Famous chain cafe but a must to sit and eat. Great place to go for a late night snack and coffee. Quick service and the Pastel Nata is one of my favorites from here. Don’t miss out of the second floor dining. Came here on our last night. We weren’t too hungry but wanted a late night snack and a place to have coffee. Wasn’t too busy in a 9pm Saturday night either.

Best tarts I had in Portugal! So crispy and not too sweet. The coffee tastes great too and the fresh orange juice was amazing! We brought 3 boxes (18 tarts) with us back home to Canada and shared them with friends. They all loved them. Popped them in the air fryer and they were like just freshly baked!

A must come if you are in Lisbon Portugal, this outlet is located in a very central location and finally we got to the authenticity of the Portuguese egg tarts here and a total worth of calories. Just be careful with the condiment bottle, they put the cinnamon powder for you to sprinkle to the egg tarts , but somehow the mouth of those bottles was too big and you would see from one of the pictures how it ended up. Overall experience is good, here is a perfect place for coffee and snack after you explore the city. The space and seating is spacious compare to many other town areas restaurant in Lisbon and I quite like their decorations.

That's the best place to have pastel de nata in Lisbon. Layers of pastry are crispy and go one from another when you bite it. The filling has other ingredients apart of sugar as it is in other, even famous places. I also liked pastel de bacalhau a lot here. The magic of baking on the ground floor and the interior of the first floor are extra bonuses 🙏🏻

Spent a morning here with my sister during a layover and it was the perfect way to start our morning. We sat in the upstairs seating by the window and enjoyed our breakfast with a beautiful view. Also the orange juice was DIVINE. Would definitely visit here again for a longer trip!

First pastel de nata we tried in Lisbon and I fell in love. Giving it 4 stars as it's not in my top 3, so I think there are better ones, but my 4th favorite. We came two days and the second day they were a bit oily. But nevertheless, still delicious and super crispy. I could eat tons of them!!

A very famous chain in Portugal obviously could not be missing in Lisbon. With high standards of quality and cleanliness it always offers the public an excellent product in a tastefully decorated commercial. it is characteristic to admire the pastry chefs at work behind the pastry shop window while preparing the pastel de nata. The drinks to accompany the desserts are also very good.

Seating is available outside, but there is also a very opulently decorated room on the first floor that is worth checking out. Many visitors take photos of the street scene from the balcony upstairs. Not to be missed. The coffee is delicious, as are the pastries, all to be consumed as you watch the world walk by. All reasonably priced too. Very relaxing experience.

Good pasteis de nata, although not the best in Lisbon. Very good, thick Spanish style hot chocolate. There's seating upstairs, in a very nice room. Recommended for a cosy afternoon snack. No extra charge for eating in, which is a nice plus.

A definite must visit if you’re in the neighborhood and even if you aren’t! The natas are always warm and fresh here simply because they sell so much of it! You can purchase a set including a nata with some port wine but we chose to only enjoy the tart. However, we did return to the counter to get more as you simply cannot possibly stop at one!

The original ”Pastel de Nata” (The Portuguese traditional vanilla cream puff pastry) bakeries coffee shop in Lisbon at the main avenue. Everyone who visit at Lisbon should visit at this traditional dessert coffee shop and taste this delicious pastry in the heart of Lisbon. Here you can taste it originally, very crunchy pastry and soft delicious vanilla cream. Coffee shop is very warm in winter. Beautiful and traditional decoration. It’s good start to explore example city from here :)

It’s quite cool to come here to see them make the pastel de nata in person. But maybe I came too late in the day, the lines were so messy and there is chaos at the counter. I think that could use some work. The pastel de nata itself did not have much flavour but they do provide you with all the cinnamon and sugar that you want at the tables.

Best pastel de nata we had in Portugal. Creamy custard that is not too sweet and the perfect flaky crust to compliment it. One can eat them all day!

We visited whilst on a one day stop from a cruise ship. The pastis de nata are made on the premises. We sat at the outside seating and were served quickly. The pastis were lovely as the cappuccino was also good. We would highly recommend this place if you are in Lisbon.

One of the best custard tart in Lisbon. Compared to other places, Fabrica da Nata provide the most comfortable seats and environment. However, personally I think their custard is more soft ans sweat, it very depends what you like. Do recommended try this place to see which custard tart shop is your best!

It was crispy outside, but already got cold with the filling. The taste was good with creamy texture which is really nice. Kinda disappointed that it’s not just got out from the oven but it’s still ok👍! The croquette was well seasoned and cheap also!

Very nice custards, nice tearoom space, affordable price and tasty pastry! Friendly staff and they also put standing tables for a quick snack while watching bakers making the custards.

I tried so mant pastel de nata in lisbon but this place was better by far! They are always fresh , flaky with crispy pastry. Cream has just right amount of sweetness without cinnamon. I am not fan of cinnamon i do like the way it is optional!

Really nice place with good atmosphere. Freshly baked pastel de nata- served still warm. Liquor was nice too. I especially liked the tea room on the 1st floor with old photographs on the walls. Great view from the window.

Honestly the best Pastel de nata in Lisbon. I think this place is underrated compared to other popular places. Custard wasnt too sweet and had the right amount of cinnamon and best tart pastry as well so flaky!

  • 5/5 SF O. 6 months ago on Google
One of the tastiest nata I’ve had so far! Had two. Try a bite without the cinnamon powder, and try it with cinnamon powder to see which one you liked. Nice to go with espress, but in my case I chose to have port wine with it. Definitely to go back for it.

I must say, this place in Lisbon serves the absolute *best* Pastel de Nata. Despite trying numerous versions, including the renowned one in Belém, nothing quite compared to the exquisite pastries here. They have truly mastered the art of creating the perfect Pastel de Nata. What sets them apart is not only the heavenly custard inside but also the outer pastry. It's wonderfully buttery and carries a delightful salty undertone, which beautifully complements the custard's sweetness. Moreover, the fact that they provide cinnamon and powdered sugar sachets for takeaway is a thoughtful touch, allowing you to customize your treat to perfection. As for accessibility, there's a small step to enter, which might pose a minor challenge for wheelchairs, but it's primarily to reach the food counter. Unfortunately, the upstairs dining area lacks a lift, but this isn't a significant drawback. I chose to enjoy my treats in the outdoor seating area, which was quite pleasant. In fact, this spot left such an impression that we couldn't resist returning multiple times during our stay in Lisbon. The combination of exceptional Pastel de Nata and the inviting atmosphere made it an absolute must-visit. If you're a fan of this Portuguese delicacy, you won't want to miss out on the experience this venue has to offer.

Bought 2 Pastéis de Nata just to try how it's different from others we have tried. The pastry is done right, crispy and flaky. You can hear the crunch when you bite into it. However, i found the egg custard is slightly thicker and tasted too sweet for my liking. Overall, it's still a good pastry.

So yummy and tasty, especially when fresh out of the oven! Really quality Pastel De Natas, not too sweet and pairs wonderfully with cafe or port! The cinnamon offered by this shop is a great touch too! Loved the atmosphere of the shop too!

What was easy about experiencing Fabrica da Nata? The service, the decor, the aroma, the crispy sound of your first bite. What was difficult? Stopping after 24 of these golden glorious eye closing creations!!

This place makes one of the best Portugese egg tarts, if not the best. The custard is not too sweet which I love. Great decor and ambience. There a balcony upstairs as well.

The pastel de natas were so fresh and so delicious that you might want to have 5 in a row (I only had one but I wish I had more). Definitely recommended.

👍👍 I was very surprised to see that even though this is right in the middle of “tourist town” the Pastel De Nata is by far the best I have ever tried. I've been to a few places around Portugal for Pastel de Nata and this place has the best ones hands down! Their filling is unique to others and I find t...

👍👍 We are Americans visiting and really enjoyed the pastries and coffee here. As a warning to other travelers, most the staff doesn't speak English and there us a ticket system to order. 👍 Bakery that has been around since 1829, used to serve royalty directly (if I remember my guide correctly). The sweets, such as the God's Bread, were definitely good and worth a try. The egg tarts are also good, but there are other places with better tasting iterations of them. Overall, a good place...
