We stayed here in October for 6 nights. We enjoyed our stay here but certainly this hotel will appeal to certain taste and unfortunately it wasn't ours. I would say it is extremely modern design, to the point of being sterile and somewhat unwelcoming. Lots of clean lines and minimalism on display. The king room is very small and the bathroom design is one of the oddest I've ever seen. Don't expect much privacy from noise or smells 😬 The staff are very nice and front desk staff in particular were very helpful. There was also a very nice young lady who worked in the dining area that I had some great conversations with. Breakfast was a limited selection of mostly carbs. The outdoor seating area with the waterfall is a really chill spot to lounge at and the highlight of this hotel. While not isolated, it is about 20 minutes walk to get to the tourist areas. It IS a good value if you just need a place to stay for a couple nights, but 6 nights here is much too many.

We have just stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Lisbon Fontana Park for two nights. The hotel is conveniently located close to the centre of Lisbon. There are metro and trams available but we drove as we had a rental car. The hotel offers complimentary parking for Hilton Gold and Platinum members which is great! Our Deluxe room was bright and in good size. However, the room was very noisy as it was next to the main street and soundproofing wasn't good. And the bathroom of our room 361 showed some signs of age and needs a bit attention as the drawer paints are peeling and bathroom marble needs a good polish etc. Over the course of two days I found all the staff that we came across at reception extremely helpful and friendly. They were well-trained and were the ambassadors of the hotels. WELL DONE! Breakfast was also excellent with a good selection of hot and cold food on the buffet. We would happily stay here again when we return to Lisbon. Thank you.

The hallways are super cool. The beds and pillows and duvets are honestly some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on and I am a world traveler. The staff was delightful from checking in to breakfast. Breakfast was a huge beautiful spread of local pastry’s and cheeses. Hot eggs any way you would like including eggs Benedict. Espresso coffee machine with many options from hot chocolate to classic americano black coffee. Excellent location for getting everywhere in the city and east to the airport. Highly recommend.

We stayed two separate times in 4 different rooms. While the best part is the bar and room cleaning, some front desk personnel could use a lesson or two on customer service. All bathrooms had moisture problems from really weird bathroom setups (say bathtub next to your bed with no walls). Interior walls all display long moisture intrusion, likely causing quieter a variety of molds. One room we had to switch because I could not stay due to mold. I may be over sensitive as mold and disaster restoration is my work. As Board Certified Indoor environment consultant. Whole hotel is essentially black inside, very cave like. First night the air conditioning was out (on all the suites on top floor, sleep with balcony door open. No way repairs should take that long (also licensed air conditioning contractor). Not one of the rooms we occupied, did not have some issues, most multiple. Naturally hotel answers are much like the answers to their reviews “ too bad you didn’t like it, but we are not going to do anything about it”…. My lady friend has held diamond status for 9 years, my self lifetime diamond, so we may know a bit about Hilton properties around the world.

The hotel is dark and gloomy where the halls look like a prison. Room descriptions do not match what you receive when booking, it's very deceptive on the app. I booked the top tier room; King Premium Room with private Terrace. The hotel describes its rooms as the following: Standard Twin/King - Black stone and glass elements King Deluxe - Stylish white marble bathroom King Premium – No color description, just stating it is an awarded room with private terrace I was expecting a white room, being it was the highest tiers of room and the progression was standard rooms had black colors and bathroom and the higher tier rooms had white colors and bathrooms. I however was mistaken and the room had black walls and all black bathroom. The terrace was smaller than expected and more of a rooftop balcony. As stated bathroom was also all black and the same that you would find in a standard twin or king room. The bathroom offers no privacy, with the tub extending into the rest of the room. The tub was very high and my wife is short with bad knees so it was not possible for her to get in and out. This prompted us to ask for a different room with a walk in shower. It required a downgrade which we were fine with. We were told we would be given a King Deluxe Room as the downgrade with a walk in shower. I am not sure what we got because once again the room was pure black with the black bathroom. Although the shower had a door, the entire wall facing the bed was clear glass and see through from either direction. Also adding to the prison aesthetic, the door to my new room was next to a utility access wall. The staff was helpful for getting me a new room but it was no where near the standard I expected based on descriptions and pictures. I cant help but feel I was downgraded to a basic room despite paying the top price for the King Premium with private terrace. Either that or it was completely false advertising. We decided to stay in the room and not complain further, instead shortened stay of 5 nights to 3 and booked a different hotel. The shower did not properly drain during our stay and there was mold behind the sink as seen in the pictures.

The hotel was overall excellent. The location is excellent, as it’s easy to get to every part of the city by the metro. The neighborhood felt safe and had a lot of excellent amenities. The rooms were generally comfortable. The aesthetic may not be for everyone. However, it did not detract from the comfort. My only complaint is that there were no onsite laundry facilities. There is a good laundromat at the end of the block which we ended up using. Overall, we would definitely stay here

Hotel is little different. Specially corridors, some might like the modern look other may feel they are in mental asylum. Regardless it is different and unique.Rooms are medium size, closet are very badly designed. Among the staff Sara was outstanding! She was pleasent, helpful and very polite. Hotel need more staff like her. Hotel is 1.5 miles from city center if city, uber will cost $6!!Overall stay was comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel has gone for a bit of a different look which I quite liked. A nice change. The bar areas is nice, open and inviting. The gym is on the very small side and only really fit for two/three at any one point in time - well kept and clean. All the staff where lovely and I met some nice other guests too. Obrigado.

The location of this hotel is pretty good; Uber drive to Oldtown is less than 20 euros. Parking can be challenging on the street, 18€ daily hotel parking is an alternative. It is a matter of taste of course, but we did not like the dominant black color inside the hotel. Long isles on black made a prison kind of impression- even though I have not been in a prison. The room was quite spacious, comfortable bed and clean and modern bathrooms. The only complaint I have is the hasty cleaning and vacuuming of the room; we found unacceptable amount of dirt in our room. Breakfast was great. Fitness room is small and modest, it can accommodate only a few people. Service was okay but not the normal Hilton quality.

Very weird hotel. Most walls are black. Front desk area very dark. Not sure how the employees stand it over time. Hallway to rooms are also all black- walls and doors all painted black. Room and bathroom have black walls as well. Shower head did not work right. Dinner at restaurant took an hour to get food, hardly anyone in there so it wasn’t because they were busy. Employees were nice and friendly though. We wouldn’t stay there again.

The room decor is designed to cause claustrophobia even if you don't have it. The bathrooms are hazardous with black glass everywhere and a shower than can only be accessed by climbing over into a narrow tub. There is no overhead light in the tub so one has to guess which bottle dispenses soap, shampoo etc. The corridors leading to the rooms were similar to the ones in many prisons-no natural light and highly reflective black walls. There are many other similarly priced hotels in the area and recommend checking those out before selecting this one.

A fine hotel, but there are some very unique design elements. The hotel corridors were quite stark and dark (see photo) - but that really does not take away from the stay (I believe it was an attempt to recreate the atmosphere of the former factory at this location). The bathroom was more interesting as there were mirrors on multiple walls which creates an infinity scenario (again, see photo). My wife described it as going to the bathroom with dozens of people joining you. Especially disconcerting in the middle of the evening. If you can get beyond the design elements, the food and service were fine. The location is well suited for business in Lisbon, but not on top of the tourist locations.

Really nice hotel. But the inside looks really unusual! Especially the bathroom! Please be prepared that everything is going to be wet there ! That is why only 4 starts! The register area was really hot, I guess, they have turned off AC. The room smells wet! Also, they should fire the designer of the rooms. It is black, and very unconvinced to use. I don’t like that after I took a shower the whole bathroom is covered in puddles of water.

Nice, clean, beautiful, professional hotel. Park in Hilton parking lot,,we found out! Have to pay parking. I think around $15 a dy. Easy check in and check out. Beautiful comfy rooms. Delicous bar and food. We always arrived later and the bar closes at 11pm , Very nice feature. We got there a little earlier, 10:30pm and were allowed to order some salads, and appetizers plus yummy wine!

Had the worst experience from all the Hilton properties. Only good thing is location. Staff is nice Not at all even like a 4 star hotel. Very poor interior designing having it all black or some areas only white… very congested and narrow hall way and rooms. Not properly lighted lobby. Walls are very thin as sounds from other rooms come. Overall disappointed, would have changed hotel but it was only 2 nights so stayed.

Great hotel. The theme is black and the hallways are straight out of the matrix. Be sure to pick a room facing the back as they are quieter off the main street. Front desk staff is very pleasant.

Lovely hotel, luxurious stay Pros: 1. Lovely rooms 2. One of the few hotels in Europe that has a bell boy! 3. Very helpful and English speaking front desk executive who recommended what to see and what to skip (given limited time at hand) and warned us of the common scams beforehand. Cons: 1. Rooms are very good looking; however there are basic functionality issues eg. full length mirror only beside the comode, water spillage near the bath tub. 2. The approach to the room looks like a locker room / train bogie of sorts; completely shatters the expectations and then opens up to a lovely room!

Hotel has some advantages and disadvanatges. First, I will start with the advantages. Breakfast and restaurant staff is super helpful and nice, especially Jonathan. That is a very big choice during breakfast. Food is also so delicious during dinner in the restaurant. Another member of the staff, who is super helpful is Sara from Front Desk. Premium rooms are nice, but basic rooms are not. Also there are different corridors when you want to go to your room.

Junior suite was nice but door to the balcony was locked. Room was nice sized for the price. Unable to use light in the shower. Restaurant and bar are very nice. Felioe was very helpful.

All employees at the front desk, like Filipa and Lara, were extremely helpful. We were able to store our luggage when needed, and received numerous recommendations for local fish specialties, the best dinner locations, and even what to do with our last few hours in Lisbon. The orange juice at breakfast was the best orange juice in my life. The man serving the OJ (on Sept 26, 2023) was very kind and gave us recommendations for local foods also. Great place for a short trip to Lisbon!

This hotel is very gloomy everything is completely black, the walls, carpets , doors and bathrooms. The room feels more lime a prison cell not sure what they were thinking when they were decorating the place very depressing!!!! Never again

We arrived by car, finding that there wasn’t a place to park out front and unload our luggage. Check-in was slow but very helpful. The hallways and rooms are strange - the bathroom is not private, and the tub is unusable. There was quite a bit of noise from the street. Overall for the price not what I expected.

This must be the worst Hilton I have stayed at in terms room condition. The “extension” is supposedly new and I was assigned a room here because I asked for more space (HH Gold upgrade). The bathroom door is squeaky and doesn’t close because the window/electric curtain are in the way. The shower leaks water from behind the shower pipe. The fit-out finishing is very bad. There are no amenities 🫨. I also asked for an additional luggage wrack, they said it’ll be delivered in ten minutes, I was in the room for at least an hour and it never arrived. This stay upgrades me to a HH Diamond level member, this means I have stayed at so many Hilton properties over the past 12-24 months. I almost never have any critical feedback. However, I am truly disappointed in this property. I recommend remodeling the rooms and looking at the small details. On a different note: the staff is wonderful, very welcoming, and helpful. The breakfast was nice.

Stayed at this hotel over a weekend in the summer. Room design is very interesting with the mirrors and walls from the bathroom to the room. Although everything was very dark, it still was very interesting. The lobby and breakfast area was great, very friendly staff who helped book tours to vineyards and such.

Modern hotel, great location. Staff was kind and accommodating. Found it too stark. Not warm and inviting. A bit weird with bathroom and tub extending into bedroom without doors! It's polarizing, some may like it. I didn't. I prefer basic functionality like drawers, nightstands, bathroom/shower with doors.

Very good hotel, heavenly bed, good breakfast, clean rooms, nice staff, but... No noise insulation in the rooms, and that was a deal breaker for me. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars

  • 2/5 Mark D. 4 months ago on Google
So … this review is difficult because the staff and service are great. In fact they overcome a poorly executed and profoundly weird black “Bauhaus” design scheme. The entry is black, halls are black, rooms are black and white and the restaurant is white. In fact the bathroom mirrors are black which prompted me to make a “black mirror” joke about the whole experience. The bathrooms layer a weird design on top of a weird color scheme. The design all but eliminates privacy which may appeal to newly weds but few others. We have sympathy for the staff who are making the best of a strange environment but just cant see stopping here again.

Great place to stay while in Lisbon. Quiet good located, great amenities and in front of a market and a shopping

If you are staying with a special someone or significant other and aren’t comfortable having them hear you use the toilet this isn’t the place for you. The bathrooms door is a piece of glass with large gaps in it.

Hotel was perfectly fine with friendly staff. Location wasn't super close to major tourist areas but were a cheap Uber or 20-30 mins bus ride away. The rooms were interesting. The bathtub was in the middle of the room and only half covered so be careful booking with other people. We got to breakfast close to closing and many food items were out.

We had a great experience at this location! Everyone was friendly and the rooms were very clean. Communication was excellent as we didn't speak the local language but everyone still spoke English for us!

We had a nice stay at this hotel. The service was quite good. They even greeted you with a warm chocolate chip cookie when you checked in. It's not the best location for a tourist, but the metro is nearby and it's a short 10ish minute walk to the Marquis of Pombal square where you can catch different hop on hop off buses. The room was also nice and pretty standard for a Hilton.

  • 4/5 Edgar T. 6 months ago on Google
Rooms are too dark (not a big fan of thr black paint). Doors in the washroom are difficult to navigate, I hit myself few times on the door. The 2 Lara's at the front desk are the best and also Pedro. Breakfast was awesome too.. Thank you too for the 10yrs celebration party.

We had a great stay at this hotel, our first in Lisbon. It is a but of a walk from some more touristy options, but it is definitely doable if you like walking. It is also a quick, cheap Uber to the heart of tourist attractions if you don't. The staff was friendly and professional, the breakfast was great. The decor was very unusual as other reviews have said, but I appreciated that about it. Thanks for the stay!

  • 4/5 Brandon W. 1 year ago on Google
The staff was friendly, breakfast was good too. The rooms were alright, but could have been better. Specifically, they aren't very sound-proofed, and the bathrooms are a little odd. The shower/tub is kind of hard to get in/out of, since you have to step over a fairly high wall that is very slick on the outside.

Great location, clean rooms, cool design (although black is not my fav color), but most importantly the staff and service. Everyone I interacted with, from check in, breakfast, to the bar was professional and friendly all speaking excellent English. Special mention to the seating area outside of the bar with the huge water drop, super modern and pretty. Thanks for the stay.

The room was nice. Bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was good sized. The decor in the hotel is like stepping into a star wars movie though. The lobby looks normal but once you get on the floor with rooms your stepping into a hallway that's a different story. I seriously thought Darth Vader was going to jump out at us. The breakfast was so so. I loved the location of the hotel. It was easy to park and across the street is a mall with a big food court.

We traveled to Lisbon for a few nights from the United States. We found the entire staff to be helpful and accommodating. Andre at the front made sure all of our questions were answered at check in. The breakfast was excellent, and they have a very nice bar area as well. I recommend a room on a higher floor with a terrace for a quieter room. The hotel is out a bit from the tourist center, but the subway system is very walkable and easy to navigate.

Great couples getaway for New Years!!!!!!! This hotel was very extremely nice and the staff was absolutely amazing. This hotel is about 30 minute walk to the main tourist spots or about a 5 minute Uber ride. Our room was so nice and enjoyed the fire works from our balcony. Best of all the main bartender was the end highlight we looked forward to after a night out on the town. Thank you so much for showing us a great time.

Such a fantastic stay. Staff went above and beyond from the very start to the very end. Guilherme greatest us and took the time to mark out the locations to visit on a map and he was spit on, they were excellent. Duarte in the bar was outstanding too, even though we arrived late he made us feel welcome. The food was excellent to, I would rate this more stars if I could. All staff deserve praise for an excellent job so Well done all, Very happy guests here.

Second stay here and I must say I was very satisfied with my choice to come back here, Ana at the front desk was lovely and had us checked in in no time even though we were a bit early. Recognition of Diamond status along with a nice upgrade to a deluxe king and a warm cookie, what more could one ask for! Breakfast was fulling and delicious and the coffee was really good. Location is incredible once you get a hang of the metro system with 3 stations near by its a breeze to navigate Lisbon. Also away from the madness but with lots of locals living in the area you feel like you are in Portugal. Being critical I need to mention I found it a touch noisy having a room facing the road and you can see a bit of wear and tear in some areas but overall its not a deal breaker. This will be my go to place when visiting Lisboa in the future.

Fantastic value for money. I stayed for 3 nights at the DoubleTree to celebrate a friends birthday. The staff go above an beyond for you and welcome you each night with a smile and warmth. I personally loved the dark décor and attention to detail with regard to the modern design. The breakfast is well worth it and a must have as there are many options. The only complaint I have is the lack of a doorman as the doors are not automatic and quite heavy at the entrance. You will also have to push one and pull the next which can be a bit annoying. The room doesn't come with a robe or slippers and there isn't a pool. I would suggest this hotel for folks who are beginning there stay in Lisbon and might spend a lot of time outside of the hotel or even using it as a base for day trips to other cities. Lastly if you are a big fan of the doubletree cookie you might get something you aren't familiar with but it is tasty.

This was an amazing stay. I will be back. It was my 51 birthday and I told no one. When I arrived at room there was a really nice slice of cake and candles in my room. It made me feel really special and brought a tear to my eye. They did not have to do this. Just little perks like this will always keep me at double tree tree..

Good hotel at Hilton standards, close to city center. Room was decent, and window can be opened - which for me is a huge deal. Bathrom and toilet are a bit odd looking - mirrors and black see through glass. Breakfast was very good, lunch and dinner menu is quite basic, but you would want to eat out anyway.

Our welcome was great. We were greeted well and there were lovely custard treats in our room when we arrived- even a handwritten note! Some aspects of the room, however, were left to be desired. For example, the shower was difficult to operate and climb in and out of. Guests with mobility issues would have problems with the shower. The wall to the shower is blocked in a way that demands the user balance and step into the tub without a handrail. This felt quite dangerous. The shower also was lacking in privacy, with the person in the shower visible from the room. While we appreciated the modern look of the features, navigating their use was difficult and often frustrating. The main reason I give a 7 is due to the welcome we received from the lobby staff and the cleanliness of the room.

Usually when you book a Hotel you don’t hear from the Hotel before you check in. In this Hotel it’s quite different. I have never had a better follow up before arriving and it feels like they really care about you. Lovely room, great service, Nice pool , a good size training room both restaurants, shops etc. Great winebar, but the food in the restaurant was good but nothing special. Recommend this Hotel
