I don’t think I’ve ever had a better check-in / service experience at a hotel than at 1908. André was wonderful — acting genuinely happy to see us, explaining all the city options (he even sends you a custom Google Maps link with all their recommendations and a customized walking tour in each district), and getting us a free welcome drink on the patio while taking our bags up. He made us feel welcome, as well as excited about the city and our stay. Plus, he was always available via WhatsApp with any custom recommendations (like a good Indian food spot). The rest of the staff, from the front desk, to the bar/patio, to the breakfast restaurant was also wonderful our entire stay. I wish the rest of Lisbon was like this, hah! The building and rooms themselves are also fantastic. The building is obviously historical and beautiful, as you can see in the photos — but the inside is completely modern and shiny. Large bedroom, large bed, large shower. Extremely comfortable bed with the softness mattress and pillows, nice waterfall shower, great central air to keep the room as cool as you want it. I loved being on the sunny side of the building, so the large windows would stream light in once the sun came up, and I could go out on the balcony with my tea. Breakfast is on the 1st floor at what is at other times a trendy, nice restaurant. Fantastic local buffet options, as well as typical omelette options that can be ordered. Easy to get around from here, too. On the 28 tram line, but also relatively walkable. We used Uber quite a bit because of the heat, but it’s so cheap. Great African, Indian, and seafood restaurants all close by. 100% would stay here again and recommend it to others.

This boutique hotel experience was exceptional. The decor, the actual building, it’s history and close to the centre of Lisboa. All the staff went above and beyond from the reception to the restaurant and including the bar staff. The breakfasts were excellent, everything was fresh and delicious. Our room, 311 was built over two floors and connected by spiral staircase. We had the curved room with 270 degree views from the four balconies. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Lisboa and close to one of the stops for the famous Tram 28E.

The staff was so nice and welcoming, the hotel is beautiful, our room was clean and comfortable, the building has a great history. Though it's not the most centrally located, it's closer to the airport and there are awesome places to shop, eat, drink and explore nearby.

A five star hotel experience- I feel blessed to have stayed here! From the amazing staff to the thoughtful experiences created it felt like staying at your friends beautiful matriculate home than a hotel. Andre the front desk manager is an absolute all star- I keep thinking that he should be training all hotels front desk staff! He is a rockstar we have friends coming to Lisbon in a few months and are now going to stay at 1908 mostly because of Andre. They created a custom google map for guests to experience the best of locals favorites around Lisbon, delivered a welcome port and dessert, give guests postcards and even add a stamp and mail them for you, the most amazing beds, crisp linens, detailed housekeeping and this doesn’t even cover the food and beverage from the restaurant. We loved the grapefruit cocktails, ask for it spicy for a nice kick!, and the breakfast was stellar. The location was ideal with one of the best plazas to experience- all in all this place made our trip to Lisbon one to remember.

Stayed here for our honeymoon. It's a gorgeous hotel, lovely staff, good location near the centre. The area isn't great but the hotel makes up for it. We had a deluxe avenue room and it was lovely and really comfortable bed. Shower was amazing. The breakfast was also lovely and never had to wait to be seated. We only ate there in the evening once, had starters which were fine. Lovely bar and the service was good too. They allowed us to check in early and even left a bottle of sparkling wine and some custard tarts in our room which was a lovely touch. Will return if we go back to Lisbon ❤️

Outstanding service - the staff couldn’t of been more attentive - from the front of house, to the restaurant staff - they made our stay truly memorable. All the reviews are spot on about the breakfast - its excellent and will fill you up for the day. Great location, great room, great views of the surrounding area. Would recommend to all

Stayed here for a few nights at the end of October. Check in was quick and easy. We got a room upgrade which was a bonus. Rooms were clean spacious and well appointed. We had a good view of the city and the castle Breakfast was a buffet with selection of freshly made food. Was good quality with a wide choice Also ate in the hotel restaurant one evening. We were lucky to get a table booking definitely recommended Close to both Martim Muniz and Intendente tube stations and on the 28e tram route and well connected for buses. 20 mins to the airport and walking distance to the town. The area round the hotel would be best described as up and coming with a diverse selection of local restaurants but plenty of good places to eat Would stay here again

I am very picky when it comes to accommodations when we travel - 1908 blew my expectations out of the water. The location is fantastic, the breakfast was really varied and the staff were so friendly. We had welcome drinks offered to us and we had some treats left in our room for us to enjoy! And the room was BEAUTIFUL and so clean. We absolutely loved our stay and will be recommending it to friends and family. We will be returning to the hotel next time we visit Lisbon!

We stayed in this hotel over new years eve 2022. At first the pros: The location is good and the house the hotel is in is very pretty. The rooms were very clean. The cons: We payed for 3 nights 915 € with breakfast included. Additional we had new year's eve dinner in the restaurant INFAME belonging to the hotel for 120 € per person. So the expectations were quite high. The whole service team was very young and and experienced but very friendly and unfortunately not mindfully as it can be expected in house with such a price tag. The breakfast was OK. But the selection of food was limited for a hotel of that category and every day the same. Regarding the restaurant, we got the impression the chef tries to cook something fancy but unfortunately it wasn't good. Less dishes with better quality and craftsmanship would have been better. The room was nice but the quality of the installations was poor. E.g. the shower door couldn't be closed properly what caused flooding in the bath room. If you get a better price then we did, it is definitely worth to stay in this house. But more than 200 € per night is way to much and overpriced!

Wonderful hotel overlooking a trendy square… a bit far off from the Avenida Liberdade or Chiado but not too far to be a problem… The breakfast is great! They did charge me twice however… but I was refunded for one payment… eventually*

Renovated boutique hotel, located in a trendy area, comfortable rooms. We were greeted with free drinks while waiting and complimentary refreshments in the room. charming staff who go out of their way to meet the needs of the guests and make their stay pleasant. We arrived as a couple for one night with a rented car. The hotel offers free parking, on the street or in the hotel parking lot. At our request, the check-out time was postponed to the evening without additional payment. The restaurant on site is highly recommended.

Absolutely recommend staying at 1908 Lisboa hotel! The rooms were beautiful, clean, and beds comfortable. I had the pleasure of staying here for a week while in town. The breakfast is a great perk that I took advantage of. The hotel staff are friendly and informative. The location is great, I walked most places but also caught taxi’s when needed. The square that the hotel is in is lively, the cares are great and simply closing the windows helped keep any noise out. There is currently construction on one side, so the area is definitely a little noisy but didn’t bother us. Also, the city is full of construction, so not sure noise is avoidable. Highly recommend staying at 1908! It was such a wonderful treat to stay there.

Would definitely recommend staying here as the hotel is beautiful and room was great. We stayed in the king suite and had an elevated 180 degree view which was fantastic. An amazing bathroom had a walk in shower and bath in there which my family loved, plus a separate bed upstairs for my son in his own separate area. The best thing about this hotel are the staff though as they go out of their way to help ensure you make the most of your stay in Lisbon and also throughout the rest of Portugal. Will definitely come back when we visit Lisbon next.

We had more service and better accommodations at 1908 Lisboa Hotel than we have had at 5 star hotels. The management deserves praise for their efforts to make this the best hotel experience possible. The rooms are beautiful, the beds heavenly and we felt cared for and happy here. We will always stay here on our visits to the great city of Lisbon!

This is a great place to stay in Lisbon, well worth the price! The staff is great even when they were clearly very busy. For those who aren’t familiar with the city, it’s a good and convenient location. There were lots of nice touches that made our stay great. I only got to be there one night, but next time I’m around, I’ll definitely be back!

The best part of this hotel is the friendly and helpful staff, by far. They were truly great. The room was clean, modern, and thoughtful, albeit a bit snug. The bathroom was good as well. With the shutters closed, we didn't hear too much street noise but we could hear our upstairs neighbor walking around. The restaurant was surprisingly good. We had to leave early and so they prepared a breakfast box for us! The taste of it wasn't great but I'm not complaining too much. I'd absolutely stay again.

Amazing service! Andre immediately welcomed us with a drink and talked us through an itinerary for our stay. The complimentary phone is great! No more getting lost. For your information, phones are not included in Standard rooms, they are in Superior rooms. 5 star review!

1908 Lisboa Hotel is a fun, funky and affordable hotel with great staff. We stayed for a week and had a wonderful stay. The hotel has great breakfast, a delicious dinner option at the Infame restaurant and a fun bar that gets busy at night. I would recommend staying here because it is centrally located and the hotel employees are helpful and have plenty of great suggestions!

Brilliant hotel! Recently renovated so rooms are great. But it’s the staff that make the difference here, you aren’t just room 105 you are a valued guest and they go well above and beyond to make everything flow perfectly! Would love to stay here again!

1908 Lisboa is a very hip and chic hotel in the heart of a super cool part of Lisboa. We stayed in the most incredible room on the tip of the flatiron-style building that had a panoramic view of the square and the streets. What they have done to renovate the building and bring life back into a formerly glorious design that had been run down is incredible. It was so fun drinking sparkling wine on the balcony overlooking the square. Also the egg tub in the room we had was drool worthy and a dream for tub lovers! Infâme restaurant is also delish and chic. Additionally, breakfast is included and we had some yummy complimentary welcome drinks at the bar, plus a whole sparkling green wine, water, and fruit spread ready for us in our room upon arrival. It was so fun and memorable! The main thing I would say is part of what makes it so cool is that the square is very popular and hip with some of the best bars in Lisboa dotting it, but then this makes the nightlife scene quite crazy! We are young, used to living with city noise, and stay up late so we were fine. But please know that there was a lot of loud, vocal ambience coming from the street bars as well as a guitarist busker absolutely shredding on his guitar for all to hear until about 2am. There were shutters that shut out the noise sufficiently for us when we went to bed at 12:30, but a light sleeper who likes to go to bed early might have found that disruptive. Also the sink was right in front of a window and then the curtain wouldn’t close properly; so the windows of the people across the square were definitely getting a ~view~ when we were using the bathroom. Considering these things, our stay was really great still. Everyone at the front desk was super helpful and accommodating, taking us to our room as well as ordering us taxis and helping me with breakfast when I had to leave early for a flight. Plus, the architecture of the building is *stunning* and it is a great way to get a feel for the part of Lisboa that was built in the early 1900s. Would definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to explore some more nightlife and this area.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! There are so many amazing hotels in Lisbon. We had the worst experience here. The shower door was broken and wouldn’t close from the inside so when you shower water would spray out. We alerted the hotel staff to this problem and they did nothing. My mom fell while exiting the shower because the water on the marble was everywhere. She broke her wrist. When we nicely explained what happened and asked for ice the hotel staff was extremely rude. In the morning we asked where the hospital was. The staff told my mom that her worst wasn’t broken and nothing was wrong. And not to go to the hospital. We went anyway and the hospital confirmed it was broken. The hotel staff should not weigh in on medical conditions that they do not know anything about. Avoid this horrible place! With absolutely horrible staff.

Amazing hotel in an easy-to-reach central location. We had a small room looking at the square. Breakfast was nice and all staff members were friendly and open all the time. Highlight - the house cocktail "Perception" from the bar of the in-house Restaurante "Infame".

SO happy we stayed here. Hotel was gorgeous. Room was spotless, modern w vintage twist, and had the most beautiful sunlight. Staff was extremely helpful s d hospitable. Coming back on the first day to a treat they left was the best surprise. Location is close to all the sights, close to metro, without being in the madness. Close to great restaurants. Couldn’t recommend enough, will be staying here again.

Amazing hotel! Super clean and excellent style. Very close to the city centre. The staff are very helpful, friendly and attentive, offering great local advice and knowledge. The hotel breakfast is top quality and will keep you fuelled up for all them Lisbon hills! We will definitely be back :)

The one star is for the air conditioning in the room (not loud, passive air flow but does a great job!). The service of the hotel and the restaurant, however, is just bad. Long waiting times, unfriendly and unattentive. 1 out of 3 orders were correct (breakfast). Stains on the sheets. Not responsive after complaints. Definitely overpriced (paid more than 250 EUR per night) and overall very bad service experience.

I absolutely loved my stay at 1908 Lisboa. The hotel is beautiful and we ended up spending most of our evenings having a drink in the hotel bar. The staff were friendly and attentive during our stay and I cannot praise them enough. We loved breakfast each morning and the restuarant is great - highly reocmmend the duck croquettes. I would return anytime I visit Lisbon
