We loved our stay at Lisboa Pessoa. the service was exceptional. Expect a welcome drink in the stunning bar on arrival, free restocked mini bar every day and use of the spa facilities. the Room was lovely just what we needed to explore the city and the hotel is in a great location. The service was excellent. One day house-keeping accidentally took our daughters towel, our fault as we had put it with the towels to get changed. We told reception, not expecting to get it back as sometimes laundry gets sent elsewhere, but the next day it was folded beautifully on the bed. Breakfast was brilliant and offered an outstanding continental with some hot options as well. The restaurant design was lovely. The bar stood out as the highlight of the hotel for me. Brilliant service, impeccable wine list and the views were brilliant. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for somewhere upmarket to stay while visiting lisbon.

The hotel facility is lovely, including the spa area and restaurant. Great views of the city from the rooftop restaurant area. That said, this hotel does not guarantee you get what you booked and refuses to work with you to make it right. We booked a "double room with terrace and view" and were given a double room on ground level without a terrace and only a view of the sidewalk. While they did eventually change us to a room with a terrace and view two days into our stay, they never refunded us the rate difference between the rooms, which was €256. So, essentially, we paid for a double room with terrace view for 5 nights and only received the room we booked for 3 of those nights. Like I said, the hotel itself is great, but be warned, you may not receive what you book and they will not do the most basic customer service to make the situation right. We patiently tried to work with the employees at the front desk and emailed the managers, politely asking that they correct the situation and reimburse us the difference in rate between the rooms, and they never did.

The rooms were really clean and modern. Air Conditioning, Mini-Bar (included), and plenty of space. Really enjoyed our welcome drink in the roof top bar. The Spa is small but nice as well. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Location is great. You made our stay extraordinary! Thank you!

I stayed here for a work trip recently and absolutely loved it. The rooms are beautiful decorated, quiet and well cleaned. The staff was always available. The gym and spa are absolutely wonderful and rarely in use. The rooftop restaurant and bar was a great option when you were too tired to look for something external. I would absolutely return. The location is super central so that you rarely had to take a taxi.

We are so happy with our stay here. The hotel is clean, beautiful, and well decorated! The library is quite nice and relaxing. The upcharge for the breakfast buffet is well worth it. There are plenty of options to accommodate everyone. It's very convenient to go to the top floor to have breakfast without having to leave. We got a hot stone massage at the spa and enjoyed it very much. After our massage we took a dip in the pool and spent time in the steam room and sauna. There's also a gym but we did not have a chance to go. It looked well equipped. The staff was friendly and attentive. The location is perfect and walkable to many places. I highly recommend this place and will stay here again!

Amazing location, just perfect. Besides of that there's good breakfast, good wellness, kind people and very nice view on the top of the hotel, but be aware if the breakfast is included or not. Price-quality is perfect. I will come back for sure.

We loved staying here! Great hotel for couples. I don’t think we saw any kids (we were here in September). The location is awesome, very close to good restaurants and a nice 10-15 min walk to a lot of tourist destinations. Things we loved: the luggage guy was so friendly, breakfast buffet was great every morning, mini bar was included in the price and restocked daily, welcome drinks at the rooftop bar the first night, and the spa is lovely. We went to the indoor pool every afternoon during our stay. Great way to disconnect from the city. I would recommend this place for any couple coming to Lisbon. And we’ll stay here again.

Great hotel! Clean, including everything, nothing is missing in it. Perfect location! Very helpful staff, always offering help with a smile, explaining, giving information about the area. Especially Yesoja - he is an angel! In addition, the hotel offers a free tour of the area. It is highly recommended. We will come back again.

Nice hotel in very good location. The room was a little small but very well decorated with comfortable furniture. The bed was not a double - two single beds pushed together. good size but the gap in the middle was annoying. Very clean and well decorated.

Perfect in every way. The Pessoa hotel sits on a quiet street near numerous restaurants and not a far walk to the water, Time Out market, St Jorge’s Castle and the cathedral. We received a welcome drink which we had on the roof terrace (great views) and lunch and Yasoja (who was always smiling and telling us to have a “great day”) put our bags in storage until check in so that we could start exploring the city Our room was clean, mini bar stocked daily at no charge, the beds were comfortable. We did use the Turkish Bath, gym, sauna and steam room. All were very good. All of the staff were very nice and helpful I can’t think of anything negative (regarding the hotel or the location) and would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Lisbon

If you want a wonderful location in the heart of Chiado , close to restaurants, shopping and historic areas this is your place. The people are very welcoming, the rooms are clean though small, oh, and there’s a beautiful view in the breakfast restaurant. There is also a bar with a nice terrace. There’s also a spa with a small wading pool that is great to relax. The only minus is that it is starting to show its age, but still it’s very nice and comfortable. Prices can vary widely during the year.

We stayed at Lisboa Pessoa for 3 nights as part of our city trip to Lisbon. We arrived a few hours before check in time however the hotel staff were kind enough to allow us to store our luggage until our room was ready. The location of the hotel is perfect as it’s very central and close to a lot of the sightseeing locations. The rooms were really clean and had everything we needed. The spa facilities were really good, perfect after a long day in the city! Special mention to Yasoja who was always willing to help with anything during our stay. He went above and beyond to ensure any little issues we had were resolved.

Truly enjoyed my stay here. Nice location, clean and spacious rooms, loved the marble bathroom! Breakfast was yummy with a buffet style set up. Items in the minibar are complimentary and each guest receives a welcome drink at the rooftop bar. Beautiful views of the City. Last but not least such friendly staff especially Yasoja who really made me feel welcomed from day 1 to checkout.

I love this hotel! We stayed here for our final two nights in our Portugal trip and we had the best time. Everything was absolutely perfect- amazing location, stylish modern design, splendid spa, and beautiful communal spaces like the library and the rooftop restaurant/ bar with the best views of Lisbon! To make it even better we were greeted with a welcome drink, a discount voucher for the restaurant, and a complementary stocked mini fridge that was replenished daily. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, and they even let us check out later in the afternoon since our flight left in the evening. We couldn't ask for a better experience and it was a great value for money. I would recommend it to anyone who ever comes to Lisbon. Thank you!

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel, the hotel is in the centre of Lisbon, 5 mins walk to Rossio Metro station, very convenient, it has lots of restaurants nearby, all are very good, the room we had was in level 0 and it was actually level with the ground floor of the outside street, if we open the curtain we can actually see the people walking outside, but it is a side street so it wasn’t very busy and it was actually quite quiet. Everything in the min bar from the room is free, and we are very pleased about it, together with the spa (indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room) it was just really lovely, there isn’t many hotels in the centre of Lisbon which has a spa and indoor pool so We are glad that we found Lisboa Pessoa !! The hotel offers welcome drinks to us in its rooftop lounge which is very nice, breakfast is delicious with reasonable range of food, one drawback of our room is it’s a bit small, but we could have upgraded it when we made the reservation but we didn’t, so if you wanted a bigger room, worth to have an upgrade which might even enhance your stay in this hotel. Overall this hotel is very good, everything is nice, clean staff are friendly.

It was a pleasure to spend 4 nights at Pessoa Hotel. Great service and lovely staff. Central location makes it easy to walk around the city, and it also offers the best views from the rooftop terrace. Breakfasts were really nice. You could choose from inside or outside sitting. Many thanks to our host Mr Pauli Rodrigues for the excellent service. Looking forward to stay in this hotel sometime soon.

Best location in Lisbon. Near everything. Best class service. If Yasoja is working, please ask him for recommendations. He’s been such a great employee and help throughout our stay here.

Excellent location in the heart of Old Lisboa. The room asigned was a little small but adequate for a location in the old city. The view was the feet of people walking outside the hotel. The service was excellent.

This was one of the places we stayed in Lisbon. This was also the place we stored our car for the whole time in the city... You can rent a parking spot from them without being an actual guest of the hotel. Rooms are very nice. Great location right in the Chiado/Barrio Alto neighborhoods. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a great stay here.. centrally located. Easy, less than 5 minute walk from the train station. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant and bar area served great food and drinks. We ate breakfast and dinner there. Everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay!

Small friendly place with spa. The spa lady was very nice and helpful. The room I had had a faulty toilet but they fixed it. For the inconvenience, they left me some bubbly and brownies. Room was small but had everything I needed. Cute built in bench.

The staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming, they are what make the stay perfect. The rooms have air Conditioning, Mini-Bar (included), a nice bathroom and are very quiet. They also have a beautiful rooftop bar, we would stay here again! We had a great stay. Thank you!

The stay was extremely pleasant. The staff at the reception desk was welcoming and extremely helpful. They got the suitcases to the room for us, lift them to the car when we left for airport, hand written recommendations for food, helped with taking photos. I would highly recommend staying here during your stay.

A fabulous hotel. Could not fault it. First time in Lisbon, and I was going to be boring and book the Hilton, but thankfully, I liked the look of this hotel, so I decided to book. Great location, friendly staff, and a fair rate. Room was loverly, great bathroom and free mini bar, modern decor (note no USB so print a plug). Good TV. Lovely little touches, such as a welcome gift that was loverly. Hotel Spa was great. I felt like a posh Kensington dig down. Had the pool to myself and no children ruining the atmosphere. We were even given welcome to drinks to enjoy in the rooftop bar. Very much enjoyed the Gin and Tonic. Would highly recommend and would be my first choice when in Lisbon again.

Lovely place to stay during your trip to Lisbon! The location is perfect - most of the things you need to see are a couple of minutes away from the hotel. Stuff is extremly friendly and helpfull, rooms are nice, batrhrooms could be a bit more modern but thats the only small downfall. Besides of that you also get a stunning view from the rooftop restaurant and a very nice spa and wellness center with sauna, steam room and small but beautiful swimming pool. Definetly worth considering if you are looking a place to stay in town.

A chic, delightful and inviting hotel. Located in a trendy area and replete with elegant amenities. I loved the spa and the indoor pool which was intimately designed. While the hotel lobby is small, it is a charming introduction to the elegance and sophistication that lies within the hotel, as evident in its rooms, hallways, rooftop terrace etc. Moreover, the staff were absolutely wonderful, especially a gentleman named Yasoja who was extraordinarily helpful and gracious! Restaurants, public squares, cafes, shopping areas are all within walking distance. Uber service is abundantly accessible. Overall, I Totally recommend this gem of a hotel for anyone visiting Lisbon.

We had a great stay at the Lisboa Pessoa Hotel. It was our delayed honeymoon trip and we were lucky enough to be greeted with a bottle of champagne and delicious brownies. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. We had a room with a view which was a cute window with a window seat and table. Our room was very clean, only thing we didn't love about the room was the hard/carpet like flooring that continued into the bathroom, otherwise a really great room with a ton of closet storage. The free refilled mini bar (water, soda and little snacks) was a really nice bonus. We opted to get the breakfast buffet and I'm glad we did! As someone who hates buffets, this was one of the nicest ones with a ton of options, you can even ask to have an omelette made fresh for you if you want to skip the scrambled eggs. They had a great assortment of fruit, yogurt, baked goods, coffee, teas and granolas. Each morning you eat on the top floor with a fantastic view of the city. We had dinner at the rooftop restaurant one night as well and while it was the most expensive meal we had in Lisbon the food was very good and the convenience was unbeatable. Theres also a really great restaurant right across the street from the hotel for easy/quick dining as well. Overall a really nice hotel in a great location with great staff :)

We had the best stay at Lisboa Pessoa hotel. It was my second visit there, and am every time amazed by the quality to price ratio, service, and time spent. It is also very convenient having the available car park right in the city centre. The second time spent there was what will assure us that we will definitely return - as the hospitality shown by Yasoja brings life to the hotel. His kindness, top-quality service, and attentiveness to make every guests stay special to make you 'feel like home' was a real pleasure for us. Thank you Yasoja for your incredible service, we look forward to coming back soon 👏🏼

Modern hotel and amenities in a romantic 19th century building. Hotel staff went above and beyond service wise in helping us arrange our time in Lisbon. Central location close to shopping restaurants and main train station. Would definitely book again.

Well, I never write reviews but I had a massage I wasn’t staying at the hotel, and unfortunately the experience wasn’t great at all. The staff is wonderful, the facilities of the hotel as well, but this hot stone massage was by far the worst... Firstly, yes, I was sunburned on my SHOULDERS so fair enough that I was a bit more sensitive to the heat on this zone, I knew that. HOWEVER I ended up with being burned for an hour, on my lower back especially, and my legs, were I wasn’t sunburned at all. I have a mark, as a nice souvenir I guess. For an hour straight, the massage was rough, I was being burned and the man massaging me wasn’t careful at all to make a nice and relaxing atmosphere around me. As I am a bit shy, I do not speak up a lot, and I’m sorry to have said that the massage was ok. It was not. I however said several times that I was in pain because it was burning me, the excuse? Your skin is too dry, and your sunburned. Once again, not my whole body was sunburned, and the mark I have on my back due to a stone too hot is real, and super painful. Anyways, I regret having paying for that, and I regret not having had the balls to speak up. Never again. However, great staff, greets to the man at the entrance especially.

Great hotel in the heart of Lisbon. Despite being in the centre, the hotel was very quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good, reasonably priced breakfast. Nice spa. Good views from roof terrace

Amazing location! Amazing friendly staff. I was really surprised about the Portuguese staff in the reception they were so kind all the time. Our room was cute wasn’t luxurious but it had new fresh thick towels everyday and slippers. Spa is private which is awesome. Pool fits 6 people at the time you need to book 30 mins or 1 hour.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. We had daily room cleanings with replacement of linens and free water daily(rare post pandemic). The location cannot be beat. Close to all the attractions and right next to a metro stop. Also next to a lot of restaurants and museums. I didn’t try the breakfast but I did spend a lot of time on the roof. Stunning views of Lisbon and the rooftop is opened 24/7. Palo was very kind waiter upstairs and made our night memorable!

10 out of 10. Location 10, rooms 10 and most importantly, service 10. Obviously some things are better than others but that is inevitable. Problem on arrival since the agency that sold us the room made a mistake. Immediately the lady at reception put all the means at her disposal (and she had few since the Hotel was "full") to solve the problem and solved it with the best results. It is worth mentioning her name (Miss Sophia) to send her sincere congratulations and a huge grateful for her kindness and professionalism. Undoubtedly mention the Maitre of the Restaurant. Incredibly friendly and very professional too. Rest of the staff all very attentive and up to par. It is essential to dine on the roof top with breathtaking views of the city. Food quality, extraordinary and impeccable served. Days before we were in a Hotel of the same group in Évora (Évora Olivé) and unfortunately we had to write a very negative review. We hope that the Olivé staff take note of their Pessoa teammates ...

Had a great 3 night stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The view from the roof top bar is amazing and also can be enjoyed while indulging in there amazing breakfast buffet. It’s location is perfect, nice and quiet but also just walking distance from most things. An added bonus was that they surprised me with a bottle of bubbles and some cake for my birthday which was a lovely gesture. I would Highly recommended this hotel for anyone visiting Lisbon.

Beautiful hotel in great location. The receptionist was amazing, giving us lots of advise where to go and eat and did an outstanding job. The spa area is nice, however it was full of noisy children swimming, jumping and diving. It was not the relaxing experience we were hoping for. So I guess it’s the perfect spa hotel if you travel with kids though.

  • 4/5 Jake L. 2 years ago on Google
We had a lovely stay and the staff were very nice. Our only criticism was that the spa was not the relaxing experience that we hoped for. We were made to pay 6 euros by a man who was working at the spa for a swimming cap and he was very blunt and rude. We do not think when you paying a lot of money for a spa hotel that these costs should be added on without warning. Also there were far too many children splashing in the pool and a lot of misbehaved children throughout the hotel at breakfast. But that's the parents fault! Aside from that a lovely stay with a comfy bed and good breakfast in brilliant location

  • 5/5 Cathy P. 2 years ago on Google
This was one of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The food was excellent, the beds and pillows were extra comfy and the staff were lovely. On Valentines Day we had an incredible dinner in the rooftop restaurant which was embellished by the presentation of a Pessoa poem and a red rose, along with pink champagne. We were sorry that such a dinner did not allow us do justice to the breakfast buffet, perfectly presented and featuring excellent pastries, made on the premises. Fruits, juices, delicious yoghurts, cheeses, charcuterie, breads and drinks were plentiful and delicious.

We stayed 2 nights here, which we will never forget. The staff was very friendly and room is big enough for us and so clean. We were able to enjoy welcome drinks at 5th floor bar with a balcony where we were surprised at the breathtaking view of the city with sunsets. You should have breakfast at the hotel because you can eat at bar at 5th floor with splendid view. We had to leave hotel prior to the start of breakfast due to early flight. We asked staff if they could prepare the breakfast box or not 1 day before the check out, and they kindly prepared them at the time of check out! It was super great stay in Lisbon. We will come again when we come to Lisbon in the future.

I loved our 4 night stay at this hotel. Very clean and nice rooms. Love the roof top bar and their food’s quality. The best for when you are tired and just need to relax and enjoy your food an view. It’s far from the busy crazy center of the city and has a nice breakfast view. Highly recommended

Nice and quiet hotel in a great and convenient location. Comfy bed and affordable price. I have two small complaints: 1. The light switch set up in the room doesn't make sense and it's annoying to figure out what switches turn on/off what lights. 2. The bathroom sink, while it looks nice, is flat. The water doesn't really totally drain. These are modest complaints. Everything else was great and I enjoyed my stay!

Great location in the middle of Lisbon, super easy to get around. Amazing breakfast and possibility to have a drink or dinner with a view from the rooftop. Spa will just make your stay better. It won’t disappoint you!

Staying at the Lisboa Pessoa was one of our favorite parts about Lisbon. We stayed for our honeymoon and they provided a complimentary bottle of champagne and desserts our first night. The staff (front desk, housekeeping, bar/restaurant) were kind and helpful. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city with endless possibilities to explore right out the door. The room was extremely clean and cozy. Finally, the rooftop bar…wow. What a treat! We loved having drinks out there each night to kick off our evenings. Would highly recommend!

We stayed in this Hotel end of June of this year and our stay was excellent ! Everything was just perfect but there was one person on the staff that made our stay exceptional . Daniel. Daniel was the highlight of the entire stay, always greeting us with a big, warm , genuine smile making us feel like we were at home. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for us to make our stay comfortable. He is the one person I will always remember when I think of the Portuguese people.

Superb staff, lovely accommodations. Even got a really nice surprise for my birthday! Would go again in a heartbeat... Only a bit disappointed by the food at the restaurant. We didn't had the breakfast there but we did eat at the restaurant on the 5th floor one evening and we've had better food for less money than we had there. Not that it was bad or something...just expected more of it somehow...

Very hotel in the heart of Lisbon. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We chose this quality hotel to have a central HQ with A/C and service. It is clean, comfortable and quiet. You can find great restaurants et interesting shopping very close by.

Well situated I really appreciated this hotel. The only negative point is the fact the doors slam so hard when you forget to hold it. I can tell you that too many people forget to hold it to close it softly. I used the spa it was a great experience. The view from the roof top is wonderful. I really appreciated the music in the lounge at the restaurant level. I liked the fact that the restaurant is accessible inside the hotel.

Problems with the shower and thermostat. They did give us a bottle of champagne as a courtesy but I would have rather a nice shower and not be boiling all night. Paid a lot of money for this place and expected better. My recommendation is to just go for another hotel, plenary around and no reason to pay double here.

Charming, quaint, beautiful and clean. The rooms with the julliet balconybare stunning. The view onto the street not so great but imagine the ones on the top floor. The restaurant view is amazing and excellent spot for drinks. The turkish bath was also a nice touch. Rooms are bit small especially the shower, but then again it fits the purpose. Location is excellent near everything, especially nightlife and touristy spots.

We had an amazing stay at Lisboa Pessoa. The spa was quiet and well run, I also booked a massage and it was one of the best I’ve had. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Yasoja made us feel so welcome and was always ready to help us, no matter the time of day. He really is an asset to the hotel. Will definitely be returning.

The hotel staff (particularly Yasoja and Fernando) did an awesome job to create a calming atmosphere from the moment we arrived (crucial after a long day of travel to get to Lisbon from the US). Our time there was brief but each time we popped into the lobby Yasoja was there with a smile and recommendations (he seemed to be there around the clock!). The hotel was located in a cool area with plenty of restaurants nearby, would highly recommend.
