I'm really satisfied and impressed from this hotel. Really clean and stuff very concerned about hygiene and covid stuff. Room very clean and cozy (there is also the bidet). The breakfast was also good with different choices and with local products as pasta de natas. Price great. Very close to metro stop and bus stops. From the airport by taxi is about 15 minutes (around 4.5€ by taxi). Next time in Lisbon I'll come back. I recommend this hotel.

Clean. Good facilities Rooms were clean We were welcomed as we entered. Excellent breakfast choices and plenty of seating area. In our booking we had family rooms for 3-4 people. Huge. Clean bedding wardrobe. I would definitely choose Hotel Roma on my next visit.

Not a top location, but a perfectly decent hotel. We were upgraded gratis which is always a nice touch. I think that's because we missed a flight and booked during the evening. All we needed was a bed for the night, so a comfy and clean room was very welcome.

Rooms are basic. Hotel is fine but dated. Hotel is vey clean and we had good views out our window. Room heating worked well. Breakfast buffet is adequate but pretty basic, great bread selection. Hotel is very close to Metro station. Gift shop is rarely open.

Great location, close to the metro - Roma metro entrance is about 200m away. On check in the receptionist upgraded us to a better room free of charge for no other reason that there was a better room available during our stay. Rooms are clean, they were cleaned every day during our stay. Breakfast provided a good selection of cold meats, fruit, breads and cereals etc. Staff were all helpful and friendly from arrival to departure. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again when back in Lisbon.

Good location and nice staff. But the breakfast was very disappointing. Very few options and nothing tasted good. Would not recommend paying for the breakfast. Also the room didn't have any necessary amenities in it. Had to ask for basics but at least the guy at the lobby reception was nice enough to give.

Great hotel. Enjoyed it so much I extended my stay for a further 4 days. Rooms are big, hotel location is amazing as its next to the metro and train station, breakfast is decent but the only bad thing is that there are two elevators that services all 12 floors of the hotel. You can guess that it gets busy very quickly.

Needed to stay here a couple nights before moving to the other property we were staying in for our time in Lisbon. A bit inconvenient they didn't have a double room like we booked, but they made up for it by giving us a suite. This room was nice and spacious, even had a balcony! Bed was a bit hard. Shower wasn't the best -- only had the spray thing and no main shower head. Location isn't the best relative to the main places to visit and see in Lisbon, but it makes up for this by being right next to (<5m) a metro stop.

I recently stayed at Hotel Roma in Lisbon, Portugal, and overall, I had a good experience. The location was convenient for me, as I needed to be close to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel offered all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. However, my check-in experience was marred by a delay of around 20 minutes at midnight due to an unusual request from the guest in front of me. While I understand that such situations can arise, I was disappointed that the hotel didn't seem to allocate enough resources to handle it more efficiently. Despite this issue, I appreciate the effort made by the hotel staff to make my stay comfortable. Overall, I would recommend Hotel Roma for its location, cleanliness, and comfortable rooms, and I hope that the hotel will work to improve its efficiency during check-in to ensure a smoother experience for guests in the future.

Good and functional hotel. Rooms are clean and well- maintained. Located in a predominantly residential area but has fantastic connectivity with metro, bus, and rail links. Great breakfast spread too! Had a lovely 4-night stay here.

Decent hotel in a great location. It's not directly in the heart of Lisbon and the tourist spots but it's not far and has numerous transport links to all over the city all within 5-10 min walk. There's a direct train to Sintra right across the rd (few min walk) and the subway to the downtown/centre area (few min walk) takes less than 20 min. There's also bus and tram spots nearby to other parts of the area. Lots of good restaurants and cafes within a few min walk also (Despensa no 6 - gluten free dedicated bakery with lots of vegan and veg options, 1001 nights Iranian - great food with veg and gluten free options, 3Fs fresh fit food). The hotel room itself was spacious, pretty clean, amazing massive comfy bed. Some bottles of water and a kettle would have been nice. Breakfast buffet was ok, they have gluten free bread (you just can't n use the toaster unless you are ok with cross contamination), muffins, brownies if you ask but limited options for gf and vegan. Overall, decent clean hotel in a good area for a decent price.

Clean, safe, very good breakfast, in general, good services. Its position, close to the Roma metro station (2 minutes) and a railway station (3 minutes), makes it a very best choice for accomodation in Lisbon. Campo Universitaria is in half hour walking distance.

Big hotel, close to the metro and train station. The staff is nice and helpful. The rooms are big, some have a balcony. Breakfast is almost everyday the same, but you can always find something. You can also try to have dinner here. Our experience was good. Not expensive and the food was really tasty. Also the wine selection is quite good. We had a lovely stay

I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent accommodation that the hotel provided. It is an older hotel but is well maintained and managed. Room very comfortable and slept well. Our room even had a balcony with a door you could open and have fresh air. We didn’t have to be in air conditioning. Breakfast was a very varied serve yourself buffet with lots of choice. Though perhaps not if you are expecting Asian fare. But all fresh and great bakery choices too. It only has small lifts so allow yourself a bit of time in peak periods. Really enjoyed my stay.

The only reason I don't give 5 stars, is the fact the fridge doesn't work as expected, because it's connected to a normal outlet that is turned off every time you leave the room.

  • 5/5 George . 10 months ago on Google
This place is close to the airport and you can reach the city center fairly quickly through bus or electric scooter. It’s also close to a fantastic restaurant/ bar called La Clínica that has an open kitchen serving food at 1 AM, which was fantastic for my girlfriend and I because we landed late. The hotel room was nice and had all the amenities you would expect including an HVAC conditioner and mini fridge. The front desk is very friendly. Honestly for the price this hotel is a fantastic deal.

Great hotel with good breakfast options for the price. Comfortable rooms and service. The train to sintra leaves from across the hotel, which is very convenient. The metro stop Roma is very close by, making it easy to go around Lisbon.

Nice Hotel - we were upgraded and the rooms were beautiful and big. Breakfast is upstairs in a big space - not so cozy but all what you would like is there… friendly staff at reception and at breakfast.

IN THIS HOTEL THEY STEAL MONEY!!! I’ve stayed here 23-26 June and between 23 and 24, I’ve got robbed. Somebody from housekeeping took my 800€ from the envelope and put empty envelope back to my backpack… Of course it’s impossible to prove because there is no camera inside the room. Be careful about your money and valuable things!!! Don’t leave them in the room!!! Police will do nothing and they will keep stealing money. It’s not first time in this hotel, you can find other reviews with the same situation. DON’T STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!

I think this has been one of the best hotels I've ever sleep. It felt like sleeping in a cloud, the bed was soft and comfortable, I rest in the most luxurious way. The room was big, the shower was very comfortable, the service spot on. We arrived late but they let us dine anyway. The dinner was buffet, with a lot of different choices, for any taste. The chocolate cake one of the best I've ever eaten. The breakfast was international, there were pastry and bread of any kind (even if I like my croissant a bit more cooked). Eggs were very good, fruit as well. There were also pancake done on the spot. It was a great experience. I totally recommend this hotel for a stay.

What can I say about this hotel? One word, renovate the hotel before accommodating guests. Very dissatisfied with my stay. I booked 2 nights at this hotel. First night was ok. Check-in was fast enough and we were allocated a room on the 1st floor and my friend on 7th floor. There were 2 sets of lifts. The first set of lifts failed on the very night we checked in. The remaining 2 lifts were very heavily used, almost making it impossible to get one. Then the first problem occured during the first night around 11pm when the lights went off for the entire floor. Electrician tried to put it back went off again, and then finally came back after 30 min of back and forth. The next day evening around 6.30pm the same thing happened and we had the electrician come on an out the room for nearly 1 hr. Then finally they found that our rooms ac was causing the line to trip, so they changed our room to 7th floor and said they will send help to move luggage. No one came as expected. Due to all this our dinner plans were ruined. Then finally next day during checkout, we had to wait for around 40 min near the only 2 functioning lifts which as well we're out of order for nearly 20min. There was no way we could take the luggages down 7 floors. Some of the positive points to finish off were the breakfast, the red velvet cake was very good and the variety of fruits. The rooms were quite big with two large beds and clean. On the whole the lifts and electricity cuts ruined our stay here. The 1 star is for the efforts of the staff to make the stay better and the positives I've mentioned. But I feel that the money paid is lost anyway and it hampered our plans to an extent in Lisbon.

I have this 3 stars for the early check in and the nice bag storage guy. I booked this hotel for one night before leaving the city to go outside of town. It is a less busy area then most hotels in the centre. I arrived at 10:30am after a long flight and waiting until just after 1pm to get my room which was nice to check in. It is close to a lot of things such as a place to get your phone set up, grocery store and etc. it is also close to the airport and bus station. Being someone who travels a lot, I wouldn’t say this hotel is “luxury”. I do feel to explain is as such is miss leading. I do see from what I saw online, you can get something better with better amenities and tasteful decor in the rooms. The receptionist I got was nice however when I went back, the receptionists I chat with seemed to be not as personable. I will say the guy that stored my bag was amazing. I would say more consistency of customer service and misleading to say it is a luxury hotel. I hope this helps anyone in the future

Good hotel in this category, clean rooms and most of them are facing the rail road, but the noise is kept low due to double windows, so maybe higher level are better

Pro: 5 min walk from a metro station, but you need 20-25 min to reach the center Comfortable beds Negative: -very old structure especially the bathrooms needs complete renovation -Bare necessities in the room and bathroom -unhelpful staff that refused to call for a taxi to go the airport at 6h00am in the morning, all other hotels in Lisbon and porto do so -looks better on the pictures they post online -doesn’t deserve the price they are taking for what they offer

Gave us free upgrade to larger room. Rooms clean, top beds, good bathroom. Solid breakfast...very good for 3 star standard. Bad no sound proof...could hear wind houling of Storm, neighbours talking...and a lot od guest since they do a lot groups since size od hotel. Near metro. Good Quality price ratio. Recommened

  • 3/5 Pattana L. 4 months ago on Google
The place is cozy and well-maintained. The staffs are friendly. Only about 3-5 min away from Metro. The biggest problem: the thin wall. I can hear whenever the neighboring rooms wake up, talk, close doors, etc. So, if you are a light sleeper and the neighbor wakes up, you wake up.

It was excellent! The staff were very pacient and nice, the rooms had plenty space, and it was overall an amazing experience! I'm really confused as to why the hotel only has 3 stars, it deserves way more!!

Great hotel and a great location. Close to two trains stations. I will write this review from the perspective of a person with a handicapped wife. They offered a easy access bathroom. The entrance for the hotel is a little difficult to use, because the ramp provided is very steep. And if it wet, you will have a serious problem. They have a covid-19 protocol stablished and safety procedures. The breakfast is great. You inform the time you want to go, so they can have enough food and seats ready. Lisboa is not a very handicapped friendly city. The street ramps are a disaster, so be prepared for that. The room is spacious and comfortable. A good place to stay.

It was a a decent size family room with confortable beds and a nice balcony. Breakfast was good and varied and we had a indoor parking place. We had a nice fruit bowl and water upon arriving, However I felt that there should have been a few more things in the bedroom like coffee/tea, water boiler and also room service options. Overall the check-in service was professional. Only 2 elevators which made the morning (breakfast and check out) exit a bit more lengthy.

  • 3/5 Ana Clara N. 1 year ago on Google
Good location if you need to stay close to the subway or to the airport. When I was there, one of the elevators wasn't working so I had a bad experiences waiting 10minutes to be able to go down to the hall.

Perfect for our layover stay before our plane. Comfy room. Special thanks to Luis and his colleague yesterday for their amazing help finding us a room without having any prior booking after midnight and at the best value. Went way above everything in every way. Much appreciated, super professional. Many thanks for our short stay. Cheers!

Brilliant location specially when you're planning to see the SINTRA. The breakfast area need to have salt shaker. They have it in a seasoning 1 bottle only! The TV needs to have hdmi access so guest can watch TV off a laptop.

For the price, this is a pretty good hotel. Really large rooms with balconies and comfy beds. Wifi worked well and check-in was easy. No parking is a little frustrating but we parked 400m down the road in a parking lot for €9.90 per 24hrs. Reception gave us directions.

Decent hotel for one night. 300 metres from metro station. Relatively small but clean room and bathroom with bathtub, comfy bed, fridge, good WiFi. Friendly staff, Free luggage storage. A bit poor breakfast, no tomatoes, summer in Portugal. Incredible!

  • 3/5 Daria K. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is very dated, rooms have bad sound isolation - not only you get woken up at night by a passing by train but also by neighbours steps and opening/closing doors and wardrobes. The internet wasn’t working properly. On the positive - hotel is clean and has a very convenient location.

  • 3/5 Maria Teresa Monteiro M. 1 year ago on Google
This hotel is nothing special. The check in was easy though very slow and didn't seem like the lady knew what she was doing. the room was big and clean. Furniture looks very dated and the beds are not comfortable. The pillows are far too big and stiff. The bathroom felt really cramped and again, very dated. The shower curtain should be replaced by a shower screen as curtains are notoriously known for harbouring all sorts of germs and it clings to you when you're trying to shower. The cleaners in the morning are extremely loud and obnoxious, making noise and knocking on doors really early. The walls must be paper thin as I could hear other guests speaking in the other rooms. Did not try the breakfast. All in all a very mediocre experience and will not stay here again unless I don't have other options.

Room was clean ,dated hotel .nice bar and restaurant but food wouldn't suit everyone.location is good for metro and transport to places and taxi outside of hotel. Plenty of Cafe for snacks but not for dinner.Staff were really nice.

Check in super slow and unfriendly, room super hot and when you open the window to refresh super noisy. Shower hose didn't work. Breakfast OK but Breakfast room looks like a canteen. Location is quite good though

  • 4/5 Naomi S. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely clean hotel. Bed was super comfy and room a great size for a 4 night stay. Easy access to metro/train/buses, and a great selection of restaurants nearby. I also had a complication with my pregnancy and the receptionist on at 3am was so prompt and helpful; he just jumped into action and a taxi was outside within 3 minutes. Breakfast pastries and cakes were spectacular, but there wasn’t a big selection of British foods (only scrambled egg, mushrooms and/or bacon, and small sausages.) Make sure you get to breakfast early whilst the food is still warm and available. Also it would have been nice to have a kettle in my room for a tea in the evening but other than that I really enjoyed my stay and I would definitely come again.

Nightmare at the airport / rentacar caused up to spend a night at a local hotel. Very convenient to airport. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and EXCELLENT breakfast, interesting location right downtown. Nice hotel.

  • 1/5 Alena S. 1 year ago on Google
I ordered a transfer to the airport and paid double price of a taxi, and it didn't showed up. They just returned me money, but I lost 10 min while being in a hurry to the airport. Also the lady at the reception was not nice in general.

  • 3/5 Finbarr B. 1 year ago on Google
The location is brilliant for a visit to Lisbon. 5 minutes to the Metro, 2 minutes to a train station. It needs some updating and a bit of maintenance but the location and staff make up for the small things.

  • 1/5 Leonardo C. 1 year ago on Google
The receptionist had the worst attitude when we arrived as she treated us horribly. Then they were unable to take payment by card which I had used to make the initial booking so then she charged us 105 USD for a 74 Euro booking, and if you check the exchange rate that is completely off. Also on the website it says first time stayers are welcomed with a bottle and fruit which was no where to be seen. All in all worst hotel I've ever stayed at.
