I love this place - it’s perfectly situated in the middle of a garden with plenty of sunny and shaded areas on the terrace so you can choose whatever you please. There’s live music and there’s a large menu as well as cocktails/beer you can enjoy. Great vibes

Great freshly squeezed orange juice. They have some pastries, toasties and other food items. We had some pastries and a brownie. The location is great as it is located in the middle of a nice park. Good cafe to people watch and enjoy a nice coffee

This cafe is a great place to grab a bite in the shadow of the massive trees. The food we ordered was quite good, only odd thing is that their cheese platter doesn’t come with bread, that needs to be ordered separately. On Saturdays you can enjoy the local market and often live music which makes the place really special. Main downsides: the service is VERY slow and, despite having a quite a few vegetarian and vegan options in the menu, they are often “sold-out” leaving fries as last resort. The cash and the toilets are Not wheelchair accessible but all the outside seatings are.

The food is normal, it’s what you should expect at a place like this. The location is great and you can cool off here. However there are a lot of things that aren’t good: 1- they don’t have enough waiters so if all the tables have people you will wait forever for them to come to you. Specially if you sit away from the entryway. Perhaps hire more waiters or reduce the amount of tables to the amount you can handle with 2 or 3 waiters. 2- when the waiters finally come and your guest complain about the wait don’t reply that you are at full capacity. Having all you tables full is a good thing, not staffing your restaurant to handle them is not. I saw 2 tables walking away and plenty of customers complain. 3- waiting a table is a hospitality service, it is not a favorite you are doing to yours customers. Remember that. 4- the ambiance live music is great. Pay them and don’t have your clients to tip them 5–get better management. The prices are good, above standard for someone who lives in Lisbon. You are clearly loosing money with people walking away and more complains that I read here. Plus I can’t imagine your staff is happy. Improve on this and you will get more profit, happier staff and happier customers who will recommend you and come back

This place is in a fantastic location and looks great, but unfortunately, the service and quality of food is awful. It took around fifteen minutes before anyone acknowledged us, and when we did get around to ordering, most of the breakfast options weren’t available. Once we ordered, it took around 30 minutes for some of the plates to come out, at which point our drinks still hadn’t arrived. One of our orders didn’t turn up at all, even though they repeatedly acknowledged it was still missing and being prepared, which turned out not to be true. The food that did turn up was poor quality and some of the bread (which was supposed to be toast) had some mayonnaise and lettuce on it, presumably from someone else’s order?! One glass had lipstick marks on it too. The people next to us got so frustrated that they left without their order arriving, and when I went inside to ask that the plates and drinks that didn’t arrive were removed and to settle the bill, there was a queue of two other tables equally frustrated and doing the same thing. The person I presume was a manager (wearing a white shirt as opposed to a black one) was rude and didn’t seem to care. Other staff were at least friendly and could understand why we were frustrated. I’ve never experienced service this bad before, hence taking the time to leave this review. An hour and a half of our time on holiday wasted. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere!

We stopped here for some drinks before going to a bar nearby. We had some of the worst service ever - it took 20 minutes before we received a beer and a cider and had to remind staff twice about it before they finally came. That being said, good prices for drinks and you get to sit in a beautiful park under an ancient tree. Atmosphere can’t be beat - would recommend for a drink just to enjoy the space.

Lovely coffee. Very busy place among beautiful fig trees. It can be difficult to get outdoor table but inside seating was pleasant with opened windows that let in a nice breeze. They had soy milk which made me happy:)

Highly recommended spot when you’re done with walking. Very nice. Under the shade of some beautiful old trees. Background music from a very good Brazilian guitarist. All good. 👍

Had to wait a little while to be served, and once I ordered it took quite a while for the food to come (I had finished my drink). But it’s a beautiful spot and the food was really delicious, so it made up for the wait. I had the lamb chops and there wasn’t much meat on them, but I was full by the end due to the amount of veg on the side.

In the shadow of the magnificent rubber figs of the beautiful Jardim do Principe Real, you’ll find this little gem of a place serving great coffee and tasty food. Our favorite breakfast spot in Lisbon ❤️

We were tired. We had just arrived at a delightful hotel across the street. And they suggested that we come here for a bite to eat and put our feet up. It was a great suggestion. The wait staff was super, the food simple and yummy plus there was a spontaneous fado music quartet that seem to come out from underneath a giant trees that surround the café. Truly it was romantic, memorable, and easy. Highly recommend it.

They charge 50 cents (no matter the amount you spend) as a service fee to serve you a glass (not even a wine glass) of wine in a dirty glass.

We ordered Sea Bass and were served sea food pasta. We told them, they said it was their fault. We still had to pay for it. Unfortunately we don’t like sea food and had to leave the food untouched. Strange experience. If service would be good, we would probably like it there.

Wonderful location and ideal if you have kids as there's a park 30 seconds further, or if you just want so glorious shade under some ancient trees. BUT every time I have been (more than a handful of times) the staff are always rude, in fact last time we had a lady sigh at us and storm off without a word because we asked if the extra water we ordered 20 mins previously was on its way as all the other drinks had already arrived. In saying thag its not every member just seems to be the majority. Apart from that the portion sizes are more than generous and the price is great, although the huge menu can be a little daunting but hey at least you won't be limited for choice.

Sipping wine and eating snacks while listening to live music under gigantic, old trees... How could you go wrong? Highly recommend!

Food and service are OK, nothing particularly special and the prices are not the cheapest. What saves the place is the beautiful park it is located in and the clean toilets.

Very attentive staff and good food. We came in with our two young kids and they were helpful in finding us a good table. We had the croute de massa (looks like a pizza to me), piri-piri chicken, the peach and ice cream dessert. The surrounding park is a great setting.

Great location and the person who served us was stellar (hence not one star) but, sadly, the food was very disappointing. Ginormous grilled cheese sandwiches (tostas) that hardly had anything inside, thin ham, prosciutto that was hardly prosciutto and mostly fat, almost no cheese. We spent 12 euros on basically bread. Wine was served in a beer glass and black tea was at least up to standard.

Nice outside area, food was good, male waiters literally couldn't care less, just there to have fun and chat with the owner. Not worth the terrible service.

Amazing open air café and restaurante for lunch with live music. Frango Piri Piri is a must try for those who love a fit of spice. Also don't miss out on Batata Frita Trufada.

Service mangelhaft. Ein Hinweis vorab wäre nett gewesen.

👍👍 One of the oldest cafe in Lisbon, founded in 1905. You can choose from huge variety of sweets, bakery and pastry right at the showcase, and they all are fresh. Interior is amazing - feels like you got into antique library. Minimum bill would be around 15€

👍 Nice spot, cool interior, busy at all hours and with a great menu. Juices and smoothies are good, food is hit or miss. Eggs and burger weren’t perfect, but we tried other dishes and they were fine. Reservation is definitely recommended.
