The service was soo bad!! VERY Very rude waiter. We came as a family of 12!! I am married to a portugues for 30 years plus and have visited lisbon many times. I have never ever had an experience in a restaurant who gave us the worst service ever!! I had to in the end speak to the manager !! Our waiter was soo intimidating and had such anger for no reason. We spent 270 euro in our bill!! The food was soo salty!! This is not traditional portugues food . Its more a barbecue. Meat/fish with lots of salt!!! If not for my mother inlaw I would have walked out!! Its a very busy place and I am sure it's people/guest from the Marriott Hotel!!! The hotel should NOT recommend people here!!! The owner need to take ownership and put some service back and not just see the money coming in!!! Its an open kitchen and our waiter was cutting my niece pineapple straight from touching red meat without washing his hand..he just wiped it in a tea towel!!! I absolutely recommend to avoid this restaurant. Their hygiene is much to be desired for overpriced cost of the salty salty food!!!

All steak are coming with rice and fries. Steak on the hot stone was great. There are bread, butter and some snacks on the table that if you eat, they will charge you at the end, they are not free. At the end check you bill, they charged us for something that we didn’t eat. And it’s very very busy.

Service is slow (when it’s busy!) but the food is seriously amazing and totally worth it. The hunk of steak on a hot stone is one of the best steaks ever. And with sauces and salt. Just amazing if you like steaks. Friendly service. Long wait when busy but great when it’s a down time (3 or 4pm). And still delicious 😋

We found this by mistake on our way to the airport... there was a long line of locals, which is way we decided to go in! And yes, it was simple and GREAT, fresh fish and meat, a bit more expensive then other similar places but I gues they have reputation.

Discovered this place from a recommendation from the Marriot. Really loved it. Great local vibe, friendly and playful staff, and lively environment. It’s exactly what I was hoping for.

Delicious steak served on hot stone so you can choose how rare you want it. With garlic and salt in the side. As side dish you get rice and fries. You get starters served without asking but they are not for free. But they are very good as well. The waiter was very fast and friendly.

Very nice, local restaurant with excellent meat. Loved the hunter sausage and the service was very friendly. Prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality of food provided.

A good eatery packed with the local during peak hour. English, resonable-price menu of local food (mainly meat and fish) is available. My grilled pork rib is absolutely juicy and tasty, along with refreshing octopus salad in a bowl. One of the staff can speak English and he is helpful too. Free wifi is such a bonus.

We went on the last day of the year and it was the best decision. Staff was super friendly, very local, I think no tourists there. Authentic Portuguese food. I would travel back to Lisbon for this food again.

Traditional Portuguese food, great service, and amazing value for money. And the location is hidden away in one of Lisbon’s historic villages, even though you can walk from Laranjeiros metro in 10 minutes.

This is one of the best places to eat grilled meat and fish in Lisbon. The service is excellent. Prices are according to the quality. It is one of the few places that has not been overtaken by tourists. People also go there to watch the football games on Friday and Saturday. The food is excellent! I really like the "costeleta de novilho"! I Totally recommend!

This place was recommended by locals, so decided to give it a try, the place seems like a very local diner, no foreigners, menu seems quite wide, yet some items aren't available, the actual menu was like two papers (both sided), no images, inside a plastic sleeve. Mostly selling Meat and Fish. Overall is a place to grab a bite but not to go for a date... meat seems fresh and gets busy, so they sell it constantly. Olives marinated with garlic and bread is seen on each table, before anyone even sits there.(vacant ones) Olives will be charged on your bill ( I assume only if you eat them ) Staff do try yo be polite, yet seem rather disinterested. Octopus Salad starter was nice. Steak is served with white rice and French fries by default. 10% of the steak were fatty parts or tendon that couldn't be eaten, yet meat was tender, tasty, garlicky. Few desserts available but looked good, yet didn't try any. Prices are friendly.

Amazing steaks on hot stones. A positively crazy waiter who only spoke Portuguese. The no-nonsense atmosphere. The desserts (baba de camel!). Recommended

My sister and I stopped here during a layover, just picking a random spot on the street. We were very pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent and the servings were generous. The price came out to around 35 Canadian per person, but that is reflected in the quality of the food. Even the bread before the meal was delicious and came with a big ball of cheese and delicious sardine paste. The salmon steak I had with the mixed grilled fish plate was the best salmon I have ever tasted. And despite handling at least 12 tables at once, our waiter gave us quick and friendly service. Excellent all around!

I was there on a very busy day and I could only see employees running around and no one had time to take our order. The food probably is also much better on a quieter day. If so many people like to go there, it probably should have more employees to provide a better customer experience. It was too expensive for the experience I had.

Unimpressed. Tiny space stuffed w/ many tables and chairs. INCREDIBLY loud, up to the point that you're unable to hear the person sitting right on your side. Staff very Portuguese, unconcerned and doing only the absolute minimum. It's the kind of place that you only go to eat, and for nothing else, everything there will remind you of that. The food was very average and also very Portuguese-like: something incredibly simple, with lots of oil, garlic and salt. Right behind us there was a table of very loud local people. Terrible experience (not entirely the restaurant's fault), but left unimpressed with the food and the venue. Won't come back.

Amazing food, reasonably priced with good service. Grilled meats and fish are the best I’ve ever tasted. We visit here every time we’re in Portugal. Treat yourself to a great meal here but make sure you make a reservation.
