Hostel has bed bug in almost every room. And their only option was to move us into a different room with more bed bugs. Their cleaning process to remove the bug is to spray the bed and put new guest in bed right away without telling them guest found bugs the night prior. Theses rooms all still have bed bugs. They need all new mattress and linen in this hostel. Please stay safe and away from here. Me and all my friends and leaving with many bites and staff does not seem to care. The hostel staff was fully aware we were sleeping in infested beds after we showed photos and bites to them. With the way they are handing these bug they will not be leaving any time soon so stay away from here.

There are bed bugs in the hostel and they don’t really do anything to get rid of them! They don’t tell you that you’re checking in to a room where other guests have reported bed bugs to them the nights prior, if we would have known we wouldn’t have stayed there even one night. We left after the first night after a girl in our room told us she got bitten and we saw a bug on one of the mattresses. When we told the reception they said they’ll clean the beds but they just vacuumed and put new bedding on one mattress. They should handle an infestation more seriously and close off the entire room. We left and are waiting for a refund for the nights we had left.

Great hostel, but awful front desk attention, you don’t really know how many people work there. We paid for a terrible breakfast and a girl that was making bracelets which we didn’t know if she really worked there answer us that if we didn’t like it we could go somewhere else. Then a guy with purple hair came and started a fight with her in front of everyone. I just think despite their ages they could be more professional. I hate having to start a day like that or writing this kind of reviews but for people like that in charge other people has to have awful experiences in beautiful places and amazing cities.

Be careful they have bedbugs everywhere and will not tell you !! We arrived everything seemed fine until a girl informed us that she has bites from bedbugs from our dorm. Nobody told us ! We still stayed a night because we believed in the ,cleaning’ of the bed with bedbugs, but the next day we found even more bedbugs in another bed. They didn’t really cleaned it they don’t take the problem serious. We directly checked out even we had 2 nights left. New people checked in and again nobody told them that earlier bedbugs where found in this room ! The bedbugs come from travelers but you need to take this problem serious clean the whole room change the mattresses everywhere and inform the guests otherwise you’ll spread it all over. We still are waiting for a response for a refund

How I almost forgot to review my favourite hostel in Lisbon !! Initially, everything seemed great – spacious kitchen, comfy common area, and social events. However, the nightmare began when bed bugs struck- infesting my room. Reporting the issue to Sergio was dealt in a professional manner, washed my belongings and switched my rooms. However the situation escalated extremely sour from here.. when I encountered the most unprofessional staff member the next morning. Unfortunately not getting this woman name, not to worry - easily recognisable by her grumpy demeanor and lack of customer service skills, the most unwelcoming face of the hostel. She well insisted, I hadn't paid for a 6-bed room, hmm now that seems odd eh ?? Blaming me.. for the bed bug issue ? Her attempt to shift blame was a disgrace to the company. To make matters worse, she wanted to move me back to the same room with bed bugs. A lack of accountability and professionalism was appalling. Now sure, I should have brought this awful behaviour to the attention of your manager, Joao and dealt with it in a professionally manner but… hey you are the expert on professional behaviour here. So why waste anymore of my time, then bring it to the internet for all future guests.. or not guests to see :) Not only ruining your reputation but your companies down too all in one. All thanks to you, miss grumpy well done !! Anyway short story short, I will never set foot in a Lost Inn hostel again after this terrible experience. And neither should you. Despite its prime location and good social atmosphere, encountering "miss grumpy" and bed bugs would ruin any stay. The company's claim of taking matters seriously is a farce. I doubt very much the matter of bed bugs was dealt with very well if at all, just ship the next batch captain, say nothing.. eyes on the prize.. eyes of the prize 🤑 A complete nonsense of a place – steer clear unless you enjoy disrespect and bed bug accommodations !!

I have stayed in this place 3 times now and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in till the time I departed, everything was quick, easy, accessible and most importantly, safe. The staff is super friendly and the vibe of the place is giving. It is clean, spacious, and safe. They have locker spaces and activities that can be done, visits to Sintra, pub-crawl. Overall, I had a great time and would stay here over and over again

In terms of all-round experience, I don't think you can get better than this. Friendly staff, complimentary services (walking tour, drinks, great breakfast @€3, even soup on Sundays) Rooms & bathrooms are tidy + you have your own locker below the bed. Will be back on Sunday and hopefully then again soon.

The location is great and the staffs are really friendly, but rooms are not soundproof, and you can hear everything going on in the street as well as corridor. And there was a blood drop stein on the bed linen so.... :( Otherwise good shower and all.

I cannot thank enough the staff of Lost Inn Lisbon. This was my first experience in a youth hostel so I did not know what to expect exactly but everything was perfect. Amazingly attentive and more than friendly service, delicious food and beautiful location. The staff answer any questions you may have and go above and beyond to make sure you feel at home. Great people to meet and eat your meals with and light and cozy atmosphere. Slept like a baby every night. Will definitely go back to this hostel if I go back to Lisbon!

Bed bugs warning… The night before our stay I was reading the recent reviews of this hostel. I had booked it months before after seeing it had a high rating score on hostel world. However, that night I saw multiple recent reviews stating that the hostel had bed bugs. I cancelled the booking and contacted the hostel. I am not expecting a refund, but it would be nice if they at least acknowledged this issue or offered some sort of apology. I still haven’t heard anything back.

A very good, social and beautiful hostel that is runned by young people. Every day there are activities like pub crawls, dinners and walking tours. For the reviews that say about the bed bugs and cleaning of different places inside the hostel , i have to say that is something that can happen in the hostel due to travellers but the stuff every day try to clean everything. It’s our responsibility to keep every hostel clean while we are staying there. So lost inn thank you and I hope one day we will meet again ! P.S. Great value for the price- including free sangria every nights and a 5 euro breakfast- can also do your laundry for 5euros and many free tours- Too youngish for me ( prefer older, more party for 2 types), nonetheless at the heart of Barrio Alto and near BaixaCaido

This was my first ever hostel experience and I don’t think I could have picked a better place! The staff are friendly and funny and right off the bat make you feel so welcome and taken care of. The accommodations are wonderful, there are so many things offered to do through them like free walking tours and sangria every night, I was so sad to leave! We got massages from Ricardo, you HAVE TO DO THIS! We did it on our last night and were so sad we didn’t do it every night, seriously the best massage I’ve ever had, it put me to sleep😂 if you’re in Lisbon do not stay anywhere else besides the Lost Inn!!

This was one of the most unexpected best stays I've had. From the kind, welcoming, and helpful staff, to the wonderful guests I met. Totally worth it. The pub-crawl was also a great experience, the staff from the hostel genuinely cared about our wellbeing and looked out for us to make sure we were good. Arslan , who was one of the guides the night of the pub crawl ,was so helpful and watchful. He noticed one of the ladies in line getting pick pocketed and he alerted her and the pick-pocketer to stop. Genuinely went above and beyond. I would totally stay here again. Such a wonderful experience.

Th hostel was overall great and the free breakfast and sangria was quite a bonus. But honestly would back for Daniel’s pub crawl it was so fun and a 10/10 experience. Out of all the places we went his pub crawl was the most memorable and fun!

The hostel itself is clean and nicely situated, with staff who were very kind and helpful. This hostel, with its small but well occupied bar downstairs next to the reception desk is perfect for those looking to drink with loud music until the late hours. This music, however, could be heard very loudly from my room above until the early hours and made it hard to sleep, on a Tuesday night. So in conclusion - great for those looking for a party. Perhaps not so great for those in need of rest.

My friend and I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this hostel. The staff were friendly and there were great amenities which allowed for ample socialisation among guests. Breakfast was included and a very strong choice of options was offered considering the price paid. Facilities were clean and secure. Reasonable check in/out times. My only slight criticism would be that the city tax had to be paid in cash, as did drinks at the bar. I was not carrying cash on this trip so this was a little inconvenient. However, generally a very good time was had at this hostel and I would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you.

The Lost Inn felt like it was quite possibly the best first-hostel-expereince ever! The staff were so friendly, the facilities themselves were super clean and it definitely felt like a home away from home during my stay. They have secure lockers (no lock needed, your key card opens it) under the beds for luggage and personal items and the free breakfast, although simple, was just what I needed to start my day. Although I only participated in the free nightly sangria tastings, they offer a slew of other activities and tours. And Mama's Sunday soup won't disappoint! Such an amazing place to stay! Unfortunately I am injured and have stayed “home” in the hostel more than I would usually like. However, this hostel offers a wonderful open lounge, which was perfect for my housebound state, including lots of couches, a tv with Netflix and a PlayStation, and a small reading-nook if I could snag it ;) the staff are also incredibly nice, and there is free sangria every night! I definitely recommend this hostel for just a place to rest your head or spend your free time 🙂

Best Hostel in Lisbon! I have been to this one and Home hostel, but lost inn is the best. Good location for the train and going out, beautiful building, nice people working there and free sangria every night which is the perfect way to meet other travelers.

I stayed at the Lost Inn Hostel from November 7-10, 2021. It's in a very good location close to shops, bars, restaurants and a metro station. When I checked in, the employee from the reception explained everything to me and showed me to my room. I immediately felt a friendly attitude, nice atmosphere. Other employees are also nice, willing to help. Purely in the rooms, in the bathrooms. Spacious rooms have lockers where you can hide your personal belongings. Every evening sangria and you get to know people. Prices in the bar are affordable. I would recommend this hostel to everyone!

Such a great place to stay. Good location, good rooms, nice people. The environments in the main floor is really cool, the music may be loud for some people, but still it's well isolated from rooms if you preferred not to have it. Also it's a place to get chilled out with cool people not just for stay :D My wife and I really enjoyed the days in there.

I'm a solo traveller and I felt very safe in this hostel. The rooms are clean and cozy. The stuff is welcoming and fun. They know how to get that first shyness away, when you arrive at new places. I stayed even longer then I wanted cause I could rest so well in there. I'll come back for sure :)

Stayed here as a solo female traveler, overall I liked the hostel, but I think I’d try out another one next time I’m in Lisbon… Pros: - Close to metro/train - very close to Pink Street, close to Bairro Alto - Clean bathrooms & rooms - Air conditioning - Free Breakfast offered Cons: - Not safe area walking alone at night, so I opted to either stay in, or find friends to walk back with. - Close to pink street (very loud at night, even with windows closed) - No group chat to engage with other guests. I found group chats at other hostels are a nice way to meet new people, it felt difficult to meet people here.

Lovely restored hostel with vaulted ceilings. Breakfast is included with the room and there is a kitchen you can use for meals too. Close to the centre of town and the train station, and in the historic Chiado district it is well situated. You can also join a walking tour from here.

Staff are welcoming,friendly helpful except a dark female staff who works on the dining service. she just ignore guest. Annoyed by some rude male guests who seemed like drunk, beer offered during breakfast. Lounge is quite party and noisy in the evening, so you can decide if you want to stay here based on which type of guest you are.

Awesome hostel, great staff. They did my laundry better, than I ever did by myself :D. Sangria for free everynight, great kitchen, nice chillout area, pubcrawl everynight. Located a few minutes walking from pubs clubs but still pretty calm, few minutes walking to the most importent areas in lisbon. Great Breakfast for 3€ including nice scrambled eggs. Beds could be a bit more private and the airconditioning was sometimes really cold and I couldnt figure out how to change it (never asked though :D). Bathrooms and the rest of the hostel as well were really clean. Would always come back and recommend!!!

The hostel is in a beautiful old building nestled between the city center and Barrio Alto. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hostel has a nice lounge area and kitchen. Coffee and tea is offered for free. Each bed comes with a locker in your room, opened through the magnetic card, so no need to bring a padlock. What I didn't like was that the bed squaked and rocked everytime someone moved, so sleeping wasn't that pleasant.

Absolutely the best hostel experience I've had. The staff was consistently friendly, professional, and engaged. They plan events every single day to being guests together, which is great for some travelers. Every room from the kitchen to soothe was sparkling clean. The location is close to everything you'll need, and yet relatively quiet. I can't wait to return!
