Loved the rooms they are spacious even though I booked the standard rooms but they were great and the good thing about the rooms has double doors meaning as you enter by the door there was a small corridor where the washroom is and then you will find the door to enter the room itself so by closing both doors you get the best sound proofing room ever. You can open the windows for extra flow of air. I got the street view and it was fine. Loved the hotel.

I had a small incident with my rental car. Belle man took my car and next day when he brought it, it had a dent on the front passenger side door. I notified the bellman and next day the hotel management called. He declined to take any responsibility for the damages. Not only that management is rude in my opinion. They don’t let you finish your thoughts and always jump in before listening to you.

It was built in 73 smells in the carpets, lack of sound proofing, the hardest bed I ever encountered in a hotel and bad pillows. Barely could sleep and that would be the priority service of a hotel. Nice receptionist, good cleaning, the breakfast staff is strange. The "managers" only smiling when you enter and do not pay attention when leaving, also they took us to the furthest part of the room 2 days in a row while we had a 82 year old lady with us, had to stop them and insist a table closer to the entrance (there were always options), the answer "whatever you want" is either bad English or bad training... On the last day the one with glasses pretended not to hear and just kept us walking....

9/10 would return. The Altis Grand Hotel is a chic, trendy hotel in good proximity to many of the sights of Lisbon. I found the service to be extremely good, but the rooms themselves could use a bit more care. In my room, I did not have a laundry paper, or bag. When I asked, the staff directed me to search through my dresser drawers, rather than to give me a new one. After another search, the paper & bag was not in the room, as I had suspected. Other than this, some colleagues had different complaints that were worse, but I will not post on their behalf. Aside from these issues, I found the food and bars in the restaurant to be top notch. And as I mentioned, service was excellent. A review of Lisbon is out of scope for this review, but I want to add that some working knowledge of the good places to go vs. the bad is quite necessary, as there are some illegal activities going on openly in town.

Great hotel! Good location about 20 minute walk from the centre. Spa is great, you do have to wear a Swimming hat (you can purchase these at the spa for a couple of euros). Room lovely and clean. Only downside is no free tea and coffee in the rooms it is all charged minimum €2! Complementary bottle of water though.

We had a wonderful stay at this Hotel. What stood out to us the most is the people. This hotel has the amazing staff. They were always smiling and willing to lend assistance. Upon entry there is always someone at the door ready to help you. I would rate this 5 star because of the friendly staff.

My stay was rather OK. Wouldn’t rate it as a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was pretty basic. No liquid soap in the room for the hands. Too few power outlets in the rooms. Pool has weird opening times and requires you to wear a hair net. Location is fine close to lots of stuff.

The hotel stay was amazing. Arthur was of great help. He did an absolutely amazing job. Staff was really nice and we even got a nice champagne, because we celebrated our wedding anniversary. Thank you so much!

Wonderful hotel in a great location in Lisbon! The restaurant and catering were top notch, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the conference rooms worked quite well for our needs as a business. Highly recommend.

Good location. Come here for conference, we booked this based on 4 star review, But everything in the room are over 20 years old, the floor has lots of scratches, Strange smell once you walk into the lobby, would rather pay a bit more to book Altis Grand Hotel next door. For this place, you only pay for the location.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and had a fantastic time. The hotel is a great location near Avenida da Liberdade. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful. The breakfast was good, and the spa facilities were modern. The best part about this hotel was the customer service. The staff could not to enough to help. They allowed us to check in early, and even found offered to wash and dry our swimming trunks as they were still wet as we were leaving.

Excellent hotel which is centrally located for easy access to all tourist attractions and metro. The staff are so friendly and courteous - nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay perfect. Immaculate accommodation, great breakfast, superb Bistro and fine dining restaurants. Great spa also. Would highly recommend.

I stayed at the Altis Grand on a business trip and had the best stay. From the moment I arrived, the team were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The bedrooms were clean and fully stocked with everything I needed, huge bed and all the facilities needed for my stay. The food was great with plenty to choose from and the great service continued through the restaurant team. I took advantage of the pool and spa facilities and they were great - not the biggest spa in the world but definitely suitable for someone on a busy trip to just take 30 minutes out of their day. I'm looking forward to returning to the Altis and will definitely stay here again.

Amazing experience, even because of covid, safe and clean! Staff very friendly and kind! I recommend to stay more than one night, so close to amenities and downtown, great views from terrace and food was delicious!

You’re a kid of the 80’es? You like dark wood, appreciate ridiculously outdated furniture and miss the good old times? And at the same time, you don’t want to miss contemporary culinary creations and today’s upscale hotel amenities? Then, the Altis Grand just off the Avenida da Liberdade is the place to be. I can’t wait to be back.

Reception staffs are very friendly and helpful, including showing local store locations, such as supermarkets or drug store. Room service is neat and efficient. Except welcome gift, hotel room does not provide free room coffee, unless requested for fee paid coffee supply. However, Superior Deluxe Room and above do have complimentary afternoon drink and little bites, such as cheese, snack or other. Bathrooms is relatively comfortable with amenities, including tooth brushes and paste but no hair comb. However, shower bath has NO door, and that is relatively unusual for 5-star hotel.

Stayed there several nights as part of an OAT tour. First class operation! The hotel is modern, clean, and the service was excellent. Its central location makes getting around Lisbon easier. Great restaurants both in the hotel and within walking distance.

We stayed here based off the previous reviews but our stay left us wanting to switch hotels. The room: nice, relatively spacious. The bathroom was small, the bathtub didn’t drain. The AC didn’t work well. We were left only 1 robe. They state they have free wifi but the signal is so bad you cant use it. Service: when we arrived, we were notified we had been downgraded from a king room to a queen bed. If we had prior notification, we would have chosen a different hotel and received no discount for the smaller room. We had preordered the custards and port wine, never received them. We were excited for the spa and jacuzzi only to find it relatively outdated and the hot tub lukewarm. Maybe we had a one-off experience but overall we didn’t find the value of the hotel worth staying at compared to many other hotels in Lisbon.

Overall a very unremarkable stay. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, the bed was firm, the decor both in the room and outside is very retro Vegas with a lot of brass, glass, dark halls and carpet. The amenities were nice, the location is great for restaurants and visiting the city. The few negatives was it was extremely expensive for a one night stay, 359 Euro but that is perhaps my poor planning as I only needed a room for one night and this was the only location who had availability. The room faced the side street and this was extremely noisy with traffic, an adjacent club open until 0200, the adjoining room door allowed a lot of sound in from our neighbor, the in room nespresso cost additional 2 euro. Due to our need to check out before breakfast started they also said they could not accommodate any in room coffee or food prior to that. Unfortunately for us it was not a restful night stay.

Very nice and clean hotel. I didn't like the TV was behind the reflective glass. And the size of the TV was small. It made it difficult to watch. It would be great if the hotel had provided iron and comb

One of the best hotels in town. Perfect location, you can reach everything very quickly from there, quiet area, but close to the very centre. Stylish and comfortable rooms, always extremely clean, and very friendly staff. Have a drink at the rooftop bar, it's worth a visit in the summer as well as in winter. It's always a pleasure staying at the Altis.

My stay at the Altis Grand Hotel was truly exceptional. The luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and stunning views made for an unforgettable experience. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, and the hotel's central location allowed for easy exploration of the city. I highly recommend the Altis Grand Hotel for a memorable and indulgent stay.

Stayed at the Altis Grand Hotel with my partner. The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were very attentive. Maria in particular was lovely. Good location, close enough to the main tourist areas but far enough out to be quiet when you need it to be. Bar areas were great for a drink before you head out or a nice night cap befor bed. Spa had more than enough for a nice refresh. Would definitely recommend.

Where do I begin..I booked the hotel for my parents trip to Portugal. It started off with their room not being ready 30min after check in time. The manager on duty was rude even though the hotel was in the wrong. The room was unfortunately not cleaned properly (garbage not emptied, didn’t replace dirty towels with clean). Their housekeeping seemed to be understaffed so I won’t blame them totally. The room was at times left unclean into the late afternoon (3-4pm) even though my parents left the room most of the morning afternoon on tours/sightseeing so they had the opportunity. I am beyond disappointed and surprised that a five star hotel has had so many negatives only 4 days into their trip. The only person who went above and beyond to help and do her best to make up for others downfalls was Maria. Thank you so much Maria for doing all you could to help my parents. They and I truly appreciate it. Unfortunately we would NOT recommend this hotel.

Well located in Lisbon that it has a bit of quiet but not too far to get to the action. Hotel itself is also nice and the staff are very helpful, although there were often very large groups in the hotel and lobby they had enough space and staff to deal with it

We stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful hotel last week and enjoyed our time from check in to check out, the very friendly staff, very clean rooms and spa, good service and excellent location. A wide variety choice of breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel if you are heading to Lisbon.

Hotel is nice and the gym is good. They have gluten free products for breakfast. Do not book the airport transfer from the hotel, you will pay 3 times market price.

Despite the swimming area being under construction at the time of stay, I have nothing bad to say about my experience. The hotel and rooms are very nice and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially Artur. I’ll be sure to book another stay in this hotel again.

The location of the hotel was perfect - everything was so close. Our room AC was making loud noise in the middle of the night and we had to turn it off. One night we called the reception to come and check it out. The guy came and you can’t believe what he told us, he said the noise was from the street and we are mistaking. WORST SERVICE EVER We were there with family and they had issues with the shower faucet which nobody came to look at it.

It was a five star hotel at one point... My room could use a deep cleaning and refresh. The carpet in the room was dirty, dust on many surfaces, a rip in the curtains, and marks on the walls and furnishings. the bathroom is run down too. It does not have the sparkly fresh feeling you expect in a 5 star property. I wouldn't take a bath here. Over all the details in the room are nice, but have not been maintained. The rest of the hotel is okay. Most things look good from afar but when you look closer it has much of the same issues as the rooms. Service was great at check in and breakfast, but I couldn't get service at the roof top bar. I ended up leaving after waiting and waiting. Overall it's a good hotel just not quite in the ranks of a 5-Star hotel.

Great location and friendly staff. While comfortable, the room could have been cleaner (I found several hairs in the drawers and bathroom floor). Room service menu, minibar and breakfast buffet selection are kind of limited for a 5-star hotel. The hotel looks a bit dark and old fashioned inside. The worst thing was the horrible perfume they put in the reception area and elevators!

  • 4/5 Kim G. 2 years ago on Google
Cleanliness of the common areas are not 5 stars. Certain things not refilled as we checked in, missing coffee and price list of items in the minibar. Breakfast is good, decent selection at the buffet, omelette etc cooked on request. The bar and restaurant at the 12th floor has excellent views of the city

The hotel was lovely. Amazingly friendly staff that would do anything for you! From the smell on the corridors to the view in the restaurant on the 12th floor, it was fabulous! The room was perfect - accept for no TV service ;( . I don't mind that at all but my husband really missed it! The location is great for Lisbon, we used uber a lot. Check out the roof top bat for a cocktail and there is a second one of that gets to busy! We ate in both restaurants and had really good meals each time including fab wine! The breakfast is great and again the staff are just amazing every morning. The pool and sauna were good, even if it was indoors! The spa is worth a visit even if the prices are a bit expensive! I couldn't recommend this highly enough after our stay of 1 week! Enjoy it when you get there!

Nice hotel with a good value for the price. We sayed four nights and it is located very central. That is great! Unfortunately the cleanness of the rooms are not really matching five stars. You feel aswell in a lot of details that the hotel is already a bit older and used. I think with a little bit more care the team could make here a better impression. The spa is really nice and inviting! The breakfast offers a lot and is really tasty. The service personal is friendly. In general I think it's a nice hotel but more like my review - four stars.

  • 3/5 Jonathan E. 2 years ago on Google
Granted, you pay the price of a 4-star hotel, but it is just wrong to call yourself a 5-star hotel if you are not. Location is great, staff generally friendly but also very transactional. Room was fine, but not super clean either and you hear a lot of noises from the hallway and other rooms. The breakfast is basic compared to other 5-star (and even 4-star) places I have been to.

We stayed for two nights, good Friday and Holy Saturday. We booked the cheapest room we could, because we technically have three breaks in four weeks and this break was very last minute and at peak travel time, so having spent all our money on flights we budgeted £500 for four nights, two in Lisbon and two in Porto. We requested a bath because I have some rheumatoid issues and like an hours soak in the morning. Normally if a hotel does not have baths in lower end rooms they simply say no and we accept it. The Altis said “they’ll see what they can do”. Upon arrival we were booked into a deluxe room and deluxe it was, with a long corridor, large bathroom great beds, cool tv in a mirror, lots of charging points including a U.K. charge point in the hall and of course that Al, important bath. Lots of toiletries were in the room and the experience was very good. The rooftop bar accessed by the central lifts not the side lifts (you’ll understand if you stay here) is a nice experience with good staff and if you want you can look over the city from the roof terrace. The hotel has a very 70s vibe, that’s not a bad thing and I genuinely cannot fault our experience one bit. So thank you to the incredible staff.

Superior service and great a experience staying in this hotel. Location is superb for exploring the city, with a short distance to the airport. The quality of restaurant and bar is also high.

Me and my friend thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! We received such a nice warm welcome and the staff were always very helpful especially Vanessa, who worked in room service. She was extremely helpful and kind when helping us with what we needed and answered any questions that we had. Overall an amazing stay! Would recommend.

Stayed here before Covid but wanted to leave a review to say how lovely the stay was. Beautiful, central hotel which is short walking distance to practically everything in central Lisbon. We stayed in a junior suite which was spotless as is the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a huge selection of items. The staff are very friendly, generous and accommodating especially to families with children. Lovely pool and gym facilities. I would very highly recommend and hope to return!

Once again I want to say,the staff is so friendly. The crew from the breakfast is amazing. Very friendly and they gave me a very nice feeling as a guest. Its so nice to see how much hospitality they offer. Chapeau!!!

A great hotel centrally located. The rooms are large, well equipped and very clean. The staff are friendly and professional, and their breakfast was very good. Would happily stay there again when in Lisbon

Location is great. Very close to city centre. Service also really good - especially staff at the entrance very helpful with the bags/ car/ parking. Very welcoming each time you come in. Gym in very good condition with many options. Nice spa and indoor pool. Rooms however are not 5* hotel quality - stayed 2x in different rooms - the 2nd time (in the 5th floor) room/bathroom was old and not well kept, and toilet was not flushing properly - considering prices paid its just not good enough.

  • 4/5 Lisa M. 2 years ago on Google
Nice hotel with friendly staff at reception and in the breakfast room. Very child friendly. Breakfast was ok, but the bread was a bit disappointing. The thing that could be improved is the cleanliness and attention to detail in the rooms. The door knobs really need a good clean. Also, the room staff regularly forgot to replenish water or even soap (!), slippers were missing in one room and the remote control in one room had no battery. The hotel staff attended to all the issues. However, I did feel that for a 5 star hotel, the room should be impeccable and the cleaning staff needs to be trained better to pay more attention to the little details.

Our family of 5 had a great experience recently at this hotel - very comfortable, clean and accessible to all the spots we visited. The service was flawless and very helpful! They booked us into adjoining rooms so that we could easily split our party. We would definitely stay here again in future trips to Lisbon.

I stayed there for 8 days. It was amazing and beautiful place to relax. The rooms are clean and good quality, although the hotel is old a little bit. Nice and clean facilities. Very good business lounge. Good reception with comfortable seats. Great team members they are very friendly, helpful and available all the time. I would like to specially thank ms. Patricia santos she was great per To deal with and she helped us allot. Good and delicious restaurant and the breakfast was good. Location is excellent and almost near to any thing and it’s in safe quiet area. If I ever back to portugal 🇵🇹 it will be my first choice to stay in.
