This hotel is a shame on every possible level. We came on a Friday evening, and the receptionists were apparently overwhelmed: 15 minutes to do the check-in with a terrible noise made by a large group in the lobby without anybody even asking them to be quieter. Then we get in this small room with windows on the avenue Liberdade. Too bad these windows let the noise come in. All night long we could ear the cars, the sirens and so on. Cherry on the cake, no toilet paper in the room when we got in. We called the reception to notify them: no answer. We went to the reception to ask for it to be corrected: "yeah I will ask someone to bring some while you are visiting the city". When we came back the same night at 11pm, still nothing in the room. We tried calling the reception 10 times, still no answer. I had to go myself to the reception, wait for 10 minutes and explain that I would go nowhere without paper to get some! And finally: the night before leaving we went to the front desk to pay for the room and avoid queueing on Sunday. We paid and the receptionist told us everything was ok. When returning the keys the following day I told his colleague everything was paid for and left. 3 minutes later, here comes the receptionist running behind me in the street saying "come back or I'll call the police"!!! As a matter of fact her colleague forgot to make us pay for one night, but maybe when you do that kind of job you could learn how to be polite. In a nutshell: it is an expensive, not well located and poorly staffed hotel. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Wonderful location on Liberdade a block from Parke Eduardo. Our room had very few outlets, keeping phones charged was a challenge. Probably not the hotels fault, but we were told there was a power issue that contributed to no hot water in the morning to shower. Interesting glass wall (with a screen that could be lowered for privacy) between the room and shower - it did give the room a larger appearance.

Horrendous Hotel Just avoid it. Arrived at 2pm checked in. Came back 3 hours later to a room full of water from the Air Con. Seemed to be going on a lot as the floor was warped from precious water leaks. Offered a new room on the other side of the hotel. Had to take 2 suitcases, 3 back packs a pram and a baby to the room. The shower drain is blocked floods the bathroom floor. Moved to another room on another floor. No helped offered to move the bags. By this time it's been 2 hours with about 6 trips to reception. It's nearly 10pm I have not showered or ate any food. It's close to 1am by the time I get the baby to sleep eat and shower. Next morning the cleaning staff jsut walk into the room while we are asleep. Then I'm woken again and it's a staff member giving me bathrobes, 3 small chocolates, a bottle of water and coloring pencils for my 8 month old baby to choke on. I returned this to the front desk. I'm the offered a free breakfast but it's 10.30am and they stop serving breakfast at 10.30am I ask to speak to the manager and no manager is in until 4pm when I do speak to him he tells me the hotel will not give me a discount on the rooms. Offers me breakfast but we are flying out at 6am at 4am when asking the reception to order a taxi he tells me they are outside. Does not offer to help with the bags.

The location was ideal, and nothing was too far away for me to walk there because the property is pretty good. A short distance from the airport. was outstanding. Gjesten didn't like it since the floor wasn't clean, there were lots of minute pieces, and the bath's emptying process was incredibly slow. The TV was broken. When you first turn it on, it is frozen at the Home Screen. The prices were ranging between 690£ and 940£ per night on the big booking sites, but the cheapest I found was on a smaller site Locktrip for only 155£ per night, and this discount code LMUKR should also still work for, feel free to use.

Cold November evening. I turn the heating to maximum. Doesn't work. I go to reception - with stupid smile they say it doesn't work and all they can offer is a blanket. Windows probably remember times of Salazar - they are so bad you can hear all the music and other sounds from bar downstairs. Forget a good night sleep. And if you wake up in the middle of the night better switch on the light. The rooms are so small you can hurt yourself. One more example that when a city becomes crowded by tourists - quality of service goes down and no one cares. Sad...

Nice common areas. Staff hides in back most of the time and only come out for questions. Most of hotel “closed due to pandemic” but no one wears a mask in the hotel. They offer room service but never answer the phones. Rooms are extremely small. Not recommended for couples or families. Suited well for one guest on a business trip that isn’t going to spend much time in hotel. No complimentary breakfast, $15 fee for breakfast provided by hotel. Wouldn’t return.

I had a great time in lisbon staying at this hotel. The room was very clean and the staff were helpful. The hotel is situated close to a metro and easy to get a bus near the hotel.

I went to this hotel as the first hotel on my Trafalgar Best of Portugal tour. The experience was generally good, a few of the small issues I experienced were getting lost in the hotel building, not many towels and small beds. My Trafalgar tour included breakfast, but if it did not I think it would have been 15€. The servers were nice and the breakfast tasted good, but the coffee tasted burnt and not good. Location was in a high traffic area, lots of things to do. Check-in was easy and normal.

It was unbelievable, I’ve never rated a hotel at zero but here’s what happened . It was hot, and I was told to open the window, there is no air conditioning at this time of year. Well…it opens to a super busy, noisy, crazy traffic street!! So my choice was very noisy all night or hot! Asked for a fan, no fan. Guess they could have moved me to an interior room but wasn’t given the option. Asked for a bill adjustment (paid premium price for the room) again no! Seriously this was a bad experience and our last night before long flight.

Spend one night in this hotel. They put us in a room close to the Avenida. The room itself was ok, but the noise was unbearable. We couldn't sleep all night. In a room so close to one of the main avenues in Lisbon, you expect good noise isolation and conditions. But there were not. Actually, the window's locking system was broken and let the cold December air and the noise in. Terrible experience. With so many hotels in the center of Lisbon, I don't recommend this one.

Dem Hotel merkt man sein Alter an. Die Zimmer sind klein, hellhörig und unpraktisch eingerichtet, die Betten sind schon sehr abgenutzt. Leider waren Ameisen in unserem Zimmer. Einzig die zentrale Lage spricht für das Hotel.

The hotel claims to be a four-star establishment, but its quality is more comparable to a one-star. Internet and TV services were non-functional during my urgent business trip. Despite calling in a technician, the issues remained unresolved. The management appears indifferent; perhaps it's time to consider closing down if they can't maintain the basic services expected of a hotel.

Don't forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. They compare thousands of booking web sites and normally will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you choose this place you for sure will love it I'm sure! The breakfast is great, the hotel has a great location and the service was super friendly!

A very nice hotel. We were well received by the team who let us go to our room 2 hours before check in. The room is nicely decorated and spacious. The breakfast is amazing. We loved the stay.

Well, you start with,we booked that hotel but been moved to another one, which wasn't great I have to say.breakfast was pure disaster,no social distancing whatsoever went to have tea I was told to put on mask, but it's OK to sit by the table and only 50 cm from me there is another table and everyone without any mask coz eating. Stuff rude...food horrible.put us in horrible mood too.cleaning stuff took out key that we left for air con to work, so it's cool when we come back after the shop .which was needed coz outside was 30 degrees. they didn't even leave key on the table, they just took it. Definitely wouldn't go back.

The location is perfect but the rooms were a bit simple compared to the luxery of the hotel. There was not even a port to charge your phone next to the bed.

A solid hotel located right on the Marques roundabout. There was no twin bed room available when we arrived which meant we received a double bed for the first night and were offered one the next morning. The drain was clogged in the first room and the hairdryer in the second room broke after a few days. At one point, we left a card in the room for the electricity and the room service removed this card and took it with them. At the end of our stay, we spoke to the reception and were informed that the card had disappeared and they could not get it back to us. While the card was not important, this is concerning to say the least and disappointing.

The hotel is very well situated on Avenida da Liberdade. It consists of two buildings joined together on the first floor. I stayed in the building not facing Liberdade, which was very quiet and the room had a balcony (without furniture). There is a mini-fridge in the room, which is useful. Wi-Fi very slow and prone to disconnect. The room was clean and had the necessary equipment, even if not very up-to-date as the TV was very small and old and only one easily accessible power socket. The bathroom has a transparent glass wall. Not ideal for families or friends traveling together. The water pressure is poor and the water shifts between too hot and too cold randomly. Staff was friendly, but there was always a line at reception. Breakfast was overpriced at 15€ (with 3€ for a cappuccino or fresh orange juice and 4€ extra for an egg dish). The hotel has no gym. There are many better hotels in Lisbon. I would hesitate to book this one again.

Terrible experience! Rooms are very dirty. There were other people’s hair on the floor. Our bath tub had a drainage problem and there were circles of dirty soap stains after each shower. A maintenance came to fix the issue but left the room dirtier and the problem wasn’t fixed. Each time we came up with our issues to the front desk, instead of trying to solve the issues they were blaming their colleagues in maintenance, housekeeping, etc but helping with absolute nothing. Front desk is not aware that they are guests’ only contact as hotel representatives. After multiple queries, we were offered to change room, where the drainage works, but the new room also had hairs of other people on the floor and towels were dirty as well. Also cigarette smell was entering our room from the ventilation system. Turim Liberdade sounds prestigious, but it is actually disappointing and miserable.

This is definitely one of the worst hotel experiences we ever had. The room was very dirty when we arrived, with other people’s hair on the floor. The bathtub didn’t drain the water, which made it impossible to take a shower. The staff working at the frontdesk were not responsive, except for Carlos. After informing the front desk about these issues (5-6 times!) and being told that they would be taken care of, nothing was resolved when we came back in the evening. Even worse, a mechanic went into the room the fix the drainage, didn’t fix it, and left the bathtub covered in dirt. When we informed the front desk, we got the reply that there was nothing to be done and we had to wait (without a shower after a 12 hour flight) until the next day for the mechanic to return. Carlos then offered kindly to change our room. We had to change our plans to move our belongings (without any help from hotel staff) to the other room. The new room was also dirty, with dirty towels and piles of dust on the floor. The safe in the room was broken, and again, when we informed the reception it was not taken care of. They did not refill the stocks of water in the room, nor toilet paper during cleaning. These are basic services that you expect to find at any hotel, let alone one belonging to a famous luxury chain. I recommend that you do not waste your money at this hotel. The only good thing is the location, and there are many other hotels in the area.

This hotel was the first hotel that we stayed at during our Trafalgar bus tour through Portugal. The tour company picked a very good hotel to start a tour. It was one of the top two of six hotels that we stayed at. Small but nice rooms. Our room was very quiet, probably because it was at the back of the hotel. Nice hotel sitting areas out in the lobbies. Great location. some good restaurants nearby, but the hotel staff was not as informed about other restaurants other than their own. We had the breakfast buffet at the hotel , which was great. It’s set a standard for comparison to the other hotels on our tour. If you are a coffee drinker, beware, all the hotels we visited had coffee machines that would make cappuccino, etc. All of these automated coffee machines made terrible coffee. The best cappuccino coffee I had at all of the hotels I visited, was this hotel. And that was because the first breakfast, the automated coffee machine was broken, and the barista had to make my cappuccino using their fancy coffee machine.

Staff very polite. Rooms ok bit small. Cleanliness ok. Breakfast very average. 4 star hotel and you can't ask for an omelette. There was no choice for lactose free options. Will not go back in this hotel.

This hotel is not worth the money, the rooms are very small, the beds are very hard, if your not facing the city’s street then you will be facing the back ally with the garbage and the windows don’t open, stayed there one night and tried to upgrade to a better and big room and the staff said they were fully booked and that’s never the case, there is always a room or two to spare, we were very disappointed it was not worth the money just because of the location.

Really decent hotel for the price and location! We loved our stay here and enjoyed the atmosphere at the hotel, in the bar, and around the area. The staff were friendly and kind and super helpful. Our room was great and had good amenities available as well. The location is definitely the best part of this hotel though as it's walking distance to everywhere and there are lots of great restaurants and bars around. The only downside is that it was very loud as it's a main road, so if your room is facing the street, you'll hear sirens quite loudly. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

  • 1/5 Marcin M. 1 year ago on Google
It took two room moves to find room with working tv and not overflowing shower. It's worth to mention that there was no WiFi during our stay and it couldn't be fixed. Staff wasn't interested in coming up and dealing with overflowing shower. They send maintenance only after my visit to reception desk. Air conditioning isn't working in November as they say, it is cold enough outside. Rooms are tiny and hard to ventilate without working AC. I would not recommend this place at all, not worth the hassle.

Quality hotel, offered room service and other amenities. The room was clean, not very spacious (2 bed room), and the bathtub is not handicap friendly. Or at least ours was not; entrance to the tub is quite high, you have to really lift your leg when entering and exiting the tub. Other than that, I quite enjoyed the stay at the hotel. Location of the hotel is great, as it is surrounded by restaurants and stores for shopping.

  • 2/5 Niklas D. 1 year ago on Google
As you can tell by the pictures, the room cleaning is very poor. The windows don't close tightly enough, so you constantly hear the loud main road noise. The beds are very hard and you feel the springs in it. Breakfast was okay, but had to ask for a bowl for cereal because they weren't there. All in all it's an old 4-Star Hotel and clearly not much effort is put into it anymore. Would not recommend.

Thé location of this hotel is central- lots of shops and restaurants to dine at. The staff were inconsistent, oddly at the reception one of the gentlemen literally saw us waiting, then continued to talk to his colleague, ignoring us. I had to say ‘hi, good morning’ to interrupt them. Thé restaurant staff during breakfast were spectacular, great service and very friendly. Gréât spread of good. Rooms were a bit small, and there wasn’t much room to move about and there weren’t international plugs. Oh and there’s no gym here!

One of my worst experiences. You can hear almost every car that passes by. Filthy bathroom, and old rooms. The walls are super thin so you can hear almost everything from the corridor. The staff was nice but very unmotivated. They checked me in a room which was occupied and I had to go back down to change the room again. After two days, I could not sleep because of all the noise and wanted to check out earlier. The manager tried to refund me the outstanding amount, but their „finance department“ put a penalty of one night because I was leaving earlier. From the room, I woke up at least 3 times during the night because of noises of the street or other guests from the corridor! I DO NOT RECCOMEND to stay here! It’s not worth it. The second star I am giving is because of the staff that was trying their best to help me get out there..

I arrived to the hotel with my family of 7, the look that we received from the staff did not seem welcoming or friendly I would assume all of them are aware that as Ambassadors of a hotel the first impression says it all… the check in is at 2pm but at 3.20pm one of the rooms was not ready and a second room had a chair full of hairs, I asked the luggage To be taken upstairs to the rooms that were ready 15 m after nothing happened when I asked the front desk if this could be done one of the staff said: I offered you a room ready in a different floor and refuse so now and she kept shaking her arms as if it was my fault. I told her that her behavior was not accepted and I wanted to make a complaint , she said it is not a problem… nevertheless I have a stay of five days and every single moment I realize that this cannot be qualified as 4 star unless for the amazing location, the breakfast quality is poor and to get a sunny side egg you need to 4 euros extra

Perfect location to access Marques de Pombal metro station and go down walking towards historic centre via Av Liberdade. Very nice surrounding neighbourhood. The hotel itself doesn’t have anything special. Rooms are super small which was quite uncomfortable. No amenities other than a bar and seating area.

Rooms were dark, and smaller. Everything was clean. Staff weren't as attentive as they could have been, example: I'm a senior trying to push a heavy bag up stairs, none of them offered to help nor even recommend a hidden elevator. Also 1 morning I was up early in the lobby, they only turned on lights when they saw I was trying to do so. All staff really only speak Portuguese, they don't attempt to speak English at all. The young female front desk staff were the most inattentive. They didn't come out of their room, they acted like they were " doing you a favor", if they answered your questions. They lowered the quality of the hotel. Breakfast was fine, and staff in the kitchen did a good job.

Beautiful hotel. Situated in the main central area. Bus stops and Metro stops or just one minute away. Check in faster easier. All the facilities are available, that one expect from four star hotel. The staff of the hotel was really nice and helpful. I have not used the breakfast so cannot tell you about it. Hotel has its own big lounge area where you can sit , drink and watch television or read a book.

Fancy hotel well located near the metro and in the Lisbon downtown. The shared areas are quite clean, new and good looking. The individual room is very small and only with a small shower. The bed is not really comfy, too much soft that pushes you to the middle of the bed. No sockets next to the bed. The bedroom had a strong smell to cigarette and the floor was dirty and slippery. For a 4 stars hotel, I would expect a better cleaning service and no cigarette smell in a non-smoking bedroom. Because of the cigarette smell I needed to sleep with the window open and since I was facing the interior patio, the noise around the trash cans was constant for the night. The view was, well… Inexistent. The breakfast is good. Too expensive for the quality offered in the bedroom and the cleaning / hygienic services level.

Air Conditioning shut off for the entire building, so only option is to open a window. Room faced a busy (all night) street, therefore got little sleep. Hotel allowed for a room change to a quieter location. However, did not offer or process any credit for the downgraded room. This booking was directly with the hotel and I am a Turim rewards member. Very disappointing.
