The worst hostel of my life. Very dirty, there were a lot of hairs in the bathroom, they don’t clean anything. Noise is terrible. Smelled very bad. If you shake bed sheets, dust comes to your face. Portuguese Health system should close this place. Terrible. Definitely don’t go!!

Es ist sehr günstig. Es ist recht zentral gelegen. Da hören dann aber auch die positiven Aspekte auf. Personal verstand nur portugiesisch. Zimmer sehr spartanisch und deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Fenster undicht (Ende November ist das dann auch in der portugiesischen Nacht ohne Heizung und dünner Decke zu kalt).Sanitäranlagen ließen auch in der Hygiene zu wünschen übrig. Eher abgereist, als bezahlt war, da unerträglich.

Booked a four-night stay with the bill to be paid at the hotel. With a week and a half to go before my stay I find they have cancelled my booking, ostensibly because I did not pay the deposit (I repeat: when I booked the stay the sum was to be paid at the hotel itself). Would not recommend this to anyway, it’s clearly an unreliable and unprofessional outfit which will likely leave you in the lurch scrambling to find alternative accommodation.

3 stars, and im really being generous here. Start with the pros. There aren't many, really. Price is really decent, location is probably the best thing about it. And the staff was trying to be as helpful as possible, gotta say. Cons - noice. There is a pub right next door, and because the place is just a "hole in the wall", most of it's guests are partying outside on the street. Also, maybe because of the way the buildings are old school, narrow and stuff...it's pretty dark inside. And the bathrooms could do with a bit of an improvement really...they looked like they haven't been renovated since the 60s...all in all, if your only goal is to use the accommodation to sleep at night, ok go for it. Otherwise, pass.

It's cheap place. Very cheap. But it's located in bairro alto. Very loud and party district. For us it wasn't a problem, we knew about it. On the reception there were very polite man with fluent English, although he looks like don't knowing his own language :-P if you expect cheap place to sleep in Lisbon it's good place for you.

Wonderful place. Run by local family super sweet and welcoming and in a great location! Will always go back here next time I am in Lisbon :) close to the ocean and all restaurants.

Also ich verstehe die schlechten Bewertungen vorher nicht wirklich. Klar ist die Lage etwas lauter aber dafür ist man im Herzen von Lissabon und wenn man das Fenster zu macht hört man kaum noch was. Die Zimmer waren groß und gemütlich und die Badezimmer waren gut sauber und wurden oft geputzt. Natürlich kommt es auch drauf an wer mit einem das Badezimmer benutzt im Hotel aber so ist es nun mal. Der Service war auch super. Ich war schwanger und die haben mir netterweise und ungefragt einen Ventilator ins Zimmer gebracht damit ich mich wohler fühle. Also allgemein wirklich ein gutes Hotel für den guten Preis. Man ist in 15 Minuten Fußweg am Wasser und rundherum sind nette Restaurants und schöne Läden. Wirklich absolut okay!
