Fantastic seafood meal. Run by a husband and wife duo, serving up hearty and delicious seafood offerings. It is a small eatery with limited seating so it would be ideal to make a reservation before hand (although I managed to get a table for 2 on a Thursday evening) so YMMV. Ordered an octopus rice and a grilled grouper, both were excellent and extremely delicious. Needless to say, the plates were polished at the end 😋. In addition to that, 2 glasses of wine and a sweet tart for dessert set myself back ~€47 for a party of 2. 5/5.

I was looking for a good restaurant to eat with my friends and this place came highly recommended by various websites. To my surprise it was only 3 minutes away walking from the place we were staying at. I called and booked a table and in half an hour later we were there. We were met by the friendliest, kindest and nicest man. The restaurant is owned by him and his wife (who is the cook) and the place itself has a really warm feeling to it. (Like you are at someone's home). The portions were huge and the food was absolutely delicious. We couldn't finish them, but we left some space for desserts. You MUST try the chocolate and orange cake (if available), because it is out of this world. We had so much fun communicating with the owner, he kept making jokes and kept us entertained the whole time. We wish him and his wife a lot of health, so they keep making people happy! Thank you! Kristina

Probably the best meal we had in Portugal so far. The owner was super friendly and inviting, we finished our tour earlier than expected so we got there before it was even open. The owner saw us outside wondering around and he asked us if we wanted to go wait inside while they get ready. The fish was super fresh and the octopus rice was done to perfection. Highly recommend it

A truly special place, typical Portuguese and run by a couple of whom she is the cook and he serves the tables. The dishes are excellent and finally a restaurant where you can eat everything homemade and with love, and the menu changes every day based on market availability. The baked fish was delicious, as was the rice with octopus and fried prawns. A truly recommended place, away from tourists and run by real Portuguese!

It took us a while to get here from the city center, but it was worth it. Very friendly owner, who speaks English and is a big fan of Chess game. The best Octopus soup of all that we tried in Lissabon. They also have a list of fish, which is available and can be grilled for you. Credit cards e.g. Visa are accepted here. The place is not huge, I'd suggest to reserve to be on a safe side. Overall, very good experience and would definitely come back.

An authentic restaurant with very warm, friendly staff. The fish is fresh and the prices are very reasonable. We ordered the sardines and grilled sea bass (on the coals). Meals with drinks were about 20 euro. A hidden gem in a local neighbourhood.

Please take note the dinner starts at 730pm. Call in and reserve seats. The place was so popular. When we visited there on Monday, there was a queue. Order the "fish shrimp rice", one of the best dishes we had in Portugal. The restaurant is a small family shop, owner is a nice old man and his wife is the chef. When we dined there, the atmosphere was so good. It felt like visiting grand parents' house. The owner was warm and humerous, and took care of every guest. Very enjoyable and memorable dining experience.

Like the atmosphere....the restaurant is small but provide a very intimate feeling. Food is good but a bit too salty for Asian. Service is good but slow ...need to reserve enough time to enjoy the food here. Price is normal...each dish about 10-20 euro

An excellent fish restaurant with really good food and a daily changing menu. The owner gives you detailed advice. The fish is fresh and absolutely delicious. Definitely recommended if you are in Lisbon. The entrance is somewhat inconspicuous from the outside. The furnishings are cozy and down-to-earth

This was the best meal we have had in Portugal so far! A lovely restaurant, led by a family with extremely good quality food and fantastic price-quality ratio. We left empty plates very soon because the food was delicious. The owner served the food and spoke to us, he was a really lovely man. If you play chess, he may play with you! We could not recommend more!

There are many good restaurants, but this is a very special one. While the owner serves the guests with a lot of dry humor, the wife conjures up the best dishes, prepared completely fresh. Linguado and sea bream were simply great, probably even charcoal-fired. The patatas fritas are very fresh and the flan is world class. The Vinho Verde is also at its best. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, relatively small and definitely worth a visit.

We ate at Crisfama yesterday and we were very excited! I would even say it was the best fish I have ever eaten. Super tender and fresh and completely fair in price. The steak was also buttery tender and delicious. The host is super warm and accommodating and the atmosphere is very familiar and pleasant. We would come back at any time and recommend this small, sweet, charming restaurant to anyone who wants good food. A lovely evening and a lovely encounter that we will remember. Thank you very much and all the best!!

Together with my friend we have visited Crisfama couple of weeks ago. Located in Alfama, one of Lisbon’s oldest areas, this place is a real gem. The place is run by husband and wife - Fernando is looking after guests and Teresa is cooking. The place is very small and it’s best you book before you go. But let me tell you, the food is absolutely delicious. Prepared from scratch, fresh, flavoursome - even the bread rolls are being baked as you order! We have enjoyed beautifully cooked fish and then home made chocolate orange cake for dessert. Fernando was such a great host, he made us feel very welcomed, in fact he spoke to all of his guests. If we ever are in Lisbon again we will definitely be back. This is the place to go if you want to taste genuine Portuguese cuisine.

We chose this restaurant through the trip advisor reviews before we left on our short City break to Lisbon. We were not disappointed. The food and service was so good we reserved for the next night. I had fish the first night and steak the second. Both were fabulous. The owner is very friendly and cannot do enough for you when you are there. The quality of the food is excellent and you really feel that you are having a meal with a Portugese family. I really recommend you book so you are not disappointed. We visited 31st March and 1st April.

This was an absolutely lovely eating experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a delicious, authentic, and peaceful meal in Lisbon. Quality to price ratio was perfect... spent about 50 E for the two of us. We made a reservation over the phone and the owner was happy to oblige despite us speaking English. I think this is a necessary step, as there are only 5 or 6 tables and you may be disappointed if you try and walk in. We ordered the grilled fish of the day, the octopus rice, and for dessert, flan and a chocolate caramel cake. Everything tasted good, but I have to say the octopus rice and the cake were the stars!!!! Absolutely excellent (although I will note that the rice has cilantro). The dishes all felt super authentic and the atmosphere was relaxed and personal. The owners are a husband and wife team doing it all from start to finish, so be patient and enjoy the experience. We spent about 2 hours enjoying our food, as well as the company and sass of the sweet owner. Much thanks directly to his wife, who worked so hard and made all the food (since we did not get to thank her in person).

This place is a gem away from all the touristic traps trying to sell food. This place has a good attentive service and reservation is a must. I am a chef and can say that the food here was one of the best i ever had. The salmon was cooked to perfection in a nice garlic olive oil mix. The meat was also tender and juicy. Even a simple a vegetable soup was incredible. Please give these guys a hefty tip. They deserve it!

The boss is really the boss here! Really friendly and who wants to satisfy you at all costs. But don't disrespect him. Charming little tables. We went on a midday time. In the evening I think you need to make a reservation. You want to eat typical and fresh...go for it. The addition is correct. Main course coffee and wine for 2 for 50 euros. It's possible to get cheaper here if you choose basic. Treat yourself to sea bass, hake, meroux, sole, etc. Also outside the historic center..

Fantastic food! Fresh clam, squid and prawns! The steak wrapped with parma ham was tendered. This is a very local restaurant with only a few tables and so please book a table in advance if you can. The owner is friendly and humorous and very accommodating.

Super friendly restaurant with happy owner. Food is good, a little on the salty side, but our guess is that's Portuguese cooking in general. Tuna and sea bass were perfectly cooked. Came back and ordered garoupa. Perfectly grilled. Best fish I have had in Lisbon so far.

The food is delicious (cod in cream and Portuguese-style beef) but the best thing without a doubt is the treatment of the owner. Highly recommended

We had a very nice evening with great food in this very cozy, family owned restaurant. We enjoyed oven-warm bread, delicious olives, followed by fresh very good fish and a tasty dessert. The food and wine were a delight! Fernando is a very warm and humorous host. He is incredibly dedicated to making you feel completely at home while his wife is amazing in preparing all the delicious Portuguese meals. We will definitely come back, Fernando! ❣️

Lovely place. This is the closest you get to feeling invited to someone’s home for dinner that you’ll get. The husband/server is so kind and a lot of fun. He loves having his restaurant filled with people and conversation. The wife/chef is VERY talented. Food is truly incredible. Dinner won’t be rushed, so expect to sit back, savor each bite, enjoy conversation with those you love - just how they intended.

Restaurant discovered by chance but the best we could have had in the Alfama district. Fresh products (fish++) and conviviality are essential. We went there twice in 3 days. Recommended +++
