It started with the room that absolutely stank of smoke. It might be bearable, but we have a little boy and my wife is pregnant. That's why we really wanted another room. Although a room was available, after several calls to booking and with the boss, who only communicated with us via WhatsApp and the receptionist, we had to leave the hotel. At least 3 people could reduce it from 1 night. But the boss spent so long looking for any reason to throw us out completely. So we had to pay cancellation fees and wasted 4 hours in the hostel and saw less of Lisbon. So far child friendly. I could list more things but I'd rather leave it alone. ADDENDUM 1. In the first phone call my wife said that we couldn't accept the room for TWO reasons - because she was pregnant, which was easy to see from her stomach AND because we had a three-year-old child with us. It is outrageous to claim that we wanted to hide our son. So far it has never been a problem to book an extra bed on site or to let a small child sleep in the double room. 2. Even if my wife wasn't pregnant and we didn't have a child with us - we have booked a non-smoking room and expect to get one. I don't care where the smoke came from, but the whole room stank and not just a little as claimed. 3. A three(!) year old child certainly doesn't necessarily need their own bed, at most an extra bed, which we would of course have paid for. We were traveling in Portugal for two weeks and there was NOWHERE a problem with a small child sleeping in the double bed or with an extra bed being booked on site. 4. You can hardly accuse us of a lack of communication, considering that we repeatedly tried to contact the owner by phone - but she simply hung up. We experienced the Portuguese as an extremely child-friendly people, but what happened there was simply outrageous. Rather be ashamed of yourself for having thrown out a family with a heavily pregnant woman and a three-year-old child on the grounds that they couldn't accommodate us (a small child also needs SO much space!).

The worst hostel experience I have ever had in my life. in the rain of Lisbon the hostel was located far from the transportation stop, I was lost in alfama's winding roads and dead ends, I finally found a way to the hostel and enter the hostel, receptionist said last check in time was 10 on and it was 10:35 and if want to still sleep there I had to pay 10 more euros. how greedy the owner was. I don't even know if it is legal to do so. but I was mad and get out of the hostel but cancel is not allowed in agoda so I still had to pay the whole amount of money. The owner of this hostel is greedy inflexible devil, and don't ever consider to stay in this hostel if you read this. there was no near hostel from it and it was so late so I had to sleep outside like homeless person!! I feel I still feel mad about the hostel's treatment to me and hopefully someday owner of the hostel is condemned solely.

The location is near the downtown but our room was very loud, toilet is leaking and the breakfast is very poor for vegetarians. Staff is good.

This hostel is very good. Cozy and clean. I got a double room with a private bathroom and everything was impeccable. Shared kitchen, breakfast and a foosball table that provided good fun. There is a stone cave with some armchairs for smokers, very cozy. The staff are very attentive and friendly, always willing to help.

Lovely staff and cool decor, but the room was extremely noisy all through the night. Sounds from the road (cars and people) and from inside the house (cutlery and cooking/banging from the kitchen). Windows can't really be opened during the day because of the smell of pollution from cars going past outside. Apart from that, great location and snazzy interior, very laid back atmosphere.

Good rooms, nice host, breakfast is available at extra cost and is good. The place is right next to one of the best viewpoints in Lisbon. The place is very near Martin moniz so be a little careful at night

This place is in Gracia/Alfama. It's a quiet neighborhood. Good food next door. Bar up the street that charges 6e a beer, so I walked out. Go to the restaurant just next door, friendly, and good traditional food.

Only a few meters from one of the best view points over Lisbon. There are many shops, supermarkets, coffe shops, bars and typical restaurants around. The staff are really friendly and help to make sure you get the most out of lisbon. Computer with internet, wifi, breakfast and tablefootball are free :) Great atmosphere, make us feel like home. Thank you for everything.
