Restaurant

👍👍 Off the beaten path for tourists but well worth the walk. Small place but seems to be booked all the time. For a good reason - the food is spectacular. Nice and attentive service, will take into account food intolerances and make you something you can eat. Menu is only in Portuguese but they will he... Off the beaten path for tourists but well worth the walk. Small place but seems to be booked all the time. For a good reason - the food is spectacular. Nice and attentive service, will take into account food intolerances and make you something you can eat. Menu is only in Portuguese but they will help you order. Good wine too, affordable prices. As with every other restaurant in Portugal, stuff already on the table will be added to your bill if you eat it but the prices are low. Great olives, great meat and fish, fantastic octopus salad. An absolute hidden gem in Belem.

Amazing, seafood and wine. We got the grouper rice with prawns, the octopus, and the small clams for three people and it was wonderful. The house wine was fabulous. Alex was a sweet and attentive server. The ambience was pleasant. It just was an amazing dinner for our first night in Lisbon.

Great portuguese family business. The food is fresh, genuinely portuguese cooked and the service with Eduardo and Hugo 5 starts. The price for sea food in Lisbon is great. Totally recommend, reserve before due to covid 19 constrains to avoid disappointments. No top 10 dos restaurantes em Alges/ Belém. As gambás a guilho, lulas a algarvia, conquilhas, etc, tudo fresquinho

4.5 stars for the food and the great waiter Alex (thank you!). 0 star for the management of the restaurant. The manager told us to wait for 10 minutes, and we could get a table for six if the guests reserved that table did not show up. (They’ve already been late for 5 minutes) So we waited. And we did get the manager’s permission to use that table after 10 min.  The guests who reserved that table finally arrived when we were browsing the menu. They should have been there 30 min ago! The manager told us to leave the table !! A proper person should learn to keep their word. He was impatient and refused to communicate. We were told to wait outside (he couldn’t even give us an estimation of the waiting time). We ended up fitting six of us at a table for four and had a not very comfortable (of course) meal. Overall, I would give a 3/5 for this place. Again, all stars are for the food and Alex. Alex is a cool and happy guy. Kudos to him! Make sure you make a reservation before coming to the restaurant, or be prepared to wait for at least an hour.

Amazing. Best seafood rice I had in Portugal. Their homemade sauce is just right. I usually hate shrimps but I ate everything in this dish

Food was amazing. The fish soup and grouper rice are still haunting in my mind after two days. We had razor clam, cuttlefish and picanha as well, everything is perfect. Would definitely come again next time.

What an amazing restaurant! We had phenomenal thoughtful service - our waiter constantly checked on us and when we were ordering too much food, he very kindly told us so and helped us to adjust our order to the best in the house. We had the cockles in garlic sauce (SO delicious!!), the seafood rice (also amazing!) and the fried octopus that came with an octopus rice. The octopus rice is actually the best thing we’ve eaten in our entire time in Portugal - it was deeply flavoured, sweet and savoury. The octopus cooked to perfection and tender. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Belém and to avoid other tourist traps! Our whole meal was very well priced and affordable too!

Best seafood rice we had in this entire trip! Highly recommend! The big pot can easily feed 3 adults (Asian girls standard) and you can order 1 more main dish to share.

Local and amazing place to eat in Belem. From the Olives to the main dish that we had. We had the fish soup and the rice with Mero (fish). The soup was super nice as it had coriander as well and is a bit thick which I really liked. The rice was also really good and I loved the dish where it came. The only but for me, regarding the rice, would be that it needed a little punch in terms of flavour but it was so good. Hugo, who served us, was so charming, helpful, and made us feel at home. I would definitely be back whenever I return to Lisbon.

Nice surprise! We found this place based on the reviews and thankfully it was a smart choice 😅 Staff was awesome. Food was scrumptious. If we come back to Lisbon will definitively come back.

This was the most amazing meal we had in Portugal. Arrived for lunch on a Sunday at 12:45, by 1pm was filled with locals. Fish stew, shrimp sautéed in butter, lemon, and garlic, and an unforgettable seafood stew. Avoid the tourist restaurants and head here!

It is an excellent restaurant to go to after visiting the Museu Coleção Berardo. Atmosphere is casual and staff is friendly and humorous. Food portion is generous. The 'arroz de la casa' is a must try if you like Portuguese seafood rice. The soup is immersed with seafood flavor that you cannot help scooping for more. The pork also comes with three generous pieces of pork with a tomato salad. They are pan fried nicely and are very crispy. The clams with white wine is extremely delicious. We use all the left bread to soak the remaining sauce to enjoy the best of it. The dessert selection is great and even with google translation, you may not understand what they mean (like 'the bride's veil'). So please ask the waitor or go to the fridge and see.

A great place to get seafood rice. Their grouper and shrimp seafood rice was so fresh and really hits the spot if you're craving rice after a few days in Europe (like I am, being Asian and all). It's also one of the few places I've found that serves single portions of seafood rice (most places serve seafood rice for 2).

One of the best meals we had during our two weeks in Portugal. Everything was delicious, but the arroz de polvo is a not to miss! The staff is very nice as well!

The serving was very good and friendly. Super tasty fish, but the sides were very plain. I had vegetables and small salad. The coconut desert was delicious.

Memorable, late lunch at this wonderful restaurant. We enjoyed the passion the team had for their food, the advice given and the tastes as the dishes were presented. Friendly, professional service and superb overall experience. Simple interior design and nothing flashy here - just a focus on fish, flavours and the gastronomy of it all! Leave space for the deserts - they were amazing, too!

Squid was delicious and generous, service was nice. -1 star because they tricked us by laying out not very nice cheese and bread at the start and then charging us an extortionate amount for it. -1 star because the deserts were really poor (literally can get better puddings from the frozen section of my local supermarket).

Recommended by the tourist guide Bruno (@tours withbruno), we were not disappointed. The food is fantastic and the staff is super customer oriented and knowledgeable about etiquette (which I’m not). I would eat here again.

A delicious "hidden gem", but actually not-so-hidden, an easy few-minutes walk from Belém's attractions. Try the fish soup and the grouper rice, both house specialties and recommended by the kind and fun waiter. Come hungry, leave full and happy.

AMAZING restaurant and I’m picky. Insane value for the quality and quantity of fresh fish you get. Service is also prompt, quick, kind, and understanding. 3 adults with one toddler, they: - accommodated us kindly in a busy hour, put the stroller away for us - made kid food in smaller portion of even if outside the menu - CUT THE FOOD for the kid (amazing eggs and ham, by the way) - didn’t mind the mess - filled the milk bottle If you’re around you absolutely need to try this place. Congrats again guys
