Spontaneously
decided
to
book
a
room
for
a
night
via
Hotel
Tonight.
Was
excited
to
be
staying
a
night
at
the
'luxury'
location.
Myself
and
my
girlfriend
arrived
at
midnight.
We
asked
could
we
get
a
drink
at
the
bar
-
"the
bar
is
closed"
we
were
told.
That
was
disappointing.
Surely
if
you
book
to
stay
in
a
top
hotel,
you
should
be
able
to
have
a
drink
at
the
bar?
Especially
people
staying
in
the
hotel?
Especially
people
just
checking
in?
The
person
checking
in
didn't
seem
to
bothered
as
our
shoulders
dropped
and
just
went
on
to
tell
us
how
we
could
have
breakfast
for
17
euros
each.
Can't
complain
about
the
room.
It
was
nice,
and
the
shower
was
amazing.
Except...
the
remote
control
was
not
working
very
well.
It
was
late
so
I
was
not
about
to
call
and
make
a
deal
about
it...
but
when
one
falls
on
a
hotel
bed...
it
is
nice
to
aimlessly
flick
through
the
TV
stations.
The
next
morning
we
called
to
ask
for
a
late
check
out.
The
women
on
the
other
end
said
they
couldn't
because
all
the
rooms
were
booked
etc
etc.
I
didn't
see
how
that
could
make
much
a
difference...
and
after
some
protest
she
agreed
to
30
minutes
extra.
She
spoke
to
me
like
a
strict
school
teacher.
I
asked
her
to
speak
to
me
like
a
person,
and
then
decided
I
may
aswell
highlight
the
issue
about
not
being
able
to
get
a
drink
the
night
prior
and
the
remote
not
working.
(I
was
being
petty
at
this
point...
but
I
was
frustrated
by
the
lack
of
flexibilty
by
the
hotel).
There
was
no
apology,
but
she
did
say
she
would
send
someone
up
to
fix
the
remote.
Me
and
the
gf
went
for
breakfast
next
door
(its
much
cheaper
;-)
)...
and
returned
an
hour
later
to
find
a
handyman
at
the
door.
"I'm
here
to
look
at
the
remote."
I
told
him
to
never-mind.
I
didn't
care
that
much,
but
I
did
think
they
would
just
send
someone
up
to
change
the
remote.
I
didn't
think
it
would
take
an
hour.
Once
back
in
the
room
I
had
a
call
from
the
woman
downstairs
-
asking
if
we
still
wanted
the
remote
looked
at.
At
this
stage
we
had
about
30
minutes
left
in
the
room.
Yes,
I'm
sure
most
of
these
issues
would
annoy
few.
And
perhaps
yes
I
sound
like
that
annoying
customer.
But
having
managed
a
hotel
before...
I
can't
believe
there
is
so
little
interest
in
satisfying
guests.
Had
I
been
in
a
management
position,
I
would
have
offered
a
complimentary
breakfast,
a
discount...
or
at
the
very
least
given
a
warm
apology...
to
stop
this
very
review.
:-)
Oh...
last
point.
There
is
quit
a
nice
pool/
bar.
It
would
be
nice
to
sit
at
in
the
the
morning
and
perhaps
have
a
coffee.
But
its
not
really
set
up
for
that
either.
Shutting
up
now.
