Best experience in Europe! We ate 65 meals in Europe. One meal surpassed all the others. Ritalinos is more than the best meal you'll have in Portugal, it's an experience. The food? Amazing. The best... In our case, roast octopus, seared tuna steak, even the bread (infused with turmeric)! The chili dusted chocolate truffles he gave us. And the portions? Prepare to be wowed, and show up hungry. And when you think it can't get any better, you realize the incredible meal you just savored is just a fraction of what you just experienced. We've never met a restauranteur quite like Luis. He literally grew up in this restaurant. When you spend your entire life in the restaurant business like him, it's transformative. How does a restauranteur go from a perfect stranger to a friend over a single dining experience? Luis treats everyone like family, but not overbearingly--rather, with zero pressure. He makes it so easy to just relax and enjoy. He is clearly passionate about being the best host and restauranteur that he can be. He sources the best ingredients, creates the best dishes, stocks the best wines, breads, pastries, chocolates--you get the idea. Everything is the best. So what separates Luis from EVERYONE else in the industry? He refuses to pass the cost to his customers. He will absorb costs himself to ENSURE you have the best possible dining experience, no matter your budget. In an often deceptive restaurant landscape filled with tourist traps alluring you solely for the contents of your wallet, delivering the minimum, Ritalinos stands out as the polar opposite. It is so far above the status quo it inspires hope. I would travel 5,679 miles back to Lisbon, just to dine at Ritalinos, one more time. Saúde, Luis!

It's difficult to believe Ritalinos have managed such a level of perfection! What stands out the most from this restaurant is the welcoming and warm vibe from the owner. He’s super friendly and kind and took time to explain each item on the menu for us. The scrambled egg with sausage is probably an acquired taste for many but we love the pork steak which is well seasoned and very tender, the grouper puff is something nice that we haven’t tried before, even French fries and boiled vegetables are on point. I enjoyed observing the atmosphere where locals come in and out chatting about their day. A very charming spot.

We found this restaurant by chance next to our airbnb. This is the restaurant for the residents of the area. They renew the traditional Portugal dishes to a modern everyday dishes!! Everything is really good and once again in big portions. I love the house service and the homy ambience. Highly recommended!!

The food itself tells the story. So fresh, so good😋The owner is super friendly. It’s our first time here. He makes you feel really comfortable n welcoming. He even offered us Porto liquor n Chili truffle chocolate for dessert on the house. It’s amazingly good. For sure we’ll be dining here again n again.

We came for dinner and we were blown away with this place. The service is excellent from the start. Luis is a master at making you feel welcome. The assorted breads, the pumpkin soup, and tempura fried green beans were wonderful. But the true winner of the day was the sea bass (for 2 people). It was the most delicious fish we ever had. We had a lovely bottle of white wine and finished the night with great desert. This place is a must go and the price is very reasonable. Will be back again!

A rarity in Lisbon! Great food, in an cosy environment framed by a great choices of portuguese wines. We had traditional starters, "ovos com farinheira" (scrambled eggs with portuguese smoked pork sausage with flour) and "peixinhos da horta" (tempura deep fried green beans), which where perfectly made. Main dishes, grilled rabbit, baby squid and oven broiled kid with vegetables. As soon as you tast it you feel the tradition, love and care which are put into the dishes. We blindly trusted the wine selection and that was a great choice. Basically a house, where you feel at home and if you question you'll be able to know the path of this small but delightful restaurant. Staff always very forthcoming and managed by Luis, which is the owner and lives the the history of this establishment. You want traditional great and genuine portuguese food as it should be, don't miss this spot. Prices are more than accurate for the quality vs price equation.

I was especially delighted to have the opportunity to taste the homemade port wine, which perfectly complemented our dinner. The service here is outstanding! We ordered white wine and the server brought out three for us to try. Also, there were no limitations on the dishes, meaning that there was the main then your choice of multiple sides. We had three gluten-free diners which was also not a problem. We showed up 10 minutes before the 15:00 closing -come on in! Very welcoming.

The portions of cod and salmon were large and cooked to perfection. The food was garnished with olive oil and fresh herbs. They were served with a variety of vegetables. You need to eat here.

Extremely impressive family run business. One of my favorite places for classic Portuguese food in this part of the city, with a touch of modernity. Daily changing menu, and the special thing is that the modern meets the old here. They are extremely strong there when it comes to meat. And above all: there are also salad variations and not just a leaf of lettuce as is so often the case elsewhere. Or there are extremely tasty vegetables that habe the taste not from the canteen, but from an extremely fine restaurant. Anyone who has spent a long time in Portugal knows how bad the side dishes are often treated there and, above all, cooked. Not here. This is another reason why this restaurant is an absolute recommendation too. A few tips more. For breakfast, the place is a kind of insider tip, there is not only the most delicious fruit salad here, but above all a whole range of homemade pastries. Highly recommended: empadinha de frango. The coffee is awesome, and feel free to ask if they have homemade black chili chocolate to go with it. A pleasure without end. And without wanting to exaggerate, but also like to ask for family port wine. So, enough now, otherwise I'm afraid that the place will change. (I don't really have to point out the extremely large portions because of "classic Portuguese", but just in case.)

Fantastic food and excellent service! We went there twice in 2 days, ordered some appetizers, dessert, coffee, soup and daily lunch and I must say that all of them tasted amazing, fresh and seasoned. Compliments to the chefs and the owner, who is extremely nice and helpful :) would come there more but unfortynately they are closed for the weekend. Highly recommend!
