I have stayed here many times. My favorite hotel. Has a Nice gym and indoor pool, beds are comfortable, brunch is tasty with good variety and and the lounge is perfect for business meetings. Only downsize is the lack of privacy between bathroom and bedrooms (bathroom is a toilet inside a shower niche).

The hotel is pleasant with its contemporary design & decor. I stayed in a room @ 9 th floor and across same corridor is a nice swimming pool & gym. I used the pool & love it. Breakfast was good The room is cosy. It was comfortable enough for me being alone. I opted not let housekeeping in due to COVID & did not use room service so I cannot judge. However, the room was well prepared prior to my check in. Check in & out was smooth & staff were friendly. They do their best to help you with concierge service. The hotel is also equipped with self check in machines for those who elect to use them. Overall nice experience!

2-stars for the sauna, that was a nice touch. Other than that, I was unpleasantly surprised by my time at Evolution - especially after having read all of the rave reviews. I spent 6 nights at Evolution, and never really felt welcome there. The staff wasn’t very hospitable for being in hospitality. They were always very short with me when I had simple questions, or was ordering something from downstairs. At one point, an older gentlemen barked at me to apply hand sanitizer to my hands upon entering, after a day out exploring the town, was very bizarre and off-putting. Another morning, as I was heading out, I made eye contact with another gentleman who works there - gave a head nod and a wave as I was exiting - he just stared at me blankly. I’m not trying to sound particular here, but it’s the little things like that that are quite important in the world of hospitality. The pillows were not particularly comfortable; the AC in the room doesn’t go very low (was often very warm when trying to sleep); the room becomes very humid after taking a shower, so you’re sweating as you get dressed; speaking of, the shower has a mind of it’s own - the water goes from scalding to cold to the level you placed it - back to scalding then cold again, mid-shower; the light fixtures were confusing and poorly executed - I understand they’re trying to be “modern”, but it’s all such a hassle; the location is not particularly convenient if you want to explore the best parts of the city - it’s in a very residential part of town - a 20-30 minute subway from anywhere you’d want to be as a visitor. One morning, an employee who was coming to clean the room just barged in without knocking, as I was in my underwear, it was very awkward. Knock first, perhaps? I believe that’s standard protocol. Anyway, they need to work on their professionalism and I will not be staying here next time I’m in Lisbon.

Loved this hotel, staff were very nice and accommodating. Booked the pool 4 days & only once had another person in pool. Bed was the nicest and most comfortable for sleeping. I got by metro from airport to hotel so easy. Paid extra for breakfast but set me up for the day. As I travelled everywhere by metro found the location great for a solo traveller.

The staff is extremely helpful and polite. Some little things were not working properly in the bathroom / shower. Since I wasn't staying long and it didn't affect the quality of my stay, I decided not to mention it. The breakfast was tasty, fresh and with nice options. If you get a room with a view, it should be above the 5th floor, otherwise you will see only the trees.

I just stayed at Evolution, and it's the real deal! The design is top-notch, the atmosphere is fantastic, and they even have a cool work space. The gym is high-quality, and the staff? They take care of everything. It's my go-to spot for both business and leisure trips. Highly recommend ❤️

Very nice hotel, good location, close to the subway, an area with a lot of restaurants, shops and other services. Hotel is well equiped, the gym and swimming pool are good! Good Cleaning and friendly staff. I liked the design of the room and you get a nice view over the city. The only "flaw" was that sometimes the smell from the bathroom sewage gets into the room, maybe the ventilation doesn't work properly.

Most of the technical features that I had high hopes did not work - etc self check-in that had technical issues. Wireless charging in the room did not work. POD shower and toilet solutions were interesting touch. Service itself was good. Spa pool part was bit worn out and even bit moldy, sauna was MVP and had nice view to the city. Location is pretty good subway is right next to it and has connection to the airport and key areas.

Very nice hotel Bar staff not all trained bartenders but very pleasant Expect some noise in the hallway from your room especially on the 9th floor. Unfortunately the sauna was broken when I visited. Front desk team was very welcoming

Awesome location and friendly staff. There is a DJ playing every night in the Lobby. Atmosphere of the common areas want to make you hangout all day.

I can't rate the hotel rooms, because I never stayed over - the five stars I am giving are for the Evolution's cafe/bar, which is one of my favorite places to visit in Lisbon. Very cozy, with after-work parties with a DJ, nicely designed and with a relaxing feel in the busy business center of Lisbon. Great coffee and they even make their own craft beer, just ask for it at the bar. A bit pricey, though, but as expected due to its location, quality and comfort.

Love this hotel in the heart of Saldanha, slow service at the bar at reception but excellent cocktails with a very good selection. Decent vegetarian options of food too. Nice no fuss rooms. The breakfast is great. Male staff tend to have a wandering eye towards ladies but they all look good so no complaints lol. There’s a coworker space and a DJ in the evening. It’s 50/50 an upscale sophisticated business person vibe and a young person/expat student vibe. I like it. Also the TVs in the room are super HD with tons of channels … only issue is you can’t connect your phone without a HDMI cable

I recently stayed at the evolution hotel. Pros: Nice modern hotel. The location was perfect & walking distance to quite a few things. As a solo traveler I felt safe with the staff, area, and hotel as a whole. I originally booked this hotel because I love to keep the temperature in my home really cold. I had a slight problem with the room. I continued to tell the staff that my AC was not working even after leaving it on all day. After the 4th request I was changed to another room that was better! Cons: The AC doesn’t blow extremely cold but it was okay and I appreciated the customer service. Also, the younger staff in the day time are not as attentive to their guest as the staff in the evening. If you have a healthy lifestyle, the gym is fairly small. The sauna was out of order Overall, the hotel was a good experience but I don’t think I would choose to stay here again. The hotel is not worth the price and SANA has other hotels a little nicer if I’m honest.

Good, modern and clean hotel! Friendly service. Rooms are big and modern. The „tube“-system of toilets and shower is „funny“ but not the best option.

Nice hotel with a very nice trendy deco. Location is top notch, easy access to the metro, airport and so on. Drawback is, pray your neighbours aren't noisy as the isolation isn't that good. Drinks prices are off the roof at the bar: 8EUR for a botthe of beer?? And the room cleaning takes a while and its timeframe is large. Otherwise, I'd recommend this hotel for a short stay!

The service is pretty bad the staff seem very young & inexperienced. At the bar, I waited at least 20 minutes for a caipirinha that was literally a a large glass of ice with maybe 15% an actual drink that was gone in two sips! There’s a kiosk down the street where you get a proper one in less than five minutes, half the price & it’s not just ice in a glass lol.

Did not like: No coffee in the room, you could get it from downstairs but you had to pay. The room was uncomfortable for working and the best places to work in the lobby had to be booked and had a cost. The gym was just passable. Liked: Staff was very friendly and the place was very clean, they have an okay gym.

After a week of traveling through Europe, this was our last stop, and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff was friendly and responsive. We had issues with our AC, and the front desk agent came to help us even though the engineers were gone for the evening. You managed the room through the TV, and our TV was not turning on. Like others said, the toilet situation is a bit odd; you can hear and see others use it. There is a curtain, but it doesn't stop you from hearing it. My favorite part was the gym and sauna. There was a beautiful view looking out into Lisboa, and I fell in love with this view at the sauna! and the gym equipment was clean and up to date! The bartenders downstairs are also lovely and upfront and go above and beyond to make you a good cocktail or ensure you have the perfect glass of wine. The Metro station in front make is convenient, and a few good coffee shops are around. It will take you 20 min to get into old Lisboa or the waterfront.

Very friendly staff and helpful. Had an issue with the door lock of my room. Got immediately another one. The size of the room is confortable and good breakfast. At night the place becomes alive, one can sip a cocktail with lounge music on the back ground. Gym and spa working well with a nice view on the Main Street. The location is great. I’ve enjoyed my stay here a place to come back too with some good deals.

Nice hotel with a walk distance to old city. Hotel is modern and stylish. Sunday evening there was a DJ in a lobby. Young Stuff is extremely nice. We will definitely come back again . Our only problem was with a door, that has to be fixed. Show cabin and toilet are a bit narrow for big men, but this was not my problem

  • 3/5 John B. 1 year ago on Google
It was located close to the metro. The hotel is going for a modern minimalist decor. If you are sharing a room, the toilet stalls are frosted tubes, clear from about 4' up, so no privacy. The open concept one step too far.

The rooms and hotel were super modern. Overall had a good stay but the AC didn’t work well and only on Friday night I could hear music outside until very late. Just note this is not walking distance to the tourist areas but very close to public transportation which is easy to use. Oh also, the bathroom situation would have been really weird had I not been alone. There is little privacy in the rooms. For one person it’s great!

For me it's one of the best hotels in Lisbon. I loved the sheets 😍 ahaha I consider this on my reviews! They was soft and clean! Bathroom clean. The location is great! The staff is very attentive and nice. The bar is very good to drink some cocktails and talk a little. The price is very good comparing with other places.

The room was a little cramped up. Hard to learn the room controls initially. However the staff was very helpful. The main concern we had was the privacy since we were 3 people staying there - the bathroom door was partially transparent.

Staff are amazing, friendly and attentive. However, for the price could be a bit cleaner. Also would be nice to get conditioner, body lotion etc.

Not the best stay I have had in a hotel. The rooms are good size but very basic, not even a kettle. The up beat modest style of the hotel would suit a younger couple looking for something cheap and cheerful. It’s situated a fair way from all the main attractions but not a far scooter ride.

Nice hotel. I don’t give 5 stars because the check in was done by a machine and not by an employee. Thank you .

You must get used to the bathroom setting... probably not for everyone. But the rest was great - a clean, comfortable hotel with a good vibe. Also, the staff is very friendly and gets things done quickly.

I stayed a bit more than a week and I have to admit that it was one of the best experience overall, it’s extremely clean, room service won’t miss a single day and change everything from the towel to a new bottle of water on a daily basis. On the 2nd day, there was some leaking from around the top area of the shower, staff came immediately, checked it and suggested me to change the room for a bigger one. The room itself has everything you need, soundproofed so you won’t hear anything from outside the hotel (tho we can hear people in the room next door). I was often working from the room or the coworking space on the 1st floor. Thank you, I’d def come back

I really liked this hotel. Nice location, friendly staff, clean rooms, and good service. The only main negative is the pod toilet... not ideal if you are sharing a room 😉

I love the vibe at this hotel. It just feels laid-back and very comfortable. Nice sized rooms and I loved all the adjustable features and light setting modes. The lobby is a great place to have a drink or eat. I was really impressed with the food. My only criticisms of the rooms are the air con doesn't appear to be adjustable as it just stays on auto all the time. The room wasn't as soundproofed as I expected. I had to sleep with earplugs in due to traffic sound. But I would happily stay here again. If you plan to do some work in your room the layout is excellent for that too. I recommend a city view room. The location is also fab.

Just stayed three nights at this wonderful hotel. Great location. Amazing staff and service and beautiful room with a lovely view. The metro is literally 20 meters away. The bar downstairs has some very nice cocktails and the staff are super friendly. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

Hotel location is very good - not in the tourist center, but very close to it with excellent connections by bus or subway - you need around 15 min by bus to reach the center. Likewise, it is super connected with Lisbon airport, as the red subway line stops right in front of it (Saldanha station) after some 20 min ride directly from airport terminal. Hotel appearance is very modern - huge lobby space with a bar on ground and mezzanine level. Contrary to that, reception is the smallest one I've ever saw, set in the right corner with two small counters, pretty awkward. Rooms are again very modern and spacious enough - most things you control via a remote control, TV or even with your phone. Comfy bedding and a lap top safe. However, the "bathroom" is absolutely the strangest I've ever seen in hundreds of hotels I've been on all continents. The "bathroom" consists of two identical separated curved shower cabins. In the left cabin is really a shower area, while the right cabin (separated one meter from the other) is a toilet ??!! You get your "privacy" in that toilet only by sliding the half transparent/half matted glass door. Both cabins stand right across (3 meters) from the bed. Very inconvenient and unpleasant even with your closest ones. Another minus for the room is there's no ordinary kettle among many other hi-tech things. Breakfast is superb - plentiful, quality and varied (although exactly the same for 3 days). Fresh ingredients, freshly cooked and replaced when gone, high quality cold cuts and cheese, pastries, fruits,... Pool and gym are an added bonus - on the top floor with a great view and best of all working 24 hrs. We swam at 2 AM after the Guns n Roses concert. The only downside is no bathrobe is provided, so you walk in your clothing from your room. All in all it's a good hotel to stay with those so simple and basic issues, except the bathroom which I consider a big issue. We got the best rate booking directly on their website, much better than on booking platforms.

Great place to stay if you are the type of person who doesn't like sleep. If you prefer not to be woken up several times in the night, try to get a room without a bathroom or toilet because the cistern hisses loudly anytime someone around you flushes. Motorised blinds will also wake you up anytime someone goes in or out of a room near you. If you like the sound of singing at 3am from the bar, you should be fine, but otherwise try to get one of the few rooms on the other side and high up. I tried 2 rooms and they were both the same except the new room was smaller. Spa area was nice though, so I just slept up there as it's open 24 hours.

  • 4/5 Fang M. 1 year ago on Google
Love the location. The room takes a little getting used to because the cool factor kind of runs out after the first couple of mins... once you realise there's little privacy between the toilet, shower and bedroom. After a while of problem solving, you find your way on how to deal with the aroma that flows through the toilet into the bedroom when there's no air ventilation other than through the cylindrical shaped glass slider. Pretty cool that they have a DJ every night playing and a sauna that faces a great view. But for me, it's a little too cool perhaps. We found the hair dryer half dead with a burnt smell upon operation and the broken soap dispenser that leaks soap onto the counter ended up soaping up my phone when I placed it on the counter. But that was eventually resolved. Where this places scores MAJOR points is its location. Its so significant that I'm compelled to bump it up from 2.5 stars to a solid 4. In a beautiful historic city like Lisbon, you'll probably spend most of your time outside anyway... so the impact of a Picasso like room is tolerable. Fabulous location.

Fantastic experience, the location is handy and quite central. The hotel is very well maintained, including pool/gym/sauna. Perfect spot if you travel with a large group

This is a beautiful place located in the heart of Lisbon. Very clean rooms, sadly poor service, not friendly welcome. Could improve a lot with an extra smile from staff members. No porter services either.

  • 4/5 Jordi E. 1 year ago on Google
Pros: 24/7 access allowed to gym and swimming pool, hotel ambient and cleanliness in general is good. Modern Cons: lack of intimacy in the toilette of the rooms if you are not alone in the room.

  • 5/5 Liz D. 1 year ago on Google
We spent two nights at this hotel 🏨 not the kind of place I would have chosen but traveling with a teenager this is where I ended up. Got to say that I really enjoyed the room, oh that shower...👌, we also tried the swimming 🏊🏾‍♀️ pool late one night (well if it's open 24hours...) I don't know if I was just tired at the end of the day but I did had a great night 🌃 sleep. Regarding the location Saldanha metro station is not even a minute away overall it was a great stay so yes I would recommend it.

Located in a convenient location. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast needs to be purchased separately. The room switches are quite fancy and futuristic. Overall, a great place

cold room, inedible breakfast (tainted meat, plastic pastry, not fresh fruits - requested a refund for the remaining days), terrible service (they don't replace towels). our worst experience in a 4-star hotel ever. totally waste of money

A very eclectic and quirky hotel. The pool and sauna on the top floor are lovely. The hotel is in a great location from the city and the airport. Its easy to get a bus or taxi back to the airport and there is a metro stop right outside the hotel to bring you into the city centre. Had a lovely stay last year.

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This web site will compare countless booking web sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in the area. I've been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you won't regret it.

Loved this hotel! The only reason I'm not giving it five-stars is because the restaurant service was extremely slow. Unfortunately, they only had one server. But the room, the view, the pool & sauna, the service, was all great. Depending on what you're in Lisboa for, this may be not be an ideal location. All in all, it's a great hotel and I'd stay here again.

Loved our stay. When I say I looked through hundreds of hotels for our trip to Portugal, I did. This hotel stood out to us the most and I'm glad we choose to stay here. The Hotel and rooms are very clean and the staff are very sweet and helpful. Cleaning staff are trustworthy and water is complementary. The room was very spacious and fit a family of 3 adults perfectly. The gym, pool and sauna are lovely and the location is within walking distance to malls and about a 30min to 1 hour walk to Alfama. Only negative's are the toilet and shower aren't separated by another room and are instead right next to the bed. Which can be unpleasant for obvious reasons. We also had an issue where our rooms right lap didn't work and due to it being a "Smart room", it couldn't be fixed unless the entire rooms computer was worked on. One family member also heard noises from the next rooms over but it didn't greatly effect our sleep. This wasn't a huge issue but still one to bring up. Overall, we loved our time here and would gladly come back here again.
