went for a birthday trip and the team were incredible! extremely helpful with giving information about best places to eat and visit when times arent as busy. accommodated our extremely early checkout time and even booked our taxi to the airport. hotel is in the perfect location, near lots of local bakeries, right next to public transport and starting points for the best trams like tram 28 and 12 and hillside trams, and just down the street from downtown lisbon. room was extremely clean and well set out and the team cleaned it deeply while we were out for the day which was really well appreciated when we got back! couldnt recommend it more!

Very nice hotel and would be a perfect 10 of not for the Metro that is shaking the whole building. So only between 00:30 and 06:30 it was possible to sleep because of the bed shaking with noise from every Metro passing. Service is great, bed is great, room looks nice.... All great points but sleeping during your city trip is also very important that's why we deduct 2 stars. Because we booked early we had a good price. Of it would be more expensive we would rather lower.

Very pleased with the pleasant and caring staff of the hotel (administrators), good location. Regarding one big minus: The biggest downside is the noise, the big and terrible noise from the subway when appliances shake on the walls and plates in the rooms that hang there, conversations and phones are heard from other rooms, noisy neighbors who walk at night and talk loudly, everything needs to be eliminated and better doors, windows and carpets on the floors.

Very good location near metro Anjos station. Rooms are More spacious than expected with lovely interior. There’s a nice garden to chill out too. Staffs are all helpful and friendly. Only downside perhaps is there is no lift, which is not uncommon in Lisbon, so you may have some difficulty if you have heavy suitcase to go upstairs. Besides I’d recommend this place!

The rooms were beautiful, modern, clean and comfortable with a spacious bathroom and a balcony for us to sit on at night. The hotel also has a shared garden which looks great when lit up at night. The staff were also extremely friendly and made my partner and I feel very welcome. The area was also very convenient and close to the Arrios metro station. Would definitely recommend this place!!

We had a great 5-night experience in June 2022 staying at Vila Garden Guesthouse. The service was above and beyond: friendly, helpful, available and considerate. The location is close to metro, and not far from the airport. The room/apt was exceptionally clean and comfortable. It's stairs to your room, but it's good exercise. We received some good neighbourhood restaurant recommendations and help with reserving a fado resto. When you arrive, press the small round stainless steel button to get buzzed in. Highly recommend Vila Garden Guesthouse.

Nice price & offer, nice room, only that it is very directly centred in the City, the Subway can be felt in upper floor, nice indoor garden, also. Welcoming, friendly & service-oriented, also to my friend, Fabio, working & staying in lisboa since few years!!

Although the room was well fitted and spacious, the walls are very thin and our sleep was disturbed by hearing others especially when opening/closing their doors. Despite being on the third floor we could even hear the metro(‘s vibrations, which couldn’t be blocked out with earplugs). So if you’re noise sensitive, maybe not the ideal place, however, the staff was super friendly and helpful and the location is great, easily accessible from the airport and just half an hour by foot into downtown - perfect for a one night stay in that regard.

Had a lovely stay here, great value for money. Room was nice and clean, receptionists gave us a lot of info and helpful tips for sightseeing, good location. Downside is the noise from the subway and bad sound isolation of rooms- if you are a light sleeper, but we didn't have too much issues with it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Vila Garden Guesthouse, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the inviting atmosphere that permeated the entire property. This hotel offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling street, while still being conveniently located near the metro & 20-min away walking from downtown. We were greeted with genuine hospitality from Sofia & the team. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and nicely designed. What truly sets Vila Garden Guesthouse apart is the exceptional level of service provided by the dedicated staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was memorable, offering valuable insights into the surrounding area, recommending hidden gems, and assisting with any inquiries we had. Worth noting access to the rooms (& the reception) was tricky as there are no lifts & the wooden stairs are not very spacious. Vila Garden Guesthouse seems to be a converted house, so they are making the most of the old layout. However, this means that the reception is on the 1st floor (not ground floor) & there is a bit of a workout to take your luggage up & down the property.

Overall a wonderful hotel with extraordinary service. Details below… Noise We were aware that we booked a hotel on the main road of a very big city. There is a buzz of humans, vehicles and sirens plus a little rumble of the subway below. This is normal in a location like this. Also a historical building will often have less sophisticated soundproofing in window frames or other openings. So, yes you can hear the city. But it really depends on where you are and who you are if that bothers you. We were on the top floor in room 401 for the first night. Great view over the roofs and hardly any noise from other guests. This was great. My partner is a little sensitive to sirens. This was a lot less during the night, I suspect because there is less traffic the emergency vehicles do not need them as often. I had a very good 8 hours of sleep. My partners request for a room to the courtyard was kindly fulfilled on the second night. We stayed in the smaller but still super nice room 307. More other guests on the hallway but everyone was very quiet. There was only the faint rumble of the subway to be heard and that stopped at some point in the night. A very peaceful rest was had by all. We got great recommendations for restaurants and cafés, all wishes were taken care of, luggage stored, a small appliance mishap graciously handled and multiple languages spoken. I would habe expected a lot less and was pleasantly suprised! Don‘t miss out on enjoying the cute backyard if the weather is nice!

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The kitchen is well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Excellent location less than 5 minutes walk from transport, cafes, bars, shops, supermarkets and restaurants. I recommend it 100%.

We really liked the location, because it was very accessible by public transportation or by car (Uber/Bolt). The room was clean, but I didn’t give 5 stars because there’s a lot of noise (although the windows help a LOT), you can still hear the metrô going by and the pipes from other guests.

3 girlfriends shared a large room, which was super spacious, comfy, and very clean. Location is easy and central. We loved the little garden in the backyard. It's perfect for a morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine...Only negative was the walk up, 2 flights of stairs. We arrived with heavy luggage, which was not ideal to carry up to or down from the room. Otherwise, it's a great place.

Amazing place in Lisbon, so so so clean and comfy, staff so friendly and welcoming! Metro station super near, lots of shops, restaurants and supermarkets around. Great barber around the corner too (€4.50 for a haircut!!!) Everything was perfect, they even had a room where we could leave our luggage after our stay. Stayed for 2 nights but wish I could stay longer and will definitely be back! Great value for money.

Our stay in this place was above expectations. Everything was amazing. Hotel is very close to train stations, airport, city center, supermarkets, .. Room was clean, spacious, we were even offered a free upgrade to an apartment. The only minor issue is the noise that’s usually coming from people in the hallway or slamming their doors. Metro sound was not really that high. In general, it’s the service that made our stay unique. Everyone was very nice and helpful, especially Carlos. He gave us all the must see places and must do things. He pointed out the things to avoid and the things locals go to in Lisbon (things you’d never see online). He’s very knowledgeable on portuguese history and he’s even fluent in french. Would definitely recommend this place!

Really modern and clean rooms, had everything we needed. Staff were great and the location was good for walking to most places with buses and metros nearby. The garden is lovely :)

We've spent 5 nights here and I was really satisfied overall. The rooms are clean, modern, with air conditioning. The bed is good. There's a very good flexibility in the place as we could check in during lunchtime and we could check out only at 12. Furthermore they allowed us the leave our baggage at the place as our flight back was only in the evening. The receptionist girl was very kind and helped us with a lot of tips and recommendations in the city. The location was also good, not far from the city center but close to a metro station and also close to the famous tram 28, so we could enjoy our ride home with that. Highly recommend this place.

Very nice room. Location is not the best but on the cheaper side and the metro is available to go any anywhere. The hosts are very nice. No issues.

Very nice hotel on the boulevard. Check in was easy and has a pingo grocery shop just a few minutes walk as well. Also zubir spicy chicken is just down the street which is a must try! We were on the second floor and we did feel and hear the vibrations of the metro but honestly didn't really bother us. They also greeted us with some sweet natas!

We stayed here for one night and we loved it! The employees were very nice and even gave us a little welcome gift. The room was very cute with a nice view and we had everything we needed. We felt very welcomed. Thank you!☺️ The host also gave us a lot of great recommendations!

We have stayed here a couple of times when in Lisbon. We love the large rooms even though the only way to them is up...carrying luggage up four or five flights of stairs is never fun...but, once settled in the room it's a great place. Quiet on a busy street with nice amenities within a reasonable distance. The staff has always been extremely helpful and accommodating - to the point of shipping an item we left in the room to North America for us. We've recommended it to others and will use them again.

Boutique hotel close to the airport but within walking distance of the city sights. No elevator (which is mentioned in advance) so be ready to haul your luggage up the stairs. Reception is on the first floor and you will have to be buzzed into the building initially. Garden area is nice and room was spacious. Staff was friendly.

Stay was great for the money. A little loud but quiet for the most part. Remember you're in a old city and these buildings have the same old bones. Staff was super friendly with information that had to do with the city. Location is about 15 min train ride from the touristy locations on Lisbon.

I’ll never go back again. If you like sleeping in a loudy atmosphere is hostel is for you: - You can feel the subway through the walls and the floor every 10 mins, from 6am (morning) to 1am (night) - You can hear the street with cars, police sirens and planes noices - You can litteraly hear the people in the other rooms talking or walking - From 9:30am the staff start to clean the rooms with the vacuum and slaming the doors. It’s also far away from the center, the view is an old building in ruins and there is no elevators. We asked to get a refund and to leave the hostel but they didn’t accept and put us in another bigger room higher but still on the street, and with the subway and planes noices… That’s a shame because this hostel is clean and staff is kind but you’ll not enjoy why you book a hostel: sleeping.

We have stayed at the hotel only for one night. Thanks to Joana from the front desk for map with recommendations to visit. She speaks very good English and Spanish, she is very professional. The room we received was 301. Clean, good decorated, new renovated. There were a kettle, cups, some tee and coffee in the room. Small fridge with drinks. On the first floor there were a kitchen, that it is possible to prepare some food. The small garden is incredibly beautiful at night and during the day. You can enjoy it listening to nice music.

We stayed in a clean, modern room with AC. Our room had a balcony, overlooking the titular garden, where we could eat breakfast. Staff was very friendly. Located near a subway station, easily reachable from the airport, and a stepping stone to other parts of the city. Would stay here again if I'm ever back in Lisboa
