Amazing place.

A much written about and very dramatic pavilion designed by famous Portuguese architect, Álvaro Vieira. The use of a simple catenary concrete canopy to enclose a huge unobstructed exhibition space still inspires. The canopy simultaneously provides shade while allowing expansive views towards the Tagus. Definitely worth a visit for those interested in the architectural work of Siza.

Impressive Siza work that is somewhat marred by the fact that it is currently being used as a place to store building materials. Kind of takes the edge off an otherwise sublime and quiet space, but the razor thin concrete canopy is still a magical component, and certainly the most self assured and serious piece of architecture in an area cluttered with design histrionics and subpar post modern design abominations.

Omg!! Totally obsessed with this place! Delicious food, really well presented, fresh ingredients, in a gorgeous space served by cool and polite staff! What else can I add?! Definitely recommended for vegan, vegetarians and carnivorous! Simply fresh and delicious!! Will be back 🫡🔝

For sure a great architectural design - no question about that!! But what I personally miss in many comments is that this has only been possible by the advancement of material sciences and engineering “arts”. For me this is a little bit like modern art: monochrome pictures with wonderful, somhow living and excessive colors - only made possible by the chemist who invented this colors. Just my 2 cents.

Amazing structure! Too bad there was the websummit registration under the canopy… But still. Architecture amateurs, this place is worth the detour.

It needs some civil works. The space is not very well prepared to receive visitors inside and around. Parking near but not too near.

Super cool science exhibition. Best for younger kids. Good section downstairs for older kids but pretty cool all of it

We've yet to see an event at this pavilion but the space is amazing. There's this sloping roof that's held in place by cable stays it's quite impressive. It's a beautiful covered space at the water. It's currently being used as a storage area for many containers.
