This is a fantastic hotel to stay in the heart of Alfama within a 2 minute walk to a beautiful high rise viewpoint of the whole city, many hole in the wall restaurants and bars and cobbled streets with team lines. Fantastic staff and great facilities and spacious rooms too. Loved this hotel and would definitely stay here in a heartbeat.

Very nice space. Very clean and minimal. Room was light and airy with a great view of Alfama. Liked the efforts for the environment with water saving and recycling. Service was very good, and breakfast was tasty. Close to tram 28. Just be aware of the steep hill to walk up!

The hotel concept is amazing, they care about all details and everything is super clean and well maintained. this place is a treasure, well located and the staff is super friendly The rooms are quite small but as the hotel was a monastery which was renovated, they couldn’t plan bigger rooms I guess. nevertheless this was not an issue for us and we would stay there again

Excellent and very clean hotel! Cheerful and extremely helpful front desk person. I felt so comfort and safe in the place. Very clean room and memories. Location is great in the old neighborhood of Alfama. Lots of waking to be had :) but enjoyable and so close to public transportation (trams, bus). Can’t wait to go back to this place. One things: breakfast is nicely organized and you chose they hand you. Clean and fresh.10 euros - good value.

This is the second time I book this hotel and I hate to give it less than 5 stars because last time was perfect, but it simply lowered its standards and raised its price to an unreasonable extent. 1. The price I paid 2 years ago for 5 days was more than twice lower than the price I paid this season for 6. I would have expected it to keep the same high standards at least, yet... 2. The shower was dripping and the faucet was ruined, they came and kind of fixed it so it could hold out at least our full stay. 3. Breakfast wasn't very varied and options were very restricted, yet I paid 120€ for breakfast for 2. 4. Cost of drinks was out of the question. I know it's a hotel but you can't charge 2€+ for a 160 ml bottle of water. I am so sorry to have written this review, it's a place I always held dear since the last time I booked it. I hope that in the future it can improve its standards to a point they can match the price they charge. On a positive note, the staff was lovely as usual. Special mention to Alice "Linda" (lol) and to Fatima, You did an excellent job.

The staff was helpful. Breakfast was tasty. Our room was small, efficient & very clean. Mini fridge & kettle in room. We had a window that opened and had nice fresh air. Bathroom had everything you need. The only difficulty was our Bolt driver trying to figure how to get to the front door since there is a movable barricade going into the street requiring a code. The streets in this area are not good for people with mobility issues. Very steep hills & rocky. There were several nice restaurants and mini mart near by. Stop for Tram 28 right around the corner.

Unfortunately, we ended our 2 amazing weeks in Portugal with 4 horrible nights here. The hotel turned off their air conditioner, without previous notice to guests, because they determined it’s “Winter time”. When we inquired, we found out there’s no way to control this from rooms. Its 70 degrees Fahrenheit outside in October at 11 p.m.!!! Winter doesn’t start in October anymore!!! We were sweating all night without any fan or any ventilation. The “fan” mode in the a/c was blowing hot air and when we opened the windows there was just horrible noise from vehicles on the street all night. Also, after doing some research, we found out that we paid too much for what this hotel offers. We should add that the rooms are extremely small.

Excellent oasis from the grit that is Lisbon. Patient and helpful staff. Tip of the 🎩 to Rafael, especially. The room was clean and comfortable. So glad this was our landing spot for our three night stay.

Amazing hotel with particularly beautiful, spacious and clean rooms in alfama, lisbon ! It is a 2 floor room with amazing garden ! The location is beautiful but hard to reach by car.

This hotel is wonderful. The location is perfect, the rooms are clean and had everything we needed. The staff were all lovely, really friendly and helpful. The custard tarts at breakfast were a real treat! We booked our trip in Feb 2020, but due to covid we had to move it twice and each time the staff were so helpful and accommodating. It was wonderful to finally make it, and would absolutely love to go back and explore more of Lisbon. Thank you Hotel Convento do Salvador for a truly great stay.

Well located in the Alfama district, only 15 minutes walk from the city centre. The hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean and well equipped with mini fridge, kettle, TV, hairdryer. Our room was comfortable and very compact, my only negative would be that storage space for clothes, suitcases and toiletries is a bit limited. Hotel staff are so helpful and pleasant, and reception is available 24/7. As a mum and daughter travelling together, we felt very safe. There is a pleasant outdoor courtyard area to relax. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great value for a room in.a unique setting. The hotel is a former convent in the eclectic Alfama neighborhood and is within walking distance to trams, restaurants, attractions, and markets.

Excellent hotel for the price and location. Two things bring a wash cloth. First hotel I’ve ever stayed at that did not provide wash clothes with your towels. Two staff was funny some were great others it seemed like we were annoying them by just being there. The location is perfect though close to the fame Line 28 trolley, most of the attractions in the Alfama district. Sorry I didn’t grab any photos. Oh and the courtyard is very sparse and the “pool” is not really a pool. However I would stay here again.

Totally enjoyed my stay here. Everything was just so perfect. Good customer service, Friendly helpful staff. BedRoom is like a cozy little apartment. Comfortable bed. Only wish the hotel had a restaurant. Good thing lots to see and do around. Plus it's very close to the view point. And easy to walk to the Lisbon center. Would definitely want to stay here next time ♥️

This was an amazing hotel to stay in. Kind staff, great location and an easy to walk to lots of sites, but the hotel itself is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Fantastic courtyard, clean, modern rooms, and a really nice breakfast. Get a room on the courtyard side with a large window.

The staff is very kind, thoughtful, and professional. They answered any questions I had and gave me a great dinner recommendation. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Lisbon.

Wonderful location in the old district however not very comfortable X moving. The rooms are small but very clean, wonderful lobby. Better for a family holiday than for a work transfer.

very nice staff, located in the old town, so if you like walking this is a good opportunity. We stayed in May 2023. Hotel was very nice and welcomed us with nice surprises, muy brigado specially to Fatima who replied us with patience :)

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Nice rooms, great staff, the reception area is very nice and they have a cute courtyard where you can chill / have breakfast. The breakfast was really good, great croissants and fresh fruits. The staff did their best to ensure everything was safe and hygienic. The location is great as well and is near the best mirador/ viewpoint in Lisbon! The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or food service but this was not a problem for us.

The kindest and most hospitable staff- Fatima Silva welcomed us after a long journey and it started off our trip in the best way, she was amazing. Breakfast was fresh and the courtyard beautiful. Very clean hotel and walking distance to everything!

Nice and clean. Lovely eating breakfast in the courtyard. Quiet but central to fado district which is my fave in Lisbon. Recommend restaurant casa da tia helena nearby for authentic, and simple but tasty food.

We loved our short stay in the hotel. It's located near many restaurants with Fado music. The service was amazing! Breakfast was excellent! Thank you so much ♥️

Really well kept hotel in the Alfama, very close to the 28 tram. A pleasant stay

Fantastic location in Alfama round the corner from one of the best viewpoints. Plenty of restaurants and Cafés nearby. 10-15 minute walk to downtown. Rooms are clean, staff are helpful and friendly. No frills but has everything you need for a city stay. I had a minor issue with the shower not draining which maintenance fixed quickly. They have single rooms, great for solo travelers. Would stay here again!

Brilliant service overcame a few small issues with the room. A stunning building in an ideal location, but be prepared to climb steep hills with limited property access by road... Not for the mobility limited.

A very good hotel, located in the center of Alfama neighborhood, tram station no. 28 is very close to where you can immediately reach the subway or train stations and from there anywhere. Thank you to the reception staff, who are very kind and solve any problem, very clean and welcoming, grade 10 !!

Oasis of tranquility and peace in rumbling alfama. Very helpful staff, nice conversation after flights were cancelled and we had to change bookings. We highly recomment this hotel! And we will be back! Greetings to the front office staff from Cologne, Germany.

Me and my wife stayed at this hotel. It has a great location, from where its easy to work up and take tuc tucs or the tram. Located next to bars with a great view as well. They gave us champagne and traditional cakes, but didnt remove them when cleaning the room. That was a little weird. Breakfast was quite standard, what I think you will get most places. All in all a very good and plesent stay.

Central location, 24/7 check in available, friendly staff. Rooms were perfectly clean - well stocked on towels, bathrobe and even slippers! Bed was very comfortable. Eventhough it is in the center, you barely hear any noise from outside. Airco was a little confusing, didnt seem to work on demand but opening the window did the same job.

Nice hotel, breakfast - ok, but not super good, so better eat something in the city, located close to the old city centre.

The management extended my hotel voucher (I initially had to cancel due to Covid), so for that I am thankful! For the stay itself, it was extremely pleasant; clean quiet rooms, friendly front staff, yummy breakfast, funky design. Obrigado!
