The Poets Inn is a better youth hostel. If this had been made clearer in the advertisements, we would not have been guests. At least the rooms are clean and the receptionist is friendly. Nevertheless, the house is terribly noisy - we have never experienced anything like it - and the other guests are also inconsiderate. Hammering, trampling, shouting, running... We therefore canceled the nights we had paid for and left. No recommendation on our part, no goodwill on the part of the provider. In addition to the noisy guests, the highlight was those selfish idiots who thought they had to cook fish in the communal kitchen, which not only made our closed room stink, but also our clothes took on the smell of fish, as we found out in the next accommodation. There is no peace and quiet in this house.

Great Hostel as a base for exploring the city. Perfect location close to the subway. A small room and bathroom, but clean and tidy. Nice service. Good breakfast. We checked in after 8pm when the service was gone - we had been given instructions on how to get in and pick up the key from the safe. We recommend.

We were two nights in a double room. The receptionist was super nice. Even though we arrived earlier than planned, we could take a shower to pull ourselves together and she made sure that the room was available as soon as possible. She helped us and suggested what to visit. The location is very good: close to downtown. Just downstairs there is a great bakery where to have a great breakfast!

Lovely to stay at this place! Kind staff and great view from the room and shared kitchen/dining area + (no hairdryer but it is okay) Been there 2 times so far and will visit there again šŸ˜

Was very nice and the rooms had AC but could hear everything outside the room hence we woke up to the sound of hoovering or people stomping every morning. Also the shower button was a bit annoying that you had to hold it down to shower. The communal areas were nice though.

Room was clean, had good storage and a nice design. Very nice comon area and very nice terrace. Bathroom in our room was a bit roughed up in some spots and the bed has some plastic protective cover under the sheets that makes annoying sounds when you lay in the bed. Overall a good stay

Really nice hostel with a nice view from the rooftop. Good Location in Lisboa, you can walk easy to the main spots there. Made with Love. Friedly hosts. The only aprovement would be the reagulation of the temperature from the showers. See you next TimešŸ˜Š

There isn't much not to like. We stayed in the family room on the top floor which was spacious and very comfortable. There is a walkout from the room to a large patio area. Just off the room is the bathroom. I was hesitant about staying at a place with a shared bathroom, but had no issues. I found the whole house was kept very clean and the few fellow travellers we saw were super friendly. There are two other outside areas for eating. One is off the kitchen which is stocked with everything you need to put together a meal (pots, pans, cooking utensils). There are 2 large grocery stores 2-3 minutes away as well as some great eating areas. The main tourist square is about a 15-20 minute walk from the property, and a 5-6 minute walk from the subway. We preferred using the Intendente station rather than Anjos as we felt it was easier to get to the property from there. Great WiFi. Would stay here again as it offered great value in a great location.

Great if you like to hear stomping from 4am on that's so loud it wakes up even the deepest sleeper and a bathroom sink with a button you have to repetitively push that won't even stay long enough to wash you hands. Not to mention the shower has a button you have to keep pushing over and over and they don't tell you ahead of time that there are no towels. We had to take a loss to leave after the first night even though we did it the minute reception was open. The lady in front of us was also leaving early and requesting a refund. The only positive was that it was clean.

Nothing poetic. Good location but the room with private bathroom is really worn out, bad smell ( fungus, bad ventilation or smth). Felt like noone had used the room for full year. Not recommending even for 30 eur.

The private bathroom was just bad. We ended up using the shared bathroom instead. The shower in our room was hard to control the temperature, you needed to press the button every 15seconds and low water pressure. In the shared bathroom you did not have any of these problems. The beds are ok but nothing more than that. Around the pillows is a pillowcase that feels plasticy. Room does not get cleaned and you don't have the means to do it yourself. You have to ask for new towels yourself.

Simple hostel but nice and clean and had everything we needed. Two terraces where you could eat and drink and decent sized kitchen. We came in mid march and the weather wasn't great so it was very quiet. The only thing was the showers were not very hot. Everywhere was kept spotless.

Friendly staff and helpful. Lot of stairs, so if you have bad legs, it's not for you. We had our own room and bathroom, everything was clean and nice.

If you are visiting Lisbon, this is the place to stay. It's super clean, really nice aesthetic, and the staff are amazing (Matthew in particular is like having a cool older brother who knows the best spots for everything). The breakfast in the morning was delicious (endless fresh fruit, cereals, toast, cheese, tea, coffee etc) and the communal kitchen is really well stocked. I think this place attracts lovely visitors too - I made friends with people in my room and at breakfast very easily. A real highlight for me on my trip! Thanks team šŸ˜Š

The location is perfect, very close to a stop of the famous tram 28 and in walking distance to the subway/metro station. The staff is very friendly and the (silent but beautiful) Americana music in the background in the reception room made us feel right at home. If jou just want to have a simple, but very clean hostel with a simple, but decent breakfast, this is the place for you!!!

Stayed in a doubles room for a long weekend trip to Lisbon and it was great! Relatively cheap for a private room that is very centrally located. The staff is very kind and helpful and the shared bathrooms are very cleaned (cleaned often as well). It's a bit tricky to find the front door (we arrived after dark). And great location - can walk or bike to almost every point.

Very comfortable. Handy having an elevator when a lot of old buildings in the area don't. Shared bathroom wasn't a problem and very good cleaning standards. Good customer service though only there till 5pm. Not a problem for me. Wasn't the easiest place to find on the map but superb central location.

I had a great stay in the Poets hostel! Me and my friend had the private room with private washroom. The room and washroom are quite small, but still very comfortable and clean. We stayed there in January and the heating worked great! The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is great as well, right next to the stop of tram 28 and a beautiful lookout. It was very easy to walk from there to most things we wanted to see. The only note I would have is that it is not very accessible, in the sense that there are a lot of stairs and no elevator or ramp

We had a wonderful Time at the poets Hostel. It is super clean and everybody is extremely friendly. It is also really well located and the design is pretty cool. We spent a lot of time on the terrace, which has an amazing view. I can highly recommend it!!!
