Super nice museum, I haven’t been to any other place like this before. It was very cool getting to experience the history of public transport. Also saw some historical artifacts I wouldn’t know about otherwise. Tickets are very affordable (4.5 euro per adult). You also get to ride an old tram.

This place was a very pleasant surprise. For just 4€ you get to see three different exhibits and a vintage tram ride on the grounds of the depot is included. And this is a REAL vintage tram car, not one of the remodeled types still in service. The trams and busses on display are cool, you can enter several of them! It's a must see.

Very nice museum. Not just a dispatch of tourists. Employees are kind and supportive. Short round trip with a historic tramway included.

Very cool museum with the history of Carris and the Lisbon subway system. Very few people, in fact, I went with my friend and we were the only ones there so the visit is awesome. You also get to ride in an old tram car in between two of the buildings. You can take photos inside some of the vehicles in the exhibition as well.

This is a special museum run by the transportation company. What’s interesting is the location appears to be used for also servicing some of the trams that are in use today. What I was not expecting was, once you purchase the ticket they take you to the warehouse that houses all the retired trains on display via a short tram ride! What a treat! If you like teams and buses, this museum is a must. I can’t think of places like this anywhere else in the world.

If you're a fan of Lisbon iconic trams, this museum is a must. Many interesting facts written in Portuguese and English. The visit also includes a short ride on a private tram that takes you to the exhibition area where you'll get to see lots of old traditional trams an even double decker buses. You are allowed to get on most of them. Be aware of their opening times as they close during lunchtime. Ticket is 4€. There's a small gift shop at the entrance.

Wonderful place to see the history of public transport in Lisbon. Includes short ride on the Old tram. A lot of rebuilded trams and busses.

Great to remember old times, when Life had a different flavour. The kids will adore the ride in an old tram and exploring old bus.

This place is so interesting! You can take an actual vintage carris inside the museum which is such an experience. You can get inside some of the cars too and feel what it’s like to sit at the driver’s seat. Had so much fun!

Hadn't been since I was a child and did not disappoint, quite the opposite!! It is a simple yet quite comprehensive museum, very well staged, and it includes a 2min tram voyage, in a 1960s tram. Don't miss it!!

Cool little museum that's not too far from many of the museums in Belém. It's the company's museum, so it has some interesting history about the company itself, not just the trams. Things like the company music band and the ticket printing operation. Visitors are able to climb into many of the trams and buses, so the kids will enjoy that aspect a lot. The tram ride from the main museum to the warehouse where they keep the trams and buses is a fun feature for the already inexpensive price of admission.

Excellent way to spend a couple of hours on a miserable day. Well presented information and exhibits (descriptions in English too). A short tramride on a very old tram down to the garage where you can see the print works and lots of old trams. Excellent value too. Its directly under the bridge and on the 15E tram or 15 bus route.

Wow, great museum for tram lovers. They have an excellent collection of vintage trams and buses. Great for families as well took our son. It’s right next to the LX factory and halfway to Belém. If you enjoy walking like us, start at the city centre, walk to the museum, and walk to Belém for the famous Portuguese tarts.

What a fun and unexpected experience! We were in the neighborhood exploring and decided to visit on a whim and loved everything, especially the ride portion of the museum. Information is in both Portuguese and English and the facilities are clean. We noticed a class of young children visiting and imagine it is very popular with school tours, so it could be busy depending on when you go. But for only 4 euro a person it’s a fantastic price for lots of fun.

Great museum. Interesting, with English subtitles for everything and a great deal of big bus and trains to see

A bit disappointing, particularly if you have been to the excellent Porto tram museum. Display lacks variety. Signs could be improved, such as indications about where the entrance is and where to go to catch the tram (after the musical instruments).

Lisbon is known for its unique and stylish public transportation system. Carris is an integral part of Lisbon's history and this museum provides a voyage through time with its original artifacts, time capsules and a perfect blend of history and engineering. A must visit museum in Lisbon. Children friendly.

Underwhelming. Maybe l had to high expectations? This museum is mainly for nostalgic locals. Fun ride with a historic tram between the different exhibitions

Pieces from this museum are riding all over Lisbon. This could be charming, but it is not a good thing. Old and not practical. The drivers could be more polite as well.

Recently re-opened post COVID, this small museum inside the Tram Depot was a great find. Entry was c. €5 with a range of exhibits showing the history of the Carris transport operator, before you board the original No.1 tram from 1901. This then drives you around the yard to a second part of the museum which has several teams and busses of different vintages. Once done, the tram takes you back to the entrance. It was worth the entry for the special tram ride alone! A good hit for younger children interested in vehicles/transport.

Nice Little museum. Although I would’ve expected more from a tram museum given that it’s such an important piece of infrastructure in Lisbon. There were a lot of spelling mistakes on walls etc. which makes me think it isn’t very well financed. Regardless, spent about 30minutes and you could enter in some trams and buses which was very nice :)

👍👍 Beautiful place. It's such a pleasure to be here in any season in full sun or under the moon. The Belem tower is awesome ! This fortress in the middle of the Tagus has been the starting point for the navigators who set out to discover the trade routes. The expansive spirit is still present here. En...
