed a hotel that considers the needs of its physically challenged guests. Kudos to all!

Room was very beautiful and clean, good room service options and it works very efficiently. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff was friendly. They don’t serve any sophisticated cocktails at the bar and the gym a bit stinky.

I personally like Intercontinental hotel and Lisboa Intercontinental was one of the nice ones. Room was luxurious and bed was comfortable. Loved the rug, and beddings. It was nice gesture to send me parties with Port wine. Breakfast buffet was nice. Great service and nice spread of hot food, fruits and breakfast pastries. Staff were very friendly, especially the valet staff. I would definitely stay again when I come to Lisbon.

Amazing rooms, good size, very clean. The service was amazing. We had an amazing balcony too, with a great view. We did try the room service menu and was amazing. The creme brulé was the best. The breakfast spread was also amazing and always had the special desserts of Portugal. I would surely recommend

I work for a company that has a contract with this hotel. We have this same arrangement with hotels all over the world. Every time we come to this hotel the staff gives us the rooms with the 2 tiny beds. No other hotel does this. They will designate rooms with one larger bed. And if we ask this particular Intercontinental to change rooms, they tell us they are sold out and can't change our rooms. It is not right that they treat us this way because their money is guaranteed, no matter how uncomfortable we are. Other Intercontinentals we stay at are wonderful, and never we treat us this way.

Traditional Portugese restaurant was very good...food, service and ambiance. Arrived 1 day before a cruise departure and it was a good choice instead of looking for authentic local dining specialties. Concierge arranged for a private city tour next morning and to be dropped off at the pier to board our ship later in the afternoon.

I had an incredible stay at the InterContinental Lisbon and can't praise the hotel highly enough! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a warm and professional team who made me feel immediately at home. The place is simply magnificent, with a modern, elegant design that adds a touch of luxury to the whole. The quality of service is really up to the standard of the establishment. Every member of staff was attentive and available, always ready to respond to my requests and make my stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel's cuisine is simply divine! I had the opportunity to taste delicious dishes in the hotel restaurant, prepared with care and presented elegantly. The conference rooms are also impeccable. Spacious, well-equipped with the latest technology, they were perfect for my business meetings. I would highly recommend the InterContinental Lisbon to anyone looking for a quality hotel for their next meeting or visit to Lisbon. Many thanks to the whole team. #B4YOUDISCOVERY

Poor service, and the hotel room & bathroom facilities were old. They even gave us a room without windows… also takes forever to wait for the elevator. Felt like I was living in a 3 star hotel, definitely not worth the price🙂 Would rather choose and Airbnb. Don’t waste your money.

This was my favorite hotel we stayed in all of Portugal. It is so nice. Beautiful lobby (decorated at Xmas time). The bed and pillows were so comfortable. Nice bathrooms. The staff - door greeters, reception, breakfast staff, room service, cleaning staff , nighttime bar- they are all wonderful and kind. Nespresso coffee makers in the room was perfect to have after a busy day sight seeing. The buffet breakfast is awesome!

Enjoyed our stay at the Lisbon Intercontinental. It's located about a 20-30 min walk from the pier and several points of interest, but that also means it's not too noisy at night. The rooms are fantastic. Luxurious and spacious. Bed was quite comfortable as well. City views are nice. Service is good, but can be a bit slow. Had to call the front desk multiple times to get an extra bath robe and slippers. Room only had one for two guests. Lots of cafes and boutiques around to explore.

Great rooms, great service, as always. The new showers in some rooms (e. g. 1512) are amazing. Service is on point, food very creative and delicious. Can't think of better hotel to stay at in Lisbon.

Absolutely fantastic. The staff is amazing. The hotel is awesome. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. Provides us extra bed even though it wasn’t included in our reservation. Highly recommend it

We have had the most wonderful experience in Lisbon, Portugal and it all started with our stay at the Intercontinental Hotel; the staff, location, rooms, service, cleanliness and most of all John the Manager. This Gentleman goes above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable. Thank you John and the rest of the staff for such welcoming experience. We highly recommended this hotel. I had to come back and add one more touch; on our day of departure John met us in the lobby, arrange our taxi ride to the airport with his staff and wished us a pleasant flight.

Had the best experience in Lisbon staying in this hotel. All the people working in the hotel are extremely friendly and always willing to help: from the receptionists, to the concierge & porter and also the people working at the restaurant during breakfast. I was extremely impressed by how nice and helpful everyone was. The room was extremely cleaned and they prepared a little surprise with some fruit and champagne as I made them aware I was staying there with my partner. Also we booked a room with a balcony on the 18th Floor and the view was stunning. Location wise this hotel couldn’t be better located since it is near a park in the city center and so easy to walk towards downtown.

This is an amazingly beautiful place to stay..great views of lisbon all the way down to the water. The breakfast buffet is also amazing. I felt pampered here. Also, the concierge was the best we have ever experienced, helping set up tours as well as making great dinner reservations for us.

Fabulous experience! 18th floor with our own private balcony! Super comfy bed and roomy bath with 2 shower heads! Great breakfast and super friendly staff! Use the concierge to book a city tour on a TukTuk ask for Pedro!!

The staff was very kind and so helpful. In the restaurant we had such a good service from the supervisor Pedro Santos. Very patiënt, helpful and he had a solution for anything you asked. Most importantly it was good to see that he has so much love for his work and his love is very radiant to the hotel guests.

Rooms are fine and location is good. However- do not ever order room service. Ordered a pizza and it was a frozen microwave one put in an oven. Couldn’t have been more upset and disappointed in myself for ordering a damn 20 euro hotel pizza in Lisbon when there are authentic Italian restaurants down the street that will serve you an actual pizza for half the price

Stayed at the InterContinental Lisbon for three nights in late October 2023. The staff and service was some of the best I had seen across Europe - not only were they very accommodating with check and check out yet were able to guide us to a few great restaurants and attractions. Our room had a balcony with deck chairs and tables overlooking the whole city. Overall would recommend the hotel to any tourists or business people visiting the city not only due to the great location & design but the amazing service.

Though the room is somewhat dated, it is clean, no foul smells, and reasonable size. It has great views of the park and hills. The location is convenient and breakfast, though not fancy, has a good variety, fresh ingredients and great service. Also had a delicious dinner here.

The concierge team alone made this an incredible stay! They made stellar suggestions and gave detailed tips that made our first trip to Lisbon even more beautiful. But I can't leave out valet because they helped us so much as well. Neither my fiancé or I speak Portuguese, and some of our Uber drivers didn't speak English. The valet team translated our needs in addition to making great suggestions for our stay. We travel quite a bit and know that even five-star hotels don't always have great in room dining. But we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and flavor of our room service dinner. It was delicious! AND.... the bar serves great cocktails! The location is great and is walkable to so many shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay again.

Clean rooms to high specification, however: 1. Ordered room service at 11:30pm and they had a very limited menu and what was sent up was cold 2. I requested a late checkout but was woken up 3 times by room service early in the morning, they even came into my room!

Staff were very attentive, restaurant was superb as was the breakfast offering. I rated it down because of bathroom issues. The bidet did not work and there was mold on the floor and wall. The one bathroom plug would only operate an electric razor - nothing else! Lastly was the WI-FI. The name and password they gave us at check in took us to an unsecured site. After much cajoling I got a secure site which went down the day before leaving.
