I stayed there for 3 night and I was well pleased. The rooms are clean and I really liked the size of the bathroom. They also have this thing where you can skip a day of cleaning and get a small coupon for room service which was also very lovely. The breakfast was good but I would have liked a better variety of foods. All in all good experience and a nice place to stay with a great location.

What a disappointment.. Staff was so clumsy and rude, dinner was a disaster. Breakfast times were told wrong at reception so we came down and were too late. Nothing they could do. Such a beautiful place but they don't match the employees. Also on the seventh floor everything is super dark. Housekeeping walked in on us laying in bed, without even knocking! Also there is no safe in the room, what age is this?

It is very central, which is a plus. Hotel as such it is very limited. Point in case, breakfast area, it is very small, one person at at a time can pass from the centre, very uncomfortable. The rooms are quiet small, no fridge, nowhere to put your luggage properly. But the people working there are really good. .

First, the staff here are wonderful, very helpful and very quick with any request, that's the reason I'm giving 2 stars. The hotel premises however are what leave me not wanting to return. To begin my room on the 5th floor and in the back. This meant that basically I had a small window overlooking an alley. This wouldn't be bad if there wasn't a wooden frame that covered the window and wouldn't stay open. The room interior was depressing, lots of brown and the lighting was Paris yellow which meant that regardless of the time of day, you felt as though it was 2am. I asked for an ironing board and iron as well as a kettle for making tea. The kettle was fine but they brought nothing to drink tea with nor any spoon. The ironing board was from the 80's and the fabric was peeling away from board such that I couldn't iron a shirt without a ton of effort. The bathroom in my room always had an odor present, one that smelled of the sewer. The first towel I used after showering had female hair on it. All in all I wasn't happy with my experience. When I return to Lisbon I'll likely take an AirBnB.

Zimmer 801 liegt direkt am Aufzug und ist eigentlich nur für Schwerhörige geeignet. Nachdem wir unser Zimmer reklamiert hatten, bekamen wir sofort und ohne Probleme ein neues Zimmer. Mit dem neuen Zimmer waren wir zufrieden. Frühstück war aus meiner Sicht in Ordnung. Der Kaffee schmeckt aber gar nicht. Personal war sehr freundlich. Vier Sterne gibt es wegen dem guten Preis- Leistungsverhältnis.

Cheap hotel in good location. Room a little too basic with little furniture and small TV. Also 1 electric socket in the room, however reception could provide an extension lead. Walls could do with repainting and carpets need replacing. However friendly staff, good location, hot and powerful shower, and clean.

Room small. Only two electric outlets in a room for three persons. Crew very respectful. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel. Good location, but you'll need transportation to the main center of Lisbon if you do not want to walk 10 or 15 minutes.

Wir waren Ende September mit einer größeren Gruppe dort vor Ort. Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, sehr nahe an der U-Bahn gelegen. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber für einen kurzen Aufenthalt sicherlich ausreichend. Das Frühstück ist schwierig, da es deutlich weniger Plätze als Gäste gibt. Wir mussten teilweise 10-15 min warten, bis uns ein Platz zugewiesen wurde. Die Qualität des Frühstücks war ausreichend, der Kaffee (meiner Meinung nach) schlecht. Insgesamt aber trotzdem ein gutes Hotel für einen Städtetrip nach Lissabon.

Despite being nearly empty we had a great stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the breakfast waitress who was a delight. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel is a 30 minute walk from the old center but well placed for transport links. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay and we wish you well in these difficult economic times. Jill loates

Very good location. Room is comfortable, bathroom is large, and clean. We have the room with " wall view" but it is not problem, because you spent time in room to rest, and that position of room means more quite and shadow. Staff is pleasant. Breackfast is very delicious, with lot of chose. This hotel is much more than 3 stars.

Schöne gepflegte Zimmer. Gute Lage in der Stadt und trotzdem hört man kaum den Verkehr (außer die Polizei etc. fährt vorbei). Frühstücken ist chaotisch, wenn das Hotel voll ist. Die Kellner abends könnten durchaus freundlicher und weniger arrogant sein.

We spent in June 2019 a fiew days there, and the hotel is very recomendable for a city trip! Good district, very near public transport and not so far from the historic centre. The room clean and comfortable (we had backside room), breakfast big variety. Personal very friendly; specially the young receptionist Mr Manuel was very helpfull! Like to come back!

Hi, I am staying in the Astoria Expo as write this review. Firstly, the staff are great. They offer good service and want to make you feel good about your stay. Energetic and polite young people. We like them. Sadly, they don’t have much to work with. The rooms and public areas are very, very tired. The guest rooms were last renovated 30 years ago, from the 90s, and are now clearly aged and abused. (My guess) The cleaners have tried to do a good job, but they have had to use a lot of strong cleaning and disinfectants, such that the guest rooms smell like pubic washrooms. We’ve been in our room for a while and the clean solution smell is still present. Theres potential, but right now it’s just pretty sad.
