All in all we had a good stay here. Our room had a nice view. We had supper in the hotel and it was just so so. Breakfast offer a good selection. The people that worked there were friendly and happy to answer questions. We were pretty well located near good shopping. The beds were comfortable and I was happy to have a bathtub. Lisbon is a very beautiful city with loads of colourfully tiled buildings, lots to look at and photograph.

Made the reservation through Booking and it said “pay at property”. 3 times they (HF Fénix Lisboa) canceled my reservation because I didn’t pay in advance through they website. When I realized I paid them in advance, my credit card was charged and thought everything was fine. I mistakenly booked for one day earlier, which was fine because it was my mistake (I called them and told them I would arrive a day after) but because I didn’t arrive they first day of my reservation they cancelled it without telling me. The receptionist were really rude about my situation and told me that they never charged me, that it was Booking but in my credit card statement it clearly said “HF Fénix”. Overall the hotel is ok but all the trouble they made me go through + the rudeness of the staff I give them 1 star.

Central location was the only positive Rooms are small as compared to other European hotels. Had to ask front desk to fix the shower three times before it got fixed. Cleaning is not good despite telling the front desk to clean the shower area nicely. Saw some dirt/gunk in the shower area and also some fungus/mold at the edges of the bathroom walls

HF Fenix Lisboa 4* The 4 stars hotel without regular duvet covers, towels, hard beds, super contrast shower from extreme warm to cold water and iconic iron. We booked this hotel by really big mistake, because HF Fenix Lisboa, HF Fenix Garden and HF Fenix Music is not the same hotels, even they are laying at the same spot. About our stay at HF Fenix: Well we really still can’t understand that it’s 4 stars hotel. After long journey we decided to take a chill and relax on our bed. The first thing we discovered was, that our duvet is just packed in 2 big bed sheets and duvet is completely open on sides. We contacted the reception and asked them to fix our duvet with normal duvet cover, since it’s not so hygienic for us to sleep without duvet cover that is completely open and can touch the skin. Short time after we got cleaning staff at our room and the lady had some language issues to understand what we need, after back and forward she took our duvet and went to sew it. We got back the duvet cover that is to small and still completely open, but now only on one side. We diced to go down to reception and showed them the pictures, just to confirm that the our problem is still not solved and it shouldn’t look this way. But it was not so much help to get and given up. Shower is like nightmare with unstable water temperature. First you get ok temperature, but after some minutes starts the rollercoaster, you going to feel your skin burns, and after is going to be ice cold. In the middle of our stay we came back to our hotel room after long and warm day outside. Time to take a nightmare shower! Well, we didn’t get the new towels from cleaning staff. Calling reception and asking them for new bath towels and they tell us that…. THEY DON’T HAVE ANY BIG TOWELS for today! We got some small hands towels to dry whole body. The next day is the same problem: We came to our hotel room after long city sightseeing at 30*C outside and been thinking to take a shower, but still no towels and we got the same answer from reception…. WE DON’T HAVE ANY BIG TOWELS TODAY EITHER. Hotel staff sounds very arrogant on the way they talked to us, it was no apologies,no excuses. Only big plus in this hotel is location (2 min walk to subway and 10 min to the city centre). But does it worth to sleep in hard bed without bed cover, burn your skin in shower, no big towels and rude staff is up to you. Thanks for us HF Fenix, see you NEWER!

Only positive is the breakfast buffet staff, super positive and friendly. Shower water runs a brownish color. There was constant noise from construction work durüng our stay and reception was ignorant about it. The hotel is old and needs restoration. The carpets smell too

This hotel is exactly what one would expect from a mid-range corporate lodging. it is a pleasant yet unremarkable mid-range hotel located in central Lisbon though not in the very heart of the tourist part of town. Its close to the metro and there are numerous shops and restaurants located in the neighborhood. If you're feeling up to it its about a mile, maybe mile and a half walk to the old town but it leads through a very pleasant, tree lined surroundings of the Avenida da Libertdade. Hotel is clean, front desk staff are helpful. There is a nice buffet breakfast.

For 4 star hotel and the price we paid for the room, the mattress was to hard and the pillow very very cheap. We stayed 3 nights and it was impossible to sleep. However the location was very good.

The hotel is centrally located by Marquês de Pombal with the metro station on the doorstep and lots of amenities nearby. However, the hotel itself is quite dated, and I’m not sure I’d call this a 4 star hotel, given its tired and aging decor. This was most evident in the room, which was a lot smaller than expected and the bathroom wasn’t much to write home about either. The staff were friendly enough and the room was cleaned daily but there are certainly no frills here. Overall, it’s a decent option for a short stay but based on my experience, there are better hotels in Lisbon for a similar price.

It's a four star hotel so everything is as you would expect. Plenty of lifts. Lots of choice for breakfast. Hot food bit Limited for vegetarian but I understand not a lot can be done. Staff are friendly but it helps you know bit of Portuguese. Only negative would be size of the room. It's small. It's big enough to hold a double bed and bit of walking area round it. Token single chair which only blocked the walking space in the room. In the evening in the restaurant, it was bit short staffed. Forgot to mention. Big plus. Best location. Subways Station opposite the hotel and Hop-on bus stop on the left. Most fashionable road within walking distance of the hotel.

I told them many times to change the room of my mother it is not comfortable to live in or stay in because the bed is very bad and my mother she had a disk problem in his neck and back they didn’t help me !! I told them that i will file a complaint to the managers they told me. The hotel is perfect for a family holiday, located right in front of Marquês de Pombal. Metro, bus stops, hop on hop off tours starting point, just located within 1-2 mins walking distance. Rooms were good size and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was also very helpful and cordial. We didn't have any food or breakfast at the hotel, but rather at the McDonald's just next door!

This hotel is centrally located. Can catch a bus or a tube nearby. Also has few convenience stores and restaurants nearby. We also caught the hop on hop off bus from right opposite the hotel. Walking distance is about 15 minutes to the main shopping area and seaside. Hotel staff were helpful and gave us the rooms of our choice. They also managed to let us check in earlier then the usual time. Hotel was clean and had water and tea making facilities in the rooms. They also provided an iron on request. Breakfast was also pretty good, but I would expect a little more variation. I recommend staying in this hotel due to location and competitive price mark compared to other local hotels.

Almost impossible to get an iron. I had to wait 2 days. They have a waiting list for it. Fridge in our room wasn't working. Breakfast needs more variety. Good location.

giving a room to a guest where construction workers constantly dig the floor by the room window from morning until seven pm is unacceptable and very amatourish. The room and the tub needs restoration. Breakfast and the waiters were very friendly.

the location is great, right next to the metro with many busses for easy access into the city. we got there a bit early and managed to get an early check in. there was free water and tea and bathrobes. the breakfast buffet was very nice. the lighting fixtures of the room was very comfortable. it was a bit warm sometimes even though we went in the winter.

STAY AWAY! The hotel has LOUSY service. Upon arrival we were greeted by a receptionist who informed us that we would have to pay a city tax, no worries we thought, this is standard procedure in most central and southwestern european countries. We paid 20 euros for a four night stay, and we did not receive a receipt. A day later we checked our booking receipt which informed us we had already paid the city tax. We went down to the reception to ask them about this and they informed us that we had only payed 16 euro in taxes to them the day before. When we told them we had, in fact, not paid 16 euro but 20 euro the day before, they refused to believe us. When I told the woman I was speaking to, to ask her colleague next to her who had checked us in she dismissevely waved her hand around and told us that she wouldn't remember. They did not reimburse the 4 euro nor the 16 euro that we had already paid, which meant we ended up paying 36 euro in city taxes for a 4 night stay, ridiculous. Absolutely shameful customer service. Secondly they did not clean our room a single time during our four night stay. One of the days I even checked with one of the cleaners on our floor because we were a bit surprised they hadn't cleaned at 3 pm. They told us it would be taken care of, we rested a bit and went out for the night. When we came back, late at night at about 11 pm, they still hadn't cleaned our room! The room was other than that fairly comfortable with a good AC-unit and very good location with everything central in a decent walking distance. So all in all the service at HF Fenix Lisboa is absolutely abysmal and I would recommend any sane person to stay away.

This is a 3 star hotel, and it is a good one! Their wifi internet is fast, and you can search and plan your trip quickly. Rooms are mid size, but have everything that you might expect from a three star hotel. The cleaning service is good, and if you may need something, they will address it timely. The location is relatively good and many attractions are in 30 minutes radius walking.

I love the hotel. Its on a roundabout next to a park, and close to many important landmarks, and the metro as well. Staff is friendly and welcoming, as well as ready to help. Food is rather nice. What i dislike is the room i got, as it didn't have a work table, and i came here on a business trip, which they were aware of beforehand. I do understand the possibility of those rooms being occupied, but still. I dont think table should be removed from a room anyway. Still, i would recommend this place very much.

Great central location. Easy access to public transportation, and easy walk down Avenida da Liberdade to the Baixa. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The bartenders at the hotel bar tend to be a bit aloof and surly. Otherwise top notch service.

A lovely clean hotel accessible to all the sights. A special appreciation to Nelson at breakfast. Extremely helpful and always smiling. Very welcoming. My friends and I (5 of us) loved our stay and will definitely return. Also can visit the rooftop at HF Fenix Music.

This review is for the service provided by one Nelson G. who works the morning breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast is definitely worth signing up for and the added bonus is being in the presence of Nelson who every morning has the best and most positive attitude that it set us up to have a great day of touring the rest of the day. We were there for 6 mornings and when Nelson wasn't there for 2 of them, the whole demeanor of the breakfast room was completely different. It was not the same without his infectious positivity, attention to all patrons, jokes and overall good vibe that can only come from him. It was sad to have to leave but he will always be a great part of the memories we have of Lisboa.

The customer service should’ve been better. They’re lack of customer focused culture though they in hotel industry. They are not friendly at all and looks unhappy doing the job. I don’t know if it’s a common culture. The only friendly, happy, with good customer service is the hotel attendant. He was very helpful and diligently doing his jobs.

Horrible hotel. The reception staff are very rude and uncooperative. We found a WORM in our bed, and the next day after they cleaned the room we found BLOOD on the bedsheets. The phone wasn't working too. I had to go multiple times to the lobby to ask them to change the bloody bedsheets and the staff was very rude about it and said "we'll do it when we can". No coffee, no slippers, no robes, no hand soap. They even removed our hand towels and didn't replace them. The shower door is also broken and they didn't bother fixing it, and the pillows smelled like foul socks! Extremely disappointed, only positive is the location.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is very central and the metro station just in front of the entrance was very convenient to explore Lisbon. It is also fairly priced comparing to other hotels in Lisbon. I would recommend it. However, here are my honest opinion: 1- It is one of those large chain hotels and you don't get to feel any authentic Portuguese experience. The décor and ambiance is very neutral and international. 2- The standard room was clean, it has everything, but a little bit small. The bathroom though is nice and large. 3- The housekeeping team failed to clean our room on a daily basis. We stayed 5 nights, and on the first day they didn't make-up the room. We thought it was an honest mistake. On the second day we asked the reception to clean the room and the lady of the floor as well, so it was done. On the third day they missed it again. So we let go, and the room was never made for the remainder of the trip. 4- The breakfast is standard, it has everything with nothing extra-special. Of course don't try the pasteis de nata here, and try the one in Belem or at Manteigaria.

Room: spaceous room , okay view. Bathroom and toilet clean Service: very good , they printed out our tickets, alway helpful with answering our questions Breakfast: 4 stars, variety perfect, also lots of healthy choices Location: perfect centered around the hotspots, musea, sightseeings and lots of restaurants

Staff were helpful and friendly, especially the breakfast buffet staff. The room is a little dated, and it gets pretty warm, even when the AC is on full blast. Sink water turns brown occasionally, have to let it run for a bit. Some mold in the shower.

Start with the good- great location, right on top of the metro station, clean room, and friendly staff. Unfortunately, when cleaning our room they took the robes and did not bring new ones, and also did not bring more toilet paper so we were left without..

Rooms are not very big but adequate. They are clean and well maintained. Breakfast is very good and common areas are very nice but what earns them the 5 start rating is the hyper professional staff.

  • 3/5 Nikos K. 1 year ago on Google
We were there for 4 nights. The hotel is well located - easy to reach all sightseeing spots and the airport by underground. Rather old hotel. Cleaning must be improved. Using the same toilet brush and cloth for cleaning all the rooms is a nogo - especially after the pandemic. If you can book without breakfast, do so. It is not worth the money.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable, staff were helpful. Metro is just across the hotel. The hotel is located in the business area of Lisbon. Great value for the money would definitely recommend!
