We stayed at Alma Lusa for our 10 year anniversary. Overall our experience was fabulous, the staff was helpful, accommodating, and very friendly. The front desk helped us locate stamps so we could mail postcards to family, they set reservations for us, and they arranged taxi services. On the day of our arrival, we were surprised with champagne and chocolate cake in our room! The hotel was in the perfect location, outside of the hectic main street, but close enough to all the sites you would want to see. Another perk, the hotel was incredibly quiet, you couldn’t hear any noise from your room. Complementary coffee and water were provided every day and the room was impeccably clean. One of the best amenities they offered was a free cell phone, equipped with minutes to make local or international calls, as well as Google maps to help us navigate the city. You are allowed to use and take the phone for the entire length of your stay. This was INVALUABLE. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again without a doubt.

Loved staying at this hotel! First of all, it’s pretty and quaint and a real boutique hotel. The staff is incredibly polite and helpful, the building is beautiful and even if my room was on the small side (it’s Europe) it had everything I needed and it was spotless clean. Nice shower, comfortable bed with gorgeous linens, turnover in the afternoon - free coffee and mineral water, they really know how to run this place and have an incredible attention to details. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel - which is part of it - is delicious and very pretty too. The location is wonderful, you can walk pretty much everywhere from AlmaLusa - if I go back to Lisbon, I will definitely stay here again. Also the farewell note and gift 🎁 was such a nice touch, thank you for the beautiful stay!

If you’re looking for a clean, elegant, centrally located, and comfortable hotel with accommodating staff and nice bedroom features, this hotel is for you! The attention to detail from the staff blew us away. They went above and beyond, giving us a welcome surprise and a treat on our last night, which we really appreciated, as well as constant recommendations and 24/7 availability. This hotel feels historic yet modern, and also has a great breakfast, which we loved. 10/10 stay!

The hotel is gorgeous. Resteraunt also beautiful. Location could not be better. We were "upgraded" to another room. I don't believe it was the better room. I researched and picked a much larger room on a higher floor. They moved us to the quiet side but the room was half the size. I still paid for the much smaller room. So service was not great.

Lovely hotel. Reception were always helpful and happy. We stayed in a triple room which was spacious and extremely comfortable. Water and coffee in the room and replenished as needed. Breakfast was just right and the made to order eggs were spot on. Good location.

This place is awesome! The staff are so friendly and kind. Everything is really clean and comfortable. Here it is all about the little things like giving you a slice of cake on your first night and leaving you with an gift on the night before you depart. The pillows on the beds are comfortable. They don't seem to cut corners on anything. You get what you pay for here and would 100% book another stay her. I recommend you eat at the Delfina and pay for the breakfast option. Stay here!

We enjoyed our stay here! The location was very convenient if you're visiting the city on foot/without transportation. Breakfast was a nice touch and the rooms were smaller but totally manageable. It smelled a bit like the city (sewer to be exact) and was a bit warm but overall the location/service/quality made it worth it!

I wish I had more stars to give! Excellent stay! Beautiful decoration, great relaxing atmosphere, and 100/100 cleanliness. Location is superb as you can walk to most areas and enjoy the streets of Lisboa. The best thing though is the staff. So kind and helpful! A big thank you! The restaurant , the Delfina is fantastic! Great food, great atmosphere and excellent prices. A huge recommendation to the world for this place!

This hotel is run by friendly, very helpful & considerate staff. The location is walkable to several great areas. The hotel room is spacious, clean, and gives a wonderful flavor of the city. A small restaurant is attached and great for breakfast, room service & relaxing dining. I normally don't take time to leave reviews & this hotel definitely deserves the wonderful review.

We loved everything about this place. It's a modest sized hotel with charming rooms that are both inviting and functional. Special touches abound, the location is perfect, and the hotel staff was warm and couldn't have been more accommodating. We are reluctant to call any single person out because they were all wonderful, but Anna simply must be named. We wouldn't think of going anywhere else in Lisbon.

My husband and I were so well taken care of and had a wonderful time staying at the AlmaLusa. Their staff was attentive, the rooms are so chic, the location couldn't be better, and it's worth going back to Lisbon just for their (included) breakfast buffet!

Beautiful boutique hotel in the historic part of Lisbon. Staff were very friendly and left us a local gift upon check out. Very walkable to good and drink options.

AlmaLusa was the type of hotel experience that you always want…the hotel was beautiful and cute and quaint and wonderful. The front staff was the most accommodating and helpful I’ve ever experienced. The wait staff in the restaurant were so kind and thoughtful and endlessly polite. They left thoughtful gifts and notes in the room, the had complimentary perfume at the front desk…..We would go back…we WILL be going back whenever we get the chance again.

Charming, spotless, boutique hotel right in the square of Baixa/Chiado near the water. Best place to stay if you have a car, since the parking garage is directly in front of the hotel with an elevator outside the front door and parking is discounted. Rooms are updated and beds comfortable, with coffee machine in the room. The bathrooms were updated but very tight to navigate. The hotel provided the most scrumptious chocolate cake on our arrival, and there is a restaurant connected to the hotel that looked fabulous. There are actual keys that you must leave with the front desk, but that was fine with me since I always lose keys. Highly recommend.

Great hotel and location. Service was excellent. Greeted us with fresh cake when we checked in, and nice note and treat when we left. Very clean and centrally located.

Superb service and beautiful boutique hotel! From start to finish I felt cared for—I sprained my ankle prior to arrival and the front desk staff (Rueben especially) went beyond to help me with ice/bags etc. Throughout my stay I was politely welcomed by the tall gentlemen (head of the kitchen?) in the mornings—I apologize for not getting his name. Also wonderfully taken care of/entertained by Anis and Leonardo in the restaurant. The hotels overall attention to detail and sustaining a level of luxury/elegance was divine. Would definitely recommend and return at anytime!

Excellent hotel and helpful staff. We stayed at Alma Lusa for our first four nights in Portugal. The staff helped direct us to great restaurants and sites. The hotel also offers the use of smartphones with 4G, which we found useful for navigating around Lisbon, especially when using public transportation. The staff also helped arrange restaurant reservations. The hotel itself is tucked away from the more tourist-frequented areas of the city but close to one of the main squares, the arch, the riverbank, and the Alfama neighborhood.

Visited AlmaLusa last year during a trip to Lisbon. Usually I stay at a Marriott but I saw AlmaLusa on a few lists and wanted to check it out. Definitely didn't disappoint. Going back this fall with my girlfriend and definitely looking forward to staying here again. Staff: The staff at the hotel was great. Every time you leave the hotel, you have to give them your keys. This sounds like a hassle but everybody at the front is super nice and helpful. Someone is also there all night so never any problem getting back in the hotel room. Had drinks and some bites at the restaurant for breakfast and brunch. The restaurant staff was also super great. Amenities: The only real amenity I remember is the restaurant and the patio. The patio was really amazing. You could just sit outside, drink a Sangria and hangout in the city square. The hotel has a tremendous amount of character and the patio is a big contributor. I really enjoyed just sitting outside at night and enjoying the weather, people. In Lisbon, you should really spend most of your time exploring the city anyways. Rooms: I didn't know what to expect when I stayed here but the room was incredible. Obviously this is a very old hotel but like I mentioned, has a ton of character. Very spacious room with a couch and super comfortable bed. The room overlooked the plaza and it was nice to crack the window at night. One of the best attributes of AlmaLusa was the subtle, tasteful luxury of the hotel. Everything just had such natural character and the hotel room was no different. I think the only aspect I didn't enjoy was water getting all over the bathroom when I showered. But really who cares about that. Location: Location was incredible Just a few blocks from the Pink Street Bahr, Timeout Market, Bairro Alto etc.. Really enjoyed being in the center of Lisbon and being able to walk to the restaurants and attractions I wanted to see. Although the area is super busy in the day, it was never too loud. During the evening, it settled down and was quiet and safe despite being on the street and a main plaza. Was also a super short walk to Patio Lencastre. One of my favorite spots in the city to watch the sun set and grab a beer. Always super lively and can always talk to some interesting locals or non-locals.

Friendly staff, unique decor, a nice restaurant downstairs, and located within walking distance to all of the major attractions. Highly recommended for visiting Lisbon.

My stay here was amazing. From the friendly welcome and happy staff at reception to the room and amenities. Wonderfully decorated with tea/coffee and water refreshed daily. Clean and very cosy. Also the little notes and pleasantries. Nothing was too much. I ate breakfast and had dinner here. Excellent food choices. I would definitely return.

One of best boutique hotels ever! We stayed here last week and could not have made a better choice. The staff was wonderful. Very helpful and welcoming. The location was perfect. This has to be one of the best hotels in Lisbon!

An absolutely beautiful hotel. We loved the location, the design, the breakfast, and the very comfortable bed. Really lovely touches, like leaving a bottle of bubbly and chocolate cake on our first night. The hotel staff was so warm, helpful, and accommodating. We are New Yorkers and the next time we are in Lisbon we will be staying at the AlmaLusa.

Exceptional service, comfortable, spacious and quiet rooms. I've stayed at many hotels in Lisbon over the years and this one is a cut above. The service level was just outstanding. The staff was extremely helpful in planning our trip with suggestions for restaurants, activities, etc. They were attentive throughout our stay. Rooms are very comfortable, well sized and quiet. We stayed 5 nights in one i the Junior Suites and had a very relaxing time (there was one morning that we could hear some construction noise but otherwise it was very very quiet). The location is also perfect. The only downsides are that it is a quite small hotel and there’s no real reception/lobby area if that’s important for you and the buffet at breakfast could be improved (it was good but limited). Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Amazing stay! Comfy, clean 10/10 (daily housekeeping), best spot in town walking distance to most areas, friendly & helpful staff, delicious dinner/lunch at the restaurant Delfina (part of the hotel) - value for money, daily refill of coffees & water with no cost, excellent room & hotel decoration, comfortable bed and rich breakfast. If I go back to Lisbon, I would stay here again ! Great atmosphere with the best staff ! Thank you all for making my travel to Lisbon and stay more beautiful ! The farewell and welcome gift 🎁 was very touchy, kudos to all !

This is maybe my favorite hotel in Europe at which I’ve ever stayed. Spacious, well-designed rooms, thoughtful service, good breakfast, great location tucked away in a plaza. The staff is so kind and helpful. They even dropped off a gift and dessert on my last night.

Excellent location to get to most sites in and near Lisbon. Staff are very friendly and helpful . Everything is neat and well maintained and lot of storage area in the bedroom. Only advise I’d give is make sure you have a picture of the room, we were first given a room that had only a very small window that faced a wall so we switched to one that had two windows to allow for more light, also the bathroom was super small. But it’s Lisbon so you won’t spend too much time in your room:) Restaurant in the hotel was good too - Delfina .

Spacious rooms. The hotel is very close to all the attractions in Lisbon. The staff are amazing and super helpful. Starting from the reception and in the restaurant. Love this hotel and definitely coming back. Pics online don’t do justice to the room size. The shower size is little small but Was manageable. Definitely coming back

My partner and I stayed at the hotel for a quick night in Lisbon after two weeks of road tripping. The hotel is in an amazing location, and the staff is top notch. The staff assisted my partner with finding dinner reservations, and the restaurant was top notch. While we were out, they touched up the room and left a hand written note and gift. They also arranged our COVID tests and airport transfer. Breakfast was great, with an array of fresh Portuguese options.

Solid choice of accommodation. Location is perfect. The staff is exceptionally friendly. Room cleanliness was perfect; I couldn't even get some dust on my finger by running it over the top of some high light fixtures. The elevator broke down/got stuck twice while we were there--one time with people inside. You could hear them ringing the alarm bell. But we got to see the nice, old wooden staircase because of it, I guess. Please note that despite this we still gave it 5 stars.

Picked this hotel and I am so glad I did! Hotel smelled do good right when I walked in, and the tea they served is absolutely delicious. Plus, the rooms are cute and very clean. Plus, the area is excellent and within walking distance of most attractions as well as transportation. In addition, the delfina (the restaurant in the hotel) was also very good, both the service and the food was of superb quality. They are also very thoughtful in giving us a gift as we departed. Loved the soap and the bookmark- thanks again and highly recommend!!!!

My husband had booked this hotel for a birthday treat as I was going to the Opera a few blocks away. The staff were very helpful and friendly, what did hit us when we arrived was the strong mixtures of soap and perfume smells, almost like an old ladies handbag. Very overwhelming. The room was comfortable, and tea and coffees were provided. Nice view. The breakfast was not good very basic with no hot food or even being asked if we wanted any at all, and the girl in the breakfast room was more interested in getting our room number rather than helping. When we had arrived after our theatre night there was no food as the chef had gone home...So no snacks or anything, which was disappointing, to say the least. Even the room service stopped at 10 pm. Felt disappointed actually! And will probably not stay there again. It was a good area though to wander around. Their answer was that we had actually had hot breakfast..which was false...

Great hotel, located right in the heart of the city. Very conveniently located for all the major sights and restaurants, yet positioned on a very quiet square so you're not bothered by the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms were super clean and comfortable, with amazing large beds and clean, crisp linen and sheets. I would highly recommend and would be very happy to stay here again. The reception staff were fantastic, super friendly, super accommodating. They looked after us very well and met all of our needs, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was good, tasty pastries and lots of varieties if meats and eggs etc. All in all, an excellent stay in a wonderful city! Thank you AlmaLusa team for making our stay in Lisbon even more enjoyable.
