I'm usually not spoiled. But in this hotel everything was not good for me! Wait for the first registration, 30 minutes. Old rooms from the 90s. Planes fly outside-noise. Very slow elevator, small and crowded. Each drop down 15 min. The most horrible breakfast I have ever eaten :) Poor, non-renewable. And the highlight was the coffee, you just can not drink it. terrible. And that's even after the machine got stuck twice :) Location far from the center by walking. In conclusion, do not recommend, and wonder where all these "good" reviews came from…

I recently had the misfortune of staying at this hotel, and to say that my experience was disappointing would be an understatement. From the moment we arrived until the time we checked out, the entire stay was marred by a series of unfortunate events that left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied, at least for the most part. We arrived just past midnight and had been arranged rooms with supplementary room service / food services (paid) by a third party, as we did not have the possibility to have dinner yet. However, upon inquiry, the front desk staff told us that (understandably) the restaurant was closed, but also - even though room service was still available - they could not provide us food due to the size of our group (i.e. 5 people). No alternatives or further explanation was given. Given the time and the lack of energy so late, we decided to seek for something in the vicinity of the accommodation instead. We were under the impression that the aforementioned arrangement could be used the day after. The next morning during check-out at the front desk, we were told in a absurdly cold manner by one that goes by the name of 'Irina' that there was no such arrangement to be found nor could it be used. She ignored my remark about the missing hairdryer in one of the bathrooms in its entirety. In response to our kind reminder of the stipulation confirming the existence and applicability hereof in the hotel booking, she merely replied (read: shouted), clearly irritated: 'SHOW ME', but not after rolling her eyes first. Excuse me? This attitude was and is still mind-boggling to me. After she was proven wrong with a lot of effort, she then said that it was too late to make use of any food services, since they had to be requested for the day before, at arrival. Confused, we elaborated that her colleagues at the desk communicated to us explicitly that this was not a possibility. Her response? 'WHAT. WHO SAID THAT? TELL ME HIS NAME. WHO WAS IT.' In front of our eyes, it was far from discrete when she talked bad about us in Portuguese with the person next to her, completely aware that I was still standing there. After the intervention of one of her colleagues, we were offered lunch instead. However, since our time was wasted immensely as a result of this incident, we were merely able take the food with us in order to catch our flight. To add insult to injury, this Irina was swift to interrupt and claimed that the hotel would not provide to-go cutlery or any containers/bags, the reason being that it did not have them. Fortunately and in stark contrast to Irina's outrageously rude behaviour, the restaurant manager and staff (with the exception of an old lady, my guess is that she is the cook) were extremely understanding, sympathetic and patient, offering us containers, bags and cutlery. The fact that we were told that these items were not available in the first place still baffles me. From her inappropriate intonation, her immediate assumption that we were in the wrong, to her going out of her way to not accommodate, it is evident that Irina lacks proper hospitality training and is not equipped to handle such unforeseen situations. She seems indifferent to guest needs and lacks the professionalism one would expect from a reputable hotel. All in all, were it not for the restaurant manager and his staff, one star would be the general verdict. I will think twice when considering Holiday Inn for a business trip going forward.

Great service from the staff, can't fault them at all, efficient, friendly & very helpful. Rooms are very dated, could really do with a big renovation to them, for me far too much dark wood, made it look like it's out-of the 70s Breakfast room was not a relaxing place to be, again put of the 70s, seems to be a theme here but not in anyway retro. Location is OK as a metro line very close with easy links to centre & airport.

Comfortable bed, close to airport and metro to the city. That’s about the end of the good. Staff were very unpleasant, unhelpful and appeared to be not motivated. Rooms are relatively small and fairly dated for a 4 star hotel. Odd smell in the corridors. Bathroom not equipped. Didn’t try the restaurant or fitness facilities, maybe this is where they improve.

I had a delightful stay at this four-star hotel! The room was cozy and quiet, the spacious bathroom was a pleasant surprise, and the breakfast buffet offered a diverse array of delicious options. The staff’s helpful and kind demeanor added to the overall positive experience. The hotel is conveniently located near a metro station with quick connections to the main sights in downtown Lisbon and the airport. Enjoyed staying here very much.

The air conditioner doesn't work. I left it turned on (minimum temperature) for two hours and the temperature barely changed. Also, I stayed from Saturday to Tuesday and the shower and shampoo were never refilled, even after having complained two times.

It was under construction during my stay, but that wasn't too bothersome. There is underground parking on site. The elevators are very tight. The bed was comfortable. The shower had no door or curtain and even if you were being careful, the water spray gets everywhere.

Aoid this hotel if you can, they do not have any sense of service. When I ask for some ice, the man at bar ask me to bring my own glass or bucket because the glass will be missing. The coffee and tea was not refilled during my four nights stay and when I asked, it took me three calls and personally going down to reception to get it after more than one hour. The only advantage is the convenient location but I definitely will never come back.

We stayed at this hotel the last few nights of our Portugal trip. Fortunately, we used points. This is the only reason why I justify to stay in the hotel. As you read through other comments, the hotel is outdated. The elevators did not always work which was not a big deal since I love taking the stairs which is how I found the gym. :) There was not customer service at the front desk. They were not rude but provided basic service. If you asked to fill a water bottle, the answer was you have to buy water. I thought Portugal wanted to reduce plastic and waste? The only time the team at the front desk filled the water bottle is when I shared the gym water dispenser did not work. The GYM...I would not call this a gym. First of all, it is in an unsafe place and hard to find location. I would not feel comfortable working out solo. The equipment did not look like they worked. There were no weights. I would not call this a gym. It is second hand equipment with a water dispenser that does not work. We did eat dinner one night and the food was really good. I would give 5 stars to Vasco. What a wonderful person and so kind! He really was an amazing individual. The card to get into our room had to keep being reset due to the front desk only setting the card active for 24 hours. Does this make sense? We stayed there for four days. There is no shuttle which is surprising for a business hotel.

Had a night here after flight was cancelled. Comfortable night's sleep - room was basic with no milk for tea/coffee but I suspect they'd prepared the rooms quite quickly for our flight. Breakfast looked unappealing, especially the scrambled eggs which were liquid. Average experience.

Overall it was a good experience. The rooms were modern and clean, the staff were polite, reception was efficient. The Lisbon Metro stations were only 5-6 minutes walk. The hotel is close to some cafe's, bars and restaurants and there is a large LIDL store nearby if you need any groceries. The main negatives were that they only supplied one small bottle of water for two guests each day, hot breakfast was limited with most items being repeated daily and the hotel was almost in the direct flight path of Lisbon Airport, so there is a lot of aircraft noise coming into the rooms.

This is a really old hotel, and it should have been degraded to a 3 star at the best. First of all, the employees are very nice. The location is good if you are looking for a night to catch an early flight. The room is outdated, and the bathroom is full of odor (to say it lightly). The shower head does not work and the caulking in the bathroom is full of mold. We stayed at the executive studio and the room size is decent. The water kettle provided in the room is full of gunk (or mold). We dined at the -1 floor which had buffet setup in the middle of the room. The cost of the buffet is pretty high, and the room has a very bad ventilation system. The room is full of chafing fuel fumes, and it made us all felt dizzy.

Great hotel, near the airport. Within walking distance of a metro line, museum, grocery store and pharmacy. Amazingly friendly staff. They even gave me free goodies for my birthday. I can't say enough good things about them. Went above and beyond for me.

Decent hotel, lovely welcome from reception and fast kind service in restaurant, large variety of food for vegans and meat lovers. Freshly squeezed orange juice is to die for. Bed soft and cozy, pillows just right, small bar is a saver if you are to lazy that day to go down to drink coffee, tea. It's peacefull and quiet, except when plane is flying in nearby.

The most pleasant experience, definitely want to come back more. Starting from the front desk agent Irina, and all the employees at the restaurant and bar [Jose and all his bar co-workers] - all are absolutely welcoming people who provided the most touching personal approach and the warmest treatment. Thank you all and hope to see you soon!!!

I stayed in this hotel from 1st-5th October. I got to the hotel a few hours early and the receptionist was kind enough to give me the room that I asked for despite arriving before my check-in time. Special mention to Irina who made this happen. She was very friendly and approachable. I arrived in Lisbon having done a bit of research on what I can do in Lisbon and she was very informative on giving me recommendations on where I can go visit in my 5 days. So special shout out to her for her incredible service!

One of the best hotels we have stayed at. And we have virtually lived in hotels and rental apartments the past year. Wonderful service from the staff from the front desk to the bar servers and housekeeping. And weekend bar mixologist now makes the best drrrrry martini in Lisbon. Nice room with a great bed. And spacious bathroom with one of them low drinking fountains next to the toilet.

Hotel rooms are very small and uncomfortable. We booked room for 3 adults and they gave us sofa bed which was horrible. Mattress was too think to sleep in . Would never recommend this hotel if you want peaceful sleep .

Saying this hotel is modern comes with three very long dots at the end. . . The lobby and dining area, which you see in the pictures of most booking sites are indeed modern and good, but when you look at the rooms, that’s another story. They are clean (so is the hotel generally) but also clearly outdated, the curtains don’t close well, and ours even have some holes that looks like they are from cigarettes? The doors close very hard and make a strong noise, which means you are likely to wake up whenever the neighbours are leaving or arriving. The halls are the same, with old sofas in a couple of corners and some carpets hanging from the wall as decoration. Compare the room to a 25 year old hotel and you will get the feeling. The staff is attentive, polite and friendly, they deserve some points! I’d give it a 3,5 overall.

Amazing and helpful staff. Decent location to everything. A little on the outskirts. The rooms are super dated and ugly. There is some remodeling going on so no ding there. With the amazing staff and the remodel this place will be excellent

Nice hotel with comfortable beds and a very helpful staff. They have a nice bar area with food which we preferred over the basement dinning room.

The rooms are nice and big. There are 3 lifts but the waiting time to catch one is a negative point. The breakfast room is small, crowded and is in a sublevel without windows.

“Very friendly staff and a really good value for money”! Hotel is located in a quiet area of Lisbon. The free parking garage is under the hotel. Various public transport options are within a 10-minute walk of the hotel. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Staff is super friendly and helpful! We find that really striking!

The hotel maybe was cool but a decade ago. Rooms and everything with outdated design, even the suites don't give you any wow-effect. Service is average - i had to ask 3 times to change battery in the safe... why shall I remind about it at all?

Hotel is rated a four star. Let's review each element.... Service: Truly fantastic. The front desk man, upon arrival went out of his way to help and make our stay pleasant. Every staff person was helpful and very friendly. Restaurant: There is a good buffet for dinner featuring fish, poultry, rice, vegetables, salad and desserts as well. Rooms: Two star at best. Very dated and look like they haven't been updated since 1985. Old scratched wood floors, dark wood panels on the walls, old dingy curtains, bedding and furniture is dusty and in bad shape. There is nothing modern here. Location: very residential area with little to walk to. Would recommend booking closer to the shopping and downtown district at a more modern hotel or one of the luxury chains. Overall I was so disappointed with the low quality rooms and dated decor here after traveling a great distance. However the staff was great and went out of their way to make my stay memorable.

I had a great time staying at this hotel. The service was great and I had multiple great conversations with one of the younger bartenders! One thing to note was that the elevators took a very long time to come and it would be difficult having to take our luggage to floor 7. Overall a great place to stay.

Rooms are excellent and well kept . But over all this is not the type of hotel our stag do package should have booked us in. No Pool, bar rarely open and lack of choice. And always a taxi ride to the beach or bars in the city. More useful as couples or on a buisness trip maybe

Great Great Great Hotel. We got it at such a great price too. I couldn't complain about anything! The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the room service for dinner. The dinner was not good at all so we didn't eat any of it. However the breakfast/lunch could still be good

I stay very frequently at the Holiday Inn Continental because is conveniently located very close to the office and I love the comfort of the beds and pillows and the quietness of the rooms. Even thought its right by busy roads the noise does not get to the bedrooms, even with windows open. Finally, staff is very friendly and professional. Special Thanks to Ricardo at the front lobby for going the extra mile in making sure customers are happy !

Airline sent us here after a cancelled flight. We were all exhausted and checked in at 9:30 pm (after being at the airport since 11:30am), were told dinner would be served until 10pm... One guest in our group inquired about the room service and was told there would be a 3 euro fee. They agreed... only to find out the room service # didn’t work. They went back to lobby and were told room service is “temporarily unavailable.” We all went down to dinner and were not presented with any menu or asked any questions about dietary preferences or allergies... They served a bowl of soup without even explaining what it was. It tasted like it came straight from a can... Next they presented “mystery meat” with one piece of steamed broccoli and unseasoned, white rice. It was the closest thing I’ve had to prison food. One member of our group notified them she is a vegetarian - and they removed her plate, only to replace it 15 mins later (after we had all eaten) with a salad... Our actual room had a mini bar that was completely empty despite a small menu with price list; I suspect so the airlines don’t have to pay anything additional... but this means our room did not even have water. This hotel seems to offer a two-tiered system for regular guests and airline guests. Breakfast following morning was similarly awful... completely inedible. Gym is from the 1960s... there’s a bench without a single weight (dumbbell kettlebell barbell etc)... A water tank with no water... and a closet for towels without towels in it... TL;DR: if airline sends you here, you’re going to get the 1-star treatment.

The front desk girls are 5*****. They helped us find a covid testing site, link reservation bookings and answer other questions. I stayed at the intercontinental in Lisbon too, but left because the service didn't justify the price. These girls outperformed the intercontinental. Can't recommend them enough, I would recommend this hotel over the intercontinental, mainly because of the service, thanks so much!!!!

Staff was very nice and accompanying. Was very convenient to be able to park my car in the garage and not to have to worry about it. Bed was very comfortable and had plenty of pillows. Downside was that I asked for a little comb for my hair and I only got it almost at check out time due to the fact the reception didn't had any, and didn't had the keys to the cleaning office. I would recommend to have maybe a stock of necessities available, or maybe the key if needed. But apart from this, was a fantastic stay and I would for sure go back again.

Room service really good. Thank you. Breakfast service doesn't work at all ! Why asking to fill the order if you are not reading it ??? Why there is no breakfast buffet ? Dear Ricardo. Thank you for your prompt response. I wonder if Covid is the reason why we are ordering, writing on paper order, 4 portions and receiving nothing or only one ? With 3 tables occupied no one remember what I have ordered ? What are the written orders for
